Sorry you feel that way but he is very real. I've known him for many years, he is a friend of mine, and I had a front row seat to the whole initial meeting and eventual dating of Patti, long before there was any reality TV show in the works. And the exclusively Jewish dating scene in LA is not that large, so that narrows the available pool of potential mates quite a bit if that is important to you, which it was to him. They are actually very much in love.

They're playing the ep with Lonnie the obvious plant. He is part owner of the bar that all the LA famewhores loiter at (yes, he's the best friend of those douchebags from Big Brother). The other guy is Patrick, a nerdy guy who resembles George Clooney and made a connection with Lola, a possible transexual (or was she another reality show participant?).

I watched the ep last night with Lonnie and Patrick. I thought it was really disgusting the way Patti was telling the women what to wear and how to do their hair. It was like they were just a bunch of cattle. I thought she wanted to find a "love match" but apparently the only thing she wants are hot women for the spoiled millionaires. The "exclusive" cocktail party or whatever it was to meet the women seemed really unprofessional. Just a small, empty room with wine. All the women were sitting so close together on one couch. It was just weird.
I get a bad vibe from the whole "millionaire" thing. As if dating them is some sort of privilege or something. I don't care if you're rich or poor, you better treat a woman right and not like a piece of meat whose only purpose is to make you happy.
Lonnie was creepy as hell. Clearly, the only reason he was there was to promote his club. He treated all the girls like crap, and even scolded one of them because he never saw her in "his club." He took Sabrina to his restaurant and then afterward to his club. The date was all. about. him. and his businesses. Creepy jerk.

I love the way she says she would do it for free and it is her calling.
Yeah, right. I don't see her lifting a finger for free.
She is nothing more than a madam. I am a single male and have only found one woman on the show to be attractive (Sarah - the brunette who asked dorky Harold about "Napoleon Dynamite")
Whatever happened to her - does anyone know? She was very pretty!
All the rest have had big hair, make-up and fake teeth. They all look pretty tacky.

It's funny that she has expressive hair, for lack of a better term, is tan, wears makeup etc yet doesn't look like everyone else, but has a weird cliched look at the same time. It's kinda refreshing in a way. Maybe cause it's NY/NJ trashy, not LA trashy? But I do like listening to her talk! She's a 'straight-shooter' but doesn't obnoxiously warn people she's just met of it, like "Oh, I tell it like it is..."

Paul the Liar
So last night was my ten-year high school reunion. Some guy I don't remember from high school came up to me and told me he was going to be on the premiere of the second season of Millionaire Matchmaker.
He said he also met Paul, b/c of course media-minded Paul makes an appearance on next season.
The guy also told me that Paul was engaged to another girl before we even met and that he is still engaged to her. Seems strange, considering I lived with him for several months, but then I called Patti, and she didn't deny it!
She said she's learnt that everything Paul has said or done has been one fat lie!
And the bastard had the audacity to email me a message of congratulations after I got engaged a few months ago to a man who is everything Paul wishes he could be. He even stalked the two of us when we first started dating.
I hope this time, the show makes him out to be the liar and schemer that he really is.
And if u read this Paul, NEVER EVER try to contact me again.
Damn.

Would that be the cast of Lonnie, Paul (just described above), or closet homos/stunted growth Tai n Germane? Lets not forget spiritual master-Tool Peter. On the board anyway, seems just about all the men induce a gag reflex and/or are pegged as plants.

Wait...Cidney says Paul is a stalker yet, she calls Patti to find out if Paul was really engaged while she was living with Paul? Why does Cidney care one way or the other? I mean she sounds like she is glad to be rid of the "liar Paul" so why go to that trouble to ask Patti anything about him? Sounds like Cidney is the one with issues here if she takes the time to post about a man she calls a stalker and a liar and asks him to NOT contact her again on her blog.

Look, even Andy Cohen has blogged that he met Patti's guy Andy and he said he's 'a great guy with a great head of hair'. Which are both quite true.
I don't understand why one would think that Patti could not have a boyfriend unless there were no women left on earth to choose from. Yes, LA is big and there are a number of Jewish women in LA but the dating pool for Jewish women who don't already have children, in her general age range, is not very big at all. Believe me, I sat through the tales of the failed dating process with him for quite a while before Patti came into the picture and the outlook seemed grim. There are a lot of women in LA but there are also a disproportionate number of bizarre women in LA too. You try dating in LA sometime. It's one of the hardest places in the world to find a real person to fall in love with. Anyway, they met, they liked, they were the right fit for each other, and they fell in love.
None of this is to say I really like this show. But I don't like seeing her dissed for things that are not true. There's plenty to complain about (from the show) that is true without casting aspersions on her actual boyfriend, who is a really good man. A person who doesn't want to be on a reality TV show for shits and giggles is not someone to be suspicious about, it's someone with good sense who is not a famewhore. I admire that.

I took a swift dislike to Patti after her two employees attempted to talk to her about a raise or getting commissions. Her reaction was ridiculous. All this nonsense about "bonuses". Trips, 4 star restaurants and designer purses don't pay the bills. Offer the girls cash for a bonus then if you don't like the idea of commissions. Your employees are not your children, they are employees and you are their boss. That is the relationship.

Sometimes Patti looks pretty and other times - well I wouldn't call her ugly because I don't think she is, but her face can appear very "off" ... I think it's her hair/head? I can't figure out what it is about her hair. It doesn't look like a wig/weave - the hair is so soft and natural looking, but then sometimes the top of her head seems abnormally large, like she has her real hair wrapped around the top of her head underneath the wig?
For the life of me I can't figure out what's up with her head.
I also agree with the poster who mentioned her reaction to her employees asking for a raise, and how she said they are like her children. But I will say that when you work for a small privately run company like that, you are just not going to get the professional boss/employee dynamic and/or relationship that you would get working for a corporation. My sister is an office Manager for a Dematologist, with about 6 employees, and they have the same problem because the Dr. is the boss. I hear stories that would have the HR department of a corp company cringe.
All in all, I like the show although I cannot stand the old ass men 45+ (nothing wrong with being 45+ but get a grip and realize that you are middle aged) wanting to date women between the ages of 18-22. That one 33 year old dude who practically had a coronary when Patti suggested a woman of 26-28 and screamed 28?!?! Go younger, much younger, like 18.
Same with some of the other almost 50 year old men, who really think that a woman of 21 is going to be physically attracted to them? Maybe there are some really young girls who would be, but not the majority of them.
I'm looking forward to the new season. Some shows on Bravo, the seasons are way too short.

Same here. She seems to have a rather large/strong jaw and jawline. She needs to stop with the fake tan stuff. With that dark hair, it just doesn't look right. She has beautiful eyes. I think the bangs are what look awkward. It gives her face a square look. She needs some style that softens. It is just blunt. Maybe some soft curls if she likes having long hair. And maybe pulling her hair away from her face sometimes might help.

I'm watching the reruns this afternoon, the one with that dick from the famewhore restaurant/clubs. I had forgotten he associates with Ashton Cutcher as well as Dr Kirby and Mike Booger, which explains a LOT. I forgot what a cunt Patty was until I saw the part in which she told her clientele to tart themselves up, although I did laugh at her practically pushing the "me love you long time" oriental hooker who somehow had wandered into the cattle-call out the front door.

I totally agree with not watching further seasons. Patti sees herself as having a righteous calling of some kind.
I don't care what Patti calls it. She's running a legal escort service. The girls who don't get it are the ones who seems so bewildered in the exit interviews after a date didn't go so well.

Her reaction was absurd. All that "family" and "you're like my children" talk made me want to barf. All she had to do was calmly say no, or say she would think about it. Instead it became all about her and how hurt she was.
What I really hated was how she behaved when she and the girls took a few of Yoga Guy's classes. (I forget his name. Peter, maybe?) Geez, show a little respect. Also, shut up for just one minute. Why is he a control freak because he expects people to sit still and be quiet,

I came across a marathon last week and, after seeing endless commercials for the show, I decided to watch a few episodes. I was expecting something fun and entertaining. She seemed really fake and was putting on one big show the whole night. I wonder who she is engaged to now.
I disagree with a lot of Patti's choices! How do you guys feel about this? She makes it seem like she has this amazing art for setting people up but a lot of the matches seem so off. Like that young guy from new jersey and that trashy girl from north caroline - what was she thinking? That wasn't in the best interest of the guy - yes, maybe in the short term, he was excited that he has an attractive date but as a soulmate, she had nothing to offer. It was obvious she wanted to jump on him for the success and $$. Thats not responsible matchmaking.
Another thing, I wanted to add, can someone clarify the Paul and Sidney situation? That seemed SO odd!! I don't get it. It was so weird - he proposed after the first date???
I definitely didn't like how she decided that because he was jewish, she had to set him up with a member of the same religion - she hinted that she was doing it for God, and that if she wanted to set him up it had to be with a jewish girl. While I'm not on the Patty love train, I don't think it's necessarily offensive to inquire about religions of prospective mates. It's possible the guy did ask for a Jewish girl and we never saw it on cam. It's also possible that Patty brought this up because in the Jewish religion, if a Jewish man has a child with a non Jewish woman, the child is not considered "Jewish". For some Jewish men, it could be an issue.

"For every four questions that a man asks her, she should ask one, and not be so inquisitive to the point where it's too much," she said, in an interview before last night's launch party of the Canadian wing of the Millionaire's Club, a trophy-wife trade show.
Twenty minutes after the scheduled start time only 86 applications had been filled out at the Carlu, a downtown event venue. Organizers had expected between 400 and 800 applicants. Of the women that came, at least a few were professional models sent by their agencies -- ringers to beef up an otherwise poor showing.
