From zap2it:
Unexpected guests crash Chloe and Jimmy's wedding; Oliver thinks he has found Lex and sets out to confront him, but he is shocked to find Lana instead; Lois and Clark grow closer.
Also known as the episode after which
Omar gets a nice, long, well-deserved break.

Cheesy as hell was my initial reaction after the credits rolled. The only thing slightly eye raising was the confirmation of that Brianiac smirk at the end. Big shocker (note sarcasm)
So was Chloe brianiac 100% of the time or what? Because otherwise, it's still the same cryptic bull we have been fed all season.
Nois can stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Tempest rip off assholes. Go cry and pull another Chloe SWF somewhere else.

Definitely Brainiac. That last scene? The epitome of ew...
I'd hoped that at least Lana would lay the smackdown on Clark for brainwashing Chloe. But after a promising beginning (where she said she wouldn't want to give up HER memories of Clark) she of course made it all about her.
Lana did otherwise seem to be talking a lot of sense about the Clana - but it seems she's being manipulated, so of course she doesn't actually mean any of it. Jeez.
Wonder how Dooms knew how to find the fortress? Maybe once he touched Chloe Brainiac sort of downloaded the info.
And Lois? Post-massacre is not the time to be casting longing jealous looks at Clark and Lana. It's just tacky.

I know you want to have sex with Lois, Clark. She's hot, we all do. But get off your ass, and go save Chloe. There's a freaking creature running around that has Chloe. That might be more important than hanging out with Lana and Lois. That thing can do quite a bit of damage, you may want to try and stop it.
The best thing about this episode till Doomsday's appearance at the wedding was Oliver's line to Lana, "She's your best friend, it's her wedding. What's complicated about that?". The rest of that scene wasn't as good. Of course Lana had to tell Ollie that he's above revenge. Dammit now Lana is putting Ollie on the right path. I guess it was too much to think that the Lana worship was over.

I think Brainaic was in there suppressing the memories and keep her...in character but took over her permanently at the fortress.
Thank god for Lana, because Clois still makes no sense
Chloe was kidnapped by the monster and she's crying over Clana? Give me a damn break.
Also Ollie now is pimping Clois? Since when does Clark need Lois? Oh show go fuck yourself.

Really enjoyed it. The emergence of Doomsday made it worth it alone. Liked GA's jaunt down to Cuba where he found Lana. I could do without the Clark/Lana stuff though. Chloe looked great although she feels so incomplete as a character without knowledge of Clark's identity. Hopefully the Brianiac reveal with change that.
Also, Jimmy becomes the fourth character this season (and Oliver the fifth) to pimp out Lois and Clark. Enough already! We know that they'll be together but we are treated to every character telling this to us! Well, at least Jimmy got what was coming to him.
"I'm gonna need a new heart and liver, CK!"
Oliver pimped out Lois and Clark too but at least he did it without a wink and a nod to the audience.
Looks like Lex at the end...although it could easily be Comic Book Brainiac as well.

I have a love/hate relationship with that episode. I loved the Cloverfield-like filming. I hated the anvils (do they get paid extra for each one?). I loved Lana for once (compared to Lois anyway). I hated that Lana didn't rip Clark a new one for taking Chloe's memories (I thought that was unrealistic). I loved AM's hair/make-up/dress/crazy-assed smile/everything-about-her. I hated all of the Lois/Clark pining/mooning/meaning-filled, longing-laced, where-the-fuck-did-they-come-from glances.
And I absofreakinglutely adored that Clark kept the flower Chloe gave him at Homecoming.
I also liked the ending. I'm a sucker for musical montages.

So what the hell was that at the end ? Was Lex controlling Doomsday Via mind control? Was it EVEN doomsday or was it brainiac? OR is lex working with brainiac /Doomsday? WOW, smallville actually made me think for once!

That last 3 minutes may have been the eeriest music montage in Smallville history. I gave a big "Ngghhyaaa...." to Chloic's smile at the end there. Creepy. I have to watch the episode again because I only saw it 5 minute bursts, but the awesome:
-Jimmy getting the lungs smacked out of him.
-Lana (WTF?! How did it get to the point where I missed her so much I could cry?)
-Clark saving the corsage. That SH Yearbook is getting a lot of facetime this season.
-Lois leaving for a while
I liked what I saw. Except for the "Lois pines for Clark" bits. Annoying.
It seems to me that Brainiac was waiting in the fortress to re-possess Chloe, not the he was lying dormant. I dunno for sure, though.

What would be the point though? He's Brianiac he could just replicate itself and be done and come out. But this is Smallville and they like to make things difficult and moronic, so going by their logic... Clark's lobotomy didn't work last week and just ending up shooting himself in the foot when he allowed Brianiac to replicate and latch itself to FOS as he preplanned knowing if he screwed Chloe enough over BDA would eventually be stupid enough to take her to the FOS and give her a memory wipe. Therefore replicating himself to the FOS sending a beacon to get Doomsday to show up at the new black igloo.
The only question is why waste time and not just take over then and there (in Abyss)with Chloe there if he needed a vessell or whatnot?

Exactly. I think these things are done on purpose by PS3 to remind the audience of how wrong the action was, how wrong it is to erase so much of this show's history with these 2, and how much this needs to be fixed. I don't doubt that PS3 knew they would get this reaction. This may be *exactly* what they are going for.

That was a much better wedding episode than "Promise"! Great ending. Happy to see the return of my favourite bit player, Jimmy's gay pal, who seemed excited to deliver his catch-phrase: "Ring my bell!" I hope he's not dead!
I am impressed with the Lana-overhaul. She looks like a grown-up, talks like a reasonable person and seems to have been stripped of the Helen-of-Troy, Princess Unattainable nonsense. Must have made a very nice change for KK.
Fun to see Oliver playing Exposition!Fairy throughout this episode, transporting characters to where they needed to be and popping by to deliver narration: "that thing took Chloe!" Also loved his jealous bitchery to Clark over Lex: "You've given him a hundred second chances!" and "The truth is, Clark, I'm going after Lex for you!" I believe it, and believe that Oliver fully intended to kill Lex. Loved Clark sternly confiscating Ollie's router: no one gets between him and Lex, and there are tears ahead for Ollie over this. (Ollie's pilot characterizing all this as a "lover's spat" was brilliant, as was JH's reaction.)
Clark's line to 0llie: "You can't punish the son for the sins of the father" is a bit of wisdom I wish the Kents had attained in S1.
Some dud lines for Lois but I thought ED rocked her two serious scenes, particularly her tears for Chloe at the end.

Ok can someone remind me why they named this episode Bride??? Everyone had more screentime that the actual bride.
I hate Nois, but in this episode my hate for her grew to new proportions. So now she's the victim? Clark is the love of her life? Pleaseeeeee!!!! Oh and Clark buddy you too are on my black list. So Doomsday comes, kidnaps your best "BFF" and the best thing you can do is go to the hospital to check on the "pink princess", sorry I mean the new and improved Lana??? Fuck you Clark!!! I hope Doomsday kick your big alien butt soon. First you almost kiss Chloe's backstaber cousin at her wedding and then all you can do is worried about stupid Lana? I'm sorry but Chloe deserves better than that. How many times she has put her life in danger for you? I'm just *&*(())!!!
The best part of this episode, well I mean the only good part was the last 2 minutes. So Chloe was possessed by Brainiac all this time? Thank God! I knew the only way she could marry Jimmy was if she wasn't in her right mind. And that was Lex and the end? So he's controlling all of this? Why he had so many things on his head?

I think he wanted to work Davis up to a fever pitch of anger and jealousy, so he'd go completely Dooms...So he pushed Chloe at Davis in Abyss, gave him false hope, then got Clark to 'cure' her with Jorel's defective Norton spyware scan that ended up infecting the Fortress (as planned). Then he lets Chloe go on with the wedding, knowing that that would freak Davis out - and thus tonight's events. Now that he doesn't need Chloe to fool her friends into thinking things are all right, he pushes her aside and takes over.
What he does next with Chloe and Davis - I'm not sure it bears thinking about.

Yeah, Jonathan especially needed to learn that lesson.
Obviously, we know why certain characters didn't return. But let's look at who wasn't at the wedding...
-Martha, the only politician who doesn't return to her home state.
-Pete...probably didn't want to see Chloe get married and I bet Chloe didn't even send him an invitation.
-Gabe Sullivan...apparently wiped from existence.
-Shelby...now seriously, how can you have a wedding at the Kent Farm and NOT have Shelby at least do a walk-on cameo? ;)

No argument there. But if they
were going for the "Brainiac caused Chloe's attraction to Davis" angle, it would sort of mesh with the "without Chloe to help him, Davis looses it" thing that happened this episode. He possessed Chloe long enough to get Davis attached and dependent, snatched her away (or allowed Jor-El to), and then came back when Davis had fulfilled his purpose. Which has just as many plotholes in it as anything, and I don't know what I'm doing playing Devil's Advocate for this show.
Looks up - or almost exactly what

I can buy that Lois is upset about Clana on the porch, but at the hospital her voice cracks when she talks about Chloe being missing and Jimmy in serious condition. I liked that Lois went with Jimmy because that's what Chloe would have wanted her to do. (And I only 'ship Clex so this ain't 'shipper bias.)

Yeah but the problem with that, is that this season they were attempting to light switch his behind into this overnight iconic, reporter, moronic, density, epic, best of the best, the end all be all...Superman imposter (as far as I'm concerned). Why attempt to write and build him up one way only to fuck of the light switching progress abruptly overnight and bring him down to lower than dog crap by his questionable moral behavior at the end of Abyss. Particularly the Clana scene, everything Lana said was on point and too true. It was a shady thing to do, and the fact that Clark just looked at Lana as she was giving the very reasons Chloe more or less gave him last week why having learned the secret and helped shaped who she was today, as he just blankly stood there like she was talking a foreign language just....

They are. Everything was from Lois point of view wrt to her feelings of Clark. They might have shown a thing or two from Clark but everything is being focused on Lois. And honestly, I think we're suppose to see it as unhealthy. The almost orgasmic glow at holding Clark's tux and than later at thinking Clark was really saying those things when it was just Jimmy's vows.

The Clark and EDLois scenes were boring and disgusting. I thought she came off so pathetic with her longing gazes. She looked more upset over Clana being together than Chloe being missing. I'm sorry but her sudden feelings don't make me feel bad for her. I've already seen a story of a girl who's in love with Clark on this show done much better, and her name is Chloe Sullivan. I guess with the Tempest almost kiss ripoff, EDLois' single white female-ing is complete.

In my opinion, I thought this episode was pretty slow paced and didn't live up to all the hype... Maybe I was just too spoiled, who knows.
What I liked:
DOOMSDAY!
Chloiac! And in the Doom Fortress? Interesting...
Clark giving back the flower was sweet, expect why was Lois even there... she was ruining the moment!
The Chlark dance was nice, AM and TW have such great chemistry..
Lana was much more bearable then Lois in so many ways.
The Lex bit at the end was cool. But, I'm not expecting a follow up though.
What I didn't like:
Lois. So much Lois. I kept asking myself 'Why exactly is this episode called Bride?' Lois was in every other scene. The Bride was maybe in 10 minutes tops.
Please stop with the Clois anvils! We know it, they end up together but it's getting beyond ridiculous. Both Jimmy and Oliver pimping Clois in one episode. That's just insane.
The Clois dance was just awkward, I didn't see any..sparks. Of course, I'm biased.
Oliver. I don't know, I just didn't like him here.
