I had to give Dennis some love, I really think the Dennis arc of episodes is where 30 Rock hit it's stride, and Dean Winters was 'effin hilarious and completely robbed of a guest Emmy. He *knew* she was 22!
Ack, I forgot the y!

My favorite things about Dennis is that he's allergic to all fish that isn't fried (except all allergies are mental, when Liz has them).

I came to the show because of 'Dennis' and he didn't disappoint. The break-up speech is classic, especially the one-handed "women's lib" air quote.

I've loved Dean Winters since his days in OZ. I saw him on 30 Rock and was hooked. He was so sweet having that cheeseburger for Liz! Hoping to see him in the new season.

Before Oz, he guest-starred twice on Homicide: Life on the Street. I always liked him, too, and was pleased to see him excel at comedy as well as drama.

I think Dennis' last name is Duffy.

Dennis should have some sort of recurring arc each season. I dont know how, but he just should.

He can just always be the only one who remembers Liz's birthday every year.

And thinks to have a cheeseburger ready for her when she stumbles through her apartment door bone-tired.
You know, the more I think about Dennis, the more I think that he's the best version I've ever seen on TV of the unsuitable boyfriend who all your friends tell you to break up with, and you know they're right, and eventually you do break up with him, but... there are these occasional moments that nobody else sees when you're happy to have him around. Not that those make up for everything else, but it's a better-balanced picture than we usually get of that kind of guy.
And his goodbye speech will always remain one of the Awesome Television Speeches Of All Time.

"You have chosen to abort me." Heee.
I am so on-board with him doing a small arc/appearance every year. Deans's hot and he's funny.

I love the letter. And the way he read it made it that much better.
I also love the story about hiding his feet from his cousin's dog because he won't lick them. I hope we see Dennis again.

I know Floyd is the nicer guy and Dennis is probably no good for Liz, but I can't help it. I love everything about him and I miss him.
He had this loveable, weirdly sweet douchebaggery about him that provided so much entertainment and comedic potential.
Before watching "30 Rock" I had never even heard of Dean Winters, but he was so amazingly funny, and he definitely helped my love for the show grow. His delivery of "MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE" slays me every time.
And hello?
This letter is inspired, awful, extremely offensive, tasteless, hilarious, and sweet all at the same time:
Dear Liz Lemon,
While other women have bigger boobs than you, no woman has as big a heart. When I saw you getting ready to go out and get nailed by a bunch of guys last night, I knew for sure it was over between us. And for the first time since the '86 World Series, I cried. I cried like a big dumb homo. And if it was up to me, we would be together forever. But there's a new thing called "women's liberation" which gives you women the right to choose and you have chosen to abort me, and that I must live with it. So tonight when you arrive home, I will be gone. I officially renounce my squatter's rights. I'll always love you. Goodbye and good luck. I'll never forget you."
*Sniff* Good times, good times.
Come back, Dennis!

Whenever I see that "What am I, a farmer?" clip, I also think of: "Hey, 007, can we get some rolls over here?"
And Dean was terrific as Ryan O'Reilly on Oz. "Parole violation!!"

Does anyone know when Dean/Dennis/Ryan is coming back to 30 Rock?

When Liz came to the realization that Dennis is the rat king I almost cracked my skull on my coffee table from falling over laughing. The moment was crafted so well, it was perfection.
Dennis is an especially humorous character if you are familiar with his guest spot on Sex and the City as Carrie's "fuck buddy". Carrie attempts to date him outright and he gives her a phone card as a gift on their date at the sushi restaurant. He also declines to order sushi and asks for (if I remember correctly) chicken terryaki, "well done", as well as some sake, "Hey, sake it to me [snorting laughter]."

"I knew she had to be 18 - she said her last boyfriend was Asian and that stuff doesn't start until college."
Wow. Just wow.
I actually squealed like a fangirl when Dennis showed up again. I know he is kind of an asshole, a horrible boyfriend, and so so so wrong for Liz on so many levels, but I completely, hopelessly heart him as a character. He completely cracks my ish up.
I LOVED so much about "Subway Hero" and he was fanfuckingtastic. Dean Winters is completely awesome in the role, and I REALLY hope the show finds some more ways to bring Dennis back because he's a keeper.

In the "Cooter" episode, Dennis says he's been hanging out at Liz's apartment during the day because he told his mom that he got a job. Can we infer that Dennis is living at home with his mom?

"That's the exact same phonecall all of my sisters got junior year of high school. You're pregnant! You're gonna give birth to it at the same hospital in Coney Island where I was born!"
I love Dennis, and it's probably because he looks and acts so much like my freshman roommate, but I say that in completely platonic terms.

I love Dennis so much, even when he's being a douchebag (in fact, especially when he's being a douchebag). This may or may not be because I'm related to diluted versions of Dennis.
I just about died of laughter when he insisted on the porkpie hat. Hee.
I hope the writers have occasion to bring Dean Winters back. I've had a crush on him since the Ryan O'Reilly days (on Oz), and he is so, so perfect for Dennis.

Dennis is just the right mix of arrogance, warped sincerity, and mind-blowing obliviousness, and Dean Winters plays him perfectly. I really doubt anyone else would have been able to breathe as much life into the character, and the combination of how well-written the character is and how awesome Dean Winters is makes Dennis a face I'm always happy to see on the show.

Dennis Duffy is just behind Jack Donaghy as the main reason to watch '30 Rock'. He is so fucking funny that it's not even funny.
"We're like Ross and Rachel... only not gay!"
I hope he comes back this season. Don't care for Floyd.
