CAST OF CELEBRITY APPRENTICE 3 ANNOUNCED..
Among the faces this time around are former Met and Yankees star Darryl Strawberry, ex-Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Sinbad and big-haired pop star Cyndi Lauper (who seemed visibly upset during the shoot when she heard that her longtime friend, wrestler Lou Albano had died earlier that day).
Sharon Osbourne ("America's Got Talent") and Bret Michaels ("Rock of Love") -- two reality TV stars -- are on the show this year. Actress Holly Robinson Peete and funny lady Carol Leifer, who wrote for
"Seinfeld" -- the character of Elaine was based on her -- are also in. Wrestlers Goldberg and Maria Kanellis, Australian celebrity chef Curtis Stone and Olympic gold-medal swimmer Summer Sanders round out the crew, who will shoot the show over the next month.

Someone in
Wikipedia has also posted Rosie O'Donnell (Rosie's a loser, she's a big fat loser!!) & Jimmy Fallon (Hey everybody, don't forget to watch my show later tonight, hello? hello???) as contestants.
I would like some confirmation on both of these.
Or is Sheldon just screwing up Wikipedia again?????

There is no way either of those people are on the show. Rosie wouldn't do it and Jimmy doesn't have enough time. Remember that anyone can edit Wikipedia.

Wow, what a list. Ex-Governer Blagojevich? Sharon Osbourne? Cyndi Lauper? This trainwreck will make last season pale in comparison (I have got to track down Jim Bozzini -- that's Martha Stewart's HatefulJim to y'all -- and convince him to start doing a snarky blog or something!)
And I agree with Pembleton. Considering the way that Donald has trash-talked Rosie O'Donnell in the past (even going so far as to hint that he'd steal her partner away from her if she wasn't careful), Hell would freeze over long before she'd ever agree to do the show.)

I love Cyndi. Cyndi is great. She and Sharon won't suffer any fools lightly. But Blago? Blergh. Never heard of Maria Kanellis or Curtis Stone. I can't see Rosie working for him but she could be peripherally involved in a task, since it's all for charity. And I think she and Cyndi would know each other, Cyndi being very active in supporting gay rights.

Another Olympian? When will Trump learn that they are terrible on the Apprentice?
The hockey chick in LA, Nadia Comaneci and the softball pitcher in Celebrity I, and Scott Hamilton in Celebrity II.
She probably won't last two weeks.

Summer has been in the media biz for a fairly long time at this point. I think she's probably more savvy than the female Olympians and less of an ass than Scott Hamilton, so I could see her lasting a decent amount of time.

The only ones I don't immediately recognize are Curtis Stone and Summer Sanders, so I have no opinion on either of them. (Though based on business acumen alone, I wound't be surprised if the chef comes out ahead of the Olympian this time 'round.)
I have no idea how Darryl Strawberry's doing these days, but if he has the same.... personal problems that he did during his playing days, he'll wind up being another Denis Rodman. The same wth Brett Michaels, really.
Cyndi Lauper ought to be entertaining, at any rate, which will probably translate into her lasting a bit longer in the show. Final four, at least.
Between his business sense and his notoriety, Blagojevich will probably make it near the end, too. (Unless Trump signed him up just to make a point, in which case he'll get the boot early.)
Her in-ring persona's a bit of an airhead, and that's probably colouring my opinion, but I don't see Maria Kanellis doing very well on the business aspects of the show. She makes for great eye-candy, though, so she'll probably stick around a while.
No opinion either way on Sinbad, Holly Robinson Peete, Goldberg, or Carol Liefer. Probably early- or mid-season cannon fodder.
Sharon Osbourne's got the right combination of personality, name recognition, celebrity contacts, and buisness sense. (She did manage Ozzy at the height of his career, after all, and no doubt had a firm hand in his resurgence in popular culture a few years back.) She's definitely my pick for the win this year.

So - if Blago has to miss a day because he needs to appear in court, will Trump react the same way as he did when whats-her-name had to miss a day for court for a DUI? Or maybe Trump sees corruption in a political office to be a lesser crime.

It'll be worth watching just for the hair-off between Blago and Trumpie!

Sharon and Cyndy were on Howard Stern yesterday. They were doing a charity hamburger function in NYC yesterday. By the little they said, it appeared as though the teams were split by gender.

My question exactly. Was it Cloe Kardashian?
Anyway, what's in it for Blago? He and his wife are unemployed and it looks like nobody will hire them at this time. From what I understand, they do not come from old money and years of employment did not make them wealthy. They do need the money just to pay their everyday bills - house, food, kids' school, etc. That said, does Trump pay contestants for participation?
When does the new season start?

Cash. That's what's in it for Blago. He gets paid.
Let's not forget that his legal problems are directly tied to his personal greed. The released wiretaps make it very clear that Blago didn't think the Governor's pay ($155,600) was making him wealthy enough, so he wanted to leverage his position into some outside paychecks. preferably with little work involved.
The affidavit said Blagojevich discussed getting a substantial salary for himself at a nonprofit foundation or an organization affiliated with labor unions.
It said that Blagojevich also talked about getting his wife placed on corporate boards where she might get $150,000 a year in director's fees.
He also allegedly discussed getting campaign funds for himself or possibly a post in the president's cabinet or an ambassadorship once he left the governor's office.
"I want to make money," the affidavit quotes him as saying in one conversation.
