There's quite a bit of creative formatting and punctuation in this forum. I've been editing posts in the episode thread, but there's enough of it that I decided an announcement was probably a more efficient way to handle the situation. Here are a few notes from the FAQ:

I know this is the Bachelor forum/section in TWoP, so I was wondering what this meant for the new Bachelorette season starting in a week and a half. Will it be weecapped? Will we be able to discuss it in this forum, make threads for episodes, etc.., or will we need to create a thread in the Competitive Reality forum?

Please tell me how to get to the Media Page. Matt Grant and Shayne will be on the ELLEN show today and one of the posters mentioned that discussion of the show will be on the Media Page. Thanks

GENERALIZATIONS:

Generalizations about one sex or the other have the potential to stir up problems in a forum such as this, because they can put people on the defensive. Please refrain from making them when possible. I know it's difficult to avoid them completely when discusing a dating show, so I'll only issue notes or warnings when I feel a post crosses a line. Discussing the specific people on the show, rather than 'men' and 'women', is probably the best way to avoid leaning on stereotypes.

While I'm on this topic, a couple of episodes ago, an awful lot of Greek/Greek-American stereotypes were being bandied about, while speculatating about Deanna's family. They seemed to me (and I'm not Greek) more mean-spirited than the male/female generalizations I've been picking up this week. Ethnic stereotyping is out of bounds here. Again, discussing the specific people on the show, and the directly observable data we have about them, is probably the best way to avoid leaning on stereotypes.

Why is it that we don't have a Meet Market? There used to be one way back when before the whole forum was closed for a while. Is there just no interest for a new one? Or were there problems with the last one that prevents us from having one now?

There's still a Meet Market, and it's still open; it's just back on page three of General Gabbery, because it hasn't been used in a while. Here you go.

Need clarification on the spoiler tag issue. In one of the threads (the media one, I think) a poster was asked by another poster to spoiler tag their comment on a video clip from the finale that was access on the GMA website. Are videos on an ABC site "first party promos" that aren't spoilers, or should they be tagged?

I addressed that in thread, but I'll do it here, too. First party promotional materials (and clips fall under this) are not spoilers. Also, information broken in the mainstream media (that segment aired on GMA today, and GMA is pretty mainstream) aren't spoilers, so not, it wasn't a spoiler.

Announcement thread/Mod thread combo: As you may have noticed, I've just combined the announcement thread and the Ask the Mod thread into this one thread. I figured it would be easier for everyone to follow. This is the place where you can ask questions about the boards, and it's also where I'll make announcements. Please keep up with it.

New Sub-forums: I just put in a request to expand this forum so that we can have a section for whimsy and a section for past season discussion. I'll let you know the decision as soon as I hear.
