There are reports that the new bachelor is brad womack from austin, tx and that filming is down to home dates with sighting of dates at del mar race track in ca, the circus in anaheim and a date in san francisco at a steak house and then 1-1 at chocolate shop -

True. But don't they usually go somewhere more exciting for the one-on-one dates?
Then again, even if they are hometown dates, that doesn't necessarily mean they're going to locale where they live now. They could be going back to whatever podunk the girl grew up in.
Buuuuuut, if we just play for a minute that these were hometown dates, and that the "currently lives in" locations given on ABC.com would in fact be the location of the hometown dates, then let's keep our eye on:
Sheena (HT: Walnut Creek, CA--greater San Fran area)
Bettina (HT: Hermosa Beach, CA--greater LA area)
McCarten (HT: San Diego, CA--just down the road from Del Mar)
This does leave one hometown date girl still a mystery.
ETA: Based on the race track date last night, and the circus date in the previews, this theory is shot to shit. However, the San Fran date is still out there. But McCarten? Ew. I hope this doesn't pan out.

If by one-on-one dates, you mean the fantasy dates, then they are all in Cabo, not California. There have been several screencaps that clearly show the Bachelor and the final girls in Cabo. We know it's Cabo because the name of the resort is shown, Montecristo Estates.

Lots of screencaps are up, far more than last season. There are some of the final rose ceremony, hands only of course, and of fantasy dates. Clearly a dark haired woman and one w/ lighter hair are on fantasy dates. Other sleuthers who spend far more time than I have scrutinizing pictures put the final three as Deanna, Bettina and Jenni, with Solisa, Sarah and Lindsey going this week. Of course much of this is based on 'scientific principles' such as hair length, hair color and finger shape.
If this is true, I would be surprised producers would not have kept Solisa around longer.

Brad was interviewed this week and apparently said he talks to his 'chosen one' a couple of times a week and isn't chomping at the bit to go off on a romantic vacation with her when this is all over, he's anxious to go back to work. So sounds like the chances of a marriage made in heaven are slim to none. Again.

In the past, at the finale, the "chosen one" has always stood to the right of the screen(so therefore to the left of the bachelor/bachelorette). In the previews for next week, Deanna is the one who is standing in that position so she must be the one he chooses(unless the editing reversed the images but it doesn't look that way).

Take a peek at this link to one of Brad's Austin bar's Sites...
The Chugging Monkey --- Bachelor BradFirst, look at the pictures uploaded yesterday. There are roughly an equal number of pictures of both Jenni and DeAnna; however, look at the associated tags... "I Dream of Jenni", "She (Jenni) is even beautiful with Rollers in Her Hair" vs. "Lovely DeAnna walks Towards Brad". Then, check out the "star ratings" of the pictures (Jenni vs. DeAnna). You will see that Jenni is heavily favored versus DeAnna. Also, on two of DeAnna's pictures without tags, check out the frames and what they say---interesting choices.
Now, none of this is scientific, of course. However, this is not an ABC or ABC-affiliated Site. Do you think it is favoritism by the Site master; is it to throw us off-track; is it foreshadowing the winner? I am inclined to believe the latter.

I don't know what to think. If I can judge by the summer reality show,
Fat March (horrible little show), I'm inclined to think ABC keeps a pretty tight rein on its reality show contestants online activity. One of the marchers wrote and asked me to delete all his posts on TWoP (in which he gave away not one thing), because the producers got on his case.

The Chugging Monkey myspace page had pictures of DeAnna at the bar for a Halloween party a few weeks ago. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, but the pictures were pretty far down the page - not banner ads - so it didn't look like the pictures were there merely as promotion for the show or the bar (at least, no more promotion for the bar than any other picture on the bar's myspace page anyway). Plus, if I were Jenni and I had won, I would be super pissed if my "fiance" were hanging out with a girl with whom he had been intimate only a few weeks before while I was contractually obligated to keep my distance. The photos have since been removed, so maybe ABC got wind of them and made the site take them down.

I read on another site that DeAnna wasn't at Brad's bar. Those pictures were sent in by a friend of hers. They were taken in Georgia either this year or last.

I'm not sure if this is considered Spoiler information...
Well, according to one of Brad's friends/business partners (Jason) who posts quite frequently on the Fans of Reality TV forum, Brad does indeed stick to his decision of choosing noone. There shouldn't be any more surprises for tonight's show.
Also, he explained that the part where Brad walks off the podium happened FIRST and not in the middle as editing showed.
He posts as babyfaceC on that board if you are interested in seeing what he has to say about everything. Pretty good stuff...

He's holding up pretty well for himself in there. He's trying to explain the situation as he knows it and the kind of guy Brad is to people and some people are flat out telling him he is wrong or that Brad should get counseling. Kind of funny. I guess you don't really know your best friend as well as the people who watched him in a highly edited TV show do. He's really managing to stay relatively polite in spite of some of the comments directed his way. He's been a source of good info and dispelling rumours throughout the series too.

Matt starred in a student film when he was in collage called "Firedrake". Two women who mentioned this to Matt, the "global financier"...*snort*, were banned from speaking with him again and did not receive a rose.
Fleiss doesn't want that little bit known, but the cat was way out of the bag before hand.

According to Ted Casablanca's column, Matt ends up with a "flaxen-haired" woman who works in the "industry." Sounds like Shayne to me. Based on my experience, however, I think I'd trust the FORT folks.

Here's the FORT spoiler/speculation forum.
There seems to be a consensus that Final Rose Ceremony is in Barbados.
Here's the summary from FORT (scs = screencaps):
Even though we don't have any FRC or hometown scs yet , we pretty much do know the F3.
We have zipline scs--we have pretty much determined they are Amanda. Those would have to be taken in a warm climate due to what they are wearing and the green foliage. So that indicates Barbados to me, rather than possibly Florida(for a hometown).
We have catamaran scs--we have pretty much determined they are Chelsea. Again taken in a warm climate and her hometown is Colorado, so most likely taken in Barbados.
We have the beach and water tramp scs--we think are Shayne--we know it can not be Robin, Marshana or Noelle because they are of a blonde. We still are not positive they are from Barbados because Shayne has a possibility of several warm climate hometown dates. But I personally think they are of Shayne in Barbados --or she at least makes it to Barbados.
So I really can not see Marshana, Robin or Noelle being F1.

Last season, the "sleuthers" at the FORT had DeAnna and Bettina as the F2 with DeAnna receiving the final rose. Just something to think about!

I thought a lot of them had Jenni and DeAnna as F2 and several of them were starting to wonder if maybe Brad chose no one based on several factors? As far as I can tell they also have Shayne in the mix as a possible member of the F2.

The Industry involves a lotta occupations...don’t rule out any of the other desperate darlings looking for love in all the wrong on-air places.

In this week's In Touch Weekly (it was laying around the office, OK?) Matt is profiled in his London apartment talking about his chosen one. Along with the standard blah, blah, blah about being the happiest man in the world etc. etc. he does say "the kind of woman I was looking for was strong, but the most important thing was that she was funny, genuine and social...the one I chose had the same views on spending on vacation: cheap flights, but nice hotels".
That rules out Shayne with her suitcase just for shoes. I don't imagine Shayne would go cheap on anything, but certainly not a vacation.
Unless Matt is deluding himself.

I am rooting for either Noelle or Amanda, but it doesn't look good. Something tells me the F2 will be Chelsea and Shayne. Even though Amanda received the First Impression Rose, she has basically been MIA. Matt hasn’t singled her out for any special attention and the other ladies don't see her as a threat. They seem to think Robin is the one to beat. Based on the screen caps in the previews, I predict: F4-Noelle, F3-Amanda, F2-Chelsea, F1-Shayne.

A "view" on "cheap flights"? What does that even mean? Who wants to spend a lot of money on a flight, anyway -- its not like one's flying experience will be any different if one pays $1000 for a ticket vs. paying $100 for a ticket. Unless he means that his dream girl doesn't insist on flying first class -- in which case, as Juno would say, "Way to dream big, Matt!"
I don't know, I don't think I'm expressing myself very well -- it just seems like such an odd thing for him to say. Who
wouldn't want to find a cheap flight and also stay at a nice hotel? It doesn't seem like one would really be sacrificing anything to do that, does it?

It sounds like you cant imagine the other alternatives:
1. "long and pricey flights to somewhere amazing, staying in a hostel" ... Tessa or Erin S (weiner vendor)?
2. "expensive flights, expensive hotels" ... Jen Scheftt, Shayne?
3. ROAD TRIP! any normal 22 year old?
4. Cheap flights, any hotel with paparazzi guaranteed? Almost everyone on the show.

Okay, I'm a little embarassed to admit that I even frequent this site, but occasionally I scroll through while at work (I know, I know) and I came across this little gem. Shayne is pegged as the winner, but it gives a little inside scoop on the Marchana situation. Apparently he wasn't interested in either girl so they set up the 2 on 1 date to keep Marchana around for a while longer.

Thanks for the link kali. While I can definitely believe the Marshanna part, I really don't want to believe the Shayne part. I am starting to like her a little bit because she is charming but I would hate it if he winds up with her because it would be yet another failed relationship for this show. He's enamored and charmed by her, but that will not build a lasting relationship. Infatuation wears off. Oh and I can see that she could be a bitch. I think she is acting on this show and not too bad at it.

The spoiler on Matt having "acted" in college is interesting. So do you think he is just trying to make contacts in Hollywood ala her Dad??
I hope it is actually love but she all but admitted tonite that she is not in love with him.
As far at the hand/ring scene shown tonite, it has been pointed out that when he is kneeling you can see the shoulder of that girl and since Amanda is pretty tall it most likely rules her out.

I'm going to go grassy knoll if Shayne's the pick. The season after one of the least romantic endings (Brad "I choose me" Womack), the bachelor allegedly has Hollywood aspirations and ends up with an actress from a Hollywood family who probably was happy to sign on to get some exposure.

Sure Shayne is adorable in her own quirky way, but F1 and the love of Matt's life??? I'm not buying it--even if she is F1. If Fleiss was going to go to all the trouble to ensure a romantic ending then he should have choosen an actress with a less known family and someone who is a bit older and believable. Shayne is the type of Hollyweird kid who should be dating Brody Jenner.
I've checked the SC's out at FORT and am not convinced that it's Shayne's hand, shoulder or elbow in the proposal shot. Or even if the hand shot is the proposal shot. Lots of chops in those clips. Will be interesting!

It looks like a lot of analysis of the elbow/shoulder/back shot is saying that it's Amanda. I mean, we all know that Fleiss loves to mess with stuff and deliberately throw all the speculators off the track with editing and stuff. I wouldn't think he'd make it so obvious right off the bat. I definitely think it's an Amanda/Shayne final two. And I do like Shayne now - she's cute, funny, endearing and very charming. But she's still very immature (it has nothing to do with age) - in her pouty ways and actions with Matt. I just can't see her being the love of anyone's life or ready to get engaged or married any time soon. Amanda on the other hand, while quirky and funny is older and probably better in a place to get married. Who knows. I'm still gunning for Amanda.

If I based my pick solely on how Matt interacts with someone I would also say Amanda. They seem to actually be engaged in real world conversations and interactions, which we only get to see chopped up versions of, as opposed to the interview type interactions we usually see. I guess in an episode description it said that Amanda went to Matt's hotel after visiting with her parents so they could spend more time together. As usual if she really is the one we're going to be left either wondering where it came from or feeling icky about how he acts with the F2 to cover up the fact that he rather be with the other one.

Nothing against Shayne. She does seem sweet and is pretty (a prettier version of a Sienna Miller type). But I just don't see her being ready to settle down. Totally agree with the "dating Brody Jenner".
I agree alot could be going on with those screen caps. Who is to say they didn't film him with both ladies..taking shots of the hand and kneeling,etc. Would it really surprise anyone? TPTB know that those caps are analyzed. I'm still hoping for an Amanda proposal and hopefully he is Not trying to start an acting career.

Screencap sleuths at FORT analyzed pics of the proposal: Shayne is curvier than Amanda so the hand/arm looks more like hers, and someone said the bracelets are ones Shayne wore in Las Vegas.
I don't want Shayne as F1. She's nice, sweet, playful, fun, and cute. I'd probably love her as a Real World housemate or some other reality show (not dating Brody Jenner, because he seems like kind of an ass, but that kind of show), but an engagement and marriage??? although I guess with her father's track record, she may (subconsciously) not think of marriage as a super-long-term kind of arrangement. [Yes, lots of people get married young and have wonderful long marriages, but I'm 34, and everyone I know like that seemed more settled/ mature (in terms of college/ job/ family responsibilites, etc.) than Shayne comes off.]
If Shayne's F1, with her father previously employed by a Fleiss-produced show, it just smacks of set up.

Based on his demeanor, I don't think Lorenzo wanted to do the show. He made a point of saying that he was surprised to hear that Shayne would be appearing on "The Bachelor". Then to top it off, he told Matt that she was probably doing it just to be on TV. Ouch! So, I rather doubt he had a hand in any of this.

I don't know. Maybe he was "cast" in the role of skeptic to add a little tension. That would make it look less like a set up. If Lorenzo stood there and said, "I told Shayne this would be a great thing for her to do and I'm so happy that she's doing it.", it would have come off like obvious pre-planning.
Fleiss knew that that Lorenzo would be part of any home visit with Shayne I find it hard to imagine that Fleiss, he of the many behind-the-scenes machinations, wouldn't have checked with Lorenzo, with whom he'd previously worked, before signing Shayne.

If Shayne gets the proposal at the end, I will be happy. I like her. I couldn't stand her at first and as the weeks went by, she became more and more likeable. Yes, she is the typical Hollywood girl type but she's alright. I do have my doubts about how genuine his feelings for her are though. He smacks of wanting to break into Hollywood and I can totally see him using Shayne's connections to do so. I think her father was genuinely less-than-impressed about her doing the show, that didn't seem fake or contrived on his part. Her mother... now, THERE'S a frightening case of too much plastic surgery and cosmetic injectables. Yikes.
