And the Rivers masks are pulled away at the very end to reveal the real Joan and MElissa. "Whore" "Pit viper" "dumb blond".
Go with grace, ladies. Except you have NONE.
And we get one of the only people to go out without a final confessional. Because apparently the producers promised the Rivers twins something (that MElissa would win?) and didn't deliver. One of those final rants was about MElissa being lied to, right? Or at least her CLAIMING that.
LOVED the sight of Cramer, Trump and Ivanka CRINGING in terror in the boardroom, obviously half in fear of their very lives. If MElissa had rooted around the receptionist desk and gotten a letter opener? Game over for Trumpie.

Now that is how you make an exit! She's wackjob crazy, but that was frigging awesome television. I hope there is more footage of Melissa's exit next week when The Donald tries to lure back his buddy Joan. Yeowch! I think Trump knew that Joan would leave if Melissa got the heave ho and he wanted a two-fer tonight to go into the final four for May. I think Brande should have gone.
Melissa and Joan are a piece of work though, Joan will feel the repercussions of calling poker players scum if she does a lot of shows in Vegas. They should have just walked out. They just made themselves look horrid!

Real mature. Melissa screaming for her bags because she refuses to go back up to get them, and Joan hurling insults at Brande and Annie because her baby lost. Sheesh!

Legend in her own mind Annie dismissively says "This ain't Redbook, it is Sports Illustrated!" yet decides a naked guy with a basketball appeals to the average SI reader? Basic math says 2% is less than (50-2)%.
I'm about ready to root for Joan to get the boot, just so I finally won't have any reason to watch this lame show and the PITA FOS fingernails-on-chalkboard Annie. Annie will probably win by default, since she's most like Trump (NOT a compliment) and nobody remaining (including her) comes anywhere close to Piers. This show is just running out the clock now. Fire 'em all and hire the talking Volkswagen.

If the whole show is about how much money you can raise, the tasks just don't make sense. As much as I loathe Annie I can see that she is a pretty good player. I just absolutely despise people who go through their lives thinking they're above it all because they can and do manipulate people. I think Brandee is an idiot and has allowed herself to be manipulated. I think she should have definitely been fired. She handed over the task to Annie instead of stepping up herself. They both suck and I hope they get their asses in the finale by Clint or Jesse.
I just don't know what to make out of Joan and Melissa. I don't agree with how they acted but I suspect there was much much more to it.

I think Brande (as project manager) or Annie (as the one pulling the reins on the project) should've been fired. The person who deserved to go home this week was on the winning team--Jesse. Jesse was such a smug asshole throughout the task, and then couldn't muster the decency to congratulate Clint without Joan's prodding. Can't stand him.
The adolescent name calling from Joan and Melissa said far more about themselves: no dignity, no class. But I will say that if the criteria for firing was which one raised the greatest amount of money to date, there was no point in criticizing Brandy for delegating tasks to Annie, or Annie for "taking over" the task. They were both "safe" as the #1 and #2 fund raisers!

What a whack-job Melissa is. Talk about a spoiled, self-centered, bitch - I can see why her marriage didn't last - Princess can't cut the umbilical cord from Mommy Dearest. All she did the whole time was act like a junior high school brat with a persecution complex. And Joan has some nerve calling people Nazis, trash and whatever else comes out of her filthy mouth. The most striking point is the way Melissa was in such a big hurry to get out of there. Not only was she too childish to congratulate the winner and bid farewell to the others, she just wanted to run so she wouldn't even have to look at them. Coward.
These two losers have no class whatsoever, but then what do you expect from people who spent a good deal of their time standing on a red carpet with a microphone asking other equally annoying people who they're wearing.

Annie is indeed a master maniupulator and Brande isn't smart enought to figure out that Annie is just trying to take Brande with her to the end because she knows that Brande is weaker than herself and it would be an easier win.
I can't stand Annie...everything she does is so calculated and self-consumed that it's nauseating. And she's beyond two-faced.
Also, I felt both ads were unattractive.

I'd be PISSED, too, if I were Melissa. But her exit was completely ridiculous.
Honestly, I don't find Brandi that intelligent, and it has nothing to do with her hair color. She's just dim and inarticulate. She seems nice enough though, and when she was yelling, it seemed completely out of character.
And we get one of the only people to go out without a final confessional. Because apparently the producers promised the Rivers twins something (that MElissa would win?) and didn't deliver. One of those final rants was about MElissa being lied to, right? Or at least her CLAIMING that.
Since Joan and Trump were good friends before this show, I have a feeling the Rivers duo WERE promised something. Maybe top two? Or maybe she was claiming that the Brandi lied about Melissa's performance in general?
Jesse was super annoying. You don't agree with the final idea? Who cares! Suck it up and do what you can. Don't be a stubborn baby.
Once again the task had absolutely nothing to do with the firing.
Isn't that what Annie was counting on? She honestly did a great job of setting herself up so that if they won, she'd be sprinkled with praise, and if they lost, she could sit idly by and watch her two partners go at each other.
Annie just happens to know David Lee?
I laughed soooo hard at Joan's Christmas card comment. Don't we all know someone who swears they know this person and that person? Ugh. So annoying.

I really feel she would have had the same reaction (snit fit) regardless of when or who she was against when she got eliminated. I just absolutely despise people who go through their lives thinking they're above it all because they can and do manipulate people.
A lot of business is about manipulation. Within certain bounds its both honorable AND smart.
Annie doesn't go beyond those bounds in anyone's eyes who's name isn't Rivers, I think. Sure she manipulates to some extent. She admits to it. But she's not petty, mean, catty, etc. like the Rivers. She's right--she never ONCE insulted anyone where it mattered--in front of Trump.
I think Brandee is an idiot and has allowed herself to be manipulated.
How so? Annie stuck by her where it mattered. She defended her in the boardroom. So what does it matter if Annie also positioned herself well with this Cramer guy? She did so honestly, and didn't drag Brande down in ANY way. Heck, she didn't drag Melissa down either. Melissa did that ALL by herself.

Jesse was disappointing. Joan I expected to go nuts when Melissa was fired and she did not disappoint.
Clint is a turd but isn't as stupid as the others want to believe he is.
Annis is definitely a viper. Brandy knows how to sell herself to get $$, clearly.
Melissa going insane was kind of awesome and I wish I had a DVR so I could play it over and over again. She reminded me of myself when my hormones were nuts after my hysterectomy & radiation and that is NOT a good thing. Oy.
So - any theories as to what Donald said in the note he passed to Jim? I like to think it was something to the effect of, "Let's go to my gilded apartment in the sky and have Melania loan you some hair pieces and then she can style your hair like she does mine. You'd look cute with my swoop. I have ice cream too."
And yes, I know that's lame, but it's been a long weekend.

Even though the two Riverses have been behaving badly in the last few weeks (I still think they're both hardworkers, even Melissa), I'm sorry to see them go. I'll have no reason to watch next week. What's left?
1) A bimbo whose big claim to fame is she can raise money (through showing her 'assets') and doesn't ever have a idea of her own. Boring as dirt.
2) A harpy shrew with a messiah complex. Even though the Riverses have shown little grace in the last few episodes, I didn't hear any untruths about Annie coming from them. You give in to the Annies of the world to make them go away, and they're so self-unaware that think it's because people like and respect them.
3) A little Napoleon who is the definition of arrogance. And he doesn't know what he's talking about (and take off that hat). He does not make good TV.
4) Unfortunately, the one I thought was the brightest and best one of the lot has checked out and is now surly and blah.
So unless they drag Joan back in (and the one thing I like about her is that she's going to do what she wants), who wants to watch the other four duke it out?

I thought Clint did well in dealing with Jesse. That Jesse seemed like a HUGE douchebag. Just because your 100% perfect idea wasn't used...still you need to put in the effort. I actually agreed with Joan on that.
Boy, Annie is a viper, eh? I wouldn't even want to hang out with her. She things quite HIGHLY of herself.
I may be a cynic...but...I think Melissa was probably so pissed at the show's people because she was somehow promised some higher placement when she and mommy came on.

I haven't seen such poor sportsmanship, or TPT behavior from anyone since Dennis Rodman.
Sportsmanship implies that there is a game. Games have rules that participants know and provide parameters. This wasn't at all a game, just arbitrary twists and turns for shock value. Trump's decisions this season, more than any other, have been extremely capricious and often had nothing to do with the tasks. Look at Tionne's ridiculous firing, hell look at half of this season's firings. Trump and the show have repeatedly screwed people over just for good TV. Where's the sportsmanship in that? A lot of the contestants were lied to and set up, so why wouldn't they feel pissed and duped?
Good for Joan. I'm not sure if that was honest feelings or Broadway quality theatrics, but it kinda expressed how I feel about that AIG-ethics whore Annie and this collapsing show.

Now that is how you make an exit! She's wackjob crazy, but that was frigging awesome television. I hope there is more footage of Melissa's exit next week when The Donald tries to lure back his buddy Joan.
No kidding. That was really fun. I've always kinda liked Joan- she really was hilarious in her prime, and I forgave her a lot on this show because I felt like some of it was just for tv, and some was just her being a bit crazy. I kinda did feel sorry for Melissa. Joan's whole schtick for YEARS was what a "dog" she was when younger, then somewhere along the line it became ranking on other females who were unattractive. And here's Melissa who- while not butt ugly, or at least till all the plastic surgery- is not all that attractive. Growing up in Joan's world where everything is about looks. So I can see why she'd be overly sensitive to being excluded from the "pretty girls" club.
Still though. Her reaction would have made sense if she was 16. She's what, 40 something now? She just comes across as really pathetic, even if I understand her insecurity. After all these years, she should have either found a way to deal with it by now, or, if it's too hard, which is understandable...quit living in Joan's world! Make your own life!
Jesse was a real baby tonight. I fully agreed though that their spread looked like ass though. It was beautiful till they cluttered it up with all the orange and the words and everything. There was a way to integrate the product placement, and Jesse's great pic, but that wasn't it. The women's team had some nice shots too, I have to say. I think Jesse is really ready to go.
Brandy turned it ON when they told her too, didn't she? I kinda loved her for that. She was trying to be nice, they wouldn't have it, so she laid it out- "how's THAT?" I like Brande or Annie for the win.
And I bet Joan WILL be back next week.
Oh, this was a great episode for sheer train wreck-ery.
Oh, forgot to add my favorite line EVER from Apprentice: Donald saying he should wear a hat, but he likes his hair, and Ivanka saying "It's iconic." If I didn't love her before, I did after that. She totally gets it but hey, he's her dad.... I thought that was hilarious, and a sweet way of acknowledging that his hair is ridiculous but she loves him anyway.

Annie's shrewd and has a generous ego, but I also think that's part of her game. Nobody expects a woman to be so openly confident, and it's thrown a lot of her competitors.
And while she might be annoying at times, I'd take ten--no, twenty Annies over a Rivers, or a Rivers Spawn.

Wasn't Tionne fired because she offered to come back into the boardroom? So that did follow the rule Trump set up on previous seasons, that one should never volunteer to risk their job.
Annie is a poker player, and she is playing this like a poker player. Regardless of what anyone thinks of the way she plays, there is no need to call her Hitler or a nazi. Joan Rivers, of all people, should know better than that. Of course, Joan and Melissa made a TV movie about the suicide of their husband/father, starring themselves. I'm beginning to get a better understanding of why he wanted to check out.

The moment Melissa ACTUALLY lost was obvious.
Go rewind. You can see it on Cramer's face.
Melissa has been rude and confrontational in the boardroom--with Trump, Ivanka, and ALL of the guest judges, since Day 1. She interrupts all of the time. She bellowed "I resent that" on MULTIPLE occasions--not to things said by fellow contestants but to things said by her "judges". And the straw that clearly broke the camels back was her interrupting Trump, cutting him off mid-sentence. Again, Cramer's face tells it all. You do NOT do that to someone who is your "boss".
The editing was rejiggered, I think, to the "money raised" angle a bit, but the clues were there to what really happened, I think.
It fits in with the graceful exit of Melissa too, and the crap that flowed out of her foul mouth at the very end.

It all comes down to money - plain and simple.
A couple of observations.
- The Rivers women are playing a crazy odd couple. They do it well.
- Trump's impudence got trumped today by Brandy. What a "gentleman"!Only an old lunatic could ask a beautiful woman if she lacks in the head department.
-Brandy. Beautiful. Smart. Feisty. Great analogy with beautiful Ivanka. How about that, Mr. Trump?
- Annie. Poker player. Smart. Calculating. Hard working. Daring. Cut-throat. Great fundraiser. She's a lot closer to winning than the rest of them.
-Jessie. As*hole.
-Clint. If he doesn't screw up, Clint has a chance to get to the Final 3.
- It looks like Joan and Annie will be F2.

BTW, Melissa learned her behavior from Joan.
Joan appeared on the Tonight Show many many times as well as subbed for Johnny Carson when he took off. When it was said that Johnny was retiring she let many people know that she fully expected to inherit the desk from him when he retired. However, once Jay Leno was named as "heir apparent" she refused to ever go on the Tonight Show again and in fact held a grudge against both Johnny and Jay for many years.
Not sure if Joan kept it up in later years but to me it goes to show the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. (Sorry if this is off track)

How so? She's right. She never even ONCE brought someone down in the boardroom. Did she pump herself and her own contributions up? Yes. But she never talked down anyone else. And THAT's what a "pit viper" would do. You know... like the Rivers Vipers.
As for her manipulating Brande? Well, while she positioned herself as having done more work, given the choice she supported Brande. That hardly seems like a bad outcome for the blond. Who, I think, knew Annie wouldn't stab her in the back. And was proved right--which is why she allowed Annie to do what she claimed she needed to. It makes Annie the better player, true, but it doesn't make Brande into an idiot.

I got the impression the reason Melissa went bat shit crazy is not because she LOST, but because she felt "picked on / ignored by the popular, clicky girls".
She made some comment to this effect during the show.."this is just like high school - and I HATED high school".
Gives a lot of insight there..
That said, while I totally relate and actually kind of liked Melissa cuz I did think she was a reasonably hard worker (moreso than the Playboy bunny girl), the theatrics on the way out are probably going to be something she'll eventually look back on - possibly soon - and says "oh, how I wish I hadn't done that!"

I don't know if Brande doesn't realize she's being manipulated. I think she's intentionally letting herself be manipulated, that's been what her strategy all along. Melissa is right in that Brande let Annie take over the task--but I think Brande allowed it to happen. I think her strategy is to just be likeable and align with someone strong and then win the last task in the end. In could conceivably work in the Apprentice if it does come down to fundraising.

Actually, that isn't exactly what happened.
Joan at one time was the expected heir, until she got her own late night talk show. The show failed, but Johnny never forgot that Joan tried to go up against him and never had her on the show again.
