Heidi tries to fit into her new job. Meanwhile Lauren has to decide if she will give Jason another chance.
I'm guessing no, on both counts.

Haha... Elodie totally told Heidi off. Must. Stop. Laughing.
She did make some good points, clearly it's not some imagined situation if almost everyone is on the outs with her.
I also guffawed when Jason scoffed at the idea of getting hurt by Spencer.

Heidi fails to understand the main concept about why Lauren would be friends with Jason again. Jason was an addict and whatever he did to Lauren was done privately. The whole world still doesn’t know exactly what happened between them, so all the ill will was private.
Heidi and Spencer chose to spread a nasty, false rumour for the world to see and hear. Obviously, she’s not going to want to hear from you Braintrust! And notice that Heidi seems to be adopting Spencer’s mannerisms more and more.
Loved Elodie calling her on her bullshit! The look on her face was so very awesome!

O. M. Geeeee! Elodie is like my neww BFF for that one. I almost fell off the couch when she said, "I gotta get back to work now, so see ya." Too fricken funny.
And Heidi is waaaay past delusional. Feeling the waters my ass.

I love Elodie, love her. She told it like it is. How sad, Heidi was friends with all the girls and now she's not. How telling.

OH MAN. I liked this episode a lot. There was barely any Audrina/JustinBobby, and I totally loled when Heidi was telling her "assistant" which important calls to forward directly to her office. Ugh. I don't even think MTV is bothering to try making her job look real anymore.
Jason is so entertaining now that he can form complete sentences.

Elodie is my new hero. She and Lo simply must get their own show. She made a logical, rational argument and Heidi had no response....made Heidi realize that she (Heidi) is the common denominator for all the friendships that have gone bad.

The best part, for me, was Heidi genuinely thinking that Elodie would side with her. You could see Heidi's face fall as the words that came out of Elodie's mouth began to register in Heidi's brain. That was too good.

Why do I get sucked into this show every time it comes on?
I really shouldn't care about Heidi's troubles, but I have to admit I enjoyed seeing Elodie telling her off at the end. Is it wrong to hope she totally screws up her first assignment?
Jason brings the pretty but as soon as he did that head-bobbing thing at Ketchup and tried to converse with LC, I remembered why I didn't like him: Stoo-pid.

Heidi is so dense... andher comparing herself to Jason - for one thing, Jason APOLOGIZED - he seems to KNOW he did stuff wrong. He also, since getting sober, seems to have tried to fix things with Lauren by seeking her out and being nice to her - something Heidi hasn't really done much of at all (besides the letter in the beginning, maybe). Also I don't think Jason ever bad mouthed Lauren in the media... and Jason doesn't blame other people for things that he obviously did.
Loved Heidi's interactions with the intern - wow not professional at all. The thing with her cell phone - the look on the intern's face was priceless!

I was clapping out loud. But the previews were brutal and confusing. There must be some bizarre editing. Why is Jason spending all this time with LC and getting engaged days later??? Just when he seemed to be truly on the mend and normal?

The look on Heidi's face when Elodie told her off was priceless. I almost fell out of my chair with my fistpumps. Speidi are the most classless, self absorbed people I have ever seen.
I'm still adjusting to talking, coherant Jasn. What a difference and it's nice that he's smiling. I'm glad that he and Lauren are able to be friends again. Hopefully he stays sober and clean.
I'm glad there wasn't an abundance of Audrina and Justin-Bobby on the show today.

Elodie and Heidi's conversation at the end was really weird. I felt like the looks of confusion on Heidi's face seemed out of place and...confusing. Way over edited. And then at the end when her and Spencer were at the diner, when she said something like "Elodie just needs to get over it and understand that I wanna move ahead in my career, too", it sounded totally fake, almost like her voice was dubbed or something. I know this show isn't 100% real, but come on, they can do better than that.

So much bad editing...my head hurts. What's up with all the dubbed lines? And Lauren seriously doesn't know about Katja by this point? I can't tell if it's the editing or if Lauren really believed there was a chance she and JWahl were getting back together.
PLUS, from next week's teaser, they're already up to the engagement? That just happened two weeks ago!

Heidi would make an excellent History teach for some kind of a cult or sect - she is wonderful at revision. So, she was just trying to be nice and break the ice with Lauren and Jason and send them some drinks, her explanation to Elodie, vs. the reality of them being catty and bitchy? She must really cross her fingers and hope no one remembers that she's on a television show.

Jason looks great and all but he is being shady. It's clear that Lauren has no idea he has a girlfriend at this point. He's calling her constantly and arranging friendly "dates". I think he wants to have his cake and eat it too. He's trying to keep Lauren from moving on by keeping himself on her mind.
Heidi was so ridiculous with her assistant. I would have shoved that phone up her ass.

One of my favorite parts of the show is seeing Spencer doing absolutely nothing in every shot. What does he do? School? Job? It looks like absolutely nothing. He really needs to stop with those facial expressions, it reminds me of Jim Carey doing Ace Ventura.
Elodie rocks! I want to see the aftershow, but I can't for some reason...I loved Heidi's look of confusion.

While I agree that the show is overedited and stilted, I can only imagine how difficult it is to cobble a coherent storyline together with people who mostly seem to look at each other and say "Yeah I know". Pause. Crickets chirping. Not the most articulate bunch. Lo, Whitney and LC seem many IQ points ahead of their peers but the bar is pretty low.

Lauren and Jason are too cute. I loved how Jason told Lauren "nice purse." Elodie ain't having it.

Heidi could not have sounded any more condescending when she was giving the assistant instructions on programming the phones. Sorry Heidi, no one in that office is dumber than you are. And it must be weird for the assistant that boss Heidi is the same age as her.
I can't believe they didn't mention Jason's girlfriend once. Maybe they were trying to edit it to look romantic, but then he up and proposes in the next episode. Come on MTV, I KNOW Jason and Lauren talked about the girlfriend at least once.
It's really weird that we're catching up to realtime. I'm not sure if I like it this way or not. It seems rushed instead of planned.

How does Lauren not know about Jason's girlfriend? You know she reads the gossip mags/blogs like it's her job. Either she's a far better actress than we give her credit for, or homegirl was seriously hoping she and Jason were getting back together. Not only was she giving him the googly eyes, but her comments to Audrina & Whitney alluded to that as well. Didn't any of them know about Katja? I know I did.
This show's getting horrible with the dubbed lines. I can deal with the scripted drama, but at least get them to read the fucking script right during the actual scene!
Oh, and so much for Speidi appearing in only the first few episodes. I'm glad I wasn't holding my breath waiting for them to disappear or anything...

That was fantastic. Elodie really made it all worthwhile! So good to see someone call Heidi on her crap. Also, good for Lauren for not sinking to their level.
I enjoyed seeing Lisa Love - I didn't realize how much I'd missed her until she showed up. Looking forward to seeing the Marc by Marc show.
Man, that was the best interaction between Jason and Lauren I've ever seen. The bit about "You should do that when you meet people" and "Nice purse" comments were pretty entertaining. And next week, MTV editing strikes again!

I literally screamed out loud after the Elodie smack down. Oh that was a long time coming. Maybe Elodie had already found another job at this point and was just like "fuck it, I'm going to tell this bitch off." You could tell how shocked Heidi was that it wasn't the usual gripe fest where she professes how innocent and wonderful she is and she can't possibly understand why Lauren hates her, while Elodie nods sympathetically. Wonderful.
I don't get Jason. Yeah he was nice and cool this episode. I loved the fact that he called Spencer "big mouth". I loved that he got all insulted that Lauren insinuated that Spencer might hurt him. But, then again, he's totally sending Lauren mixed signals. To me, if I had not known that he had a gf at this time, I would have totally thought he was trying to get back with Lauren. How many times did he call to set up a date? And looking at apartments together? Setting up sober time? It even seemed that he was going to kiss her when she dropped her off from dinner. And super shady that he proposes to his little jail bait right in front of her next week. With cameras right there of course.
Jason is being pretty manipulative with Lauren at this point, which I think is kinda unfair, both to Lauren and his teenage bride.

Wow, I kinda adore Sober Jason. When he and Lauren were talking and cracking up at the end, I could finally see why they ever got together.
Lauren cracking that she hated even breathing air near Spencer got a laugh from me. She's kinda funny...but she's no Lo.
Seriously, Heidi has to be the dumbest person alive. Um, the reason Lauren has forgiven Jason is that he's apologetic. Not Heidi...she and Spencer...well, they are sorry all right. Sorry pathetic ass wastes of space.
How does Lauren not know about Jason's girlfriend? .

Jason met Katja before rehab. From the show it looks like he called Lauren right out of rehab and started lunching and dining with her. When Lauren mentioned being his sober friend that would have been a good time to tell her I have a girlfriend. From the next episode it looks like Lauren found out for the first time he had a girlfriend.
If I was Jason's fiancee I would not be happy watching him chill with his ex.
