Anyone tuned in? What are your thoughts?

I missed it, but I'll try to tune in next week.

I saw it and enjoyed it. I've been a Monica fan since it was just one of dem days. I really look forward to her new album and it seems that B Cox was really trying to get her to understand her place in this current climate of music. It seems she is trying to get her songs played in the club (as a means to expand her fanbase). But Monica isn't really known for that and when her songs were playing in the club (that last album), she didn't sell and claimed it not to be a true representative of her.

Anyway, I will be watching every week because I am interested to see what Monica and B Cox have planned.

So have I, but Monica is just too damn hood for me---singing about Sideline Hos and stuff. I can't take it. Miss Thang will always be my favorite (though After the Storm was pretty good). And, watching her with those diamonds in her teeth and next to her eye--meh.

I only caught the tail end of the premiere when she was on stage singing "Still Standing" (I will probably tire of that phrase before the season's out), but after hearing some positive reviews I'll try to stay tuned for the whole season.

For a while there I used to call Monica 'thugette' because she was just...er, rough. I first noticed the arm tattoo they tried to cover up in "The First Night" video. Then there was the period she dated C-Murder (how fitting) who I didn't realize was almost 10 years older than her. Now a huge upper thigh/leg tattoo as seen in the "A Dozen Roses" video as well as one on her neck (sorry, not a fan of these ugly tattoos on otherwise beautiful women), rolling around on a bed looking not quite sexy singing lyrics likening the bond with her boo to the tightness of the jeans on her behind. No, no, no. Almost fifteen years later (wow) "Miss Thang" is still the album IMO, and oddly enough I feel her vocals the most from that period of time. Just about everything she's released since has paled in comparison (even though I did move to "Everytime the Beat Drop(s)" after getting over my initial feeling of disappointment of her releasing such a song) but after seeing her shut down Keyshia (who I like as well) one time too many in live performances of "Trust" I'm anticipating what the new album may bring.

The interviews I read or hear of her she seems so genuine and not put on. And despite what people may say, the cockatoo doo is fye! I much prefer her current hair color over, say, Kandi's who sometimes rocks a similar hairstyle.

I absolutely love that this show is like the anti- Frankie and Neffie/Tiny and Toya.

The last episode had me wondering what ever happened to my Miss Thang cd. Or was it a cassette?

Monica's voice just gives me chills. I am exctied for a new album.

Funny you mention that because I was watching the latest episode and she was performing in a club singing some of her first stuff. It was then that I really noticed how much she has changed over the past 15 years. It didn't even look like she should be singing "Why I Love You So Much". It's like such a beautiful song just doesn't go with the package she is presenting.

I guess I have overlooked the changes she has made over the years since she was still making good music. I didn't mind the armband in the "First Night" video or even the huge tat in the "So Gone" video. It wasn't until the music started to fade that I noticed how she has grown into adulthood. All in all, she still seems like a decent individual so I will just hope that she can return her music back to where it belongs. I'm just happy she still has her voice.
