If there's already a thread for this series I apologize, but I couldn't find it.

Before I start watching the show, I'd like to know about the finale. Is there a definite ending, or at least a sense of closure? Or does it end on a cliffhanger?

I'm just about finished with the second season DVD set. I vaguely remember watching a few episodes when it was first aired (I would have been about 11-12), but seeing them all together was a great bit of nostalgia. Just about every familiar 60s TV face, including just about anybody who ever guest starred on the original Star Trek makes an appearance, and the old Quinn Martin formula (four acts plus an epilog!) brings back great memories. One more point: maybe architect David Vincent would have been more successful if he stopped smoking for just one moment!
