It's an Aussie show; just wondering if anybody's a fan of it?

Somewhat of a fan, funyun. Rush is better than the average Aussie fare but lets itself down with some truly cheesy storylines and by playing to the lowest common denominator demographic on occasion. It looks and feels a little like later episodes of Wildside which, to me, was the Australian cop show benchmark and therefore, a good thing. The cast is mostly appealing, particularly Catherine McClements and Rodger Corser, and the (at times) witty dialogue and unconventional direction make for quite decent entertainment.

Thursday's episode (S2E16) though had me a little frustrated. Why oh why do the writers insist on hooking up their main characters - Josh/Shannon and Stella/Michael (which, I assume, is where we're headed for these two)? The latter is particularly offensive because I was getting a kick out of having an unapologetic bisexual woman in a healthy lesbian relationship on my screen. Damn you, TPTB!
