TWoP Mars has given us the green light to start a thread about Neil. Anyone have any ideas for a title?

I suggested - Neil: I have no integrity (or) Neil: Phil was a real man, I'm not

Thanks to DanaMB for - Neil: "It wasn't supposed to be that obvious."

Come on, give it a try!

"Neil: He ain't heavy...He's got water..."

That is pure genius.

I'm really curious as to how they'll treat Neil this week. In my fantasy world, his master plan part two will fail somehow, but that's all wishful thinking.

He hasn't done any interviews, has he? Has anyone, regarding the Neil scandal? I feel like it's something like this that can ruin the reputation of the whole show, especially since so many people are motivated by it. I think that's why I'm so anti-Neil right now. He didn't just screw over a lot of the other contestants, he let a large majority of the viewers down as well.

And sure, I know it's a game and that it was based on personal strategy, but TBL was just... different to me in some sense.

I don't quite hate Neil as much as I think I should or am supposed to. I mean why should he care about the other contestants, really? Heck, people in my own family backstab, disrespect, downgrade each other, so his actions don't seem all that big a deal to me. It might be sad that we live in such a dog-eat-dog world, but that is reality unfortunately. If Neil isn't hurting himself physically (I am sure that is open to debate), then waterloading is fair game IMO. I wouldn't do it, but I can't hate him that quickly for doing it either. I too want the show to put more emphasis on weightloss than competition, but it is ultimately a competition. Do I respect him or like his personality? No. Was it shady and risky? Yes. Disdainful even maybe. But he was doing what he thought would advance himself in the competition. Time shall tell if it does.

Edited because good grammar is important.

I'm going to open a subtitle thread so that we don't clutter up this thread with the boards on boards. I'm moving the subtitle discussion stuff from here to there. Thanks.

The teaser on the nbc site promises a "shocking weigh-in" with "the biggest loss ever".

Gee, I wonder who that could be, and I wonder WHY that could be. Could it be ...oh, the guy who's guaranteed to lose 17 pounds, on top of whatever he might have lost at the last weigh-in, on top of his usual loss? I'm guessing he's going to drop at least 35. It just seems like too much to hope for that "the biggest loss ever" would be the show jettisoning 372 pounds of ugly flab in the form of Neil himself. Mainly because that wouldn't be much of a loss.
