Talk about the wacky shenanigans the Heroes cast gets up to when they're not acting. Gossip is good for the soul!

Does eating lunch count as a wacky shenanigan? Probably not, but nonetheless, here are some pretty pics of Hayden out and about in LA on Tuesday.

I don't know, adri...I think this one or this one counts more as 'wacky shenanigans' as I'm not quite sure which one of them is about 30 seconds from breaking out into their own rendition of Fame or potentially some classic Saturday Night Fever moves. Hee.
starr_00
Did somebody say wacky shenanigans? This might count... from Ausiello's latest chat:
Question: To help me cope with the fact that Heroes didn't win anything, could you please tell me which Heroes heroine nearly came to blows with a reporter on the red carpet?— Danielle

Ausiello: Man, you guys are asking all the right questions this week. It's almost like you can read my blog mind. Anyway, it was the unbreakable Hayden Panettiere who threatened to "kill" a staffer from Us Weekly over something she wrote about her in a recent issue. (Sources have since confirmed that it was this item that had HP's barely legal panties in a bunch.) Just when it looked like Hayden was about to pull a Sylar on said reporter's skull, her quick-thinking publicist grabbed her and scolded, "Not on the red carpet." It was a classic Hollywood moment — and one I predict will be streaming all over the Internet by week's end.

Whoa. And if true - Hayden kicks ass. Hee!

ETA - Cookie - I edited the link to the story in... it seems it's the one that set off all of the craziness this past week.

Hee! These pictures are slowly taking over TWoP! I never get tired of looking at them.

I don't really read tabloids... what story are they talking about? Is it another one of those Hayden/Milo stories?

It was the story that US magazine ran about Hayden's breakup with her boyfriend, Steven Colleti.
adri278
Since this has a lot to do with the cast when they're not on televison, I'll put a link to Adrian's Youtube account in this thread. He put up two new videos today: Emmy Night and ZQKB.
starr_00
Milo and Hayden's people finally step in.

This must be so weird for them. Do you think they are having conversations like, "So - we're really good friends... but I think we should only interact now either on set or on the phone until this dies down."
That is so weird. I can't imagine having to deal with that with one of my close friends. I feel bad for them (or maybe they are just sitting in their trailers with Jack, Adrian, and Grunny playing guitar hero, and laughing about it all.

The weirdest realization for me with this whole thing - is how much the internet has turned the entire world into a high school hallway. I guess I already knew that was sort of the case, but usually a tabloid or stalkerazzi will break a story, then it will spread to the fandom and general public. But this was backwards... it started when fans (who took pictures on the world tour) started speculating and posting on blogs. Other blogs then picked it up, that then sent the cameras after them, to the point that it has finally reached national media and the actors themselves. In a couple of weeks. I don't know why I find that so freaky.

"So - we're really good friends... but I think we should only interact now either on set or on the phone until this dies down."

I really hope it doesn't impact their friendship and their response is...'We have now officially denied any rumors, so anyone else that wants to misconstrue things and imply otherwise can go fuck themselves.'

I'd hate for them to suddenly become stilted and formal and feel like they can't hug each other or show affection towards each other because the gossip mongers will rub their hands with glee.
perhaps
Well I'm glad that they at least tried to cut it off at the knees, although rumors tend to have that hydra quality and the whole protest repellant effect. It really is an unfortunate bout of gossip, that as all gossip just feeds on itself and takes over the conversation. I notice that the dreaded question even appears in the comments for Adrian's beloved videos yesterday *sigh*. I'm with most of the folks that were talking about this on the media thread that both: it really doesn't matter, nor is anyone's business as long as they are happy regardless as friends or as more, I like them both and wish it wasn't creating a big ol media vortex; and second it would be sad if they (and the rest of the cast) had to start acting stilted around each other due to gossip, I really love how close and friendly and fun they all are. [OMG rowanceleste, get out of my head I just saw your post before I hit send, and also Word on the fuck off sentiment.]

I know that being media wary is a price of being famous, but like some have said I think of how I am with all of my friends, of all ages and genders, and I'd hate it if we couldn't hug or sit on each other laps or crash at each other places and vacation together, etc. Even without any fame element people have an unfortunately narrow view of affectionate displays--I've regularly had people assume (not maliciously or judgy thankfully) that I was coupled up with everyone from my best guy friend to my best girl friend to my DAD (seriously, ew, and once it was even a priest on Easter Sunday on that last one). I'm not even a particularly touchy feely person either--I can't even imagine how standoffish you'd feel if you had paparazzi in your face every second framing everything as scandalously as possible.

The weirdest realization for me with this whole thing - is how much the internet has turned the entire world into a high school hallway.

Totally. And I hated actual highschool hallways, so to see it go mega is distrurbing. In some ways the whole reverse information flow/grassoots gossip was inevitable with data being both so mobile and shareable--it basically turns everyone in the world with a phone into a potential paparazzi.
Shanti70

Isn't that the truth.
Grimoire
Isn't that the truth. This whole thing started with the fangirls/boys after the Homecoming episode. I'll bet the average age of those who ship this couple is 14. (No offense to those 14 year-olds who don't ship them.)

I am always shocked to know that the average age of the fans are usually a lot younger than the age of the celebrities that they ship/worship. Like Britney fans are actually a bunch of 10 years old. Ugh, I really don't want them to get the wrong impression from that kind of celebrities. So yeah, I do believe that the majority of their shippers are teens.

I think it's a good thing for them to stay away from each other because at this point, all it takes is for one picture to start the rumour all over again or even make it worse. They'd just be labeled liar and hiding behind their publicist if they got caught in compromising position again.

Edited to add: MSN couldn't resist to add the last jab on Milo's credibility with this quote though:

As for Ventimiglia, when the paper asked what he found "attractive" about the actress, he quipped, "Ask me Aug. 21 [Panettiere's 18th birthday], and I'll tell you a zillion things."

It makes him sound like he's a lolicon who's been waiting for the right age to pounce on her.
Shangrila72
Or it could be that he didn't find it appropriate to be commenting on a U-18 girl's attractiveness until she was of age.
Kait1987
If they are dating, then good for them. I hope they're happy. If they're not...then that's great too. Besides, I truly believe that if he were dating Hayden, they would be much more private about it. He dated Alexis Bledel for a long while before anyone ever knew about those two.

I have to laugh at a video I saw posted on youtube, of Hayden on the bus with "the boys" in Paris. It was supposted to be all about Milo and Hayden and how it was "so cute" that Hayden was playing with Milo's hair. She was actually spiking up Jack's hair after he took his hat off. Are people going to start rumors about them next? It's clear to me that the cast (especially Milo, Hayden, Adrian, and Jack) are especially touchy-feely with one another.

I find it freaky, too. And it's been making me feel guilty and miserable about my world tour media posts, which is why I locked them. I really honestly wouldn't have put up those pictures if I'd known things would end up like this.

To be fair, some of the most rabbid shippers I've run into in the Gilmore Girls world and shipped the actors as well as the characters, were middle aged women.

Me too. They're often scarier than the tweenies.

As for Ventimiglia, when the paper asked what he found "attractive" about the actress, he quipped, "Ask me Aug. 21 [Panettiere's 18th birthday], and I'll tell you a zillion things."

Good lord. What was he supposed to say? There's really no right answer to that question that couldn't be twisted to mean something it didn't, one way or another. *headdesk*

I just believe this whole Milo/Hayden thing is so unnecessary. I like both actors and it's sad that they have to alter their daily life (if they in fact will) to quiet down rumors. There's going to be a point where actors will totally shut down in order to avoid situations like this, then the rumors will be about who the biggest "asshole" is.

I'm utterly anti Paire, which is a moot point because they're family. But they're fake people so I guess shipping is fair game. But Milo and Hayden are real and it's just out of control. They have been so classy in not saying, "mind your own effin' business" like other people would have by now.

I don't follow the Heroes cast outside the show, unless they're attending an Awards Show because I always watch those. But seriously, I'm bewildered about what's going on with those two and some other people in other shows as well.

Not to mention that wildly shipping real people is creepy, especially when they're not even together and they've said so more than once. Also, if they're together, then cool, I hope they're happy. Otherwise, I’m so very sorry, I just don't get the obsession. It's their life. So unless Milo is dating is me, I don’t care.

On a different topic, I was pleased to learn that Hayden has normal-sized dogs, not fashion accessory-sized ones. No offense to Mr. Muggles.
Menouthis
Honestly, who cares what Hayden and Milo do in their private life? She's legal...he's not ancient.

See, that kind of comment is the thing that perpetuates this rumor in the first place. Many people obviously care because otherwise the whole incident wouldn't exist in the first place. They are celebrities, who are seen by many people, many of whom are teens who want it to happen, which makes it all the more creepy.

Any 30 year old should know better than to go after 18 year old. Not when there are many attractive female of his own age. This just creates myth that men are only looking for younger-looking female. Then women will try to be more of a 'girl' instead of a woman because of this image.

This is why I hope this entire thing is just a rumor.

If you let your dogs pee on paparazzi that are lurking in the bushes...is that considered 'assault'?

I'm not a Paire, but I do recognize their amazing chemistry as characters (thanks to the wonderful performances of the actors.)

Thanks, starr_00. But this has kind of robbed me of some of my fandom squee. I can't believe people have been so ready and eager to vilify a cast that's been nothing but awesome since day one.

Ugh, tell me about it. It's creepy to see people making shrines, websites, etc for actors who are not even in a relationship. They then use manipulated pictures/icons to suggest that the two are in a relationship, etc.

BWAHAHAHA. I've seen snippets of it (ie. "You leave Britney alone or I'll......") but I haven't seen the full video of it. I'd love to if anyone can point it to me. It's like a good example of a fan having a meltdown.

They what? That's beyond obsessed.

And to lighten the mood; Beeman's Blog has been updated. It's already been posted in the media thread, but I thought I'd bring it over since he's posted a lot of adorable cast pictures in it. I especially love the one of Milo and Zachary at Comic Con.

There is some minor spoilers for season 2, just to be safe.

Just type "Leave Britney Alone!" on YouTube search engine :)

I think I stumbled upon some videos about fans that obsesses with Milo and Zachary, but not in a capacity of Britney's fans. I don't remember the link.

Here's a clip from the cast's new EW photoshoot. It's hilarious. I love all the stuff with Zach and Kristen, and that small moment where Milo goes over to Zach and tries to pick him up or something and Zach acts all scared. Hee! Where's Sendhil? And Hayden? And... Grunny? I didn't even notice they were missing until this very moment.
angeler
Thank you, Cookie! Great vid, I love it. My favorite part is when Zach tripped ;)

Hee! Where's Sendhil? And Hayden? And... Grunny? I didn't even notice they were missing until this very moment.

When David was talking about Greg, I thought, "hey, shouldn't he be popping into the frame right about now?" I guess they all had other stuff to do...

I think that was the best interview I've ever seen! I loved all the Zach/Kristen moments, the Zach/Milo and the Adrian/Milo moments...Adrian's hair was taking on a life of its own in the first shot! I also didn't catch that Milo and Adrian impersonated each other until I watched it a second time. Poor Zach can't do a full-on Vulcan handshake though?? That boy is going to need to practice before he starts doing promotions for Star Trek, otherwise small children are going to make fun of him and he's going to have to threaten to eat their braaiins. Dana and Dania are both absolutely gorgeous, but I do have to admit the amount of "like's" were getting to me a little. Hee. If they started twirling their hair, I would have wanted Sylar to go over and eat their braaiins right then and there. David Anders was great as well and he's definitely got that boyish charm thing going, which is why I loved him on Alias. I can just imagine Grunny explaining Claire's scene to him.
Irvys Sefie
Best. Vid. Ever! Could they be any cuter? I mean, from what little Alias I'd seen I'd always liked Sark, but I knew next to nothing about David Anders as a person, and so far from what I've seen I can only love him more. I'm glad to be seeing more stuff with Monica and Alejandro in them too.

I would like to emphasize that it's okay to talk about your own reactions to news. It is not okay to tell other people that their reactions are not acceptable.

For some reason, I get a huge squee when Zach says "Sorry I interrupted" after he pretends to be Kristen's thoughts.

More Milo/Hayden coverage.

This is a video of them dancing at some EMMY party. And they're pretty touchy-feely. Just sayin'.

Not a fan of the little commentary that's all over that video. They sure are adding fuel to the fire.

Oh geez, they're just dancing and taking pictures of themselves and the band. Friends do that. I don't see why the media is making such a big deal out of it. It really frustrates me that whenever a male and a female in Hollywood are friends, the media always has to go and make something else out of it. As if two people of the opposite sex can't be friends without there being something sexual going on between them. It's ridiculous.
perhaps
Man, I draw no deductions from that video--if my behavior on a dance floor were taken literally and seriously over the course of my life I'd be in trouble, I consider the dance floor a DCOL or stays-in-Vegas type situation. I can't get over how junior high that video's innuendos are though--kind of trapper keeper gossip if you will. I really love that they are getting down to Girls on Film though, that's awesome.
OptimisticCynic

I'm just being honest myself, but if this were Ali and Milo I wouldn't have issue - I would just think they were two flirty friends and I wouldn't really care. But the age difference skeeves me out with these two - and Milo allowing her grind up onto him ( or at least how this appears) is just irresponsible in regards to both of their reputations. The age difference between them with HER AGE (18) just seems too big. If she were 22, I don't think it would be such an issue. Nor if he were 24. But he's 30 and she's 18 - and just puts into question how long they've been acting like this.
MissMoneyBags
I dunno. Even ignoring the editing, my honest opinion is that Hayden and Milo looked pretty into each other. I'm not trying to stir things up, but... I keep trying to imagine what my reaction would be if that were Coleman or Grunberg in Milo's place, or if it were one of the married guys dancing with Ali Larter like that. Would that seem above the level? I'm honestly not sure. It could very well mean nothing and I keep an open mind, but I don't think people are crazy for thinking something's up.

And hey, you know, even though I can see where that video would raise a few eyebrows... I mean they're single and they're technically both adults, and we don't live in Saudi Arabia, so it's their right to dance in public. Whatever it may or may not mean. And I really do agree the media fuss over it is just laughably stupid.

Finally, if by some chance it DOES turn out they're doing it, that's really not such a horrible scandal as far as TV shows go. One word: Chokegate.
pipo
What I don't understand is: both of them have been in the business long enough, they are both media pros and should have known what this looks like and how fast the media would jump on that. Hayden turns 18, splits with her long-time boyfriend after touring Europe with Milo & Co. and then both oft them act very flirty on a renowned public event with tons of media present. I love how affectionate the entire cast is and don't think that good friends should have to censor themselves. The media and gossip frenzy also made me feel sorry for them (and the other cast members for that matter) but the timing was very unfortunate and they should have seen this coming – even if they are just friends.

If it turns out that they are dating, I agree with OptimisticCynic about the age issue.
coffeenow
Well, since I dated a much older guy when I was about 19, I am probably biased. I can say however, that - let's just call him mr. tea - mr. tea and I had an equivalent age difference (a little over 10 years) and no one that we knew seemed skeeved out that we were dating. My parents liked him and nobody implied that there was anything pervy about the relationship. I find romantic relationships creepy in certain contexts (professor/student, boss/employee), but I find it hard to make judgments across the board when it comes to age differences, as long as all parties are legal and willing (and not related).

I still don't think Halo are a couple, though I do think that Milo and Hayden and probably quite a few other members of the cast have crushes on each other (that's why the HoYay is so awesome with them). And as far as touchy-feely actions go, I think Milo has been less hands-on with Hayden than other older cast members, such as Jack and Adrian. I remember seeing a pick of Adrian tickling Hayden and kind of inadvertantly flashing the cameras a lot of her cleavage and in some of the pre-emmy party pics, Jack has his arms wrapped around her. The cast is clearly touchy feely in general and, for whatever reason, Hayden's age didn't seem to deter any of them from being openly affectionate. I'm not trying to pick a fight with anyone skeeved out by the dancing footage, I'm just pointing out that the footage shows mild physical contact in the context of how comfortable this cast seems to be with each other physically. They kind of remind me of my high school theater troupe. So much cuddling and touching. It sometimes freaked out the grown-ups, but, in almost every case, there wasn't anything going on.
bonnie77
I was convinced that the dance-floor stuff was just harmless UNTIL Hayden reached behind her and oh-so-softly and seductively ran her hand along Milo's neck. That's incredibly intimate. Now I don't know what to think. Milo really should know better. I'm the same age as him and can't even imagine hanging around with an 18 year old, much less dating one.
NotThatInnocent
It would not suprise me if they are dating but they wouldn't admit to it for awhile.
rowanceleste
Ehhh, so they flirt. I do think they'd be more circumspect, due to the amount of paparazzi flocking around them like sharks, but they're not doing anything wrong, but yes, they are fanning the flames. I still don't think they're dating at all, plus since that was apparently post-Emmy's, that's from the same night as most of the rumors.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are a little more circumspect now, since the predators smell chum in the water. I really don't think they're dating and I don't have issue if they are realistically. I do think even though they're in the same business and Hayden is probably a lot more mature for her age than other 18 yr olds, in general, eighteen year olds and thirty year olds are at vastly different places with what they want out of life, etc. To my knowledge, Hayden still lives at home with her parents, right? So she may be allowed to work 15-16 hour days now, but she probably hasn't lived on her own, although she seems a lot more grounded than people of Paris Hilton's and Lindsay Lohan's ilk.
bm232

That's pretty much my opinion exactly.
Bara
It could be that they're just imitating Britney's awful dance with her backup dancer at VMA. As for the touchy-feely part, well, this cast is known for their inappropriate touching. Having said that, he hangs around her too much to be considered just friends. That kind of creeps me out a little bit for reasons that everyone else has pointed out.
bm232
I wouldn't be surprised if they edited the hell out of that clip to make it look more suggestive. Just saying.

I would be surprised if they didn't edit the hell of the clip to make it look a hundred times more suggestive than it was in reality.

What's interesting is to compare Milo's behavior off screen now at age 30 with Hayden at a barely 18, with a couple of years ago when he was an on screen love interest with Brittany Snow, then at age 27-28 to Brittany's 18-19.

It's funny because Milo was more appropriate with Brittany off screen and they were playing love interests and he was only 9-10 years older. They always seemed extremely professional.

Obviously Brittany and Hayden are entirely different people and Heroes an entirely different set - increased media coverage, etc. But for someone who was also an American Dreams fan it's just really interesting to compare. On AD I always felt a sense of boundary from Milo due to the age difference then, which seems to be nonexistent with Hayden. And Milo's known Hayden for over a year, before she was 18, which is kind of the ick factor for me. Its not just her age, but he met her when she wasn't even done with high school yet.
