TV Guide sez:
Matt asks Molly to find the man haunting her dreams, but the outcome is not pleasant; H.R.G. suspects Claire has a new boyfriend; Angela has shocking news; and Micah's cousin Monica (Dana Davis) finds herself with some unanticipated new abilities.

The Sylar plot was like Misery in reverse. :p
And in other news, Monica is Gogo from Final Fantasy 6!

Dude!!!! Parkman Sr is an original! Awesome! But he looked too big to be the killer. So, it wasn't Matt's kid? Oh, Janice, how much more could you have hurt this man?
The Parkman/Mo fight? Hot.
I love how Sylar makes things better just by being in a scene. He doesn't even have to say more than a few words. He so owns this show. He made Maya & Alejandro interesting by being potential victims.
OMG, Claire.... You're boring and upsetting me. Lying to HRG. Grrr!
Micah looks all alone in that house. At least Monica is cool. I mean, WOW, kid. I so want that power. She's like Peter in some ways. But less annoying (Ireland!).
Until Peter gets out of Ireland, please, the episodes are so much better without him.
And crap!!! I'm finding West kinda cute after this episode because he didn't let her fall.

Holy! Welcome back to the land of hotness, Nathan. His scenes made the episode for me, especially the one with Ma Petrelli in the hospital.
Sylar was pretty hot (and evil) too :)
Things are picking up, yay. Note the lack of Hiro and Peter's storylines... TY writers.

Nichelle Nichols family is COOL. It's actually interesting. And Monica's power is actually pretty cool. Also, I think the actress is great too.
Wow. Is that Chuck's "Big Mike" doing double duty on "Heroes"?
Aw. The Parkman/Suresh love affair is over!
And little Molly? I actually WANT her dead. I HATE her.
NEXT WEEK: I LOVE Kristen Bell, but it looks like her hair needs some SERIOUS heroic help.

It's so sad that we're back to HRG and Claire not trusting each other again, really really sad :( I'm so disappointed in you Claire, and HRG! Why are you lying again!
I like how I knew everything that was going to happen in this episode and it was still awesome!
HOLY CRAP THE BIG BAD IS MATT'S DAD!!! I don't know if I expected that!
It's kind of funny that Sylar is with the twins now, cause that's really the only way they could've made that storyline interesting. Like really interesting!!! And what was with the cockroach crawling on the brick he hit Derek with?
Holy crap, that was amazing.

Man, Sylar is the bomb. What a fantastic episode. Much improved over the last couple and that can only be because Hiro and the Oirish weren't dragging it down. Focusing on the older heroes is key, Kring. Don't forget it.
Claire is getting better at lying.

Best episode this season IMO.
SO Parkmans daddy is big baddie. And Molly trapped in her mind.....terrifying.
Glad to have a break from the Feudal Japan and Ireland story.
Micah was sweet and I like Monica.Shes a mimic I guess.
And the combo of the cleanshaven Nathan and dreamy, daddy Mohinder............well,if anyone wants me, I'll be in my bunk.

Okay, here are my disjointed hyperactive notes again.
Holy crap Mohinder speaks French and sings lullabies and bickers with Mrs. Matt and I think I just died.
I actually watched American Beauty this morning, and I started thinking about West before we even saw Ricky’s face. I like Ricky. I do NOT like West. However, if he keeps being tolerable, I might learn to… tolerate him.
When did Parkman become awesome?
Word to the little Petrellinos. That beard was not good. But WOW Nathan looks better than ever. Totally digging the longish hair.
Maya + Sylar = OTP
“Naw girl, now how’m I gonna be pregnant wearin’ this outfit two shifts a day?” I think I love Monica. IF she doesn’t turn into another classic Heroes whiner woman. Dang, she’s sassy right now.
Does Lyle do anything but nod and shake his head? Man, I never had a problem with that kid until today. Hahaha West gave Claire a LIFT to the library! AHHH that’s hilarious.
Matt’s daddy holy crap I LOVE this show! But why is Papa Petrelli turned so awkwardly away from the camera? Hm, probably because Sylar’s dad ate half of his face. Yeah, that’s my new theory.
Oh my God, Claire, you can’t talk about home without talking about ZACH. And if West pushes her off the Hollywood thing I’m going to… well, probably laugh. Ha, I KNEW someone was jumping off that thing. Aw, he caught her. That’s cute. Oh no, what if I started liking the creeper? Crazy talk! Stupid creeper.
Hahaha Matt’s dad is the man of Molly’s dreams! Isn’t he a little old for her? Ahh geez this show is the best. Also? Matt’s dad is, like, the least scary Big Bad ever.
Anybody noticing an amazing lack of Oireland and Japan right now? Oh Heroes, I knew you still loved us!
Baby picture of Peter AHHH! Better makeup on the nahtaN too. Paralleling his story to Niki/Jessica would be really, really weak, though.
Holy crap Dudebro! “OMG Sylar there are killers in the car with us!” Sylar’s like “…” and then… Sylar says… he says… “Golly!” Wait a minute… Sylar… is he bluffing? He’s totally bluffing, right? Why is he being so nice…OH. Wow, I do love me some Sylar right now. I mean, Dudebro was okay, but Sylar… is going to eat Maya and Alejandro’s braaaains. I am very, very happy right now.
I can’t believe no one in the Bennet house has referenced ZACH and the manatee project! Um, Claire and your brilliant cheerleading alibi… won’t your family notice something when they go to football games and stuff and YOU AREN’T THERE?
Oh, I love the Haitian Sensation. And I hope HRG tells his family he and the Haitian made the cheerleading squad.
I can’t believe that Matt and Mohinder just had a conversation about Daddy Issues. That’s the best thing ever.
Monica is the new coolest character ever.
You guys, I love this show.
The end.

Holy crap, what an episode! I guess it's no coincidence that it was a lot more exciting when the Hiro and Peter plots were left out. I actually didn't hate West tonight. I like Monica/Instant Replay...she seems like a strong, determined character. And I'm kind of hoping Sylar and Maya hook up or something...he looked pretty damn good in that black tank top.

So another cockroach after Sylar leaves. I wonder what it means. But I'm still tired of the Wonder Twins storyline.
I also realized tonight that Wes looks like a cross between Tom Welling and Owen Wilson, but not in a good way. He's definitely evil and using Claire.
And while I don't like that they're adding another character, I admit the black girl seems pretty cool, and I like the actress who's playing her.

This episode was lot more entertaining than last week, and I really appreciated the forward plot movement. Micah, do not help that little douchebag get free cable! And how awesome is the mimic power? Also, I'm liking the Old Guard Connection...especially because it brings Parkman even more into the loop, even if Matt's dad has to be "the man from [Molly's] dreams" and trap her in her own worst nightmare. Speaking of people who generally bore me, someone (ahem, Sylar) please kill the Wonder Twins. Or at least Miss Black Tears of Death--she could not be any dumber. West is still a little creepy with the perseverance, but he's growing on me a little--that is one lonely kid. And I'd like to restate for emphasis, DO NOT KILL NOAH B, Kring.

Ooh Sylar. He hasn't re-realized that he has the actually EAT the brain, now has he? - Though we do know now that he has his original power of knowing how things work.
I have to admit, I was a little sad for him when he looked down at his broken watch and said that his name was Gabriel Gray.
What is Uhura's power...? Maybe next week we'll find out.
Adrian Pasdar was fantastic in this episode. He hit everything right on. Lack of Peter? Not so fantastic.

It's about damn time, show.
No Hiro and Peter stories made the show so, so much better and I love those characters. The previews were freaking exciting too. I got excited when Micah's cousin kicked that guy in the face. What a good episode. I'm kind of surprised about the attention Kristen Bell is getting. Don't get me wrong. I love her. I loved Veronica Mars. I'm just shocked that the star of a critically loved but low rated show is getting hyped so much. I'm happy for her.
That said, if I hear a line like "I know you can heal but I don't want you to get hurt" ever again. I'll turn it off. Or not.

- Aw, Mohinder singing to Molly! In Hindi! *ovaries explode* And holy crap! Matt's dad is the guy from Molly's nightmare's! I had a feeling that would be the case when he asked Molly to look for him. Although if Molly dies, I will fucking KILL SOMEONE.
- Maybe Sylar will eat Maya and Miguel's brains and we can leave this irritating storyline behind us. Sylar smells brains, and that pair of brains are really grating on my nerves.

Simply put: Heroes is back.
The last three episodes are nothing compared to the face melting awesomeness of this episode.
We have Gabriel back, Sylar is just a smashed up watch.
We have an evil Papa Parkman.
We have Angela at her semi-dignified psycho best.
We have me saying "I bet she learns how to do the 619" as a joke and then she learns the 619. Monica is the awesomeness of Taskmaster mixed with breasts.
Everything about this episode flowed so much better than the last three. Maybe it was the lack of Peter/Irish Mobs or the lack of Hiro's Wacky Time Travel adventure.
So this breaks the streak of Hiro as a character being in every episode, eh?

I was very expected to see there was no Japan. Considering that it was pretty much ended in the last episode, I was hoping they wouldn't drag it any longer.
Sylar with the Juander Twins does nothing but terrify me. They better sleep with metal helmets on or else Sylar will probably kill them in their sleep. :(
Best part had to be the promo for next week. Kristen Bell.Is.Back. I love it. I watched the promo three times already.

Awesome, awesome episode, far making up for the last two weeks of sluggishness. Even the greenscreening was more on point tonight.
Oh, Matt. Sexy, adorable, stupid Matt. And after I just spent an hour defending you in your thread, too, you lug! Sigh. I totally called the baby being McHenry's, though, even though it is a big continuity error from Five Years Gone.
I was spoiled for Matt's daddy being the Big Bad, but didn't know he was going to turn out to be one of the twelve original Heroes.
Monica's combination appears to be a little bit of Charlie's--eidetic memory--but with a more physical manifestation. Definitely looking forward to seeing more from her.

So Monica's the Taskmaster huh?
Poor Ali Larter's getting the short shift this season.

I also noticed how Petrelli senior was turning in the picture blurred out. perhaps because they didn't want him to be recognised just yet?

Matt pushing Molly forward to find the baddie creeped me OUT! Like, you couldn't just leave it at the apartment building, you've gotta find the number too. Mohinder is soooooooo not cooking for you anymore, buddy. (I did love the Daddy issues fight.)
Monica is awesome. The pole-kick thing was a beautifully staged stunt and the actress has a lot of charisma. Yay!

Aww, MATT! Nice move, buddy. At least you can hear Molly, but that's not going to be pleasant. You just had to push, didn't you?
I totally want Mica's cousin's power. Educational TV is right. She reminds me a little of Charlie (was that her name?), Hiro's waitress girlfriend with the perfect memory. The powers that increase how smart you are are the best....
The Wonder Twins were slightly more interesting with Sylar involved, but this seems like some very bad luck. Has Sylar's chest wound healed? And what are we to make of the reappearance of Gabe's little hissing cockroach buddy?
I don't know what the Nathan beard story was about, but him shaving it because his kids didn't like it was just a little too facile.
Bennett seems really shaken by the painting. Maybe if he just stays away from Claire it won't happen....

Adrian Pasdar was fantastic in this episode. He hit everything right on. Lack of Peter? Not so fantastic.
True, on both counts. Poor Nathan. I really felt for the guy in this episode.
Parkman's a selfish prick. Couldn't he at least try to find his dad the old-fashioned way before making the kid do it? On the other hand, Molly is getting more and more annoying. I feel sorry for Mohinder.

Mohinder, Sylar and Matt were the greatest tonight (Mo and Sy independently brought sexy back). Also? I love Nathan. The writing was much much better this week, and there was no Ireland, which was good, but otherwise, it was a little dull and I missed Kensei. Micah in his own storyline was nice, but I don’t care about Monica.
However, I’m I’m extremely upset with the show. It has officially become the Claire show. UGH.
And EW to that thing in the previews about Kristen Bell!! They had Christopher Eccleston on, they had George Takai on, they’ve added a bazillion new characters, this girl (who honestly, is not the most famous person ever) gets such special treatment? I thought it would be limited to the magazine stuff, but I can’t belice even NBC is doing it.

Loved the episode.
Loved Monica and her story so far. Touching, yet cool. Awesome power, too. And glad to see Micah using his power again. It brings him such joy, even if he's not supposed to.
Maya, Alejandro, y Sylar? Awesome. I liked Maya's and Sylar's interactions.
Claire and West were sweet. I'll give them that.
And, yeah, I really didn't miss Peter or Hiro this week. It made the episode better, sorry to say.

Still hating Sylar. What I don’t really like about this character (just so I don’t sound like I’m spouting out random hate) is that he just seems so one-dimensional. There’s seems to be no (given) reason as to why he is the way he is (by which I mean a murderous pschyo/sociopath). That’s pretty lame in my book…unless I’m just missing something that maybe someone else sees.
And looks like potentially good news for Maya/Alejandro haters…Sylar is probably going to kill them. I feel bad for that other guy he killed (speaking of him, did steal that car from Claire
So there were 12 people in that picture (assuming that they are all…special). Nakamura said only 9 are still alive. Linderman, Deveaux (Simone‘s dad), and papa Petrelli were dead (add Nakamura to that), and now we know papa Parkman is also one of them. Just trying to keep the score straight.
Also kinda glad that the show is using New Orleans in part of the plot. It feels like a lot of people here in the States have forgotten about the Gulf Coast and the reminder is important. Wonder if they’re trying to make some kind of statement or something.
As far as West and Claire, I wouldn’t have been “creeped out” by their exchange except it felt like he was getting information from her for someone else (which on this show would be quite likely). Other than that, it was pretty sweet.

God, I loved this episode!
Monica is awesome. I love Micah's family. But Monica just completely kicks ass... literally.
The second I saw that brick I knew Sylar would be introducing it to someone's head. Hee! Great scenes with the Wonder Twins. Alejandro totally doesn't trust him which does not bode well for his health.
Matt's father is the Nightmare Man... creepy bastard, hurting little Molly like that.
Ha! Claire's sneaking out with her boy... Noah's sneaking out with his. Like father, like daughter.
How did Sylar get away from Lost island?
He wasn't on an island.

I have to say she's the first new hero I really like so far. And her powers almost seem like a combo of Charlie's and Sylar's -- she has intuitive aptitude except, what, only for stuff she sees on TV? I really like her though. It's about time we saw a new hero who was really likable.

re: Monica
It is SUCH a relief to actually have a new character introduced on this show who actually turns out to be cool. This show's record with that isn't so great. Half of her success is a cool power (its kind of a combo of the Diner Girl's power and Sylar's "base" power of being able to figure out how things work), and the other half is that she actually seems to be a pretty good actress. And I think that her presence actually makes Micah more interesting. BIG thumbs up to both the casting agent AND the writers for this one.
Maya Y Alejandro STILL suck. Even with a Sylar boost. Creepy West still sucks too.

The only thing about the revelation re: Matt's dad was that it caused (in this viewer) flashbacks to the "Paper Clip" picture from The X-Files, and since we've already seen the black oil make an appearance, I'm getting the heebie-jeebies about continuity. If someone gets pregnant with a miracle baby, I may run screaming from my tv.

So the Big Bad is Parkman's dad and Parkman just served him Molly on a platter. Not good.
This show so reminds me of how we started last season, everyone in different places and a whole lot of freakin confusion. Not sure I like the New Orleans storyline but the Spanish twins and Sylar should be fun. At least until he gets bored and kills 'em.
Thank you Nathan for shaving the beard and I don't mind you hanging out with the kids but no getting back with the wife okay? Those mirror visions have to be some sort of PTSD or something. Unless he picked up a masking power of some sort and I still think only Peter got the multiple power gene in that family. I want some more explanation of the radioactive visions though.
I hate that Claire and HRG are back in the same place, I'm sad Angela thinks jail is safer and weren't we supposed to find out who the killer was this episode?

OK, I’m usually like that Margaret Cho quote: My ovaries are made of sand. But protective Matt and Mohinder…gah! And when Mohinder started singing, I honestly needed a moment. Or a cigarette.
Plus Simon and Monty made Nathan shave! Not the Petrelli I hoped would be the catalyst for that major even, but damn he looked GOOOD. Loved the longer hair and that more casual suit.
A Det. Parkman who’s on the ball enough to make all these connections and willing to pursue the investigation on his own for the sake of ‘his little girl at home’? Man, I can’t believe I didn’t like his character last season. Once he got away from the Janice beast he got sexy. And the kid isn’t his? Damn, this is the night for big reveals.
Holy fuck!! Parkman’s dad is the uber bad!!! I think my jaw unhinged at that. I know I terrified my housemates I screamed so loud. But I was pissed that Mohinder didn’t react more at the first reveal. Dude, your life partner—I mean roommate just confessed something pretty heavy. Blink or something.
Dueling Daddy issues in the House of M! And then they made out. Wait, that didn’t happen?
Awww, protective feeling guilty Matt. The angst is going to rock on this front. I hope this leads to more intense close whispering moments between the M’s.
Remorseful and terrified Angela. I actually teared up a little at that. And whoever could scare her, is effing terrifying for me. Although, Hee at Nathan. Petrelli judging someone for touching a little too long. Pot. Meet. Kettle.
Sigh. I don’t want to like West and Claire. It’s all so cheesy and cliché and with the flying thing, kind of creepy and incestuous (and not in the usual fun heroes way), but he’s so tall and I’m so very, very easy. Worrying about your feet shooting out of their socket and grossing out your date? Adorable in a deliciously macabre way. But, Claire, you come up with the pretty amazing cover story about the downfall of libraries, but you don’t take any books on your fake library gig? I’m disappointed. Good save w/ the cheerleading.
I like Micah and the NOLA story. Nana’s bad ass, the other cousin freaks me out w/ his ginourmous mouth, but I liked him giving Micah shit like you do to all family. Monica’s cool, sweet w/o being saccharine and the connection of her power to his is neat, but that warm fuzzy moment between cousins was kinda ruined with the way that scene was blocked. Looked like Micah was copping a feel.
Finally, I may loathe the Maya and Alejandro storyline, but I will totally suffer through it for sweaty, dirty wife beater wearing Sylar. But it makes me so sad that he’s Gabriel again and feeling all not special. Is it wrong that I want him to be back to his killing ways so he can be happy again?
