We're in the semifinals and we still have a two hour show? There was WAY too much filler and I definitely could have done without the entire first segment before the actual dancing started. Gah.
They really pulled out the big guns for Melissa tonight, showing clips of the Bachelor and all. I don't care, though. I'm all for Tony winning at this point.
Or Shawn. Loved her AT. Couldn't focus on her jive because of the horrendous assault on my eyes. Really, Mark? Really? Sucks she got an 8, though. She looked like the wind had been taken out of her sails.
Gilles continues to be overrated and overscored. That was a boring ass salsa.
If Ty makes it past Shawn tomorrow night, I will be beside myself with anger.

So we got our first dance thirty minutes into the show. Eesh. Talk about padding and filler...
My Grassy Knoll side says that TPTB put Ty in the pimp spot so that they could see how the other couples performed first, so they would therefore be able to score him relative to the others (because they want him to leave). They want to be sure that he gets a score deficit to the point that his fan votes won't make up the difference.
Shawn's jive was not up to par. I wonder if maybe she and Mark spent all their time focusing on the AT; with their limited practice time, it probably seemed prudent to lavish more effort on what probably looked like the harder dance (since Shawn's biggest issue is one of performance). Unfortunately, her jive noticeably suffered for it. I was expecting more. She looked weirdly out of sync throughout the whole thing.
ETA: I was bugged by Len's comment that nobody has worked harder than Ty. And Mark wearing some sort of guyliner was disturbing. He looked like he stepped out of the A Clockwork Orange movie.
Last but not least -- the judges' table REALLY needs to be off limits.

What is with Mark's predilection for hats this season? What's he got goin' on on that head of his?
I was stymied by the judges' praise for the Shawn/Mark Argentine Tango. I was bored with it, finding Shawn's performance lackluster and just going through the motions. Yet, CAI specifically praised Shawn's performance quality. Guess I know nothin' 'bout dancin'.
Also? Hated the styling and costumes for their Jive. Yikes! Agree with Len on the not enough jive-iness. And, yeesh! If I hear it again... Dancers, you can entertain the viewers and still follow the rules. Implying you can't is kind of a criticism of your own skills, y'know.
Oh, Ty, I do love you. Drew still reigns as my fave, but, by golly, you're running a close second, and considering I'd never heard of you before this season and am someone who has not even a little bit of admiration for your profession, that's saying something. He's nowhere near as good a dancer as Drew, of course, nor do I think he should (or will) win, but when it comes to entertainment value, work ethic, improvement arc, respect for the dance and his partner, yadda yadda, yeah. He's second only to Drew for me now. I'm glad he got this far in the competition. (Chelsie's a keeper, too.)
Edited because double commas are not in vogue.

It's gotta be Cheryl/Gilles and Melissa/Tony in the final two...
Shawn/Mark were overscored, I thought, on the Argentine tango, and what was with Mark's snit fit with the judges on the jive. I thought they were spot on. Again (for at least the fourth time this season) he was twice as fast as his partner. He can't seem to gauge Shawn's work enough to pace himself accordingly, and I blame him for that.
Ty, bless his heart, tried, but my favorite part of his role tonight was when he acknowledged the truth: That his fans kept him in despite a better dancer (Lil' Kim) having gone home. He may not be much of a dancer, but he's a very good guy.
One last thing: I thought Melissa and Tony were underscored tonight, particularly in the second dance, which I thought was as good as both of Gilles and Cheryl's (deserved) perfect 30s.
ETA: Loved Tom's comment about Samantha jumping in the dress she was wearing.

I love Ty, but dude needs to go. If he makes the finals, he makes the finals, but I want a Melissa/Shawn/Gilles final. It could actually be the most competitive final this show has ever seen.
I thought Gilles was the most consistent tonight. One can argue whether he deserved two perfect scores, though I adored the waltz.
But beyond that I only liked one dance each from Melissa and Shawn. Enjoyed Melissa's quickstep, but her cha cha was surprisingly off. It was too dainty or something.
Pretty much the same with Shawn. I enjoyed her Argentine Tango, but her jive was all over the damn place.
Yes, too much filler at the beginning. Way too much.

The dances were in the order of their scores from last week. I don't think there was too much consipiracy going on, just lazyness.

I think the judges were harder on everyone else and pimped Gilles because he is not getting the votes that the others are and they want him in the finals. Smelled of an agenda to me. I saw someone mention that they talked about Melissa on the Bachelor, but they were pulling out the stops for Gilles too. Him crying, his dad's death, and then showing his kids.
I know Ty should be leaving and I hope he does but he is such a great guy. I can't help but root for him to some extent or at least not be upset if he makes it to the next round.

Shawn looked like one of Marie Osmond's dolls. The whole look was downright creepy, if you ask me. And her jive was just...bad. And is my mind playing tricks on me, or did he recycle some elements from Kristi Y's Jive costume.
I actually really liked Ty's VW until he nearly dropped Chelsie on the floor. Oh well, he's totally going tomorrow and even though he's not the best, I still found his samba to be a little bittersweet. Their song was pretty spot-on as well.
Melissa/Tony and Giles/Cheryl for F2.

Okay I am going to say it, I missed Lil Kim tonight, she just brings that sparkle you know.. For one I wasn't rushing home to catch the show but I caught it in time (no DVR in this house)
Ty/Chelsea: What can you say, he is adorable and he still brings the funny. Yes his samba had no hips but Chelsea was smokin'. That girl can dance. The VW was well done for him
Melissa/Tony: She got some negative comments tonight, now CA decides Melissa needs to be more involved in the dance. I thought their cha-cha song sucked, it was sooo slow and downbeat. How can you do a fun cheeky cha-cha to that? Maybe thats why it seemed as if she was unsure of their steps. Their costumes were more exciting than that song I really liked their Quickstep, hated the dress.
Shawn/Mark: WOW can Mark's feet can sure move fast in a jive, not so much Shawn's. That was fun. However I still have the same problem with Shawn, excellent technique in the AT but lifeless. I did not feel any passion in the AT, it's like she does the steps and that's about it. Her breakout for me was still her cha-cha. And yes her jive costume reminded me of Kristy's.
Gilles/Cheryl: What can I say, LOVED their salsa, dance of the night for me. He did a great job. The VW I kinda was a bit bored, actually ended up walking out the room. Based on what I saw tonight though he should definately be in the final two.
Also to add, talk about filler, the could have just done a 1 hour show and called it a day.
Could not predict who is going home tomorrow.

Vote for Gilles! He does NOT have "squirrel arms" ...and is the best dancer! WOOT!!
Melissa and Tony ... Meh
Having flashbacks to Stacy season here ... underwhelming choreo.
Shawn and Mark ... Meh -
Poor Shawn .... outdanced throughout by Mark. No crispness in the AT and WAY behind in the jive, plus hated, HATED both costumes.
Ty and Chelsie ... Awwwwwwwwww ....ful!
But still the sweetest things ever! He really, REALLY wants to watch with Jewel next week!

I thought several of the holds in the Shawn/Mark AT were clunky looking. They focused on his strength rather than her abilities. The camera shots were not flattering to her, too much HMV.
Ty did better with the samba than I thought he would. He did samba rolls which some much better dancers haven't risked. I have to give him props for his effort and elegance.
For some reason, it bothered me that Melissa's bone shoes in the first dance blended with the dance floor. The dress was so striking and black shoes would have let us see how much her footwork had improved. At least Len was close enough to see it. The second dance seemed a little tentative for some reason.
Gilles has tremendous stage presence. It helps that he's good.

Who picks the music? Is it the pro dancer or the staff because I think the music really makes or breaks the dances sometimes. As someone said upthread, the music for Melissa's cha-cha was way too slow. I wasn't crazy about the choreography this week either.

I thought Gilles was great! His Viennese Waltz was very sweet and I loved his salsa. It reminded me of his samba, where it was great technically and just fun to watch. He brought that energy I saw in his samba to the salsa and that dance just made me smile.
I am so happy Tiny Dancer got her first 30 for her Argentine Tango, she definitely deserved it. Her jive was good, but I was expecting it to be better, especially since she was great footwork. During the end, Carrie Anne was right, it looked heavy, and not light. I also wasn't a fan of the costumes and Shawn's hairstyle during the dance. I am not a fan of polka dots. However, I thought she did the second best job of the night.
Melissa was great during her foxtrot, it looked gorgeous and her lines were beautiful. I really didn't like their cha cha and I thought it didn't look at all like one. It really seemed to be light on the actual content. I still think Melissa should be in the finals though.
I thought Chelsie looked absolutely stunning during the beginning of her and Ty's Viennese Waltz. I'm glad that the two tied their highest score since it is one of Chelsie's favorite dances. I thought that dance deserved all 8s though. It looked as though Ty was moving a little faster than the music at some points. I love Ty, but his samba was just horrible. God knows the poor guy tried his best, but it was stiff and almost all of the hip action came from Chelsie. I don't think Ty has earned a place in the finals, even though he's improved so much. The other three are just better dancers.

I'm not entirely sure I'd say Gilles is being pimped. I think they do want him in the finals of course, but it's the first time he's seen top of the leaderboard in quite awhile, even if he's always hovering right below. Beyond that, the dude scores 27's on an off dancing day, so when he's on it kind of makes sense he'll get perfect scores.
Technically it could backfire though. Now Melissa and Shawn fans feel they have to save them, whereas it's possible Gilles fans will assume he's safe. Not saying this will happen, but it's possible.

I love me some Mark Ballas, but his eyeliner must've been applied with a spatula tonight. It looked very Tony Curtis in the drag queen years.
Lots of good performances, but none of them struck me as great or memorable. Some of the musical choices sucked, which didn't help matters.
I thought Melissa and Tony's Quickstep was a bit underscored, although I agree their Cha Cha was a letdown (I can't hear "Save the Last Dance" on this show without comparing it to Edyta and Alec's amazing pro performance from several seasons ago.)
I loved Shawn and Mark's Argentine Tango, but something wasn't quite right with the jive. It looked like she wasn't keeping up, and the choreography was a little underwhelming on that. It seemed like he was trying not to outdance her too much, which I was grateful for.
Gilles' Waltz and Salsa were both overscored and overhyped, IMO. Especially the Waltz--I'm still wondering what, exactly, was so amazing about it.
As for Ty and Chelsie, what can you say, really? Both dances were a good effort--smooth in parts, awkward in others--but he's out of his depth at this point.
Gilles, Shawn, and Melissa for the final three--or heads will roll!

Maybe it's that I don't care for Gilles/Cheryl but I damn near pulled a muscle rolling my eyes during Gilles' schpiel backstage with Samantha after their first dance. Gag me.
I wish the judges would refrain from making comments about who's working the hardest and what have you. Who's to say that Shawn doesn't have to work harder because of her legally mandated limited rehearsal time? It's just silly. And kind of a slam on the other contestants.

Mark should be smacked upside the head for the way he's dressing Shawn. The tango dress made her legs look so bad...she looks prety normal in her workout stuff.
I know Ty should go but I'll miss him. What a great guy. Glad the judges acknowledged Chelsie - she's done wonders.
Liked Gilles and Cheryl and Melissa's first dance the best.

So much filler. Unless my ears deceive me, I heard repetition between the two fillers of the stars. Can't they edit?
I wish Ty were a better dancer. He is the sweetest, funniest contestant ever. A really hard worker too. ITA that Chelsie shoud get so much props for her teaching and choreography.
Melissa's clips show just how much of a ringer she is. Ballet from a young age probably thru her teens. Then cheerleading for her flexibility, ease in learning choreography and performing lifts. I will be really disappointed if she wins. Also she was on her toes thru both dances.
Gilles is athletic, but he's truly learned to ballroom dance thru work ethic and no previous experience.
Shawn is so cute, but I agree that the jive was over the top.
I can't get thru for Gilles on the phone line. That must be a good sign.

I loved both of Gilles' dances, thought they were two of the season's best and deserved perfect scores.
I thought Melissa's foxtrot was good, but forgettable. (I agree with Bruno and Carrie-Ann about her dancing lacking soul). The cha-cha was awful.
I really liked Ty's waltz. The samba was about as bad as I'd thought it would be, but I enjoyed watching it anyway.
I didn't bother watching either of Shawn's.
I'd like Gilles and Ty to advance, and probably prefer Shawn over Melissa to join them, mostly just because I really dislike Melissa's personality. (Sorry, Tony, I still love you!) But as long as Gilles takes the trophy, I won't even mind if Melissa is runner-up.

Gilles and Cheryl - I loved both his routines tonight. He is incredible on that dance floor and I am glad they brought in his family and that we got to see a bit more about them.
Melissa and Tony - I adored their Quickstep but their Latin was so so. I really like her, I know she is controversial, but I think she is a sweetheart.
Shawn and Mark - Their Argentine Tango was my favorite routine of the night. I loved the choreography! The make up on Mark..not so much. Her Jive wasn't that impressive for me but I think she did great with the choreography she was given.
Ty and Chelsie - I absolutely adore them. They are both just so endearing and authentic. His dancing was cute and fun to watch. I enjoyed his Viennese Waltz, but I know it wasn't her best. His Samba was fun and cute.
I am not sure who will make it to the finals. I am a Ty fan all the way but I chose not to utilize the multi-emails like i usually do and I split a couple accounts of votes. I would like to see anyone win this but I see Ty having trouble next week if he where to get in.

What was tonight, dump on Melissa night? Sheesh, I don't know what was up with the judges....her dances, both of them, were fantastic!
I thought Giles and Shawn were overscored, Shawn more than Giles. Her AT was just stilted and boring, she looked like she was barely going through the motions, and her jive was a hella mess. Giles's cha-cha was boring. And what was up with the "sexy" latin type moves in the waltz?? I thought that was very unnecessary, would have preferred a clean waltz with absolutely no hint of "sexy" in it.
Ty. *sigh* I liked his first dance. barely. I didn't like his second dance. I think he said it best when he said they performed a good dance for them. Yes. But not a good dance for the FINALS. At this stage he should be awesome, and he's got an awesome personality, but personality shouldn't trump dancing and watchability.
I just really hope that Ty goes home and that Melissa STAYS. Her dances tonight were so beautiful and well-performed, she is always on beat and step and her footwork so precise. I really love watching her dance, plus she and Tony have the best partner chemistry.

The filler at the beginning was terrible, I could watch the entire episode of Good Eats while all the filler was on and not miss a dance because there was no dancing yet at that point.
I'm jealous of the crew that got to go to Cannes.
Loved Shawn's AT dress, didn't hate the second. Mark bothered me tonight for some reason. The AT was 30 worthy imo, their Jive was sadly all over the place.
Melissa was good just not as good as I've seen her in the past and she actually got the scores she deserved.
Gilles and Cheryl were wonderful. Loved Len saying he wanted an 11 paddle.
Ty, yeah it's time to go. Love him, loved that he got Chelsie to ride an electronic bull. Chelsie has showed to be a great teacher and I can't wait to see her again next year.
Anyone not named Ty going tomorrow would be criminal imo.

Apparently I'm nuts because I thought that Melissa and Tony's Quickstep was the best dance of the night. The phrasing was spectacular and it was fun, swift and lovely to watch. Plus, it turns out you can entertain while in hold Mark and Shawn. I hated Bruno criticizing it because I felt that the movements matched the music, which was what made it so lovely. CAI's complaints about Melissa not enjoying dance were utter bullshit.
Then the Cha Cha music was a disaster. Not that it isn't a good song, but it was never going to hold up to the excitement of Gilles or Shawn's music and I'm sure the show knew it. That dance itself was really good. Of course it's not going to have the same energy level as other dances because the song doesn't have the same atmosphere. It's like what happened last week with Shawn's Paso.
Gilles is a very good dancer and his Salsa was totally 30 worthy, but I did not think the same was true of the VW. Not enough in hold for my taste and I'm so over Cheryl's move of throwing herself on to her partner's back and having them drag her.
Shawn was crazy overscored in both dances. The AT was impressive and the potential was there for something great but too many lifts killed the momentum of the dance for me. An Argentine Tango is all about the footwork and more of that and less tossing Shawn about in the air would have made it a better dance. The jive was a mess. In the rehearsal clip there was a moment of Shawn just talking about jumping around and faking it and Mark said that wouldn't work. Yet, that's exactly what their jive was. Mark was doing kicks and flicks but he choreographed her to spin around rather than match him. It was sloppy and heavy.
Ty needs to go home now. I love him and was so touched when he was talking about his father running along side of him, but the dancing just isn't at the level it needs to be to continue on in the competition. He tries hard and he commits fully which I truly admire but the VW was sloppy and there were wobbles. The samba was mostly Ty standing in one place while Chelsie danced around him. He didn't have the bounce you need and it didn't feel like a party moment. I love him and he's come such a long way from the beginning of the season, but his journey should come to an end tomorrow.

Also, I loved Jonathan's pep talk after teaching Giles the waltz! After his man-go with Steve Guttenberg in whatever season that was, and always getting the dud contestants, I've decided that he must have the best sense of humor ever. If he decides to come back on the show, I'd love if he got a decent partner next season.
On the pro competition, I'm guessing it's a given that Mayo is coming back, since Kym and Maks were the two pros they're dancing with. Did they announce the female dancer who advanced, or did I doze off during filler-o-rama?
Plus, it turns out you can entertain while in hold Mark and Shawn.
GilvearSt, I had the same thought! I thought their Quickstep was lovely and elegant, and though I like Giles, I would really love for Melissa to win this thing. I'm happy for Tony as well—he always looks like he's about to burst from happiness.

LOL, same here. When Jonathan was rattling off everything that Gilles needed to remember, I couldn't help but laugh. Gee, Jonathan, is that
all Gilles has to do? Really?
I missed Mark's supposed snit fit that others have referred to (then again I was kinda cringing after their jive so I didn't pay careful attention to what happened later). The whole "we just wanted to entertain the audience!" shtick is stupid (because you can entertain while adhering to the rules, dumbass), but I don't consider that to be a snit fit, just incredibly stupid. As far as accepting the judges' critiques go, I think he's one of the best pros (at least on the guys' side) at keeping his temper in check. He didn't get at all pissy over all the nitpicking the judges did with Kristi last year, IIRC. But maybe he's more on edge this season, I don't know. Mellow out, Mark.

I have never noticed such egregious costume recycling on this show as I have this season, and especially tonight. Melissa’s quickstep/Sabrina’s foxtrot, Shawn’s Argentine tango/Cheryl’s Argentine tango, and Shawn’s jive/Kristi’s jive – all fraternal twins to each other. I do think Shawn was adorable in her jive costume, though.
I can only assume that the fan vote for golden girl Shawn is not what was expected, and in order to keep her in the competition, the producers told the judges to score her as high as possible - regardless of dance quality. Or maybe the judges just want to pinch her cute little cheeks, and since they can’t they overscore her? Because that Argentine Tango was nowhere near 30-worthy. I did really enjoy the choreography, though. Too bad the execution was sucky. And Dear Christ, who the hell approved Mark’s eyeliner? He should be banned from wearing it ever, ever again.
I must say I was impressed by Tony’s choreography tonight more than I ever have been. Which, granted, was never all that much, but I think he was at the top of his game tonight. Very clever. And Melissa’s cha cha was underscored. That song was a weird cha cha choice, but I thought she did very well with it.
Gilles’s salsa scoring and praise were way beyond what was deserved, but it was still an enjoyable dance. I have no desire to watch it again, but it was fun at the time. And Cheryl’s waltz choreography - finally she doesn’t bash us over the head with his sexiness.
Ty…well, he was cute as a flipping button in his little homemade chaps with the cowboy hat on his little head! Dancing still not up to par with everyone else, but at least I don’t hate him for it
Jonathan! Yay!

Melissa and Tony were great tonight, as usual. I agree with the critiques they received, because Melissa's a beautiful dance but she doesn't really have the charisma to set the room on fire. But I still think she deserved one more ten for her foxtrot, which was gorgeous. I was okay with her cha cha scores.
Gilles and Cheryl were excellent. Two thirties? Maybe not, but there's the charisma that Melissa lacks.
Shawn and Mark - definitely underscored in the jive. They didn't deserve an eight from Len. And Mark apparently thinks so too - he looked PISSED. I did notice that during Ty's interview at the end Cheryl leaned over and kissed Mark on the cheek, which I thought was really sweet. He was obviously upset about the scores.
Ty and Chelsia were sweet and endearing, but I do think it's time for the cowboy to go. He's had a great run and I've enjoyed watching him, but I don't want to see him take a spot in the finals over any of the other three.

[Melissa and Tony's] Cha Cha music was a disaster.
Totally agree. I missed their intro and it took me a long while to figure out what dance they were doing. I'm no dancer, but that did not feel like a cha cha song to me.
The AT was impressive and the potential was there for something great but too many lifts killed the momentum of the dance for me.

Yes, too much filler at the beginning. Way too much.
That was horrendous. Get on with the show. There's no reason for it to go on as long as it did.
I'd be happy if either Shawn or Melissa goes home tomorrow. Neither of them wow me. The foxtrot was very nice (loved the dress, too) but she just doesn't seem to have much else. Missing something.
Felt bad for Shawn in the jive. That wasn't good but I'd love her shoes. She's on the opposite end of the spectrum too smiley.
Loved both of Gilles dances. I know there's a lot of Cheryl dislike, but I like that she demands something from her partners - that's why they're there and she actually choreographs for them and makes them a part of the dance, not just something for her to dance around or writhe on. And who cares if she's a bit curvier.
Ty - awww. He's grown on me and I kind of hope that he can stay just a little bit longer. Wasn't crazy about the shimmy, but it was OK in the midst of the dance and he's done an amazing amount of work out there!

This is where I think black shoes would have helped. I had a very hard time seeing her footwork because her shoes blended into the floor. That said, the music for Melissa's Cha Cha was freakin' horrendous. I honestly think that's what killed it. I'm a musician and I couldn't feel a proper beat. There were some things in the dance I thought were great but overall it didn't work. That song sucked for the dance.

I thought both Mark and Shawn looked upset at the beginning of the show. No big cheesy smiles, just these strange subdued looks. Also, the whole "We want to entertain!" totally smacks of Lance/Lancy's constant (and I loved those two), "We're rebels!" schtick. It's so repetitive and IMO, smacks of "We'll do what we want because the audience likes up" entitlement.
I'm getting tired of Mark. His faces. His lousy costumes. Just...yeah.
[Melissa and Tony's] Cha Cha music was a disaster.
Everytime I hear that song, I start to tear up and think "Justin is going to get hit in the head with a baseball bat!" /random QAF moment.

Totally agree. I missed their intro and it took me a long while to figure out what dance they were doing. I'm no dancer, but that did not feel like a cha cha song to me.
Save the Last Dance for Me is a great song for a cha cha, when it's sung properly. What Melissa and Tony had to dance to tonight was horrible. Michael Buble sang it while Alec and Edyta danced a fantastic cha cha to it back in Season 2.

Really not a fan of Melissa' cha cha. I never would have guessed that's what it was had I not been told. The music was a poor choice, but the choreography was lacking as well. It was slow and passionless. I had been starting to like Melissa more, but between that lackluster dance and the pathetic footage of her whooping and hollering when she won
The Bachelor, I am getting sick of her again.
I was stymied by the judges' praise for the Shawn/Mark Argentine Tango. I was bored with it, finding Shawn's performance lackluster and just going through the motions.
I agree - I thought it was good, but not outstanding or worthy of a perfect score. There were too many lifts, which were seemingly in place of more intricate footwork. Hers didn't look as technically demanding as other ATs this season.
Her Jive was really bad too, as I had anticipated. Shawn seemed slow and flat-footed, and she was barely getting off the ground during the bouncy footwork. The score they got was generous, despite Mark's Jules-style bitchface.

Tom can read minds because when he said Tony borrowed Mark's hats, that's exactly what I thought. Especially because they are bedazzled hats.

At least they are not reminding us she is 17.

I am not a fan but I was not annoyed by him for at least half of this season, but since that samba and team mambo, just stop Mark. Faces, overdancing, eyeliner and then the crappy costume choices. The mellower Mark was tolerable in the early weeks.
He didn't get at all pissy over all the nitpicking the judges did with Kristi last year, IIRC. But maybe he's more on edge this season, I don't know. Mellow out, Mark.
I agree he handled it well in season 6 with Kristi. But I noticed he is on edge these past few weeks and I caught the pissed face tonight. He does not come off as a talkative type so I think his face said it all. Mileage varies. It stood out because as much as he annoys me, that's one area where he hasn't bugged (judges' comments). I agreed with Len. Their jive was a mess, IMO and it started with Shawn scaring me (and I love the girl) with her Marie doll impression (in terms of appearance). There was some recycled choreography with Kristi, costume as well and her steps looked heavy. Her AT was much better, but I agree the choreography was better than execution. It did not have the sharp footwork and I did not see the passion, but she is due a 30 so I am not complaining about it. It was just for the wrong dance, IMO. Shawn's breakout dance was her cha cha IMO.
Gilles was the most consistent and loved Cheryl's choreography for the v. waltz. I don't know if it deserved a 30 but that salsa did. Loved it!
Loved seeing Maks, Kym and Brooke in the audience. Saw Corky too, but don't care about that.

My love for this show is starting to wane. They really need to consider airing it only once a year because I'm just not feeling the excitement anymore.
Yeah it's pretty ridiculous. Actually Shawn's dress was worn by Lacey, Julianne, and Cheryl in that jive pro dance they did earlier this season. It looked cute on them and it looked cute on Shawn IMO.

Melissa danced the quickstep, not the foxtrot.
Oh, I forgot - Dmitry! Yay! And who was that blonde he was dancing with? And why didn't we get a ballroom pro number this week in addition to the Latin?
I agree there way too much filler, but I did kind of like seeing the pro/celebrity commentary during the performances. The post-clip interviews were unnecessary.
