Sometimes I get the previews, and sometimes I do. I get them when I watch at 12:30 on the CBS affiliate. When I watch at 4:30 on Global, the news cuts them off. That's just here in ON though!

I have a stong suspicion that Lil' Nate is never coming home, at least not in the foreseeable future. If he didn't come home for Christmas, that means not until this summer, and by then Shemar Moore will be gone again, since he's only signed up for 6 months. Plus there is very little they can do with him at this point, since he can't date his sister/cousin Lily and there are no other romantic prospects for him in his age group. They also don't seem too interested in giving anything major to Olivia these days. I think just the fact that they've mentioned him again is a red herring, and due only to the fact that Malcolm is back.

The Phyllis/Lamon break-up scenes are getting gratuitous. We've seen at least 2 different times that they've basically admitted it's over. I wonder if Lily will get equal treatment to "it's over" scenes with Malcolm. Oh wait, he's her uncle, I forgot.

Ok I have a legitimate question. Is Damon supposed to be Nigerian, Jamaican, Australian, English, or American. Because I swear his accent changes every other sentence, and it is confusing since I usually just listen to the show while I am working.
Also the WHOLE Lily character grates my last nerve. The voice that goes high and low on cue, the breathy way she speaks of Uncle Malcolm-she is killing me!!(and ruining that fine fox Malcolm for me.)

I understand that a young actress like Christel Khalil could think that Shemar Moore is hot. She's wrong, but I'll allow for that possibility. What I do understand is why they are letting her play it like a romance. It's squicky.

I totally thought Nick was going to ask The Victator if he was going to take the CEO job away from him and give it to Vicky. I was actually impressed that he seemed to have her best interests in mind. Although she should be offered Neil's old job. She is qualified for the position unlike Dickolas. Any word on the re-cast?

BondGirl, I actually think Ashley has looked pretty the last two days. I just didn't want to be the first to post it. Don't get me wrong. I still hate her. My SpermBurgaringWhoreCowFromHell hatred burns strong.

I think I need to make some sort of peace offering to the SoapGoddess to get this show on the right track. It's in desperate need of energy IMO. First on my list is the Victoria recast. I'm so hoping that the actress who is cast is strong and compotent. I need to see Dickolas and his twit of a wife get smacked down. It's just not going to be as sweet if the NewVictoria is as simpering as the losers she's going up against.

The Lily/Malcom scenes have a strong ick factor for me too. There's been something off with Lily's reaction to her UncleLover from the very beginning. Somebody should have pulled the girl aside ages ago and fixed the problem. I'm not sure if it's because the actress has a crush or not. I seem to remember her playing the scenes the exact same way with Wesley (if anybody other than me still remembers him). Maybe she's just that incompetent. I know she can nail the emotional/over the top scenes but she's always had a problem with anything that calls for a subtle approach.

In other news..........I still don't give a rat's ass about Damon or whether GayT will rope Brittany into being his latest beard.

Yeah, Phyllis just runs Newman's website, she left Jabot a few years ago. Neither Dru or Phyllis is qualified, neither is Nick or Victoria. I hope she gets her ass fired. I don't like Nick but she is being insubordinate and disrepectful right now.

Neither Dru or Phyllis is qualified, neither is Nick or Victoria.

That would be my point as well. Neither Phyllis nor Drucilla is qualified to run a lemonade stand much less a corporate division. Nick and Victoria, on the other hand, are professionals compared to those two. At least they seem to have had some experience at the executive level, bringing Neil or Victor papers to look at and folders with numbers for him to look at. As for when the last time Phyllis actually did any work, that would be about the same time Drucilla last did any work. Which I can't remember.

I liked the idea of JT and Mac...once. When they were younger and he was a bad boy and not Paul Jr., loved them back then. And I had high hopes when she returned but she was such a damned soupuss and trying to push him in Brittany.

I too wish that they would get off the Jabot-On-The-Verge-Of-Collapse SL. It is sooo old and I am sooo over it. I actually have been very disappointed with the show in general over the past 12-13 months. I have watched almost every episode ever since the late 80s - but this summer, the quality of the show just went downhill for me. I watched over the Christmas holiday and it seems to have improved. It reminds me of why I stopped being a loyal AMC fan - they spent too much time and energy on "new" characters that I could care less about, and eventually I got fed up with it. I think that why Y&R has been the successful show for so long is that the main characters/major families have stayed at the core of the show - new characters come along for a little while to shake things up, but then they leave! That's the way it should be! For example - although Kelfin is growing on me a little bit, I really don't think that character should have been on the show this long! I'm so sick of the "Everybody Hates Kevin" stuff. Of course they hate you! Now leave town! Ugh. Like I said, the most recent eps have been good - so I have hope that the show will go back to "great" soon and I'll resume setting my VCR.

You know, this forum is WAY more entertaining than the actual show!

On today's U.S. episode, there were some pretty tight close-ups of Malcom when he was in the GAC talking to Dru before Lily showed up. If you look closely at THE BANDANA, you can see that on the edge of the print, right in the very middle of his forehead where the corner of the bandana is, it says "Made in China."

Times are tough for the former photog. Can't even get a damn designer bandana! Gotta go with the Walgreen's couture!

Ashley is the one character on this that I think is always, no matter what's going on, a Grade A bitch.

The others only get bitchy, she seems to have her bitch switch flipped to on permenantly. So it's really hard for me to understand her motives, for anything. I mean, yes, of course go to the man who tried to destroy the company for advice, Naturally. And her attitude about it just...it doesn't make sense. She knows that Brad, John and Jack hate Victor but she acts all put upon and self-righteous when they say this is a horrible idea. Well, hellow heifer, what do you expect? Psycho.

So that Victoria won't want to come back and (possibly) usurpt his role at Newman? Since when did he care all that much about Newman Ent? I thought Nick was sooo happy being a family man and a coffee entrepreneur. And if he DOES want the division to fail, why insist that Neil be a part / package of Dru heading up the division? I just don't get it.

I think the spec was that he put Dru into the position so that the division would fail due to her lack of experience.

I'll be honest, the only reason I am still watching at this point, is because of you guys and our fearless leader Darn. Y'all make the show worth watching, if only for the snark.

I think, and this is pure spec., that Dru's 'promotion' will lead to the decline of the NE cosmetics division, and will give Jabot the much needed boost. I pray to the soap gods that when Victoria returns, she'll be kicking ass and taking names as the new exec. at Jabot. Oh please, oh please, oh please.

They're going to make us wait 'til February?!? Holy drawn out storyline, Batman. Lily doesn't look anything like either of her parents, so I predict that the tests show that neither Malcolm nor Neil is the daddy. Who is? Victor Newman, of course. He's fathered half of Genoa City as is.

The mention of Dru's headgear (it was distracting, albeit amusing, watching her continuously stroking and caressing that dang feather) reminded me to give y'all a possible update on the wherabouts of another inatimate object we've all grown to love. Can't be sure, but I saw what looked an awful lot like BLUE PLATE on ATWT the other day. I think it was in Lucinda's study. Sorry don't remember if that's the correct location. I just remember being so struck by seeing such a a familiar looking accessory on a differnt soap. Even to the point of audibly shouting "Hey-there's BLUE PLATE!" to absolutely no one in particular, as I was jogging on my treadmill. It's moments like that when I start to think that I watch a little too much of these shows. Anyway, someone might wanna' tell Nikki where her treasured piece of ceramic has surfaced. I'd suggest putting Detective Clueless on the case, but he has his hands full bitching to Michael about not having a frikkin' office...You know because THATS why he can't seem to be able to solve a case. The lack of office space...Yep...

OMG! I thought the exact same thing, but while I was lounging on my couch. I didn't say anything because I didn't think that Big Blue Plate would moonlight like that!
