From NBCUMV.com:

On the heels of Jack (Alec Baldwin) realizing that GE head, Don Geiss (Guest Star Rip Torn) may be retiring, Jack's nemesis, Devin, (Guest Star Will Arnett) returns engaged to Don's daughter. Always up for good competition, Jack shows up at a dinner where Devin and Don are and is invited to Don's house that weekend. However, when Kenneth (Jack McBrayer) accidentally lets it slip that Jack recently had a heart attack, Devin feels he can knock Jack out of the race. Meanwhile, Liz (Tina Fey) tries to get her life in order after Jack and Jenna (Jane Krakowski) lay into her about getting it together. Jenna starts to enjoy the fame her fat is bringing her. Kenneth plots to get Tracy (Tracy Morgan) and his wife Angie (Guest Star Sherri Shepherd) back together. Will Arnett, Chris Parnell, Sherri Shepherd and Rip Torn guest star; Judah Friedlander and Kevin Brown also star.

No replies? Everyone must be watching The Office. I thought it was a good ep. I'll have to re-watch to catch all the jokes. Will Arnett still rocks.
jedicaboose
Kenneth should wear the eye-patch more often. Very good episode, though I can't think of any specific quotes off the top of my head.
shockey80te
Kenneth and "Anjy" listening to No Ordinary Love while eating turkey legs??????? If that doesn't make a man move...

Me Want Food... Hillary Want Food.
StaceyRosie
I LOVE that the office furniture brand was "Blerg".

Nice continuity mentioning that guy Garkle who took the job Floyd wanted the last year.

I liked this episode but I missed Pete again :(
Navin
I'm still laughing at Werewolf Bar Mitzvah. good show overall, but that made me laugh out loud more than anything else.
StaceyRosie
Oh God the Werewolf Bar Mitzvah was hilarious.
WhatMeWorry81
I loved last week and felt this week wasn't quite as good as last week, but it was still a good episode. I actually thought the main Jack/Devin plotline wasn't that great, but the fat plotline was hilarious and so was the Tracy/Kenneth plotline.

Best parts: Kenneth seducing Angie, every part of the Liz/Jenna fat plotline, Werewolf Barmitzfah, and the beginning with the steak.
catty31
I really liked some of the quick sight gags in this episode: the aforementioned Blerg, and the Unabomber as one of Dr. Spaceman's celebrity patients both made me laugh out loud. I also loved Liz wearing a one-piece swimsuit instead of underwear. Hilarious because I did that once.
rock lobster
I so want one of those "Me Want Food" shirts. I loved Jenna rubbing her stomach like she was pregnant and the next line out of her mouth is, "I'm keeping it!"

It seemed to go by super fast this week, I was surprised when I saw credits because I thought we had about another ten minutes. Or maybe I'm just used to watching The Office, which seems to go on forever with these hour long episodes. Overall, I thought it was a good episode. Although it probably wasn't as much fun for new viewers who hadn't been introduced to Devin yet.

It's all the same, really, right?

It hought this was much funnier than last week. Will Arnett can show up anytime. Funny to see Amy Poehler in the ads for SNL, showing her "boobs" to Bon Jovi & the Foo Fighters.

Nice to see Chris Parnell again.

The Japanese Porn Star Diet. Eat all the paper you want.

Liz's tooth falling out cracked me up, even with seeing on the previews several times.

And too bad we didn't get to see Kenneth try to kiss "Anjy," throw up, and then cry...On second though, no, I don't think I would have enjoyed that. But damn, Kenneth makes me laugh like no other.

I agree, it seemed to fly by.

I give this show a lot of credit. It seems like this episode and the previous one were a bit different from last season, in that they seem more accesible, and more palatable to the general public. Yet somehow it hasn't been dumbed down at all, and the humor is as rapid-fire as ever.

Oh, and I loved the homoeroticism between Devin and the hot shirtless guy - does Will Arnett do anything that isn't homoerotic?
Aludra
Yeah, I found this one way more entertaining. I had to pause about four times to laugh (and, in one case, try not to choke, which, now that I think about it, was unknowingly foreshadowing) and loved that the Church of Practicology was founded by the alien king that lives inside Stan Lee.

'blėrg' was brilliant. And the return of 'nerds' and 'mind grapes'. What did Dr. Spaceman say to Jenna about her appearance? 'The disgusting range'?

Anjy. Heh. And Grizz! All dressed up! "She called my vanity license plate inscrutable!" I adore Tracy.

I would so go on that diet. Not really, but I can imagine thinking about it.
dejafu
I *loved* the bit about crystal meth with Dr. Spacemen.
Mibbitmaker
I loved the part when the doctor said, "...My father's Dr. Spaceman..." when wanting to be called by his first name. That makes him the George W. Bush/Kim Jong-il of doctors.

Liz was doing what's often done when being overweight is brought up, and the person in question is female: making the body image issue solely about women. This culture cruelly mocks everyone who's fat. I guess it's easy when nobody can (or should) justify getting fat. Of course, the show definately didn't give her a pass on that, that's for sure!

It was hysterical when every time the shirtless guy got all over Devin, instead of complaining he said things that a gay guy would likely say (I'd assume) when happy about it, but turned to 11 for comedic effect.
thuganomics85
Both Devin and Dr. Spaceman in this episode? That's one way to make me love an episode. I defintely love Will Arnett in this role. Watching his face-offs with Jack are usually fun, and his "flirting" with Kenneth, is always hilarious, in a creepy way. And Chris Parnell is hilarious, as well. These two are defintely two of my favorite guest characters, on this show.

But I also loved Jenna/Liz's plot, and Kenneth/Tracy/Tracy's wife story, as well. I'm glad that Tracy and his wife are back together, if for nothing else, means that Grizz and DotCom will be reunited. Aww!

Only complaint was no Peter, Toofer, or Cerie, but I still enjoyed this episode.
HooDoll
"Boys turn into men / men turn into werewolves..." Ha!
Also, Grizz (er... Dotcom?) was actually listening to Sade on his headphones.
What did the license plate say? ICU8-somethin'?
The only thing that bothered me is that Jenna's fat prosthetic doesn't move - it looks like hard plastic, really obvious in the rollerskating skit.
the new mcg
God, Will Arnett is amazing.

Jenna cracked me up tonight. The rollerskating thing actually made me sad, but then she just went full bore into fatty mode. "I'm keeping it!"

Dr. Spacemen! I was so happy to see him.
Shelwood
It's nice that NBC is doing 30 Rock tie-in merchandising. It would be nicer if they waited to start flogging it until after the joke has come up in the episode so it made sense.

Nice seeing Grizz dressed up and Jack dressed down. Was that Dot Com singing the Sade? Not bad. Not perfect, but not bad. And I loved that Tracy imagined a three-way... backrub with "Anjy", K and Grizz.

Is Pete still living with Liz? Where is he? Why isn't he around to mock her attempts at assembling crappy furniture?

I did enjoy all three plots. I'll need to rewatch, as always, to be more specific.
thedude891
One of Dr. Spaceman's celebrity patients is Alf? That's just beyond amazing. The second I heard his name I knew this episodeswould be amazing. It was so funny I needed my inhaler afterward.

Will Arnett is so creepy and gross when trying to seduce Kenneth. The fact that Kenneth is so oblivious makes it that much more hilarious.

And I want to take Werewolf Bar Mitzvah behind the middle school and get it pregnant.
HickoryColt
I love Dr. Spaceman. I wish I had that Crystal Meth pamphlet for my office. And I wish there was some way for Dr. Nick to meet with Dr. Spaceman.

Anyone have a list of the "celebrities" on his office wall? I did notice Alf.
SugarTurbinado
Jack's date in the restaurant ("Manon"?) looked like Brenda Strong. But man, shortest walk-on ever.
heyfizzellas

I noticed Alf and a sketch of the unabomber. I love it when I have to go back and pause to catch jokes, brings me back to the AD days.

To those of you who felt the show was short: When you compare it to the train wreck that is the hour-long Office episodes, then yeah. It's definitely short. To me, the drop-off in funny is pretty noticeable these days during the 9pm transition.

I'm loving the callbacks to Alan Garkel and Blerg furniture. I actually thought that the funniest one-liner tonight was Jack's line about apartheid. Despite that, Werewolf Bar Mitzvah and Tracy's inscrutable license plate definitely drew the most laughs in this apartment.
Ichabod
I saw Kenny Rogers up on the wall too. Don't get that at all. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Freakin' loved Kenneth in this episode. Great stuff. 'This grilled cheese has mayonnaise in it! What?!'
Pinwiz
Werewolf Bar Mitzvahs is going up there with Spider Pig.
Red Panda
I could quote back nearly the entire episode as "the bit I loved," but the thing that made me pause while I shrieked with laughter was Werewolf Barmitzvah. Spooky, scary! I also squealed like a little girl at the callbacks like the blerg furniture and Tracy's mindgrapes.
cko
I'd never seen Will Arnett in this show, and he was hilarious. Loved when Jack introduced him to the wrestler and Will laughs nervously and excitedly, saying "You mean with dudes?" Shades of Arrested Development.

Loved when Jack introduced him to the wrestler and Will laughs nervously and excitedly, saying "You mean with dudes?"

I love Arnett -- in the gay way, of course. His emphatically weird responses to the wrestler's more than friendly tackles were hilarious; I literally stuffed my sleeve in my mouth to deal with volume control.

He and Jack are both freaks, in such wonderfully different ways. They both made me very, very happy.

The license plate: ICU81MI

I see you ate one, am I?

Haha.

My gold record from that novelty party song...

Werewolf Bar Mitzvah
Spooky scary
Boys becoming men
Men becoming wolves

Kenneth looked...good? In that eyepatch? Tousle the hair, open the page jacket, add an eyepatch...instant sexy.

I thought she was going to sell the Ham Napkin online? Even with ham stains, that's still a good $2500 plus s&h, Liz! Don't just wodge it under your flimsy looking desk!

I guess we all know the proper spelling of "blėrg" now.
arc
the Unabomber as one of Dr. Spaceman's celebrity patients both made me laugh out loud.

That was so good and so quick that I immediately rewound... and saw Alf was another of Leo's patients. Also loved the pamphlet "You do the meth!"

Even the little kid at the end had a perfect pause before the slow "o-kay" to Jack's "Can I watch you eat that?".

Total A+.

PA announcement: "Josh to the stage please, for 'Illeana Douglas Talk Show'". ... I'd better stop, nearly every line was quotable.
tenblade
When are we going to see "Illeana Douglas Talk Show" on TGS? I mean, they said it twice. They have to be planning something.

As for Kenny Rogers on Leo's wall (I won't call him Doctor), Kenny Rogers has had extensive, shitty plastic surgery over the last decade or two. But not as bad as ALF's.
ElectraAlan
For those who love Will Arnett on this show, make sure to check out the first season DVD of this show, if only for the extra seduction scenes of Will Arnett and Jack McBrayer together. Hilarious. As Tina Fey said, nothing is any good until you pay for it.

You don't have to buy it, of course, just watch it on Netflix. And if you're not on Netflix, well then that's just sad.
huckerby
"That's where the Olsen twins got separated!"

This episode made me really hungry, with all the steaks and burgers and stuff.

Here's a screen capture of Dr Spaceman's wall with his patient's photos. I couldn't identify anyone except Kenny Rogers and Alf, maybe you guys can help out?
bonnie77

The blonde girl is Ashlee Simpson, and the drawing is of the Unabomber.
Ichabod
The other old dude is Senator Orrin Hatch.
StaceyRosie
The funniest thing to me was the fact that Jack misses meat so much because Alec Baldwin is a vegetarian

Oh and the restaurant scene when Devin says something about "not being able to handle this much meat." and Jack saying, "That's not what I heard."
Rinaldo
his "flirting" with Kenneth

Especially because he now knows that Kenneth was just toying with him last year, on Jack's orders. And yet the mere sight of this mild-mannered page makes him quiver with helpless desire. Wonderful.

The political subtleties with Jenna are the sort of thing that makes the show unique for me, with Liz being all "No no, I did say to embrace your weight but now you're doing it for the wrong reasons, so I don't approve!"

Count me in as another who fell instantly in love with the Blėrg furniture line. Dr. Spaceman, I was already in love with him, and I'm so glad to know who some of his celebrity patients are.
SpchProf
Most of the sight gags I enjoyed have already been mentioned, but my favorite was Jenna's subtle, eating of the paper while talking to Liz. The way she looked as if she was doing something normal cracked me up. And, of course, Liz eating the whole steak in about 30 seconds, because that's probably what I would do too.
Winston Smith
PA announcement: "Josh to the stage please, for 'Illeana Douglas Talk Show'". ... I'd better stop, nearly every line was quotable.

I don't get the joke there. I suppose Josh could do a decent impression, they have similar features, but what am I missing that's actually funny?

Another strong episode. The Jenna weight stuff was my favourite, but I thought that she was underused last year.

Is anyone else not really enjoying all those N Bee C shorts? I don't find them funny.
loseresque
I know that Tracy isn't as well liked as some of the other characters but I found myself cracking up at his storyline the most despite heavy competition with the Jack storyline. The Werewolf Barmitzvah was hysterical, as well as the vanity plates.
secretagentman
Hilarious stuff. I could watch Will Arnet wrestle the whole Yale team. Hot and funny. Baldwin as always, awesome. God I hope this show starts getting some serious ratings, I couldn't handle it being cancelled.
alou73
Jack's date in the restaurant ("Manon"?) looked like Brenda Strong.

I think he said her name was "Maintenant" which is French for "now." Which is awesome.
StaceyRosie
Alec Baldwin looked so hot last night. I love him.
Mrs Snark
I don't really have anything of substance to add, but my ever-burning love for this show.

SUCH an improvement from last week. I never watched Seinfield (or Friends).

The Hoyay was exceptional.

LOL moments:
-The blerg furniture
-the Liz one piece
-Werewolf Bar Mitzvah
- Dotcom singing Sade
- "That's not what I heard"
- the call back about "Garkle"
- The three way massage
- Kenneth to Dotcom "are you even listening to me?"
StaceyRosie
Kenneth to Dotcom "are you even listening to me?"

That was so funny. And that fact that he knew Kenneth's idea before he voiced it.

I can't stop laughing thinking about the Werewolf Bar Mitzvah.
M. Darcy
I think my favorite part was the unibomber on Dr. Spaceman's wall. I am so glad that Chris Parnell is still on this season.

I cannot believe NBC gave away the Me Want Food line. A few minutes before Frank said the line, at the bottom of the screen there was an ad to buy the shirts.
StaceyRosie

He was actually the first one I noticed which is weird. In the second viewing I noticed Ashlee Simpson.
