From Zap2it:
Jimmy catches a red and blue blur on film when he takes a picture of Clark saving Lois from a mugger; after Tess decides to run the picture on the front page of the Daily Planet, Clark fears his identity will be discovered.

Aw, Jimmy was so cute with Clark when he figured out the secret at the farm.
In other news, Clark should just fuck Oliver's chin dimple and be over with it. The hotness between them is just too unbearable.
Chloe at the end? Fantastically badass. And next week looks fun!

Loving the Chloe-Brainiac insanity... And it was nice to see a little of real-person Oliver and Heroic!Clark. Plus Lois got her ass kicked, which is always refreshing, considering how much she mouths off to people who can do it.

Oy, put the cape on already. And fly. You can do it.
How does Chloe even know she can do what she did, much less have the personality
change to do it?
Lois: still annoying.
Jimmy's arc: we've seen this like 10 times already with different characters.
Not a bad eppie; just chock-full of anvils that no one needs to see.

That is the first time Chloe ever took my breath away! The question is why would braniac protect Clark like that? I think that was Chloe but a Braniac-inhibitions free Chloe. AM killed that scene!! But she totally did what she accused Lana of doing.
Loved the Clark anvils and the Lois anvils; a little irony never hurt anyone.

What the hell is going on? That's 2 good episodes in a row. Hopefully they can keep this up.
Gotta love the fact that Jimmy was able to put together that it was Clark. He did get fooled at the end. But it didn't take him much to put it together. Jimmy Olsen is light years ahead of Lois. That's pretty damn funny.
I love what they're doing with Chloiac. Despite the fact that Lana was the focus of numerous storylines she never had anything this awesome. The only question about that final scene is, how much of that was Chloe and how much was Brainiac?
One other thing. "Not in this lifetime", boy that's a big time anvil.

I had the TV on but I tuned out most of it, 'cause Lois is anoying, but here's what I thought of what I saw.
Again, I like Jimmy when he's not around Chloe. He's so much more enjoyable. Can we keep him and ditch the whiney, crying dude?
So, Ollie's spiral into doubt is over. Blink and you missed it. It hardly had any impact.
Liked the cape.
Tom Welling is very attractive, but he's still phoning in his performances.
Whoa! Chloe killed a dude. That caught my interest.

Okay, this Chloe-Braniac story is awesome, dark, and cool. Yay for Allison Mack!!!
I wonder what percent of her is Chloe and what percent is EVILLLL. Clearly, she was trying to protect Clark. So Chloe's still in there. But then she killed the guy... though when she was walking away the expression on her face wasn't maniacal, it was more confused. So I don't think she's fully gone yet.

Finally, it's obvious she's possessed by Brainiac.
Brainiac sure has a hard on for both her guys, Clark and Jimmy. Well, he can have Jimmy but he can give the alien back to Chloe.
I'm just glad they threw subtlety out the window - Brainiac is controlling Chloe and she doesn't know what the hell she's doing or why she's doing it. It's beyond time that they put that out there. Brainiac's control is increasing way faster.

Jimmy Olsen stole the show!
It's hard to believe it, but Jimmy figured out that Clark was the hero, with logic. He also figured out why Chlark were such good friends, and that it was because of Clark's secret. He also seemed pretty resilent to the shock--and made a compelling argument that he would keep Clark's secret and be good at it.
And I thought that the Chlark/Jimmy scene at Isis was great, well played by everyone. I was rooting for Jimmy to know the secret.
What can I say about Oliver? Cheer up, Lois still likes you, because she was really snacking down those martini OliveŽs at the Ace of Lame.

Better than Committed and Instinct but that's not saying alot. Nois was annoying and is getting over the top with her bitch in heat panting over Clark and, yes again, going around in skimpy outfits. How wonderful.
Oliver's arc of quitting took about five seconds. What was the point?
Way to jump on the story, Lois, after Jimmy published it as a front pager.
Too many anvils---capes, men in tights, Lois Lane getting an interview. ENough with it. We get it.
Chloiac - so many levels of wrong. Chloe's never been about harming anyone or about killing people out of anything other than self defense like with Gabriel and struggling for the gun in Hidden. Now they have her being mindraped by Brainiac and then used to murder people. Great. So am I supposed to go "ooh Chloe's evil" now because she's being used like Zod used Lex or like even Jor-El brainwashed Clark into Kal-El to cause Lex's plane to crash in Crusade.
Thanks PS3 for taking the best, most loyal, most moral character you have and making her a vessel so that Brainiac can murder through her. It's like it's not enough to force her out of journalism, brainwash her into loving Chimmy forever, and throwing Doomsday in her way, now you have to make Chloe murder.
Fine, whatever. Nois is awesome and they should have iconic Clois sex now that Chloe's teh Evil now.
Man, mind-raping plots are so tired.

Clark never changing his wardrobe has FINALLY caught up with him! Get a different jacket!
I thought it was average overall but there was some good stuff, namely the ending and the stuff with Ollie (though that storyline could have been longer). I thought Clark was being a douche throughout about his identity though he had reason to be paranoid. I thought though he should have trusted Jimmy but I can understand him not wanting to get more people involved. Especially in a world where guys like Sebastian have the power to read minds.
Jimmy was used pretty well for the second straight week. He definitely is a much better character when he's not around Chloe.

IA. Mind-raped and made being used against her will to kill people
Fantastic, that. Then again Chloe is evol! because of Braniaic so she isn't going to go off the deep end so that Nois can complete her SWF-ing. Another way to "get rid of Chloe" being played with and being set at Brainiac's feet.

I don't think the point is for people to go "yay Chloe is evil." The point is to get the audience rooting for Brainiac to be gone from Chloe. It's the point of
Legion..
This isn't Chloe and Brainaic is using her. There's a difference between activitly choosing to be "evil" (Lana, Lex) and being used by evil forces.

I felt pretty bored watching this episode...
First off why is Tess suspecting Lois and Jimmy of taking the crystal and not the two people who know about, Clark and Chloe?
The Clois scenes were beyond lame. It all feels so awkward. With the dress zipping up and Clark's comment about not leaving the Talon like that, it was more like Brother!Clark to me...
Lois calling Clark? Why? I didn't get that all, I've never seen her suspect him of being a hero, at least I don't think she ever did. Why is she all of a sudden calling this story? It's not like she will never get that interview, she should have believed it by the picture first. I didn't get much of a congratulations to Jimmy from ED, either. Not even a smile, it was odd. I thought she was mocking him, so then followed by her taking the story was just confusing.
I like that Oliver is the GA again, was not enjoying drunk!Oliver.
Was that Chloe at the end or Chloiac? Hm... interesting.
Jimmy knowing Clark was a little fun in the beginning but of course I knew it wouldn't stick in the end..
In all, I defiantly could have done without Lois. I have a feeling it would have been a lot more enjoyable and less obnoxious. Remembers the awesomeness that was Prey.
Next week: Clois goes to Hell!

Jimmy was actually ok in this episode because they weren't trying to make me think he and Chloe were super in love.
I think Clark should have come clean with Jimmy. He's marrying Chloe and chances are he's going to get taken hostage at some point over Clark's secret anyway. He should know why he's getting the crap beaten out of him.
Loved Ollie. Can't wait to see him in the green leather again!
Chloe was her usual awesome self. I hope some of what she said to Clark sinks in. I don't know how I feel about the Chloiac at the end.

Nah not Chloe I think Brianiac is gaining more power. You could tell with the eyes guys that it was Brainiac in control.
I liked that Jimmy actually discovered that Clark was the guy saving people. I thought it was hilarious when Clark zipping up her Lois's dress because you can tell how he's still uncomforable in the "ewww your my sister" kind of way. I also thought he was totally acting like a big brother/father with the "Are you going out in that dress?" comment. I loved the Chloe and Clark seen most of all. I loved Chloe telling him he needs a alias, that was so cool. And Jimmy basically got the first scoop on the future Superman lol. Hee!

Not a bad episode, really. I love Jimmy Olsen as superreporter and Clark Kent's pal. It's great that Jimmy did all the work (using Chloe's articles at the Torch, hee). I was amused by EDLo's anvil at the end-- "I didn't do any of the work, but this story will get me out of writing crap articles, so I am so on it!" Please. This episode wasn't bad mostly because EDLo was a minor subplot, as she should be. But her panting over Clark was mildly disgusting, especially when it was followed up with a barrage of insults. Sheesh-- what a horrible, dysfunctional marriage they would have. Good thing I'm a Chloiser. I can't root for that.
The Ollie stuff, as has been said, was ridiculously brief. "I'm having a crisis! Oh, well, it's over now." I like Clark's realizations about giving hope to the world, too-- this all actually made sense to me, rather than coming across as a lightswitch. Clark would like to give hope to the world, and he has the very human desire to be the one that people are looking up at with admiration. I can buy that.
Um... Chloe kills. Ugh. I suggested that, way back when I came up with this ridiculous Chloiac idea, but I hoped they would not go that far. And yet... they did. Jerks. It's not her fault, but it's so much for her to come back from. What a thing to have on her conscience. She's been the heroine of the show for years, saving people, saving Clark-- and now suddenly she's a murderer, through no fault of her own. Takes kick-the-Chloe to a whole new level. PS3, you are no longer in my good graces. I do not appreciate your treatment of my favorite character. Gotta admit AM sells the Evol and the "I have no idea what just happened," though. AM can sell pretty much anything, bless her. Too bad they're peddling such crap for her character this year.
Does Nois not know how to dial 911? I could have done without her in the episode, she didn't add much. Legendary? Is her phone number on a bathroom stall somewhere?
No kidding. She doesn't even think Clark's a hero. It makes sense when Chloe calls him, but EDLo? Contrivance. On the up side, it saved us from her calling for him, and him hearing her, which I was somewhat afraid of. Great to know that he still isn't listening for EDLo.

Of course! It's ICONIC & DESTINY (Or DENSITY, who knows at this rate) that she'd want fame and fortune while someone else does the hard work.
She's learnt her lessons well from Grant. Thankfully Clark isn't falling for it. I hate the idea of him doing all the hard work in their "partnership" and Nois just grabbing the fame - that's the worst sort of partnership I can think of.

Whether I have feelings for a guy or not, if I'm in imminent danger, I'm not going to call him. He might be in Smallville or anywhere in Metropolis. I'm going to call 911. It makes sense when Chloe calls him because he's her "army of one," and she knows about his powers. But to EDLo he's just a farmboy.

I could happily watch an entire episode of Clark in that tight grey top, sorting laundry.
Finally, a great episode for Jimmy! Great to see him out of romantic angst mode - Loved all his scenes with Clark and the ridiculously convoluted plan to convince him that Clark wasn't the mystery red blur.
Ollie's big cape moment was hilarious - love the one extra solemnly intoning "Look...up in the sky." I do think Oliver got over his Lionel-rage a bit too quickly but the Clark/Oliver scenes on the plane were still fun. Clark's disapproval of Oliver's bevy of babes was enjoyable.
Didn't think much of Sebastian - looked too much like a Jonas brother to be scary - but the last two minutes of black-leather Chloe were fun.

I'm pleasantly surprised that they let the story play so organically - memory manipulater + Clark's secret = mindwipe on Smallville. Lois took one step forward, two steps back. She says that she didn't let Clark know about her "deep cover" because she didn't want to put him in danger. But who does she call when she's in certain, lethal danger?! Not the po-po. Ugh, I can't even try to find her an engaging character, her brain works so backasswards.
Was that Allison on the "Previously on Smallville"? I was waiting for Chloiac to show up the whole episode thanks to the recap at the beginning that made sure to mention it, and when those black gloves showed up in the shot, I was like "Holy shit, it's Chloe." A few minutes later, I was "Holy shit, that's not Chloe." A little disappointing that she didn't do the finger thing, but it took some balls to have her off Sebastion (or Henry! What happened to your hair, pretty vampire man?) like that.

Jimmy made every single main character look the fool without even trying (well, no, he worked hard, Tess said he was up to his elbows in research, and he did research enough to know Clark started in Smallville). This is the first episode where Jimmy has impressed me. He put everything together and made Nois look like a nimrod eating up his dust with her exclusive interview nonsense.
The main thing I don't like is that it was so easy to throw Jimmy off the trail. The Jimmy that put all that stuff together and caught the whole "beat me to Isis" thing should not have been fooled by a guy rappelling down to kick some other guy before appearing by an American flag. Isn't it a little convenient that when Clark gets in hot water, (shady) evidence comes up that exonerates him? The guy didn't even super-speed away.
For that I felt a little cheated. But Jimmy actually worked really well as a character this episode. Props to him, and props to the writers for keeping Nois' parasitic self in character, even with all the falling anvils.
I felt sick when seeing Sebastian going through CloneRider's memory of Clark zipping her up. So she orchestrated that to make Clark jealous? The deepened red background and CR's little sly smile told me all I needed to know.
Missed opportunity #1245132:
"Wait, there was this one kid, in my Earth Science class back in freshman year. He's in Belle Reve though."
"What did he do?"
"Saved a couple of people, then he wrecked the school and tossed the science teacher's car into his house. Haven't seen him in a while."
"Well, could you point him out to me?"
"Here you go."
"Huh. Looks familiar for some reason."
I'm not sure about how I feel about this episode, and most of that has to do with Chloiac. When I saw the black-gloved hand, I thought "Tess." Then the guy said "Who are you?" and I was like "unseen character Lex?!" I didn't feel right when they had Chloe brazenly lying to her fiance about Clark, even when he said he understood why they had been so close and why they were playing defense so hard. But once they established Chloe as definitely Chloiac, I was more okay with it (LOL at the Onyx-style getaway; why does no one question the person hustling out of the room again?). But where do they go from here? Is Chloe losing time like Davis is? Is it completely Fine? What's going to happen here?
EDIT: Juan, Clark wasn't jealous at all. He was uncomfortable zipping Nois' dress up, and then he basically said "you look like a ho, wtf" and she basically said "so? got a prob?"

Pretty much. He was concerned, but it didn't come across to me as anything more than what he does for all his friends. And yeah, he was pretty uncomfortable zipping her up.
On other notes, I loved Ollie. I really don't care about his personal crisis but the comic relief was appreciated. And how much did I miss Tess. Good to see her back, but I half wish they wouldn't waste her appearances on what amounts to a bit part. But so far, S8 is totally working for me.
