ROFL! OMG Susan meeting the gay guys. Later, for a moment I was like "Susan cooking?" The dog? Come on now... LOL! I knew it would get into the paint. Sheesh... now a $2,000 suit. Ridiculous.
I knew Katherine's aunt was gonna confess something. Poor Lily. At least she wrote a note(my mom totally called that when she was watching it)
The first Tom/Lynette scene was kind of blah. Brandi the slutty cheerleader was hot however. Tom had a big point at the end.
LOL at Andrew and Orson over the scooter. It's Phyllis! Heh. "I bet you wish I'd break my neck on that scooter now" Evil Andrew is back! The scene where Phyllis finds the fake pregnancy stuff... priceless. WOW, I'm honestly surprised she didn't tell everyone the truth. HAHA... she's getting Danielle out!
LOL at Carlos/Edie/Gaby/Victor.
Oh crap! Edie knows. That was an awesome scene with the music and the panning cameras.

Wow, Aunt Lily didn't last long. And I admit that I don't know much about crabs, but for all Edie knows, Gabbie is patient X, not her.
ETA: So Gabbie could have given Carlos crabs before they split, but then like I said, I don't know if crabs work that way, go dormant for periods of time.

I think Susan now qualifies as completely retarded. If it wasn't clear before, it is clear now. I was with her until she said she was going to hold the dog until they got worried, so she could play hero. That's just cruel. And also, they are gay Susan, they don't have a third head. Try not to be so much of a spaz. I do wonder if Andrew is going to play some role in wrecking their relationship. It would certainly give him something to do besides menacing his mother.
The rest was very good. The baby shower. The mystery. All very good.

What a huge letdown after last week.
I hate that Susan the annoying twit dominated. Has she acted like a rational, mature adult even once since she married Mike? I do like Bob and Lee though.
Lynette's cancer story bores me to tears without Stella involved, and I can't stand Tom/Lynette.
Phyllis finding out about Bree's plan was sooooo anticlimactic. Why does Bree keep all those pillows anyway? Is she planning to fake more pregnancies?
How did Edie's gyno see anything with her sitting up and the sheet around her ankles? I admit I LOL'd when Gaby treated Victor. Rolled my eyes at the crabcakes.
Dylan's cello playing looked totally fake. I don't think her fingers or the bow were keeping up with the notes.

LOL at Orson on the scooter! The funniest part of the whole episode.
Tuc, Kevin, and Nathan all on the same show? Amazing.
Please, please, please, someone out Bree's charade! It's driving me crazy how idiotic they all look. Danielle and Phyllis for the job? Yes!
The whole Gablos/Victor/Edie storyline is going somewhere. That one scene between them at the shower made me think that Edie and Victor are gonna team up.
Lynette looked hot as Brandi. And you know what? I was totally on Tom's side tonight.
Susan and gay guys. Haha. Raphael is adorable though. But why the hell is Susan still flat as a board?
Not much Kat, which is good. Now I'm no so sure if Dylan is the same girl or not, cuz Lillian was like, "tell THAT GIRL".
All in all, a better episode than I thought it would be, but last week's was far superior.
Next week: GO AWAY JOHN! And jealous!Carlos. And the fountain! And homeowner's association. Sweeps, here we come!

I think it was Victor, but either way half the cat's out of the bag for Gablos.
Overall a great episode, but the Susan subplot was a little to "I Love Lucy" for me. It happens to me every once in a while with a comic plot. It's supposed to be funny but my reaction is to cringe and channel surf to avoid the inevitable humiliation of the stupid protagonist.

Did anybody have flashbacks to Golden Girls when Rose desperately tries to get her cubicle neighbor to like her when Susan was trying so hard to make the gays like her? As well the Golden Girls moment when Blanche humiliates herself in front of Rose's little person date, trying so hard not to be so self-conscious? Or am I the only person that uses Golden Girls as a point of reference for everything?

Wow, they took Katherine into Frozen Bitch Territory. I liked the cross cutting between Dylan's cello* playing and Aunt Lily dying. It's such a dramatic cliche, but I don't care.
Every time that I think that Orson and Bree are my favorite couple, Tom and Lynette have to have a scene which still makes them endearing to me. I enjoyed watching their scenes tonight.

Lynette, you're not a "Cancer Bitch", you have 5 kids and cancer, you have a little right to be selfish, especially if your husband rebuffs you because you're bald from your CANCER. Just as I thought they were painting Tom back into the Ugly Human Being corner he goes and becomes sweet at the end.
I liked the end with Phyllis and Bree, with the second chance, it's nice that she wants one with Bree. But how Bree of Bree to remove all of Rex's pictures, that's kinda traditionalist, right?
Orson on the bike was comedy gold. And Bree scolding him like a child. I could NOT love those two more.
Susan v. Bob is AWESOME. Funniest parts of the episode, especially Susan going through the cookies right in front of him. I wanted to see more of Bob and Lee though, not enough, they have plenty of time but I want mooooore.
The only part I enjoyed about the whole crabs thing was Gaby trying to administer the medication to Victor.
Oh and wow, Katherine is a Stone Cold Bitch. DH doesn't get commended enough for it's cinematography, the back and forth between Dylan's violin playing and Katherine's aunt dying was spectacular.

"Because she wanted to, and I'm a guy."
I love it.
Other than that, Edie needs to be on a backburner. I just don't like her anymore.
The red wig looked great on Felicity and great on Eva, too. Is it a magic wig? Because then I want one.
Susan's beginning to grate, becing so incredibly incompetent at EVERYTHING. But I love both of the new guys (even if I do only know them as Kyle-from-Judging-Amy and David-from-One-Life-to-Live), so that could be good.
And I love Andrew. He makes me chuckle.

I feel like I should be feeling Tom in this episode, but once again I mostly want him to be hit by a car. I'm not even someone who always sides with Lynette. Last year during the t-shirt debacle especially I was pretty solidly on his side. But tonight I thought he was mostly being a big whiny baby. At the end I thought Lynette was going through an over the top parody of shame but then she was serious about it.
Maybe this is just my own experience with the subject, but I feel like when you are related to someone with cancer, your job is to be the stoic hero so they feel free to share their fears with you without feeling like they're burdening you. Share your fears with everyone else as much as you want, but with the person who's, you know, possibly dying, I think you really can afford to make it all about them. Though it wouldn't surprise me if Tom has no one to talk to besides Lynette since he's so ridiculous a person.
And I did think he could have afforded to try and see things from Lynette's POV a bit more. She didn't throw a fit initially with him about his aversion to the bald thing, even though because of the cancer and the loss of hair she has to be feeling like less of a woman. That was, to me, her buttoning up to give him something. Yeah, he won a few points at the end with just wanting to be Lynette and Tom, but I was still left more annoyed than not.
The rest of the episode other than Dylan and the aunt I found kind of grating, honestly. I'd like for once for someone to like Susan. Susan embarrasses herself in front of yet another group of people is getting a little old.
Does anyone know what song Dylan was playing on the cello at the end btw?

It was a fun episode. It wasn't as good as the episodes have been (probably my least favorite of this season thus far), but it was still better than all of season three (excluding "Bang!") and the majority of season two.
Carlos's line "Ew! It smells like burnt licorice" was just absolutely horrendous. It was a badly written line, and his delivery was horrible. I wouldn't mention, but it stuck out so bad that I'm still reeling from it almost an hour later.
I was grossed out by the crabs stuff. The rubbing... the salve... the brush... all the talk about it... it was too gross for me. I cringed the entire time during the Gaby/Victor scene. Also, did I hear Lynette say "you're still limp" to Tom? That was gross, too. Lynette trying to have sex while bald was freaky, too. She looked like those aliens from "Alien Nation."
The gay guys have potential, and I don't blame them for hating Susan now. That was pretty stupid, even for her.
Orson is hilarious. I love Andrew. Bree is a lot of fun. I actually want to see more of Danielle. For the fourth year running, the Van De Kamps (they're not Hodge, damn it) are the best thing about the show. It was nice to see Phyllis again. Throwbacks to earlier seasons when done right are wonderful.
Fun episode... too gross for my taste, but I'm really intrigued by the mystery, I love most of the characters, and the writing (aside from the Carlos line from hell) seems to be back on track. I can't wait to watch the rest of the season.

So glad someone finally outed Bree. Maybe now we can get past this fake pg story it is dragging along for me. Now that grandma has gone to break out Danielle it should get interesting and then be over.
Liked last weeks show better but this was okay.
Have to agree with the above poster that referenced I Love Lucy on the Susan and the neighbors thing. Was never a big fan on the Lucy shows either.
Gabby, Carlos, Eddie, and Victor, that could get interesting.
So far I am fairly neutral on the Katherine story line. Where have I seen the girl playing the daughter before?

One question: Was there a stated reason as to WHY Phyllis sent the motorbike to Danielle? She didn't know about the pregnancy yet, so...
And I am losing all of my Bree love. She's so selfish and cares only about appearances, we all know this "second chance" thing is gonna backfire on her and she'll lose the baby to Danielle. Or at least I hope. She doesn't deserve to get a chance to "raise" (or rather, destroy) another child.

Does anyone remember Jessica's old recaps, and every now and then Susan would do something really stupid and she would just write "Oh Susan"? Because tonight was one of the biggest Oh Susans in history, right next to when she fell down the stairs and when she set her then-fiance's mother on fire. The MAVO at the end had me rolling when they showed Susan, explaining "Sometimes pests are annoying and we hope that if we ignore them, they'll just go away."
Tuc Watkins is a beautiful, beautiful man.
I know it was necessary for the story, but I thought it was really assy of Susan, Lynette and Gabby to go along with the shower when Bree was so adamant about not wanting one.
I hate to be such a guy about this, but I wasn't mad at Tom, and I loved the final scene with him and Lynette. Communication has never been their forte, but they managed to do it. In more ways than one.
LOVED Edie finding out about the Carlos-Gabby-Victor connection, all set to a cater-waiter offering people crabcakes. And she looked fabulous in that yellow dress.

You're so right. For one thing, she's not done with her own kids yet. Instead of helping Danielle raise her child, she wants to take it from her and have her second chance. I like the storyline, but I hope I'm not suppose to sympathize with Bree because I don't.

the episode was ok. I cringe through Susan's stupidity and muted the volmue. As for Bree being selfish. She is not any selfish than other of ladies. Also how can anyone think Danielle is going to be a good mother. She is even more selfish than her mother, plus Phylis is going warp her great grandchild. Plus I bet she will dump the baby on Bree and Orsan anyway. Plus Orsan is great balance to Bree. I also think Rex was also a horrible parent which lead to Danielle and Andrew being screwed up. I am happy that Edie found about the affair so she can be backburned

To me, that's what is endearing (and sometimes heartbreaking) about her. She tries so hard to be perfect, even when the effect is rampant dysfunction. In many ways she's as clueless as Susan. She believes in a world that only existed before the invention of the color TV tube, and though sometimes you see the light bulb go off in her head that the world has changed she still can't make the transition.
It's like an old closeted friend of mine a few years back. He knew he was gay, but he couldn't let go of what he saw as the American dream: A pretty wife, a tidy house in the burbs with 2.5 kids, a dog and two cars in the driveway. He forced himself into that world because that's how he defined success. Deep down he knew life would be just fine if he let himself be who he really was, and that everybody who really cared about him would be more than OK with it. Still, he still felt compelled to create his own little version of Leave it to Beaver. Just like Bree, he couldn't let go of an Idealized world that really never existed.

I am too. It's weird, but I think Orson would be a great balance to Bree and they might actually make a great set of parents. Bree reminds me so much of my mother that despite how I cringe to think of her warping another child, I hope she gets that chance. I'm in the minority it seems, but I thought this episode was pretty awful, nearly from beginning to end. (Kinda long and ranty, it seems. heh).
I could not care LESS about Tom and Lynette's sex/wig problems. I usually enjoy Lynette, but I was bored to tears tonight. I did think she looked pretty hot as Bambi, but other than that... zzzz... Where is Stella? I so enjoyed her scenes with Lynette.
I also usually enjoy Susan's zaniness, but she got on my last nerve. Locking up a dog in your garage and wanting to rub mud on him? Really, Susan? When I saw the paint sitting there, I thought the poor dog was gonna eat it and die. Glad I was wrong. heh. Susan was just so...so STUPID and not in a funny way for me, just plain old annoying.
Hated the crabs crap. I thought the scene with Victor/Gabby was absolutely disgusting (probably because I dislike Victor so much). Gabby was hot at least. I rolled my eyes out of my head during the "crabcake walk" with Edie. At least Edie now knows and maybe we can get a move on already.
Oh my beloved Bree. :( I'm afraid I'm getting a little tired of the pregnancy storyline, but it seems to be going somewhere with Phyllis. And was I the only one a little annoyed with how they gave away Phyllis' appearance by showing her in the intro? I had no idea she was coming back, then they showed the "last time on..." and was a little disappointed that they didn't just have her be a surprise. And Andrew... I usually like Evil!Andrew, but annoying Bree and nearly exposing her secret (albeit a rather tiring secret) over a...scooter? Really? I love Orson, but I found the scooter scene a little cheesy, but still, love Orson and his scene with Andrew about winning the raffle. Enjoyed seeing Danielle.
My, my, I thought Bob was quite a good-looking guy (he is the dark-haired one, right?). Not feeling his partner yet though, looks/sounds/acts a little weasely for me. But I enjoyed seeing someone interestingly new move onto Wysteria Lane.
I went from hating Kat in the first episodes to loving her last week and still being okay with her this week. I like her evilness and I think Dylan is very pretty. Still interested in the overall mystery.

Yes, Bob was the hunk with the dark hair played by Tuc Watkins. He has been on One Life To Live on and off for years and he has a killer body too. Tom was a complete asshole this entire episode. Such a douchey, self-righteous, smug asshole.
Darn, thank you. But Even then end didn't save Tom for me. He was a jackass of the biggest proportions. Even VICTOR was more likeable tonight. Lynette's not selfish, Tom, YOU are. Lynette - who was extremely sick from chemo for weeks - finally had a week where she would like to make love to her husband. She unselfishly wants to do this, and Tom gets turned off by her baldness? Then, Lynette isn't enough for him? Hhe wanted to fantasize that she was someone else. Fuck you, Tom.
I'm pissed off Lynette apologized to that bastard. Tom never apologized to her for the blow-job demanding incident and he was MUCH WORSE than Lynette ever was to him. Shut up, Tom. Go away.
I still considered it kind of hipocritical on his part seeing as he was the clueless wonder not too long ago when he was dealing with his back issues.
Yup. Lynette should have reminded him of his hypocrisy. You shouldn't have apologized, Lynette! Tom should have!
And I did think he could have afforded to try and see things from Lynette's POV a bit more. Completely agree,
Michelle. But Tom seeing something from Lynette's point of view? The self-righteous idiot (who is NOT a hero) would have to step out of his own hypocrisy to do that.
But tonight I thought he was mostly being a big whiny baby.

Yeah, I mean Susan's antics get very annoying but Lee from the very start was just an ass. I mean really, does every mutal other on this show have to be bitchy or something? I mean that gets old. even though Susan's idiocy becomes less and less cute all the time.
For me, one of the things that has made the last two episodes more tolerable for me, in terms of Susan, were people calling her out on our idiocy. Last week, we got Bree snapping at her that it's "not all about" Susan. This week, we got Mike snapping at Susan for being an idiot about the dog and her need for other people to like her. In the past, it seems like it has always been Julie just rolling her eyes at her mother and now it seems to be more of her peers being disapproving of the Susan-schtick. It still annoys me, but I hope they are trying to head her character in a different direction.

I don't think Andrew has gone back to the dark side. I believe he thought Phyllis' attendance at the shower would be more of an annoyance than the debacle it turned into. He did have an "oh shit" look on his face when he realized he had sent Phyllis to look in Bree's closet. So, I don't think his intention was to expose Bree's secret.
Did not expect the Phyllis twist in the Bree storyline. I don't for a moment believe she was sincere in her desire for a fresh start. At least not where her relationship with Bree was concerned.
And only Bree would have an official position on motorized two wheel vehicles.
I loved it when Lynette said she was a cancer bitch, and Tom said he wasn't going to argue. I wonder what her reason was before she got cancer. I'm still waiting for someone to remind her of when she implied one of her kids had cancer in order to keep a spot in yoga class.
Was I the only one expecting Katherine to smother Aunt Lilly with a pillow when she started suggesting they tell Dylan their secret? Where was Adam tonight?
I can understand Katherine not being in attendance at Bree's shower, but I would have loved it if Susan had asked her to make one of her famous pies. Could you imagine the look on Bree's face?

I was confused about his motives. I really thought he wanted Bree to have a shower so that she herself would crack and confess the charade to all, which is why he convinced her friends to throw one, but then once Phyllis finding out became a reality, he changed his tune.
