Manhattan's wealthy are being robbed and all clues point to a fancy vehicle that has Mac and Stella puzzled.

Good to see Flack getting some love.

Anyone know if the technology featured in this episode really exists? CSI: NY is going to become the Techie's CSI.

Did anyone else see a blue spinning cell phone icon in the left corner of the screen when Mac found his lugguge in his office? Does this mean we should call the toll-free number for a clue? Didn't Lost do something like that?

All in all a very cool episode.

Flack in a tux, a wifebeater....mmm, the many flavors of Flack. Though, I do not like his girlfriend. Maybe its because I am jealous she gets to make out with Flack, or I believe she is good enough for him.

Flacktastic! Flackulous!

So much agreement over here. For my part, I think it's mostly, while I want more Flack, I don't want Flack with anyone (but me!). And she just... was all around meh. Forgettable.

This 333 thing has really got me curious. I love these season long mysteries (as long as the reveal is cool. No mind-blowing surprise makes all of the anticipation lame).

Even the looks stella had when she saw flack's girlfriend at her apartment or when she was trying to seduce Flack at the party. Stella was having none of it.

I didn't see the number, but I assume it was for their new Eyecon promotion. You're supposed to get behind-the-scenes material if you call the number, visit the website, etc.

Great episode! It was so entertaining I didn't stop to think how little sense it made, unlike the first two episodes. I hope they plan on making single-case episodes the standard from here on out. It gives all of the team members more of an opportunity to interact with each other, instead of having 2 or 3 interacting with only each other for the whole hour.

I like the actress who plays Devon. She appeared on Veronica Mars last season and I liked her there, too.

Not enough Hawkes for my taste. And no Adam yet again. I wonder when his series regular contract kicks in.

Lots more great D/L moments this week! They are really spoiling us shippers this season.

I agree with the Flactastickness!

Is it bad that I kept thinking (aka hoping) Flack's girlfriend was the accomplice? Poor boy, I suppose he does deserve some love.

A fun episode! How great was the debate Danny and Lindsay had about the Batmobile and a Mach 5?

But; Why didn't Mac look for fingerprints on the lock before he touched it? No, I don't expect a realistic answer to that.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware of this promotion. The number must have been the toll-free number shown on the luggage return tag. I didn't write it down, damn. I suppose they will show it again in the episode on Innertube.

So is Lindsay a full time lab tech now? Does she not go out in the field anymore? I know that the actress was pregnant last year so they lightened her work schedule but she popped that kid out awhile ago. Did I miss an episode that explained why Lindsay never leaves the lab?
Kerry Blue
Lindsay was out of the lab in this episode. Near the beginning she and Danny were out on the street processing the cab and street from Flack's chase. Hawkes might have been with them, too; I can't remember. The scenes were pretty quick, though, so it's no surprise you missed them. They cut from that to Stella in the apartment with Devon and Flack.

It was good to see Mykelti Williams back. I wonder if the leak in the lab is going to be another multiepisode arc, along with the 333 case.

Not just fingerprints...why didn't he check for explosive devices before he just opened it up? (So is anyone else speculating that all the blood on the shirt came from Peyton? Just my wishful thinking? Ok...)

Loved all the Flack this episode! And Danny & Lindsay's debate over the car...hilarious!

Flack had a girlfriend? I didn't notice her at first because all I could see were his shoulders.

I'll take any storyline that has Flack in a wifebeater. Oh, and a tux.

When Mac started to open the suitcase, I thought, "Hm, why does Mac want to get blown up so badly?" I mean, come on, it's a suspicious piece of luggage that you don't know how it got into your office. And you've been getting odd phone calls. So what do you do? Open it up, of course. I love Mac, but that was just unbearably stupid.

I liked the little exchanges between Flack and Hawkes and Flack and Danny about the girlfriend -- the eyebrow raise at Sheldon, and the "Keep walkin', Messer" at Danny.

Other favorite line: "whatever model comes with the special blue fire getaway package."

I, too, enjoyed the exchange between Danny and Lindsay. What a pair of geeks.

I was trying to figure out where I knew her from, then realized she was Heather the stripper from What About Brian.
Mermaid Under
I have to rewatch this one, because it really didn't make a lot of sense. They solved the "A" crime, but they did it in a relatively short space of time. They used some of their time introducing another storyline with the guy I only know as the mean black man, and pushed the 333 case along, so the "A" crime story seemed a little rushed to me.

It was good to see Mykelti Williams back. I wonder if the leak in the lab is going to be another multiepisode arc, along with the 333 case.

The last time I saw that actor, he was a teenager. What a surprise. I have to say my attention span is tiny - these season long arcs rarely pull me in.

“Flack. Don Flack.” Ha!

I was sort of sleeping during parts of this one, so the story seemed a little confusing, but overall I really liked the episode. Sticking to one case just really, really works for me. I feel like it allows for more “little moments” between the characters, which I love.

I’m confused about the black gentleman (I'm sorry, I didn't even catch his name)…he’s the chief of police? Or the mayor or something? Is he connected to the guy who seemed to be out to get Mac last season? I missed the last two or three episodes last spring, so I don’t really know what’s going on with all of that, if it’s a continuing storyline. And speaking of him, what was the point of him dressing down Flack for the high-speed chase? Just “I’m watching (Mac’s) the team and I’ll get you on any technicality that I can?”

I kind of hate Flack’s girlfriend, but really only because she’s…Flack’s girlfriend. She’s fine, actually, although I’ve never pictured Flack with a social-climbing, charity ball-attending, fancy apartment-living kinda gal. But I can handle her, if we see her again…she doesn’t inspire Peyton levels of hate. And, jbreckenridge, thank you for the WAB note…I couldn’t remember who she was, although she was definitely familiar. I must have blocked all WAB memories from my brain!

Yeah, as soon as Mac started to open the suitcase (which, I agree, no checking for bombs, fingerprints, and whatnot? What?!), MrSparkleStick said, “It’s what’s-her-name’s head!” and I said, “That’d be awesome.” Then I said, “Oh, gosh, that’s not right.”

Really happy to find myself looking so forward to Wednesday nights, and really happy with all the good character stuff we’re getting.
Snow Child
SparkleStick - so glad I wasn't the only person who thought Peyton's head was going to be in that suitcase.

Eddie Cahill looked Flacktacular in the tux. Stella was beautiful in that dress.

I taped the episode, so I was able to rewind and get the phone number, it's 1-877-274-0899. I called it and you get a message from Anthony Zuiker. I won't say anything more than that so everyone can discover the rest on your own. :)

The episode was so much fun. There were little things that I could nitpick (there is a barrier near City Hall that Flack can have deployed in seconds?) and I probably will in more detail later, but overall it was a very entertaining hour that didn't have such gaping plot holes or character problems that upset me, so I was just able to focus on the joy of having EC/Flack both half undressed and in a tux in the same episode. That alone would force me to give this episode an A+ even if I didn't like the rest of the episode (which I pretty much did). :)

What was this episode about? All I remember was Flack in a tux and Flack half undressed.

ETA - Oh, and I remember KITT from Knight Rider making an appearance. That's about it.

I, too, enjoyed the exchange between Danny and Lindsay. What a pair of geeks.

I know, that was so geekily romantic. Also, how bout Lindsay's little "Yes! I rock!" moment? Anna Belknap is so adorable. I thought she was gonna do a little dance too but it was still a really cute scene without it. "It's really weird, but I don't care. I still rock." Hee.

Seems I'm the only one drooling over Stella instead of Flack. Goddamn, that dress was hot.

I too thought something connected to Peyton was in the suitcase. I actually thought her whole body had somehow been crammed inside and panicked in advance for what was sure to be a horrible sight. Thank God it wasn't anything that extreme. I actually like Peyton so I don't want her to have such a gruesome end.

I did miss that part, thank you. I was starting to get annoyed at never seeing Lindsay getting out of the lab. I hope that in future episodes she gets some street time that isn't blink and miss.
Casual Viewing
Haven't had time to comment till now, but I really enjoyed this episode.

If it is then you are not alone. That was exactly my reaction to her. Hope he dumps her soon, though if it means more Flack in civilian clothes (or partially clothed) than all is good.

OK, getting back on track here. I loved Lindsay and Danny's scenes in this episode. Such adorable geeks. It was a fascinating look too at what new gadgetry is out there. I learn something new every week from CSI.

The 333 mystery has really got me interested, but I'm with everyone who commented on how stupid it was for Mac to touch the lock (esp. as he'd already verified that the airlines had nothing to do with the recovery of his luggage) and then to open the luggage and to open it by himself (yikes!) I'd have wanted someone around to first of all verify everything that happened and I would have had it checked for explosives and then had the lab open and process it. That was however, my only quibble with the episode.

Well, once I got over Flack (who'm I kidding, that sexy picture has been seared into my brain. Kuddos to whoever reminded me of the "Flack, Don Flack" quote), I did see Stella's amazing dress! I'm always jealous of her amazing hair too, but in that scene I was especially jealous. And I have merely wavy hair, nothing like the springs she's got. Lucky.

Two days later and I STILL think this episode rocked!

Oh I loved this ep!
Flack in sleeveless vest!
Flack in an open white shirt!
Flack in a tuxedo!
Flack in a high speed car chase, twice!
Flack diving out of the way of a car!
"Flack, Don Flack"!
Damn, this is so going to be Eddie Cahill's Emmy submission ep! He totally rocked this episode. The only down thing about the ep was that shallow little twit "Oooh we got robbed, isn't that exciting" yeuch, hopefully that'll be the last we'll see of her.

I loved the bit where Stella is doing out the timeline and Don is hopped up on the table and just laying back in a 'do me now' pose <g>
And Stella feeding him the line to get rid of Devon at the party, hee!
Although I couldn't see any ear piece or anything.

Loved this ep!

OMG, I know! And even the suits he wore actually matched! No weird unmatching tie and shirt combinations. Flack is so awesome. I don't really mind his girlfriend that much, but for some reason she reminds me of Booth's ex-girlfriend Rebecca on Bones.

I missed the first two episodes, so I have to say that I really like Lindsey's haircut. Oh, and I like that they made new credits, but I don't like that the lyrics only kick in during the second half.

It looks like from the middle of season 3 to now, Eddie is getting a little bit of grey hair. It makes him look so much more mature and hotter, he can definitely pull off the salt & pepper look; especially with those blue eyes.

How about next time we have Hawkes, Danny, and Flack all shirtless. I will be dreaming tonight.
John Potts
Yeah, I thought "Shouldn't you get the bomb squad to check that first?" when Mac opened his case, but fortunately no Boom! And I thought the blood might be Peyton's, too (though her head would have been a wonderfully gruesome touch, if a touch Seven-y).

Once I saw the laser "Tyre Shredder" in action, I wondered if the scalping might have been accidental (it was on, the car knocked the accomplice down and then the laser lobotomised him) but I guess not.

I presume the calls are no longer coming in at 3:33 (half the number of the Beast?) since Mac's been in the office when he received the call (and he's not that much of a workaholic) or have they started coming in at 15:33? Or are they still coming in at 3:33 GMT (ie. 3am London time)? It's been bugging me.
Tonberry Cake
As weird as this episode was, I did love it. One of the few great episodes from this season. Fun, entertaining, and heavy on the Flack - plus we got to see Stella in formalwear too. Plus this was one of the few episodes where the whole "O TEH WONDERZ OF MODURN TEKNOLOJEE" thing season 4's been doing didn't grate on me.

This had the Batmobile vs. Mach 5 argument, right? Loved that too. And Lindsay's cute little "I rock" bit.

I'll chime in on the "Dumbass Mac" bit at the end though. Normally, I absolutely love Mac. But that was pretty careless of him. Dude, you got blown up before, why risk that happenig again? Oy, good thing it didn't. And good thing Peyton's head didn't roll out of that suitcase, either. That'd suck. I never cared for Peyton too much, but that'd be a shitty way to write her out (I was surprised that, far as I knew, there was pretty much no involvemment of Peyton in the whole thing at all).
