"I don't hate you. I just think you're stupid." Okay...
Think their trying to go for the Real Housewives thing, like what Bravo is doing.

Ahhhhh...what do we have here....another group of high society pretentious women except this time they have their daugters in tow. I just saw the premier episode so I am not really famliar with these ladies and their offspring yet, but this is a Real Housewives combined with a Keeping Up With The Kardashians type of show.
One thing I can say is Cindy, I think that's her name...she had on all red at the polo show, needs to tone down the makeup big time. I think she's looking for a young stud. She was eyeing one of the young polo players big time. IMO, Cindy is not a cougar and won't see courgar status in this lifetime ever again.
Chanel and her mother act more like sisters than mother and daughter, at least in this episode. I give Chanel kudos for wearing her natural hair but she needs someone to style it for her. I know her mother can see she needs a hair stylist and yet she lets her run around looking like that and they are suppose to be in high society. In one scene I swear Chanel hair was sticking out all over her head. The mother acts more younger and looks cuter than the daughter.
Will be checking out the next episode.

Her hair doesn't look "natural" to me.
I think I'm gong to like this show (if I can remember to watch it). At this point, I only like Patty and Jackie. The blonde haired one who was bitching about P and J being late is going to irk me, I can tell already.

Ugh, I really hate that I wasted a half-hour watching this foolishness. I didn't like any of the mothers or their daughters. All seemed to be over-acting for the cameras and they just weren't all that interesting. Patty's eyebrows creeped me out, and Cindy's look was just kind of off to me - the big hair (which was very thin) and the heavily made-up face really aged her.
Prosperity2day, I was quite shocked and surprised that Chanel was sporting her own hair, and didn't have weave all down her back. However, she needs to get to a hair stylist ASAP! She could really sport a cute, short hair style, so please take some of that money that you are claiming to have and get your hair done.

Agreed. I watched with my neice and she suggested that maybe it's a case of the pretty girl in high school that hangs out with cute girls but not *too* cute, so maybe the mom doesn't get Chanel's hair done to keep the cute advantage. She could totally do that short 'do Toni Braxton had back in the day, or any of Halle Berry's short looks. Her hair doesn't have to look that coarse. It defeinitely has that overstraightened, "I want my hair to be straight like all my friends" look that my daughter had before she got braids.

Lawd, when I saw Chanel's hair, I gasped. Chanel's hair is extremely damaged and is in serious need of a trim and a deep conditioner. She'd look adorable with a pixie cut a la Halle Berry. I'm natural, always have been, and I'm a big supportive of women going natural instead of using relaxers, but it is possible to be relaxed and have healthy locks. I wonder who does her mom's hair because something ain't right if the mom's hair looks healthy, and the daughter's doesn't. I'm assuming they go to the same salon.
I liked the mother/daughter duo that were nicknamed the "wannabes". When the mother yelled at her daughter that she was too selfish and the daughter sat her ass down and shut up immediately, I was surprised.

Channel flipping just now and saw something I missed before... Why does Pamela feel like she has to pass a message to the Jaguar (or as Pam says, jag-wire) rep to beware of Patty? Maybe he likes Latina women; if she turns out to have some quality he doesn't like, he'll find out on his own. That ticked me off.

Ha! It's not that I like them because they are underdogs (I'm not one of those people who always roots for the underdogs), but they just *seem* less prone to believe their own hype and think their shit doesn't stick like the rest of them.
I'm natural, always have been, and I'm a big supportive of women going natural instead of using relaxers, but it is possible to be relaxed and have healthy locks.
Very possible (me for example, lol). Chanel probably got one of those kiddie relaxers when she was young and jacked up her hair. I've seen many girls with hair like hers where that was the primary impetus.

I'm not quite sure how "wealthy" a few of these families are. Obviously Patty and Jackie aren't because they've said as much. And the girl bragging about a new H3?? I mean, yay, you got a new car which is more than most get, but if you're rich enough to be in THE social elite in ALL of Dallas, daddy couldn't of sprung for something better than an H3? And I could've sworn when they showed Chanel and her mother talking in their house, it showed their kitchen and it looked like they were in an apartment. I'm gonna be interested to see the stories popping up in the local newspapers about these families to see what the real story is about them.

I thought they were living in an apartment, too.
I didn't see the whole episode, so I may have missed this, but what does Patty do for a living? She said she does everything possible to provide for her kids, so I'm thinking that she wasn't left that much money when her husband passed away, especially with the "wannabes" title.

I noticed that too and thought, 'how lame.' I guess by social event of the year - they must've meant for their cul-de-sac.

Pam's obvious jealousy at Patty getting that guy's attention was palpable. I'm assuming Patty felt he should've been talking to her and only her - seeing as she had the *honor* of driving his jag before the match started.
Cindy's look was just kind of off to me - the big hair (which was very thin) and the heavily made-up face really aged her.
They gossip about Patty - but Cindy was the one who looked like the make-up gun was set to 'clown'. Yikes. No way would she have a shot in hell with any of those young polo players. Dream on, honey.

I had DVR'd this show and made the mistake of watching it when I was tired. I swear they must have introduced 15 sets of Mothers and daughters. Who does the make up for everyone on this show? I think someone from the circus. No one had tasteful makeup that enhanced their features. But in particular I was focusing on Bozo (Cindy?) when she took a sip out of her wine glass - no lipstick was left on the glass! Maybe she had her lips tatooed red?

In one of the talking-head interviews her lipstick is bright pink instead of red - so I don't think her lips have been tattooed. She also looks like she's had a face lift because she has that permanently 'surprised' look.
Loved Patty's hat at the polo match - and I thought Jackie looked very pretty in her outfit.

I totally missed Jackie's eyebrows because I was looking so hard at Patty's lack of, lol. Did Patty have extremely thin eyebrows or was she one of those shave-them-off-and-draw-them-back-on types? I really couldn't tell.
Why do people do that?

And then you reach a certain age and you can't see that well, but apparently you still think you can draw them on just fine. That is truly a sad sight to behold and it usually goes along with blush that is applied to look as if someone has slapped you briskly in the face.
Poor Chanel. She handled her gay prom date very gracefully.
What kind of woman tells the clearly balding man she is out on a date with how much she hates bald guys? And then TH's like
he is the loser. Oh, and let me clue you in, dear, as to why you are getting pudgy, bald guys....you're old. When men age they cannot slap a shit ton of makeup on their faces and call it good. They get thicker and many of them lose their hair. Can't deal with it? Date younger men. Warning: some of them are also pudgy and bald. Also, not all people are attracted to clowns. I know that you have the reputation of being friendly and fun-loving (with the little cars and the seltzer bottles), but personally you all give me the creeps. I cannot bring myself to blame a man who feels the same way.

andmeTo answer your first question, Yes! There is a very popular country song about cleaning the shotgun when the boyfriend comes over to pick up your daughter. Well actually it's about a year old. But guns and Texas go hand in hand. Funny how she seems way more scary than stepdad. (I take it the young guy is stepdad.)
I feel really sorry for Hannah, she's got a tough road to go. When Hannah goes to college, Pamela will probably rent/buy her a house near campus, so she can come visit (control) way too often.

I came here to figure out what FBO meant and I see that it's "Facebook Open", but what the hell does that mean? I don't do Facebook.
I'm not sure of all the names on this show, but the only mom who doesn't come off as a desperate poser is Chanel's mom. Is she the only mom who works? I heard her say she's a stylist. I didn't hear any of the other moms mention a job. Maybe jobs would give them a grip on reality and let them know they aren't so special. I'm really hoping Chanel's mom had never met the prom date and Chanel was just too blinded by puppy love to not see her date was gay. If mom met him and didn't clue her daughter in, that's not right.
None of the girls bug me too much, but I can see some of them rebelling as soon as they hit college with tattoos or shaved heads. Other than Chanel's mom, the other moms are just so pushy. Back off and leave your daughters be.

For some reason, Pam's husband comes across to me as her "trophy" husband. He doesn't seem half as interested in Hannah's life as Pam. I can't see him threatening some kid who's taking Hannah to the prom, but he said nothing when Pam smiled and threatened the boy.

FBO = FaceBook Official. Like, once you put it up on Facebook for everyone to see, it's official. So once you change your status on there from "Single" to "In a Relationship", it's for real, haha. You'd be surprised how many problems that can cause (imagine along the lines of your BF not wanting to put up there your his GF, hence why it's a big deal once your officially change your status). I'm kinda ashamed to know so much about this.
Glad to see more of Gigi in this episode. And did anyone notice the exterior of Chanel's "house" not matching the interior? As in, the teeny tiny kitchen with no eating area being attached to the family room, which was then 10-15 feet away from Chanel's bedroom?
