I think Polly Bergen has great chemistry with Felicity Huffman. However, Stella is a drunken bitch. I have a feeling that the only way she'll be helping Lynette is helping herself to her liquor. Maybe they'll build a bridge. It would be nice if they did. But I am also looking forward to some serious arguments and fights.

Stella is an interesting character. And I DO think she wants to patch things up with Lynette, considering it was her who gave them the $10,000 they needed. Of course, there's gonna be tension, but that's because it's tough for either of them to let go of the past. But I'm glad she came to help out.

I was hoping by November Lynette and Stella might be on solid footing, but based on spoilers it doesn't look like it.
I really liked the season finale scenes they were in together but there's only so much fighting they can do before it gets old. I would really like to see Stella in a weak moment. I want to see them bond over their struggles, Stella help Lynette with her marriage, Stella apologize, Lynette forgive her (even if this takes multiple episodes), and finally Stella moves out and Lynette moves on a stronger person.

Don't keep her around all season, just have her get into little toussles with Lynette and then resolve them leaving each character stronger and more understanding of the other,.

Yeah, me too. I don't mind them bickering for the first 2-3 episodes, but eventually I want them to end things on a good note. It will take some time to forgive, though. I work with teenage girls who were abused by their parents. Some of these girls have been in therapy for years, and they are just now beginning to get past some of their anger. Those wounds literally take years to heal. I hope Stella doesn't push the issue of Lynette forgiving her, but instead quietly shows her love and support. Actions speak louder than words. Maybe if Lynette sees that Stella is sincere (if she actually is), then she can begin to heal.

But yeah, I don't want Stella here all season long. It would be cool if a tentative bridge is built by the season finale, then Stella can make a guest appearance once a year to help Lynette with some issue.

Okay, so I liked that Lynette and her mother were getting along. I thought the spoilers said Lynette was going to be having problems with her mother?

When Stella first appeared last season I was kind of prepared to watch a lot of fights between mother and daughter on season 4 but instead I've been gladly surprised to see that they are getting along much better than I thought actually and also in a very realistic way imo. Have to say the more I see Stella interacting with Scavo family, the more I like her.
Polly Bergen is doing a terrific work and has a lot of chemistry with Felicity, she was the perfect choice to play Lynette's mother. Kudos to the casting department.

I am enjoying their interactions as well. I thought Stella was going to be an evil pain in the butt this season, but I honestly think she loves her daughter and is trying to help. Plus...the pot brownies...OMG! SOOO funny!

I want her to stay on the show as a 'Deaparate Nana', ;-) TV needs more senior 'talk to' characters.
