dammit, gizzy is back!

I'm not feeling "NewMeredith" (Lexie) and how they are trying to put her into parallel situations as Meredith in the last few seasons. Her looking at the babies with George? The "stop whining" speech? The whole bit at the end with Lexie telling the interns that George delivered a baby? All of that is so Meredith. I like the one I've grown to love over the last 3 years, I don't need another. Ok? Thanks.

Otherwise, I liked it a lot. It's about time that Derek finally "got" why Meredith is so fucked up (and yes, I know she needs therapy). Him chewing out Mark for talking badly about Meredith and the reasons why she's damaged showed some growth on his part. Now it's Meredith's turn. But so much Yay for break up sex!

Gizzie needs to burn in hell.

That sucked! Oh my gosh. There are SO many ways that sucked. Gorge did nothing but mope, BAILEY did nothing but mope, Addison is gone, Izzie and the DEER, and so, so, so many interns. Bleh. That just...there are no words. I am just...no.

I'm all for the breakup sex. More breakup sex, I say.

Wow. They hit all the notes people here feared they would.

I am now all for alex and callie, just to get back at the disgusting thing that is gizzie.

The whole breakup sex was so unromantic. It was so sweet when they were kissing, and then they ruined it.

Was it just me or did everyone just look tired in this episode?

Wait. I kind of missed half the episode because everyone was WHISPERING THE WHOLE DAMN TIME.

I'm sorry, I have no soul, and started laughing hysterically during all of the deep moments involving the deer. The deer incident is not that far off from The OC parody they did of Grey's with a man impaled on a unicorn.

So, why does Shonda hate Callie?

We go from Callie being KICK-ASS, like in the episode where she assisted in 3 surgeries at once and kicked ass all over Seattle Grace, and was so confident and awesome in her pursuit of George (when they first met at least, she did get a bit pathetic later), and now she's pouting all over the hospital and getting called out by her own interns, and ohmygod I wanted to punch Izzie in her BITCH effing FACE when she smirked when Callie asked Bailey how she got respect.

"I'm Lexie Gray ... your sister." There's a kick in the head to get the season started.


So how long can an arm be separated from a body and still be reattached?

Great, it hit all the right notes.

Except for the fact that George is going to have an affair. That's not a good plot point concerning George or Izzie.

I kept switching back to watch CSI, I should have just sticked to watching CSI.

Um. Bullshit.

Again I'm shown why I can't ever EVER back MerDer. They break up and then fuck. Dandy.

I really miss Addie.

They need some way for a few of the interns to stand out, (besides Lexi) otherwise they are just background.

I loved the scene towards the end with Alex and Cristina. Sweet, but not too sappy.

George doesn't love her. Nope. I am not believing that.

Deer? I have no words.

Well, so much for the not-breakup. I was worried there for a second. Very good season premiere, lets hope this continues. Next week looks good too but not Gizzie again!

I okay with Lexie right now, she's sorta of S1 Izzie to George I can dig that.

Grey Anatomy is back!

Lexie - "I'd give anything not to be here."

Oh Lexie, you're not the only one with that wish. Not sure if she's the new Izzie with that speech and her being George's best new buddy or if she's the new Meredith.

Overall though, it wasn't that bad. Nobody was slapped, nobody's parents died. They were funny and had emotions.

Wow, great episode! I laughed, I cried, I squee'd. Am so glad with the optimistic turn of Meredith and Derek's relationship, if this is the way it's going, and the Cristina-Alex bonding, and Izzie and George, oh, I love them so so much.

Callie deserves some respect, I hope she gets it. I'm not sure where Alex's attitude towards Callie came from so suddenly. And Lexie, yeah, I agree with George, she is kind of awesome.

Yay Gizzie is Back!!! I love you too, it was so sweet. But seriously, George needs to shut up and admit that he's the only one responsible for his failures.

Notwithstanding Gizzie I really liked it.

I swear I must have mellowed over the summer. I went in to tonight expecting to hate it and ... well... I didn't. I mean there was the Gizzie but I couldn't get overly worked up over it.

And I liked the MerDer breakup kissing and sex. More please!

The only thing I can say I fairly hated is how their making Lexie a miniMer. No no, just no.

And the inappropriate sexual tension between Derek and Mark was, well, hysterical. I could be all for mending that friendship if there are more scenes like that.

I've gone soft, it's sad. really.

Can I just say that I never yell at my TV and I told Izzie to shut up like 3 times. I hate her. And that stupid deer - gah!

Gizzie makes me barf and sets this whole season up for sucktitude.

But I loved the Alex and Christina interaction and when McSteamy smiles I still get all melty. Yum.

You know... that actually could have sucked more. I'm actually happy. Hooray for Derek actually getting his girlfriend and backing off at least some! Yay for having Alex again (though wtf with his hair....is it due to the Heroes love of poofy hair a la Nathan?)! Boo Gizzy!!!!


Even felt like a 17 day gap, though Xtina's reaction to her broken wedding... I know she's awesomely awesome... but still... And Lexi needs to do something for me besides irk.

Hmm.

Izzie is once more "the Doctor who practices from the heart". Aw, Bambi. "I am Bambi". Ick.

Meanwhile, the REAL Bambi gets the predictable "you rule, Bambi" ending, thanks to Grey2.0

Izzie and George drama STILL exists. Ick.

Meredith is inevitably jealous of her "sister". And Grey2.0 is EXACTLY like Meredith except she's prettier, younger and less traumatized. It's almost amazing that they didn't have Derick hook up with her by the end of the episode, as opposed to what will likely happen--by the end of the season.

Christina and Alex are STILL the only thing which rule. And... this show being what it is, I see a future hookup already written there.

Seriously. What has Callie done to deserve all this crap they are dumping on her?

And if George had half a brain, he'd realize that he's guy number two that Izzie has been madly in love with in a year's time. That would be a warning signal to me. Or has he forgotten how she spent all that time pledging her eternal love to Denny?

Wow, that was really awful. The show is sinking, fast.

Awww, McSteamy came out here for Derek. He wants to be BFFs again.

Ugh. Ugh. I only like Alex and Christina. The rest of the show absolutely friggin' sucks.

At least it is not as bad as Private Practice. Shonda needs to stick to one show and leave it at that. Grey's has been sucking since the idea of a spin-off started.

When Mark says "I came to get you back" to Derek, I almost died! PD's facial expression is amazing!

I'm glad to see her off the show. Didn't miss her at all tonight.

Nope, they should ALL stay in the background. I don't want them taking screen time from characters I know and care about (except Gizzie).

The whole deer storyline was so freaking ridiculous. Couldn't Shondaz have come up with another case to parallel Izzie to? A deer? Seriously? (and I was spoiled long ago, but this was just worst than I imagined).

I felt bad for Callie all episode...she is the new dead horse that will keep getting beaten this season.

I really liked Lexi Gray... and I didn't expect to. But she may be the coolest character on the show, especially now that Addison is gone (and somewhat de-cooled, actually, but that's another story for another forum). I actually empathized with her genuinely. Actually, there was a lot of genuine empathy for a Gray's episode, as I felt for both Bailey and Callie, too.

I like how the Bailey-not-Chief-Resident is playing out. I actually believe the Chief would make the decision he did, and I actually believe the situation would work out just as it is: Bailey unhappy, Callie unhappy, (former) interns unruly.

I liked the minimal amount of Derrick for most of the episode. And I like the Derrick/Mark friendship issue. I like that the episode actually started to explore some new relationships and explored relationships that weren't romantic for the most part. I even liked the moment with Christina and Alex. Christina remains awesome.

I didn't like the continuation of the MerDer saga. I didn't like the whole "Meredith - Walk Towards Me" moment. Can we just move on from MerDer for awhile? Pretty please? Probably not, but if decapitated men can live to blink another day and dead deer can walk, a girl can dream.

I'm choosing to ignore the other horrible romantic storyline. As much as I actually like StillInternGeorge, I can't get into it.

I miss the Callie/Addison friendship. Poor Callie.

I don't miss Burke.

I also like having so many interns around. I hope they keep a slew of them. The hospital always feels too empty and incestuous. I also hope we get a new heart surgeon and someone new in Addison's job (if she's staying gone and PP makes it).



I was hoping it was supposed to be unromantic. (Break up sex usually is.) But knowing GA, I'm probably wrong on that.

How does that little gnome George get so much attention from the ladies? He looks like he is 14 and TR has the range of a broken cell phone. What is it about him that gets this kind of female response? Don't. Get. It.

Not good. First, Alex, no you don't miss Ava/Rebecca/device that's going to ruin your character. The scene with Christina would have been nice (Alex is an ass, but he still has a heart) if he hadn't said those words in it. And, I can live with the goatee, but comb your hair in something other than some 1950's style. It doesn't work.

Bailey, stop acting like a kid who's glad when the person who got voted class president over you screws up. The little exchange outside the hospital with Callie didn't make up for it. You're supposed to be the mature one. Although, points for mocking Derek's lack of friends.

Nothing bad to say about Christina, and extra points for telling Derek she doesn't like him because he's him.

I'm not going to form an opinion on Lexie, although I want very much to like her, until I get to know her. I gave all the other characters a chance before my opinions formed, so I'm going to do the same with her.

Izzie is a cartoon character. "I'm Bambi!" Why not just have her say she was operating on a deer, instead of calling it "Bambi" in front of George, for the oh so fun misunderstanding?

The scene with Meredith standing between Lexie and Derek was so contrived. Why have that remind people of the end of season 2? Is Lexie=Finn?

I am suprised people actually like that. I'd rather see it a bit more romantic than the just ripping clothes off. In real life people can control themselves until they get home. Not do it in the office.

Also, what is wrong with Meredith's face. I can't figure it out. Like too much botox in her face and lips?
Also, both Callie, and Izzy looked very tired in this episode.

Well, will wonders never cease. Yang grew a heart. McSteamy smiles after confessing that he really came back for McDreamy and for the first time ever I find him attractive. And Izzie didn't make me want to swat her. More than once.

Good episode. I guess there's hope for this show after all.

Re: the previews... poor Callie.

Well, that sucked. The George/Izzie thing I saw coming, but it still was bad. George needs to take the blame for his own misfortunes instead of blaming others. The fake break up was blah, and Mark telling Derek he came to Seattle to "get him back" was revisionist storytelling at its best. I miss Addison and Burke. Now I don't know what to do with the time after Ugly Betty. I need a new tv boyfriend.

Someone needs to remind Bailey that acting like such a snippy bitch is just further justification that you didn't deserve the Chief Resident thing. And don't get all high and mighty about your interns because the last time I checked, they, I don't know, stole a man's heart and did an autopsy without permission just to name a few things.

I grudgingly admit - it was good. I'm really surprised the writers came through (I really am). After such agony they put us through this past summer, they came through.

Too many commercials, though. And Gizzie, ugh. But the Bambi storyline wasn't as stupid as I thought. Lexie was OK, but I'd rather see her in the background. Way back...

And I like Mer/Der breaking up, and having sex! Meredith, you saw the light!!!

OMG, I had really low expectation with the premiere, and yeah, they were what I though, I MISS MY OLD GA!! Let me just say, we need Burke and Addison!

Lexie..oohh dear Lexie..she’s is the kind of character that you love or hate, and right now I can’t stand her, and she’s getting way to much screen time.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I almost felt bad for the half-sib. I absolutely didn't feel bad for Izzy for whatever nonsense she was whining about. I am SO glad Mcdumbass finally seemed to understand that there are reasons Meredith is messed up. Hopefully he will understand that he doesn't need to be one of those reasons. What is WRONG with George? Now he loves Izzy? I don't like that whole situation.

I need to see it again. Except for the gizzy love stuff. No one needs to see that.

God, who applies the blush on the show? Lexie had comical orange circles on her cheeks. And Izzie looked awful and toothy. The only scene where she looked hot was the final one with George. And, George looked way hotter than her. Weird.

Show-wise, I think it was great. The Grey's from last season would have had Cristina and Alex doing it on a gurney covered in 'change'.

I'm conflicted still on what I thought. Not a Lexi fan as of right now. And yeah, vet medicine is totally the same as human medicine for sure...

A few good things about today's show: Cristina, Mark, some of Alex, and I want to love Bailey, but I fear they've not got much else for her.

The rest, meh.

I liked it. I felt like Grey's was back. I grinned through Cristina, Alex, Izzie and Meredith giving the Bailey Rules at the beginning. I don't mind Lexi Grey. I love that Mere and Cris went on the honeymoon together. I liked the return of the basement hallway. That scene between Alex and Cristina at the end was too cute.

I was REALLY worried coming into tonight. And now, I have hope. I know Shonda will stomp on that hope in a week or 2, but for now, in the words of CrazyIzzie Stevens, I believe!

Okay, the ever awesome Bailey does. But everyone else, at one time or another, has had sex in that hospital. Even the Chief when he was a resident.

Damn, that was more depressing than the season finale. Why did I even bother? Well, Im officially done now.

My Addison only got a brief mention from Bailey. Ugh. Then Mark, the asshole, says he only came for Derek. WTF? So Addison was just being totally taken advantage of, the whole "I want to start a relationship" was just all bullshit. A total lie. I just really hate Mark now. Ugh.

Mer/Der, no surprise they are just now having a relationship for sex, since it was built on a ONS in the first place. YUCK!

Mer's face looks funny, weird.

Izzie and George vomit. Poor Callie.

Bailey is being just plain mean and rude.

The only person I did like was Lexie, she is very pretty and has a fresh face. I liked her, maybe she can be the new "Grey" in Grey's Anatomy.
