Look, I like the show, and I loooove Janeane Garofalo's comedy, but when you're only on once a week, and she's your big guest, it might be time to consider more pointless segments. She's just not well-known enough down here to justify having only her. At least with Russell Brand, they also had Zac Efron. (Sidenote: Zac has a dirty mind.)

Though thanks for a Hamish-and-Andy-free week. For once. They're barely funny at the best of times, but when you start tying everything in to their radio show, it's ridiculous.

I tuned out at some point last year and caught a bit of it recently.

Was the whole show always as awkwardly self appreciative of itself? It really struck me with the Russell Brand interview and the way the folks on the couch were just throwing things back and forth and Hamish and Andy opening their mouths. I thought the same thing when I caught the "what I learnt this week" or whatever they call it, which was funny when they first started the show up again but is so cutesy and irritating and aargh.

Pete and the Kevin Rudd PM stuff is still funny but by god, it's like the whole show and everyone on it has taken on all of Rove's qualities. The shots of everyone laughing so hysterically at each others jokes bug as well, so do the promos. Dave Hughes is also alright. I could live without Hamish and Andy and Rove though. Especially Andy. At least Hamish and Rove have the odd moments.

I still don't know why I liked this show so much - cause I doubt Corinne Grant was a major factor.
