Teams are given 5 rooms at the Lowes Regency Hotel and must cater to their guests' every need. The celebrities don hotel uniforms and run every aspect of the hotel, cleaning rooms, running the concierge, and delivering room service. Each celebrity wears several hats, trying to give the high-end service they are used to getting. One team must contend with disgruntled guests, while the other team faces off with a leader who's out of control. Guest surveys give one team the edge and, in a powerful, moving boardroom, Trump must fire another celebrity.

But then awkward. Wise move on Jesse's part to lay it all out there. I wonder how much consultation took place behind the scenes before that boardroom?

I’ve always been a big fan of Dennis; basketball & wild man…but now, he’s one fucked up mess. He drinks 24 x 7, is no longer a team player and is a lazy piece of shit. He thinks the show is all about him. He needs to get off his lazy fucking useless tattooed ass and do something for his team. Wish he was never on this show!
Jesse got it right; “two of the greatest athletes in the history of American sports……look at the contrast.”
Get well Dennis & grow up.

Forget the Rodman Vodka Cranberry Drama of Doom... lets talk about the REAL drama?
Did Melissa do ANYTHING on this episode other than sit next to the hard working Joan writing stuff down? Was that her using her "Producer" experience again? Meanwhile, everyone else, on BOTH teams, was shown running around working hard. Well, except Dennis. And maybe Clint. They didn't show him doing all that much either.

I didn't like it. I had tears in my eyes. I feel like Trump exploited the situation and I felt the AA thing on the end was wrong. I don't know why. I guess it was appropriate but I still didn't like it. They could have tried to help him off camera instead of trying to make it like a faux intervention. Maybe they did.
Oh, and Jesse James. Great guy.

I hope Jesse takes this whole thing. I liked it him before but he's by far my favourite now. He sees things the way they are and isn't afraid to speak up when it's something he feels strongly about. I'm not sad to see Dennis go, he was obnoxious and I can't imagine having to actually get anything done with him around. I hope he gets help for whatever issues he has, though. Great episode tonight, very very fun task to watch play out.

That's not true. She knows how to take credit for all the Red Carpet specials. And come off to Trump like she was in charge here. I laughed when Joan tried to prop her up tonight. Melissa slipped and talked about how hard the Gay Guy Party Room pushed the

Is alcohol Dennis's only (or actual) problem? He seemed so hyper and jumpy I wonder if he has some amphetamine/cocaine or other stimulant type of problem. Whatever the problem, I hope he gets some help. Well he DID slip and talk about pubes. That was not his finest moment. Then again, the guy is normally works in a garage, even if a fancy one. So what do we expect?
I suppose he also gets points for scoring Sandy Bullock. He could probably go much younger with his following, so you have to respect that he hasn't. He apparently actually 5 years younger than her.

What I really respected about Jesse tonight was the fact that you could tell he absolutely hated saying what he did WHERE he was being forced to say it. I don't doubt for one second that Trump pushed him to do so. I love the fact that he did everything he could to leave Dennis's dignity (what's left of it) intact, while trying to address a very serious problem. I missed the last half hour, so this may have been addressed and I didn't see it, but is it the concierge's responsibility to tell guests that the services their asking for cost a lot? If someone's coming up to my room to give me a pedicure, I expect that to cost. If I demand a private table at a restaurant, I expect to lay out some money. I was actually pretty impressed by Joan and her handling of all those requests and her sustomer service attitude. This was one of the best tasks in a long time. There were a lot of different things to juggle, everyone had to contribute, it wasn't just fundraising - and, I thought it was great that these celebrites who are very used to being on the receiving end of ass kissing, had to be the ass kissers. I loved Annie's remark about leaving $100 tips in hotels from now on. I kept thinking, it's been a long time for some of these people since they've had to do any of these things for themselves. It was refreshingly prima donna free, except of course Melissa who thought it unfair she had to clean a hotel room by herself.
I missed the whole thing about the golfer rolling her eyes - what was that about?
Joan did a GREAT job flipping it on douchebag Baldwin (who I was not happy to see) and telling him he didn't have a shitty view, he had extra privacy. Loved it.
How can you be surprised that show tickets and in room pedicures cost extras? Come on. Wasn't there something in the room outlining the prices for the spa services? Even if not, she did say there was an extra charge. If I'm a guest and the hotel tells me that, and I don't ask "how much", I consider that to be on me, not them.
I'd love to see more tasks like this. This was the most enjoyable episode in a long time, IMO. The end was sad and awkward. Dennis does have a certain charm when he wants to, and I hope he gets it together. And even though he bailed on the task by going to dinner with those guys- what an experience for them. They sounded like they had a great time and you know they'll never forget that experience. If he'd done something like that with each guest, who knows how it would have ended?
I was really thinking for awhile the men would win just because men tend to get more kudos for doing menial/service type tasks where women are just "supposed" to be all about pleasing people. It seemed for awhile like the women were getting slammed for minor details while the men were getting a lot of credit just for cleaning the rooms, etc.
Also thought it hilarious that Herschel couldn't read the bottle, and that they thought the men ordered "a case of" instead of Acacia (sp?) whatever it was.
Also that dog was adorable and I wish I was rich enough to stay in a hotel like that that will walk your dog. I have to stay in motels to find dog friendly accomodations when I travel.

I agree that most of these guests were playing a role for the cameras. Especially with Steven Baldwin and Vinny Pastore, you can tell that they were told to play the parts of ultra-demanding celebrity divas, but even the ordinary people seemed to have been prompted to come up with the most challenging requests for the concierge. Everyone at once wants tickets and reservations for the most solidly booked, sold-out, hard-to-score restaurants and shows? Except the Gay Guy Gala, they seemed to have some actual glee in sending the girls scurrying all around.

Seriously. They were so appalled that the regular price was doubled. I wonder how much it costs in Austrailia to get a home-delivered pedi.
It's sad to see that someone who was once as great as Rodman was, is spiraling downward. Although, he has expressed bat-shit crazy behavior for quite a few years, so I don't understand why they are acting like this is a new problem.

I liked the fact that Joan didn't call Dennis an alcoholic on camera. And despite everything, I was uncomfortable with the fact that Jesse did. It just seemed like something that should have been done in private. But maybe it's part of hitting rock bottom. I don't know.
I have mixed feelings about Jesse. He's obviously extremely intelligent. But if I were his teammates, he'd be the last one I'd trust.
I wish Clint would have stood up to Dennis. By constantly rolling over for him, it let Dennis feel he could bully him whenever he wanted to. That said, Clint talked a good game about how he likes Dennis, while still bringing up all his faults in the boardroom. Smart. I like Clint.
BTW- I'm not defending Dennis at all, I'm just pointing out things I noticed. Although I will say, there were parts of this challenge where I found him quite entertaining.
Why get chocolate chip cookies at Carnegie Deli? (and why send 3 people to do it?). If you're going to a classic NY deli, get classic NY deli treats for the rooms - Black and White cookies, rugelach, etc.
I'm liking Annie more and more each episode.
I'm guessing the big controversy next week is that the teams will be mixed up and the two Rivers will be split. Horrors, no! I don't now if speculation counts as a spoiler, so I thought I should cover it
Oh and Rao's...it's this legendary Italian restaurant that you have to "own" or know someone who "owns" a table at to dine at. If they had managed to get Vincent a table there, they should have won just for accomplishing that. (although my guess is that all those Sopranos guys never had a problem getting in there). Similarly, I'm impressed that Jesse got a table at the Waverly. I'm guessing being Mr. Bullock was a big help with that.

I was hoping the men would win because I wanted to see what Trump would do re Dennis if they had won.
Where was Khloe for the first night of the competition? If the women had lost I think she would have been gone.

I still like it. But unlike Dennis, I know when to stop. Dennis was a "dead man walking" right from the start, but he could've been gone with less embarrassment. Although Donald Trump did everything he could today to act in a fatherly and sensitive manner towards Dennis, exposing D. Rodman's addiction, crazy behavior, and incompetence was unnecessary. It was painful to watch.

Dennis wasn't always the way he is now. When he played for the Pistons, he was pretty much a very shy guy that played ball wee. The biggest controversy he got into was when he said that Larry Bird got so much attention because he's white.
It was only after Piston coach Chuck Daly left that Dennis started to go down a bad path - Chuck was like a dad to him and kept him pretty much in check. That's when Crazy Dennis took hold of him and has never let go.
On another note - I wonder if any of these celebs will behave differently the next time they stay in a hotel.

This is the first episode I have watched as opposed to reading the recaps and I am glad I did. Tasks that flip the tables on the celebrities are much more entertaining than tasks that revolve around celebrities going through their rolodex.
The part with Dennis Rodman was just sad. Everyone saw the truth and no one wanted to talk about it in front of Donald Trump. That was one awkward boardroom. Hopefully Rodman will get the help he needs, whether it is alcohol or something else.

That was the most entertaining episode of The Apprentice (celebrity or otherwise) I've ever seen! I laughed so many times. Well, until the boardroom, of course, which was sad and awkward. I loved that there was (again) very little reliance on outside friends and that the celebs were forced to roll up their sleeves, work hard, and suck up the demands placed on them by the customers.
Joan kicked serious ass as the concierge. What great customer service she provided and she was so quick on her feet. Annie was amazing, too. Maybe Kotu received a bad edit but I was shocked that they scored 86, based on the shoddy performance I saw. Brian wasn't very convincing as the concierge and the screw-ups and delays were terrible. What about the missing amenities? It took three of them to go pick up a lousy box of cookies? No complimentary breakfast, either.
Jesse handled the boardroom with grace, understanding and maturity. I don't think Clint the Snake exists. He's given Dennis more chances than I would have. I've been looking forward to seeing those two in the PM position. I guess by default one of them will be next.

"Edit" is the operative word. I actually don't think it was completely fair tonight. Sure, she was away on mysterious business. Sure, the off-screen monkeys fished for some footage that made her look overconfident ("how hard could it be") and then showed her not living up to that. But I don't think she tanked. They do if its all a setup for the cameras.
I'm sure Melissa Rivers has made herself into a total bitch about not having the right hotel soap or something though, and I'm sure Rodman has bitterly complained about a minibar being empty. And even though Annie Duke gets enormous props from me tonight, I know those Pro Poker players mooch like hell off the Casino Hotels.
And Baldwin? Yeah. He was "acting" demanding, but I get the sense he's probably at least half that demanding in real life. Not Vinnie though. I think he came off as very "I won't push the regular guy around" when he appeared last season.
