Man that is the worst way to go out. Even the cameraman had no idea when they lost it.
Are they allowed to use something other than the fannypack to hold their passports because if I was on the race I would use a specialty holder

Ok, I am starting to get a troubling Zach and Flo vibe from the poker players. They have horsehoes up their asses. Can we get rid of them and the other stuntcast contestants, please?
Bummer about the lost passport. Those guys were perhaps my favourite team.

Jeez. I knew that was Jackie Kennedy. How the hell did most of the teams miss that? Did these people never notice her in a history book?
Shut up Lance. (That was for last week.) SHUT UP LANCE! (That is for this week.) Shut up Lance's martial arts moves that are scaring the host!
Poor Zev and Justin. I know losing the passport on the Amazing Race has been fairly rare events, but twice in 3 seasons? I would be more paranoid losing than my money to the point I would duct tape it to my stomach. But what a horrible way to exit especially running such a good leg.

That is a really sucky way to be eliminated. I felt bad for Dev because he didn't lose his passport and they came in first but it was meaningless. Lance the douchebag still needs to go, and I find that he is incredibly rude to his fiancee. Perhaps they need to rethink the getting married thing because neither of them seem to treat the other with a lot of respect, and while the race can be stressful, it is not real stress like illness or losing a job or anything else that could happen during their marriage.
Phil's expression when Lance was kicking up a storm at the pitstop was priceless. I still think the guy is on roids.
When I travel I usually am pretty paranoid about my passport, and so I do find it hard to fathom that Justin didn't immediately put it in the fanny pack as soon as it wasn't needed. Perhaps it was stolen from them, or at least it was by the time they realized it wasn't with them.

Teri telling Lance to SHUT UP over and over again was my favourite moment of the night. It almost made up for Zev & Justin losing the passport.

Dude, I'm Canadian, and even I knew it was Jacqueline Kennedy O.
I have to say that was really a bummer that Zev and Justin got eliminated the way they did. The same thing happened to me when I was teaching in Korea [almost]. I couldn't find my identification card and they wouldn't let me enter the security area until I showed it, even though I had literally used it 5 minutes ago to be verified by Immigration that it was valid enough to leave the country. It took nearly 1/2 an hour to find it (It fell between the pages of Harry Potter 7) and I BARELY caught my plane. It sucked so I really felt for them.
I must be the only one who likes the Poker Girls. I think they're really funny.

I think we saw exactly one racer correctly pronounce Phnom Penh.
They may not all be old enough to remember the Vietnam War that made it a household name, but they should be old enough and aware enough to have heard of the place.

Next to Kris & Jon coming in second, that has to be the saddest eps ever. Nice to see such deep friendship between guys. I wonder if they ever did find it or had to get a replacement.
I did laugh when one of the Globetrotters said the woman with the scarf was running away from them.

Oh my heart, it breaks. How sad is it to see what was shaping up to be my favorite team eliminated because of a lost passport.
telly, I'm the same way about my passport. It goes in a specific compartment of my carry-on, and it stays there until I get home again.
Loved Team Globetrotter and their scarf woman trying to escape. "That was cold!"
Now, I'm avoiding the spoilers, but if I were to be told that Lance and Keri are Philiminated soon, I'd go check out how. Because Lance cannot be banished from my tv screen soon enough.
Only two teams recognized Jackie O? That's sad.

Dammit, dammit, dammit. That sucked. That really, really sucked. Also, the show saved all the drama for the last ten minutes, so the episode as a whole wasn't very good, either.
I did, however, enjoy the montage of people mis-identifying Jackie Kennedy.

I may have to watch it again, but I recall Justin walking through the marketplace on the scarf task with the fanny pack around his waist and it was open. The "pack" part with the stripe was in front. Maybe the passport fell out then?

I really want them to go home, and I have never rooted against an all-girl team.

That would have been a much better episode if they hadn't spoiled it in a commercial that aired right before the episode started. (I managed to avoid it the entire week too)
Otherwise, not a bad episode. It seemed to go very quickly.
FT & BE are wearing jersey's now? That might be taking "team uniform" too far... But I love those guys, they run a nice calm race.
The fact that most of them couldn't pronounce Phnom Penh or recognize Jackie O makes me weep for the American education system.
I recognized her, but I'm not sure I would have out of context. She isn't really "taught" in American schools, except as a side note, having been a first lady. I'll admit I don't know anything she accomplished other than her marriage, her dynasty, and her fashion sense. Did she have a political/educational platform?
As for Phnom Penh, I doubt that is taught in schools. The Vietnam War is barely touched upon, and Cambodia as a part of it is even more rare. For those too young to know much about the Vietnam War at all (I'm 27, and really don't know a ton) I think knowing Cambodia/Laos were even involved is more than some people my age and younger would (seriously. I don't think most people my age and younger know the North Vietnamese set up base there). That's something I learned about in college, when I got involved in organizations that were involved with POW/MIA things, not high school, or even college history classes (though those were sparse for me). It didn't shock me at all that racers couldn't say it. We had racers who couldn't say Ho Chi Minh, and in previous races Helsinki, and other well known cities.

That sucked hard. As far as third episode eliminations go, this is as depressing as Lena & Kristy's adventures in the hay (TAR6) and Mark & Bill breaking the rules in TAR13, followed by one of them almost dying wrestling a cholita. Forget Lance for a minute . . . this is the second time the poker players have been saved. They're not the most detestable team in the field, but that have Flo/Zach luck, and that not bode well.
Shut up Lance. (That was for last week.) SHUT UP LANCE! (That is for this week.) Shut up Lance's martial arts moves that are scaring the host!
Yeah, what was that about? The guy is such a friggin' tool, I swear.
Tasks were okay. I probably wouldn't have recognized Jackie O without her pillbox hat. Monkey Roadblock looked great, and the teams got to keep the masks.
Life will go on, people. We still have Gary & Matt and the Globies. While I would've liked Zev and Justin to slide on the snow in Dubai next week, they'll be okay. Zev's been great, and Justin wasn't the dope I thought he'd be from his bio. I sincerely hope they come to TARCon . . . I may not have Asperger's, but as somebody who has felt isolated most of my life, I can identify with Zev.
Next week: maybe Keri will conduct an impromptu Roadblock and busy Lance in the sand.

Oh, SON OF A BITCH. That sucks! I'd have been in tears. Not just because of the missed experience of the race, but also, now they have to figure out how to get home. (I'm with y'all who check their paperwork repeatedly when they travel - I know where all my documents are. I am paranoid and a little nitpicky, but on the plus side, I've never gotten stuck anywhere.) They were so nice! They liked each other and were having fun, and they were fun to watch as a result. DAMMIT.

Well that was depressing. Sucky way to go out (just ask Toni and Dallas). Especially after coming in first.
Overall though it was a pretty boring episode. I really wish they'd stop with the needless airport suspense. I was rolling my eyes through the whole first 15 minutes. As soon as they kept showing the people on the flight saying "there's no way the other teams are getting on here!" it was obvious they would eventually make it. Is this supposed to surprise us after 15 seasons of it? Just show them all getting on the flight and move on to more location stuff.
I found Lance and Keri kind of amusing tonight, except for his obnoxious martial arts moves at the pitstop. I like the globetrotters, because they have a nice sense of humor with each other and are enjoying themselves. Hardly saw any of the poker players tonight (seriously, I'd be surprised if they were on the screen for 60 seconds).
I did appreciate that there was a couple of actual clues instead of directions (which is turning into a nice trend this season), but the tasks were pretty dull overall, especially the trying-to-be-funny roadblock.
Overall it was kind of a blah episode.

OMG, this was another thing that shocked me. Why, I'm not sure. They even interviewed (or VO'd) that they aren't strong in communication. Walk away people. This race is only going to point out your weaknesses.

How come the crappy, annoying teams never lose their passports?
Was hoping their Amazing Taxi Driver would come through for them and have found it in the cab.
I did notice the open fanny pack at the scarf stall and was also wondering whether they lost it at the market. That would be a much harder find than a woman with a scarf.

That was a sucky way to go. Hope we find out what happened at some point.
I would have been shocked if the Chipsters had been eliminated, because they had almost zero screen time this episode. I'm not even sure how they ended up in last place. Other than Maria being somewhat inept at the monkey challenge, it doesn't look like they did anything wrong. I think they must have lost all their time on the ride from the hotel to the market, because I know they left the hotel with at least 3 teams behind them, but were last to arrive at the Detour.
So if they were lucky not to be eliminated, I'd say that was somewhat counterbalanced by having been at the bottom due mostly to bad luck/things beyond their control.
The Lance Show can be canceled any time. Somebody needs to spike his morning coffee with a bottle of Xanax.

Zev and Justin you will be missed. Man after kicking so much ass it must have been gut-wrenching to get eliminated over a misplaced passport after coming in first place.
I still like the Poker Chicks. I really can't blame them for their bad performance since this leg seemed to rely heavily on cab drivers and it was clear they had a crappy one. I'm hoping they're able to pick it up next week in Dubai.

My CBS started the show 45 minutes late so I am now catching up.
The Zev/Justin elimination was heart breaking. I had tears in my eyes the whole time. Love that they are such close friends that there is no blame game and angry confrontations. Sorry to see them go though esp. since I just realised they are both kinda cute :)
Rest of the episode was meh. Highlights : Scarf lady trying to duck away from the Globetrotters was hilarious. Loved just watching Phil strolling through the monkey place (suh-weet junkage Phil!!*swoon*) The taxi driver Zev and Justin had was so nice too.
Low points: All things Lance and Keri ( that 'martial arts' move at the mat was particularly sickening).

Well, there goes my favorite team.
Sigh.
A blah episode otherwise, to be sure. Fake airport drama (almost 18 hours waiting around at the airport, what the hell kind of race planning is that??), so-so tasks.
Telegraphing the big surprise of the episode in endless promos was about as stupid as stupid gets. It's not like this episode was so brimming with drama that they could throw away the climax in commercials.
We didn't even see Tiffany until the last seconds of the episode. That was just ... weird.
Not only are both young couples pretty bland, their names both start with "M" and "C". As if I wasn't confused enough!
Lance isn't even interesting enough to rise to the level of a reality show "villain." He's just a boor.

Agree, its a real shame. I might not recognize Pat Nixon, or Rosalyn Carter, but I find it surprising that anyone wouldn't recognize Jackie Kennedy.
I'm not terribly surprised by the failure to pronounce Phnom Penh. When I was in high school, American History stopped right after WW2 (even though it was over 15 years after Vietnam)
Sucky way to be eliminated for sure, and the Poker chicks get another break. Hopefully they got replacements fairly soon so they could go to ES.
I wonder if the detour planners arranged to have some families near the helmets. Otherwise, it seems a bit random whether one would be able to find just the right family 'make up' to buy the 2 adult and 2 kids helmets. At least someone did that detour.
