The celeb teams are challenged to create a four-page magazine photo spread for a body-wash product, but two contestants head to a bar, complicating matters. Serving as Donald Trump's "eyes and ears": George Ross and Ivanka Trump.

I think NBC overexaggerated in the promos in this episode when they mentioned stuff that they could not show. That stuff was tame. I don't even think the picture of the guy nibbling on Carol was that racy. Now if the guy were implying something more overtly sexual, that'd be another story.

Wow, geez, Assorama, flip flop much on wanting PM as soon as The Donald said that your neck would be on the line? And damn, she was *that* close to being booted! (And yet, I'm yelling at the TV again during the show going "dammit, she's RIGHT! and I HATE that!")
Tito, besides the PM thing, was sunk on presentation, I think. OMG, it was painful... I literally muted my TV partway through rather than have to listen to him try to stumble through it. SOMEBODY shoulda stepped up for the presentation. Piers did for Hydra, I mean, c'mon.
And, "OMG, he's *biting* her!" Seriously. I don't think it fazed the Redbook lady at all; and probably only a little bit the Dial guys... I mean, it's not like he's actually sunk his teeth into her. They maybe tiptoed right up to the line, but didn't cross it. But what really won it, was the whole tying things in "why yoghurt? well, here's why... and here's how it improves the whole woman's life!" Piers was dead on - Carol's the demographic AND the supermodel, use her. If you're gonna go down, go down swinging, trying to hit the target. (Although, geez, even I thought the crack on Assorama was harsh, but still.)

Carol was a fabulous model. Trace was also good (but needed tan spray). Tito’s presentation was bad. Nervous, stumbling. Omarosa actually behaved herself and contributed.
Stephen gets on my nerves. Piers was right about the print – needed to be larger and stand out more. Had nothing to do with his eyesight and Stephen’s “get your specs” jabbing (about 6 times) was annoying.
Like a lot of people I was hoping Omarosa would go tonight, but I saw the writing on the wall . . . goodbye Tito.

I have to say, while Baldwin bugs me, it was cute at the beginning when he called his mom and she thought he was calling to harass her for not sending a thank you note for the first donation. And you could see how much it meant to him to do something for his mom. He's actually pretty good on this show. Even if he personally gives me the heebie jeebies.
The rest? Eh. I loved when Piers thought O was going and said he may have to excuse himself from the room. He's entertaining the hell out of me. And him and Steven bickering at the boardroom. Really, this whole season would have been so dull without those two.
What the hell did Omarosa call herself? "Miss O approves" or "Lady O approves" or something like that? Gag.
Tito- wow. I've been nervous giving presentations before too, so I'm sympathetic. But man, I hope I was never that bad. He really stunk up the joint.
No way is that shot of a supposedly married couple in bed "racy" in any way, shape, or form. Good lord. You can show women's bodies practically naked but the minute a man is in the picture doing anything but smiling fondly, that's "racy"? What the hell? It's only ok to go around in $600 lacy underwear if no man actually gets near you? How do they think Redbook readers/Dial users GET babies? One free with every matching bra and panty set?

As bad as Empresario's was, I was sad that, since there was no way Assarosa was going no matter what she did, at least we couldn't see the horrific scorn that her ad campaign choices would have likely prompted had they gone ahead with them. Trace, the voice of common sense, points out how incredibly silly he is as a beefcake pitch to sell soap to women? You listen. And having two smooth, tight toned young studs in the background? What the hell was that? A Before and After montage? Tito as the beefcake would ahve been appropriate -- using a tough guy who still likes to keep his skin soft. You could have had an anonymous set of hands resting on his bicep while he looked into the camera with his gloved fists up. But Trace? As the male eyecandy in a mass appeal type advert? Assarosa's campaign was such a pathetic mess that I think it is a crime in such a yawnfest that at least we didn't get to see it in all its horrific glory. Of course that might mean poor Trace being subjected to the silliness of him as the focus, but still, Trace is teflon by now. And Assarosa shows why she doesn't have an actual job. And looking back on her resume and adjusting for the hype, really never did.
The promos were obviously misleading so I wasn't expecting anything even remotely shocking or even surprising on the shoot. Sure enough it was a huge yawn. And just the first picture of Carol won the game.

OMG. That totally made me gag.
And yeah, Baldwin wasn't bad, although possibly misguided... it's just when he's trying to be holier-than-thou that I think we all want to strangle him...
And I forgot to mention - DT "breaking" the rules and giving an extra $50K to St. Jude for Tito? Totally okay in my book...

I don't even think the picture of the guy nibbling on Carol was that racy.
Me neither! It was an open-mouthed kiss with a little teeth. If Trump was shocked by that, I'm thinking he's a little boring in the bedroom. Ew. Why did my mind go there.
Why did they have Tito doing the presentation? Is it I rule I didn't hear that the PM has to do it? He was just not good. And didn't he say the product had aloe vera instead of yogurt?
My big problem with the whole campaign is that yogurt just doesn't sound like something I want to bathe myself in.
Piers was so sure that Omarosa was going home. Hee. She lives to strike again.
Trace is the one I hope ends up winning this thing. He's contributed so much over the weeks, and his low-key demeanor has kept the teams together. I was impressed with what he said in the boardroom this week. He said that Tito should go home in such a kind way that he seemed to be doing Tito a favor. He did do Tito's charity a $50,000 favor, as it turned out.

I was really hoping that Assorama would be fired... but with only Carol left, I just couldn't see Trump fire the only other woman with this many players left. If the teams stay the same, I think the Piers, Carol =, Lennox team will be strong next week too. They get along and Piers tones down the ego a bit with them.
I didn't think the ad was racy at all, but what do I know, I'm only in their target demographic.

Add me to the list that did not find the ad racy at all. (I'm also solidly in their demographic. More so next month. Ugh...Birthdays should be outlawed after a certain age.) I actually thought it was a fantastic spread. The pictures told a story (as they were asked to do), they had the information as to why this was a good product for the skin and it was very clean and to-the-point. It actually ties in, visually, with the types of campaigns I've seen for Dove in the past. They seem to go very minimalistic, and this kept that same vibe, IMO. Carol came up with something that was perfect for both clients. I knew they'd won when I saw the absolute GRIN on the Dove exec's face when the layout went up on the screen.

It wasn't racy, I found it realistic. If my wife came to me and said she just took a shower with yogurt (really?) body wash. I'd totally have a taste, and she'd laugh it off. Just like in the photo. Racy was just an angle for the adverts and since the other team played it so safe, a contrast to throw us off the scent of the winner.
Tito getting 50k for his charity, awesome. The winner only getting 20k, not so cool.
Omarosas <sp> turtle like behavior when Trump announced who's head was on the line would have been funny if I didn't want her gone so badly. She really is a cock-a-roach, now would someone kindly squash her?

I thought tonight's episode had some of the most fun editing I've seen on this series.
1) Trump tells Carol he's concerned about her being PM because he'd hate to send home the last woman; cut to Omarosa with a priceless look on her face;
2) Carol telling the make-up person that she needs just a little softening (or something like that); cut to a paint roller getting loaded up.
3) And kudos for catching Omarosa's buck-passing bullshit up front. I was hoping that would actually mean something, but I guess Trump's contractually obligated to keep her.
Boy, Piers reallly sold that presentation, didn't he? I think that's at least 50% of the reason for their win.

Trump is one helluva prude to get so worked up over that nibble shot. You'd think they were presenting Hannibal Lecter about to chomp into Carol Alt's shoulder. Completely innocuous. And I laughed at Trump's comment in the boardroom about Tito being a good-looking guy and then quickly saying something like "Not that I would know". Yeah right. The two celebs who give Trump the biggest boner this year are Tito and Lennox Lewis, both of whom he has fawned over repeatedly. His send-off to Tito about him being such a great human being....well, whatever turns your crank I guess. Tito gets into a ring and pummels other guys within an inch of their lives, and Trump treats him like he's discovered the cure for cancer.
Baldwin is such a tool. "Many people have told me that I could run my own studio, I'm that talented". Too bad you can barely land yourself a job and your career highlight so far is 9th billing in a hit movie that was released over a decade ago. Loser.

I think that comment was directed at Trace, and was followed by a jibe that "some guys" would've found that ad attractive. Which seemed like a really inappropriate homophobic place for him to go absolutely gratiutiously.
I think Trump's faux prudishness about the final picture in Hydra's ad was just a feeble attempt at creating suspense.

Wasn't it Dial, though?
Why did they have Tito doing the presentation? Is it I rule I didn't hear that the PM has to do it?
Piers did the presentation for his team, while Carol was the PM, so... Yeah, no rule, and Tito was a very poor choice for his team. Before I saw this ep or even knew anything about it, I would've been willing to bet money Tito was the one to go home tonight. He was the most boring contestant left, in my opinion at least, and probably was making the least "enjoyable" TV of the remaining celebs by TPTBs' standards. Luckily, for them, Tito made it easy for them this week by giving a poor presentation.
Trump's bias towards athletes is seriously starting to bug. Really, Trump? Tito is "special"? In what way, particularly? In what way on this show? 'Cause I ain't seen no specialness, my own self. Don't get me wrong. I haven't got a problem in the world with Trump giving $50,000 to Tito's charity. But why not the other fired contestants' charities, especially the ones who hadn't received anything yet already, unlike Tito's? Trump had nothing but praise for Marilu as a person, for example, but somehow she didn't measure up to Trump's "special" standards and her charity gets bupkis? Tito's team
lost this week and he got
fired, and
still took home more money this week alone than some winning PMs' charities have received for, y'know, winning.
All I'm saying is don't measure a charity's worthiness on what
you perceive to be the
celeb's specialness, Trump. All the
charities are special.

Though Hyra's ad was stronger, it had a fundamental flaw. Doesn't the fact that there were two hot males in the photos with Carol imply infidelity or something? If they are trying to present Carol as this wholesome (married?) figure with a baby, why is she with two separate men in the photos? The final photo with the biting indicated was just poor taste and poor judgement.

Hmmm. Good point. I think the photo w/dark haired male model was plenty good enough. I personally woukld be surprised to see the "nibbling" photo in a Redbook magazine or in any Dial soap ad. They should have ditched it.

I didn't think it was racy, but I thought the "husband" looked way too young for her. I'd have liked someone closer to her age (younger is okay) and more handsome. Maybe a bit of gray hair? A thinner younger John O'Hurley type.

We've seen Trump build entire seasons on being inappropriately homophobic, so I can't say I'm surprised to see him do it again. Revolted, yes, but not surprised.
Another thing with Trump's worship of athletes is that he thinks they can do anything. He was so surprised that Tito was nervous during the presentation, because he doesn't look nervous during his fights. Well, duh. Think of all the actors who make lousy talk show guests. Those are people who talk for a living, but that doesn't translate into delivering your own words in public. How does getting into a ring and pummeling someone prepare a person for giving a presentation to a bunch of executives?
A quality of Hydra's ad that grabbed me was that you could see a lot of beautiful skin. I don't mean that in a sexual way, but just that they were selling a moisturizing body wash, and Carol's skin looked smooth and soft.

May I just say that I find it quite disconcerting that I am old enough to be the core demographic for Redbook! Redbook is the old lady magazine!!! (As Carol politely pointed out during the meeting with the product execs.)
Trump was such a dickhead asking Piers if Omarosa should've been used in the campaign photos. He keeps trying to bait him into further fireworks with that witch even after Piers declared her dead to him. I thought his graveyard crack was quite tame.

Yes, the dreaded Pink Speedo.
And I think there was another layer of ick to this sequence. In the past he's sort of joked about contestants maybe being gay. This time he wasn't suggesting that Trace was bay but that gay men might be attracted to him, as if that would be a really bad thing (and maybe given Trace's target audience it would, who knows). I don't know why, but I found that even more heinous than his usually homophobia.

I laughed at Omarosa's immediate jump off of the PM pedestal the moment Trump commented that the PM's neck would be on the chopping block. Tito was right - it was foisted on him. Stephen should've been fired for strong-arming the leadership away from him and then losing. Not that I think Tito would've done a better job if he'd actually done anything. When Trump kept on about Tito being *special*, I was thinking he was referring to the Short Bus kind of *special*.

Oh my God. I can't decide which is more bizarre -- Assaroma's naked cowboy theme or Trump's suggestion that they might've won with that. They would've been laughed out of the boardroom by all of those execs. Nothing about that photo of Trace and the other half-naked guys bore even the slightest resemblance to anything in a woman's magazine. Maybe Assorama thinks it's hot, but
Redbook isn't supposed to be sexually gratifying. It was like she was shooting a beefcake calendar for gay men, who I suspect are the only group of people who still fetishize cowboys. Ads in women's magazines feature thin, pouty young supermodels, and any men involved are probably equally pretty and feminine. Kate Moss can get women to shell out $60 for a bottle of scented water that's worth ten cents. I can't believe Assorama has ever read a fashion magazine in her life. Watching her, I keep thinking I'm watching Celebrity Mole, since she seems determined to do the opposite of what makes sense.
Of course, Piers wasn't on the money, either. Even in "family"-oriented ads, the mommy model is probably 17 in real life. No way would they actually use Carol Alt for an ad campaign that's all about soft, supple skin. I think the execs just went with the one that had a more clear and accessible message about the product.
In the end, Stephen was right to avoid the homoerotic cowboy spread. That would not have won it for them. What would have won it for them would have been to think more about the story of their campaign and less about how they were going to shoehorn Trace into it.
My big problem with the whole campaign is that yogurt just doesn't sound like something I want to bathe myself in.

Hydra's ad was clearly more polished. And I think Carol would be a good choice for Dial in a magazine like Redbook. Look at the success of the Dove ads using "real" women. Thank you! Or as I've described her previously "a [you-know-what] with a calm voice." Her slow, deliberate, low-toned voice is part of her schtick, and part of what she uses to piss off people because she uses that voice to deliver either the most heinous lies or the most vile slander.
It creates a cognitive dissonance in her target and in observers, because her target is put in the position of either responding 1) with a tone of voice that is warranted by the content of her comments (at which point the target looks hysterical and out of control) or 2) with a similarly calm tone that, given the content of the comments, gives them the appearance of rolling over and conceding (which is what Tito fell into last night).

If that photo was indeed supposed to be Carol-as-a-model, that would make a second guy in the ad more acceptable. But it could've also been a family portrait - wasn't the 'baby' in that one too? I guess I wasn't paying that much attention to the smaller photos on those pages. As it wasn't so clear-cut, then using the two guys wasn't a good idea. Carol reclining in the tub was actually much better than the younger model - so good for her.

Trump was such a dickhead asking Piers if Omarosa should've been used in the campaign photos.
Agreed. He has been trying to bait Piers to nit pic Omarosa for the last few weeks. Blatant pot stirring for ratings. Shame on him.
I also agree that Baldwin talked to his mom like she was either a child or mentally challenged. He kept calling her "sweetie" which was getting on my nerves. Also, his saying to Piers "get your specs" or whatever it was over and over again was annoying as hell. I was not loving on the flea AT ALL.
Hydra's ad campaign was very smart. I thought the bite at the end was a little over the top and some of the other photos they showed with the dark haired model were much better. Innuendos of sex are much sexier than in-your-face stuff, IMO. Hey, I'm in the Redbook demographic. Chortle.

If that photo was indeed supposed to be Carol-as-a-model, that would make a second guy in the ad more acceptable. But it could've also been a family portrait - wasn't the 'baby' in that one too?
So it wasn't one and the same guy? Of course it gave an impression of a family portrait. If there were two separate guys, then that was absolutely ridiculous. I assumed that it was the same guy... I can't believe that people who actually work in modeling and advertising industry would make such a stupid mistake...
Re Omarosa, I couldn't believe when the preview for next week said: "You will be saying: I can't believe she did it..." I for one can't believe that she is ON the show, and STILL on the show after what happened two weeks ago... I really like Trump and have always enjoyed reading his books, but if that thing continues, he can soon call his new book "How To Bounce Back After Associating With Wrong People Has Damaged Your Reputation Beyond Repair"...
Especially when you consider Tito got more for losing this task than Carol got for winning two tasks
I also didn't get that "special" business about Tito. What was so special about him, that he really can't make a presentation, or say anything meaningful in the boardroom, or lead a team, or that his girlfriend is a former porn-star who doesn't know what Central Park is?

"Look ma, they got Trace lookin' like a queer!"
Too FUNNY..OMG! I had thought the same thing with the 2 guys in the background. What they ended up with (17 year old model) and Trace singing to a woman in a bathtub was just goofy!!! If I had come across that add, I would've been like wtf are they selling??? Door-to-door bathroom serenades by Trace Atkins!

I liked Carol modelling, except that one picture everyone liked (on the show) with her squirting the body wash in her hand. Her hair didn't look good for her face in that shot. I agreed with Piers that the model should be a bit older, look at all those beauty cream commercials that use middle-aged actresses. You can see some of their wrinkles but they still look wonderful. Carol is also a great model since it was her main profession for a very long time, lots of the models/actors they get for these tasks are sub-par and that comes through in the photos.
Tito was horrible, he presentation, the ideas. I know the Redbook executive mentioned their main readership is in the middle states and they loved Trace but I couldn't figure out a way to incorporate a male country music star and a body wash targeted at females. The only thing I could think of was some sort of Trace concert tickets promotion and I am not sure iof they are allowed to do that kind of thing.
