Oliver tries to convince Clark that Doomsday must be destroyed; a fight between Lois and Tess takes a shocking turn.
Never have I loved a summer hiatus more.

Biggest copout in the motherfucking history of copouts.
Oh GOOD! More guilt for Clark.
Well, it was good to see Nois reaquainted with her old hangout under Gabriel's desk. They have to be doing that on purpose, right?

So Jimmy's younger brother adopts Jimmy's name to go into journalism after the tragic death of his older brother? I feel like my nuts were literally kicked. But that might be a pro-Chlois sign. Or them fucking with us hardcore. At least it wasn't Chloe's son.
In one fell swoop they made Chloe all about Chimmy and hurt Davis's arc, IMO, by having him kill Jimmy.
Not much seemed to happen, will comprehend more later. Lois continues to show her importance by utterly disappaering.

Sucked. After all that build-up, got an entirely too short fight between Clark and Doomsday. Rule #1: If you promise your audience en epic battle, you need to friggin' deliver.
Within the fight, was disappointed in Clark himself. He's got the heat vision. The super-breath. And ... he doesn't even try to use them.
Blerg.
P.S. Did they ever say what happened to Chloe's magic resuscitating tears?

Lol they killed Jimmy! But that Jimmy wasn’t iconic!Jimmy all along, but his little brother! Ha way to write dead weight out of the show, Smallville.
What? That’s the watch tower? I guess we’ll have to wait a few years before they upgrade it to a huge motherfucking giant space death beam.
“Clark Kent is dead.” I think I’d buy it if there had been more of an emotional reaction from Clark to Jimmy’s death. Hell even Chloe's reaction sucked ass. And Davis' sudden crazed jealous lover outburst was cliche and stupid.
And seriously, I’m not happy with the two second fight with Doomsday. Why the hell did they even have him in the show if he and Clark weren’t ever going to throw down for real? Wasn’t that what we were promised from the beginning? Geez. C+

what the heck was that? I feel like I've just been on some bad acid trip (if I'm correct in what that would feel like).
In the course of an hour they rewrote history repeatedly, brought in history we'd never been clued in on, rewrote the future and covered their asses by bringing in someone just barely mentioned in the past. Entire scenes either didn't make sense or seemed too "let's explain away everything here real fast."
That was so crappy. And here I've loved the last two episodes.

They really wasted Jimmy's potential over the past three years but I'm glad Aaron got a decent send-off tonight.
I can't believe Oliver, Bart and Dinah left Clark helpless on the street with a dart in his neck! Oliver, you dick!
The fight between Tess and Lois actually seemed like a realistic fight, versus the Lana-fu in "Power." And Erica got her best lines of the year.
With all the boys fighting over Lana, she never had two guys kill each other over her. Congratulations Chloe, you have out-Lana-ed Lana!
After all that build-up, got an entirely too short fight between Clark and Doomsday. Rule #1: If you promise your audience en epic battle, you need to friggin' deliver.
I didn't realize the battle was over - I assumed it would take the entire back half of the episode!
So the Clark who came to Chloe at the end...was that regular!Clark? Or was that Clark from another time-line; the way he disappeared into the light confused me.

Someone needs to smack some sense into the promo monkeys. Yet again the last scene of the season was given away in the previews. Come on guys. The awesome news is that Zod is free, because that will rock.
Good to see that it was confirmed that Clark's plan to put Doomsday in the Phantom Zone was the way to go. Clark comes up with the right plan, and gets it stopped by someone he trusts.
I had a feeling that Jimmy was going to find out about Clark. Of course they had to kill him afterward. And speaking of Jimmy's death, I was glad they didn't redeem Davis. Davis was a murderer after being split. So I've got to give props for that.
I was disappointed in the Clark Doomsday fight, along with Clark deciding to forget about his human side.
One last thing, am I the only one thinking that Chloe is pregnant? Just the way she held her stomach at the end makes me think that.
After all that build-up, got an entirely too short fight between Clark and Doomsday. Rule #1: If you promise your audience en epic battle, you need to friggin' deliver.
You think they would have learned that when they had Clark vs Batista relegated to 30 seconds. Clark vs Kane has easily been the best fight this show has had.

Okay, I'm done.
So Chloe's compassion for Davis is utterly misplaced - he was always evil and she was an idiot to ever think anything else (despite Davis offering himself to be dropped into the mile-deep pit to save the world earlier in that SAME episode). Chloe is stupid, compassion is for bleeding hearts, and Chimmy is briefly resurrected, just to add a little bitter fillip.
And I don't really care if they show next season that Clark's current path will lead him to become a tyrant and show that maybe Chloe was perhaps not entirely brain-damaged (but still wrong and guilty of Jimmy's death, the bitch). I don't care if Oliver (treacherous ass) 'forgives' her and lets her be Watchtower again. I don't give a shit if that hands to belly gesture means that Chloe's pregnant (which can only be Davis' baby, though I hope they're just screwing with us there; it would mean that Chloe was sleeping with Davis just to try to save Clark and while pining for - ick - Jimmy). I don't care if Zod squashes the Earth flat, and that Lois will appear to save Clark from his path of Kryptonian purity armed with info from the future and her miraculous boobs. I am DONE.

It is rather Chloisy when you think about it, he has the Iconic name and profession and yet it goes to his little brother who's unnamed and was never heard of. Sort of like Chloe to the mythos.

Wow that was lame, disappointing, and devoid of emotion. Chimmy is true love, and human Davis kills Jimmy because he's jealous? Dumb. So much angsty potential with Chloe and Davis and it was just nothing in the end. Not to mention Clark doesn't even come close to dying or have an awesome smackdown with the Beast. Lois randomly teleported to the future, uh okay.

That was horrible...just horrible. Anticlimatic, cliche, and everything we DIDN'T wanna see. Clark and Doomsday fight?! Lame. Geeze for being the ultimate destoryer and Clark's worst foe he was sure done away with in a matter of minutes. I guess Ollie and Jimmy were best buds in offscreensville for him to shed a tear like that. They ruined the Davis arc...strike that all the arcs this season. The random kid brother that Jimmy never mention before was all too convenient....whatever I don't even care about next season.

First show I bothered to watch all the way through in real time and it absolutely sucked. What kind of writing was that?
Hated that they reunited Chimmy even if it was just for all of two seconds.
I will never buy that Chloe truly loved Jimmy. Cared about him? Yes. Settled? Yes. For crying out loud she said over and over she did everything for CLARK yet we are supposed to believe she loves Jimmy? When they kissed and he got stabbed all I could think was "good. Kill him."
Loved that Jimmy bit it but WTF?! with them making human Davis into a psychopathic killer all on his own. I call bullshit!!
Yes. Davis the EMT. Davis the "I would rather kill MYSELF than hurt anyone else" is suddenly a crazy jealous murderer. Clark and Chloe are both wrong to believe in the good in people and this damn show sucks ASS. I could write better shit than this.
All that Clark/Lois stuff was absolutely awful as well. Well. I really didn't watch much this year so..coming off my DVR permanantly now. I just can't keep wasting my time on bad writing.

May 14, 2009 @ 8:19 pm
Is it just me, or did anyone else feel like we were missing an episode? Why the hell did they write Injustice if it breaks entirely from the ending. AND they were on a role.
And I know its weird to mention, but I kinda liked it when Chloe stated, "My wedding present?" and it being this uber-huge building. It was kinda nice to see her have something all for herself.
That said, she kinda sounded nuts in the last scene when she was talking about this building.
Anyway, this episode otherwise sucked. This needed to be a two hour episode, with more fighting. I can NOT believed that the ENTIRE fight was shone in the clip. That looked like just an opening Salvo. Also, how does this kill Doomsday who is otherwise invincible.
At least the Cloisers can't gloat though. Chlark is stronger than ever apart from the little tiny detail of Clark being "dead". How the hell did he just randomly disappear?
I'm starting to think they were intentionally trying to make an episode worse than Requiem. They succeeded. This show ain't getting a 10th season.
Can someone explain to me how this show can match up mythos if Superman does not die from Doomsday? Even if he technically isn't Superman yet? Gah.

Wait, but what the fuck then was the point of Rokk coming back? I mean, shit, I'm all down with him providing the vehicle for Nois to go poof, but he was just so utterly WRONG that nothing could stop Doomsday from killing Clark. Just like the Legion was wrong about not being able to save Chloe from Brainiac. I hope those assholes never come back. Right now they're 0-2.
This whole season, the WHOLE thing, was a build up to this finale. And Clark takes care of it in 15 seconds?
Clark not being there for his best friend at her ex-husband's funeral was just unforgivable. Yes, I get it, Clark Kent is the metaphorical death so his feelings are gone. Copout. What a selfish jerkoff. Chloe's made out worse than anyone simply by being Clark's friend. Well...maybe not worse than Jimmy.
Wow, I mean I knew I wouldn't be happy, but I'm not even mad. That was just shockingly AWFUL. Terrible. A big letdown in pretty much every way.
