Poor Keyshia Cole. First, Frankie (her mom) & Neffe (her sister) humiliates her constantly on her own show. Now, Frankie & Neffe are going to bring ever more shame to Keyshia by having their own show on BET. It will be about the struggles of daily life between them. The first episode of this show will air on August 25th at 10:30pm on BET.
Here is some more information about the show, Frankie & Neffe.

I was surprised that I actually liked the show. Neffe really loves her mother. ANd dare I say Neffe looged good last night. Make-up was on point.

I watched last night because there was little else on. I should have gone to bed.... Frankie annoyed me when I sporadically watched "The Way It Is" so I don't know why I thought watching a show where she was one of the main characters would be much better. I don't understand why a fifty something year old woman wants to hang out with twenty something year old men and vice versa. I wouldn't mind watching a show about just Neffe, as she seems like she is serious about making changes in her life and making a beter life for her and her family, and I would love to join her on that journey. Frankie seems all talk to me and is a source of unending, unnecessary drama and foolishness. That said, I probably will watch this regularly, or at least the reruns BET will undoubtly play over and over again, because I am a sucker like that.

I don't know why I watched either, but my overarching thought was: Is there confirmation that Frankie is off drugs? Oh, and I was obsessed with their wigs, but I'm generally obsessed with hair.

As much as I like Keyshia, she's the one who gave the green light to the show so that would be on her.

I watched this last night because I was curious about how Neffe and Frankie would act on their own reality show. I mean, judging from their behavior on Keyshia's show I had to check this out.
It was not as much drama as I expected...but....this is only the first episode. I do have to give Neffe a bit of credit though because she does seem like she is TRYING to change. I hope SoLow is doing more than just cutting the grass and driving Neffe around. Neffe look pretty good last night but I think she can forget about getting closer to Frankie and having a loving relationship. She will find out just like Keyshia did.
I don't think the life coach will have any influence on Frankie. IMO, as long as Frankie has the money to supplement the lifestyle she is living now, she's fine.
I don't like to talk about a person's mother but Frankie had the nerve to say she didn't want to call Keyshia but she could use some financial help, yet she had those young dudes hanging in her house with their nasty asses sitting on the counter top. It ain't no respect there. Why don't she ask one of them for financial help....but I think we all know the answer to that.
I am not looking for Frankie to change and it's not because she can't, it's because she don't want to. I don't know if Frankie served her time or was let out early, but Keyshia got her mouth fixed, new hair and introduced her to a better lifestyle and she's still acting crazy. That's why every time I see her crying those fake tears about reconnecting with her children I laugh.
I don't know about anybody else but, IMO, I'm pretty sure she's still smoking.
I will be watching episode 2.

These women irritate me, yet I watched this show. Frankie is a mess and clearly has a drug-addled brain. She needs some real therapy and some guidance on how to adjust to a drug-free lifestyle.
Neffe did looks pretty good last night. How is she supporting herself? Is it just through this show and the other one? What happens when both shows are off the air. I appreciate that she appears to try to be doing well, but good lord she whines a lot.

I tuned in to this show for the 2nd episode and again it was not bad. It does seem like Neffe and Frankie are trying to mend their ways and come closer together. Neffe seems like she is really trying to better her life and her makeup looks really nice. Her kids are cute.
It was nice of Frankie to buy Neffe the dining room table and chairs and I hope this kind gesture does not come back to bite Neffe in the ass.
What I can't understand is why does Frankie dress like a bag lady on the show. I mean, does she not realize she is on her own reality show about changing her life for the better and is walking around looking like a bum.
When Frankie was at her new job as a radio personality giving advice to callers(how she got that job I'll never know) and she said she never makes the same mistake twice. Frankie then said she has went to jail 3 or 4 times but it was never for the same thing. I was rolling.
Her thinking process is so whacked the she doesn't even realize the mistake she was making was continually doing certain acts that kept her going to jail.
I really hope she can get it together.

that one! Thought I was the only one to notice her constant stinkface. She always has this worried look on her face, or maybe, it’s in her eyes. Her expressions kinda remind me of Mary J. Blidge’s- even when she's laughing or smiling her eyes/brows have this constant look of worry…or constipation, if you will, in them. It’s kind of annoying for me.

No one can tell me that Frankie still ain't on something. She's shady. She hangs with shady characters and she still got stubborn crack headish tendencies. She also looks about 100 times worse than she did on the first season of The Way it Is and that's before she got her teefus fixed and some new hurr. No matter the case she still acts like a 10 year old and it's really sad. I'm just waiting for Neffe to put her on full blast and let us all know that's she's still using and she's probably never going to stop using.

We all know Frankie is still on something. IMO, Frankie don't want to stop getting high and she ain't fooling nobody but herself if she says she's not. All those crocodile tears she sheds about wanting to bring her kids together is nothing but talk. She was given a new way to make money, but it seems she only spends it to keep her same old lifestyle going.

On point with that. When Keyshia's show first started and Keyshia got her fixed up she was looking pretty decent, but on this show Frankie looks a mess.
If you were trying to straightened your life up and was keeping away from drugs and alcohol you would be looking better and better as time went by not worse.

Thank you all for posting these comments! I watched "The Way It Is" but I don't have BET anymore, so I wondered how this show had been going. Glad to hear that Neffe seems to be trying to get herself together, but it sounds like Frankie has not changed a bit.

According to Dr. Drew....or was it Intervention? When a person starts doing drugs/alcohol at a young age and continues for many years like Frankie, they remain at that age emotionally even after they stop the subtance abuse. It makes sense when you listen to Frankie and see the people she associates with. On top of the brain damage the drug use did to Frankie she never matured past the age at which she started doing drug. Her brain-age will forever remain the same which is pretty scary if you are close to her.

Every single time she starts up with that mess, I have to roll my eyes. She says it because she thinks it sounds right to outsiders, but we all know she is full of shit.
I saw a video of Frankie walking down the street with a group of people, and nobody can convince me she isn't a crackhead. She walked by a group of street musicians, and kept reaching for this young woman's body and violin. She backed away, and Frankie kept getting in her face, freaking her out, so a male musician had to stand between. Then, Frankie walks by a dog that is tied to a tree outside of a shop, and she reaches down to hit it really hard. The dog didn't bite her, but it should have bit her crazy ass. She also physically assaulted a white dude who was just standing on the sidewalk, confused as hell at what was going on.
I wouldn't blame Keyshia if she just stopped talking to Frankie.

Me too. And to be honest I don't think that Frankie would be doing them any favors by contacting them.
On the last show when they had that "family reunion" all she did is act up. She scared her grandson, upset his Mom, her daughter & she probably re-alienated the son that was there. It wasn't a happy scene even though Keyshia tried to be optimistic at the end, saying "that it was family being together."

What does "man down" mean in Frankie's context?
I think "man down" is Frankie's way of letting everyone around her know that things aren't quite going her way. IIRC when Keyshia got her an apartment instead of the house that she purchased for Neffe she referred to living in the apartment as a "man down situation." I think her other catch phrase "code ten" is similar to "man down" but perhaps to a more severe degree. But this is the mind of Frankie so who knows.
Question: are they still living in that house Keisha had got them in Georgia, or are they somewhere else now?
Neffe has moved into another house. Elite (the sister younger than Keisha who sometimes appeared in The Way It Is) now lives in the first house that Keyshia bought. Neffe mentioned that the first house was in Riverdale and that she feels safer in the new home. Frankie still lives in the same apartment that she moved into tat the end of the last season of The Way It Is.
ITA with everyone who says Frankie is still using. Her mannerisms and total disregard for others scream cracked out to me. Also, I don't think TPTB are doing her any favors by showcasing her behavior on television. The woman is clearly not healthy and should not be exploited on a "reality" show. Frankie totally believes her own hype and that she is now a celebrity in her own right. I would love to see the show address her issues instead of the farce of she and Neffe mending their broken relationship. I think Neffe is genuine, but perhaps not smart enough to know that she any Frankie will never have a stable relationship unless Frankie sobers up and addresses her past in a real "not for TV" way.

That's so interesting. Does alcohol alone do this? or is it in combination with hardcore drugs like crack, etc??
The older and older she looks, the more creepy and strange her young behavior appears. And Frankie is dating really young men,(the 20somethings) ...I wonder how she is able to get them THAT young because at that age men can be superficial--and Frankie damn sure don't look young and fresh..for a 20something to be dating a 50something year old crackhead does nothing but damage to their rep or have things changed?

Come on, now, you know how she gets them that young - Keisha Cole is her daughter and she (Frankie) has been on TV for a couple of seasons so they know she either has money or has access to money. They are looking for a free ride and she seemingly doesn't know any better and is probably spending on them like crazy. Pitiful!!!

Yes, and not counting Frankie's unwillingness to fully own up to being a lacking mother and letting her daughters explain to her (
without Frankie getting all defensive) how they feel, Frankie's 20 year old boyfriends' behavior and desperation disgusts me even
more than she does. I mean, how low can you be to use a an obviously, cracked out, annoying, old-looking 50 year old woman? Just, ugh!

I'm sure Zo (the boyfriend) is willing to do "whatever it takes" to live in Frankie's seemingly very nice Condo. He might be on the streets if it wasn't for Frankie. And I'm sure his boys don't mind hanging out in her place for a little TV time.
It's frustrating to see Neefe getting so crazy when she can't get emotionally what she needs from her mother. I just want to shake Neefe and tell her it ain't never gonna happen. Not unless Frankie gets a WHOLE lot of therapy. Neefe wants a grandmother for her children. Neefe wants to got to her Mother's house and find a fridge full of food and a safe place for her kids to visit grandma for a while. But instead she finds boyz from the hood and the stench of cigarettes in the air. Then Neefe goes off on these guys when its her mothers' fault. I'd put Frankie's brain-age at between 14 -17 years old. (look how she dresses) So hanging out with a bunch of twentysomething guys must seem pretty cool and fun to her.

I wish Neffe would concentrate on being a good mother to her ever-growing brood, and work on providing a safe, happy, positive environment for them to grow up in. Frankie is simply unable to be a mother to her kids, but I really think she wants to try to be a grandma to the grandkids; I think that is about all she can handle. Neffe needs to accept this and keep it moving.
I really like Elite and I am amazed at how much she and Neffe look alike. I didn't watch all of the old show, so don't know a lot about her, but I am assuming that she and Neffe must have the same dad. She really seems to be a calm, rational person, which Lord knows these two need to have around.
With the exception of one little one boy who was crying (not sure who he was, but it wasn't Jaylen), was anybody else surprised that none of the other kids seem to be at all frightened or upset when Neffe came in and started all that screaming and yelling at Zo? I was disturbed and I was watching it on TV; I know when my kids were little they would be upset whenever the hubby and I would raise our voices at each other, and we never reached the level of shouting that was going on last night. I guess this just shows the kind of craziness and confusion that they have been exposed to. Maybe it's just me, but I thought that whole scene was crazy and there is no way I would have had my kids to witness something like that.
Frankie and Neffe, do better. Please.

I saw that but those kids are probably use to the adults screaming and cursing each other out all the time. Frankie and Neffe screamed at each other all through Keyshia's show and the kids were in a lot of scenes when they did this. It's really sad because we know those kids will resolve problems with their boyfriend/girlfriends and others' the same way when they get older.
What got me was when Frankie went to the store to get snacks for her grandkids. Most of what she bought was junk(unless the producers edited that scene). They were spending the night but I didn't see any milk, cereal, natural fruit, juice, or food for dinner. Did the kids bring any sleeping bags with them?
IMO, Frankie should have started out with keeping 2 of the kids and worked her way up with the other ones. Taking care of 6 kids for the first time is a bit much for anyone, let alone Frankie.
I know Neffe is hurting from a lot of unresolved stuff, but she is crying just as hard on her show as she did when she was on Keyshia's show. Give it a rest with the crying ALL THE TIME Neffe.

Just like with Frankie, when Neffe breaks down, I have to roll my eyes and change the channel. It's old now. I get that she has issues from her childhood, but she needs to actively seek help so she can move on from it.
Congrats to Neefie. Here's hoping that she focuses on the children she has now and on bettering herself for their sake.

justaskme OMG. That premier party looked like one hot mess. I have to say I have not caught this show yet, but was flipping channels and noticed it on BET. Didn't recognize the names so just skipped past it. Surfin' the boards I found this page. After seeing everything posted here I don't know if I can bring myself to watch the show. I have watched a handful of Keyshia's shows and have always been stunned by the behavior of her family. She (Keyshia) has made good and is working hard to raise her family up and this kind of foolishness is just triffilin'
I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks the mom is still using. IIR isn't Keyshia's adopted mother normal and functioning. I remember Frankie being so threatened by the foster/adopted mother and running the guilt game on Keyshia and she always falled for it to the point that I had to stop watching the show.
What is the premise of the Frankie and Neffe show? I am a big reality show junky and usually I never get on the producers for putting such trainwreks on TV, but in this case I think BET is wrong to air such dysfunction.

I just caught up on the entire season of Frankie and Neffe and I wanted to ask a question to those that watched Keychia Cole The Way It Is. In the first season, Keyshia had a best friend that I believe worked for her as her assistant. Then they went on a trip and Keyshia said that Ronique was acting like it was all about her and we never really saw Ronique again. Cut to one of the last episodes of Frankie and Neffe and Ronique is hanging with Frankie. Does anyone know if Ronique still works for Keyshia? I though they'd stopped being friends after that first season episode.

IIRC, Ronique was featured in all seasons of The Way It Is. Take that with a grain of salt, though, because I don't remember the first season as well as the other two andI don't even remember Keyshia having that problem with Ronique (if I saw the scene it would probably refresh my memory). But I definitely remember seeing Ronique in episodes after the first season. Guess they must've made up or Keyshia was just venting?
