Will he be a dream (Mmmmm) or a dud (Ohhhh)?

From what I've gathered so far, seems like "successful entrepreneur" means "dropped out of college and owns a bar." Mmmm!

So, this guy is "our sexiest bachelor yet" according to the promos. Doctors, Princes, Officers and Gentlemen, didn't pan out for ABC, so now ABC is bringing Sexy back!

If this the sexiest bachelor I really want to see there idea of "The ugliest bachelor yet", and instead of a house in Malibu they can do in a trailer court in south Central Wisconsin. I would watch that, man I would make room for it on TiVo. Just a bunch of ugly people making a "connection", "taking a journey" and "shocking rose ceremonies" . It will be like reliving my life as a bartender...

I'm sure he'll eventually turn out to be a tool (they all do), but I have to admit to being a little, tiny bit captivated by the way he sees the humor in the more weird and desperate things the women do. I especially liked the bit where Juli told him she was "Juli, without the e," as if he was going to need the correct spelling for the criminal background check, and he responded, "I'm Brad, with a d."

He won me over when he threw a laughing fit over the webbed toes. When he leaned over so all you could see was the top of his head, and he was laughing and laughing, I thought "hmm, I could like this guy."

The Bachelor Meets the Ladies

From the article:
But doing the opposite is not recommended. Ridiculous behaviour, that no woman should do on a date, let alone while trying to impress a man on television included twisting into a pretzel and showing off webbed feet (eww!). It was starting to feel like a circus audition.

For Brad those moves were a little out of place. “On one hand I’m very pleased to see the ladies would put themselves out there, but on the very first night a girl was twisting herself into kind of a pretzel. That was kind of surprising. I like aggression, but it got a little bit desperate.”

My mind isn't made up yet about whether he will be a tool or not but he seems to be able to see things for what they are

I swore I wouldn't watch this again... but here I am!

He is actually a friend of a friend. One of closest friend's twin brother is a partner with Brad and his twin. From what I hear, he really is that nice (and hot) in person.

I guess I will give it a shot. He's at least easy on the eyes... but I am sure this season will be exactly like every other season.

Oh, me too. Big time. He'll end up being a tool (there could be a t-shirt about this show with, like, a wrench on it.) He'll end up talking about how well the woman's job will travel to where he lives, or complaining about how they won't swear undying love just because he can't reciprocate and is dating 15 women. But between liking Jenni's laugh and cackling over the webbed toes, he got me last night.

Found an article and a pic of Brad's ex grilfriend Laurel Kagay who is supposedly still running one of his bars (?)

Austin's Bachelor and the Girl He Left Behind

[A]fter looking at the girls, one of whom Brad has repeatedly predicted he will select as a wife, I am honor bound to show you a picture of Laurel Kagay, owner of PEACH Body Botique in Westlake and former three-year girl friend of Brad's. Laurel is also a friend of my daughter Jennifer and was in Jenn's wedding.

I'm definitely seeing how Jenni is totally Brad's "type" here.

I love Brad's "Wow." He always says it whenever one of the women says something completely inappropriate (e.g., Bettina's "I wanted your hands on me" and Hillary's "you could be my husband and my lover." It's like he's so stunned that he can't think of any other response, and they always misinterpret it as "I'm so happy you said that," when in fact, I think it means, "If I scream, will the producers call 911?" I think of it as a little bit of code between Brad and the viewing audience.

I may regret saying this later, but this is the first time I like the Bachelor more than any of the contestants. Even Bevin was more interesting to watch then any of the final 4 and I wanted to tear my eyes out every time Bevin was on the screen.

I like Brad. I hope he is that genuine off the camera. He doesn't seem like a creep like the previous Bachelors. I'm still trying to get the bad taste of Bob Guiney out of my mouth! Yech
Brad seems like a great guy- I hope he makes a love connection!
jackjackattack
I like him as well. He's great looking - one of the better looking guys they have had on the show. He seems like a very real and down to earth person. I hope things go well for him when it all turns out.

I love that he is completely incapable of bullshitting about everything being fine when someone is behaving strangely. I got that from him the first night when he cracked up at the girl who whipped out her webbed toes. This week it was with Sheena's mom - that deer in the headlights look that says, "Are you sure this woman took her meds today?" I don't remember any other bachelor who was willing to say in a bachterview that one of the contestants or their relatives was weird or stupid. Brad doesn't seem to have a problem doing that!

I know, it really cracks me up. He's like "wow" or "no, no, don't be embarrassed, not at all" while wiping tears from the girls' faces. Poor guy, he got a bunch of nutjobs.
WinkyDink2
It isn't Brad, but dang, if the guy in the front-row doesn't resemble him!
See .38, especially!
