I swear I think I saw Edyta and Alec in a commercial for Jared Jewelry stores here in the Chicagoland area. I hate those damn commercials. Anyway, they're dancing (with different partners) in a competition and one of the judges comments on Edyta's bracelet. She gives the utterly annoying tag line, "HE went to JARED!" Alec's "partner" comments on how "HE went to JARED!" (again hate HATE) and he rolls his eyes.

It is called 'An Incomplete & Inaccurate History of Sport.' It is a hilarious recounting of his life with comments on every sport from basketball to bocce (he says he didn't even know it was spelled with an "e" rather than an "i" until the book was edited!).

If you are a fan of ESPN, SportsCenter, and especially the humor of Kenny Mayne, I definitely recommend you pick up a copy as soon as it arrives in stores. In the first sitting, I read all the way to page 82 (Dodgeball), and the book has already covered sports like Australian Rules Football, Carnival Games and of course, his ill-fated 'Dancing...' appearance (Mayne was the first person voted off. Ouch!).

Rehearsals for the show were more intense than learning new steps for the TV dance competition.

"This is more serious. I was, like, messing around and having fun on 'Dancing With the Stars,'" he said.

The Osmond siblings are about to become big-time Las Vegas headliners. Beginning in September, Donny and Marie will play the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel for 26 weeks spread over eight months.

That process continues on Sept. 9 when the Osmonds will open at the Flamingo Las Vegas. According to a release announcing the engagement, the 90-minute show will be presented by Danny Gans (an impressionist/comedian who is a longtime Las Vegas entertainer) and Chip Lightman of GansLight Entertainment. It will be an "extravaganza" that will "highlight Donny and Marie's greatest hits in a multimedia spectacle presented on a custom-designed stage with multiple video screens and a large cast of dancers."

As Seymour finishes her latest acting role in the independent film, “The Assistant,” she is packing up to come to Stone Harbor for Ocean Galleries’ exhibit of 80 of her artworks.

Seymour said that it was her painting that renewed her spirit when 17 years ago, she nearly lost everything. At this very critical time in her life, she found that painting brought her a wonderful peace.
Although she never expected it to become a whole new career, now her artwork is inspiring fabrics, greeting cards and jewelry designs.

Her ‘open heart’ artwork has also become an entire jewelry line worn by Dancing with the Stars celebrities and now available through Kay Jewelers. Proceeds from the sale of these pieces will fund some of her favorite charities including St. Jude’s Hospital and organizations that deal with child abuse.

You were the first celebrity contestant voted off the second season of“Dancing with the Stars.” Backstage afterward, you questioned whether the Italian judge (Bruno Tonioli) understood your performance. You said you and your partner were portraying“two children lost in the woods, and there's a snowstorm, and then the tanks are coming …,” prompting the show's host to suggest your choreography had been written by Leo Tolstoy. How did this humiliation compare to your striking out while hitting off a tee, a Little League experience you describe in your book?

Mayne: Striking out from the tee was far more humiliating. You know, it's worse when you're around your peers, as opposed to a television audience of 30 million people, as crazy as that might sound. I thought I held my own (on“Dancing With the Stars”). I know I'm not a good dancer, but I wasn't nearly as bad as I was judged to be, relative to some of the other dancers, especially the men. ... I think the way the show depicted me (video clips showed Mayne's partner getting mad at him during practice) and Bruno's comments (he called Mayne's cha-cha“demented”) may have influenced the voters at home who don't think for themselves.

The former wrestler has joined the cable network's upcoming series "Samurai Girl," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Samurai Girl," based on the popular young adult novels, centers on 19-year-old Heaven (Jamie Chung), a Japanese girl who learns that her adoptive father is the head of the Yakuza and possibly had her brother murdered. She leaves her family to train in the ways of the samurai and to plot against her father's evil empire with the help of her new American friends.

Keibler will portray Heaven's rival and the ex-fiancee of Jake (Brendan Fehr), Heaven's love interest.

Along comes TLC looking to cash in with the cheapo “Master of Dance.” This show is what NBC’s late, lamentable “Singing Bee” was to singing - a cheap knockoff meant to impress with average folks taking the stage. It’s hosted by another “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, Joey Lawrence, who looks creepy with a bald head, orange tan and a wisp of a mustache.

Lawrence practically needs the full half-hour to explain the show’s rules.

The three judges - comedian Loni Love, choreographer Keith “Tyce” Diorio and ex-“Solid Gold” dancer Lucinda Dickey (wasn’t that show on 20 years ago?) - rank them on style, adaptability, energy and classic moves.

People Magazine has named Mario Lopez the Hottest Bachelor of 2008. Former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant made an appearance on NBC's Today show this morning to talk about the honor and give the viewers a little taste of the sexy photo shoot he did for the magazine. Talk about the eye candy.

4 Of course, you did try dancing on "Dancing With the Stars." Can we find you out at the Chicago clubs keeping up your skills?

No, I have promised to never dance again. I believe I issued a public apology. I didn't know how to dance before I did the show and I think people voted to keep me on "Dancing with the Stars" each week just to hurt me and make me dance even more. I also got the pity vote. I did dance at my daughter's wedding. She was in the most beautiful gown and in the middle of the dance, Katie said, "Dad, my dress is on your feet. We can't see your feet. So what was the point of 'Dancing With the Stars?' "

5 Despite all the craziness of your day job, you sound like a good dad. What is the secret?

Well, my daughter says, "Dad, try not to embarrass us any more than necessary," and I listen to her. Also I think if your child knows -- I mean really knows and not just because you're saying it -- that they're loved unconditionally, then you're on the right track. Your child must know that you are probably the only person in the world who has no other agenda than what's good for your kid. When they go to other people, there can be some other reason people will give certain advice. From the parent there is only one reason -- even if it's said without a smile.

Sara Evans is becoming a regular in the reality TV world. Her most famous reality TV appearance was likely her turn as a celebrity dancer on Dancing With The Stars. Last week, she made an appearance on the reality game show Million Dollar Password.

This week, Sara Evans pays a visit to the reality competition HGTV Design Star. Since the show was filmed in Nashville, HGTV Design Star producers decided to give this episode a country theme. The designers are challenged to make over two luxurious hotel suites at the Opryland Hotel.

Keibler still watches the dance competition show. She has been asked on several occasions to go back and dance. But she always has had other commitments. And Keibler is not so certain she should go back. It was all about being in the mindset.

Stacey Keibler, co-star of the ABC Family mini-series SAMURAI GIRL, joins Madison Michele in the Hollywood 411 studio. She compares the pain of sword training with her days on DANCING WITH THE STARS.

“Because of my broken ribs, I have a little dip and twirl problem,” I malingered.
“I can dip and twirl myself, no one will ever notice the difference,” she assured me with only the slightest of narcissism.

What do you think of the show now?

It's gone through a lot of changes. In my personal opinion, I think it's a little over-produced. I'd like to go back to see some of the basics. It looks like the people are there marketing themselves. I hate to see people out there begging for votes. I would like to take the Spencer Tracy approach, do your work and go home. If they vote for you, they vote for you. And if they don't, they don't. I just think it's a little over marketed now.

If they brought back past contestants, would you do it again?

Oh yeah, sure. It would be difficult for me to find the time. 2009 is gone for me, so I would have to look at 2010.
