Unspoiled only. Stick to one side or the other, if you can.

About who GossipGirl is:
There was a blog run by some real NY socialites called SocialiteRank(I think). No one knew who ran it, but it had to be an insider because of the amount of details. Turned out it a group of sisters that made sure to make disparaging remarks when referring to themselves on the site to take the heat away from them.
I think this would be a wonderful plot twist for one of the characters, or even better, if both of Blair's United Nations team were running it together.

Wouldn't it be better if it was the 2 boys, Chuck and Nate!?!?!

I'm calling it right now. The reason Serena left was because Nate got her preggers.

I'll up the pregger thing with I think she got knocked up by one of her classmates dads.
She seems like the type to mess with older gentlemen.

Do you think Gossip Girl will ever make an appearance? I mean, not as a stunt for sweeps, but as a plot that was actually planned and intentional?

Moved from the
Victor/Victrolia thread.
But jeez, they’re really hitting the Humphrey/van der Woodesen connection hard. We have Dan/Serena, very nice chemistry between the Rufus and Lily, and maybe even a hint of future Jenny/Eric. Not exactly incestuous, but still a bit odd…
I may have watched to many soaps but given that Papa H and Mama VdW were sleeping together in the past I feel like one of the Little VdWs will be a Humphrey, most likely (I hope) Eric.

Since it's been discussed in the episode thread that Nate is basically the Marissa of Gossip Girl, who is holding out hope that there is some furniture thrown around as a reference to Mischa Barton's infamous lawn chair into pool primal scream of season 2 of The OC.

I could see Erik developing a little crush on Chuck.

I could see Erik developing a little crush on Chuck.
And if Erik were the one to come out and that happened I would think it wouldn't be a problem for Chuck as he seems pretty open minded sexually. He'd probably start trying to get Erik to get it on with the male staff rather than the female ones.lol

I really do think Erik is going to come out. It would make sense, given the hints we got in this episode about how he feels "different." And Chuck would totally support him, it could be adorable. What I want now is for Chuck to apologize to Blair and help her try to take Jenny down / get Nate back. Although, hopefully Blair doesn't want him back, but whatever. In the process she can realize that Chuck is actually the right guy for her.
I want Georgina to make EVERYONE'S lives hell- although especially Serena. I'm not sure if I actually want her shaking up S and D, though. I mean, I want her to "test" them, but I'd like them to pass.
Okay, this is my hope for Georgina. Considering the fact that her name remains the same as the book character, I really hope (this is a book spoiler, unrelated to the show) she and Chuck lost their virginities to each other at thirteen.
I'd like to see a little hint of Chuck/Georgie action, but I'd definitely want him to dump her ass for Blair.

I can't shake the feeling that it may be Bart who in the closet. Don't know why, I just haven't bought the whole man's man womanising thing and proposing to Lily after only dating for 4 minutes. If it was Eric, why would that break up a marriage?
I don't see the preggers thing as Serena would have surely been more freaked out when Blair had the scare?

That would make for the best fluff subplot ever!
If it was Eric, why would that break up a marriage?
Is it a given that the outing has to break up a marriage? None of the spoilers I've read have said that (it wasn't one of
Ausiello's hints), but I might have missed something. Plus I have to say that I can totally see Lily marrying Bart even if he's gay (given what's been implied about her past ex-husbands). So if Bart is indeed closeted, I have a feeling that he'd plan on staying that way and Lily might even let him.
Besides, GG already has one gay dad that's left a relationship by deciding to embrace his sexuality and come out. I can't see them repeating the very same storyline with Bart. It wouldn't give us anything new. We don't need to watch Chuck wrestle with the baggage that can come with having a parent who comes out late in life. We're already are experiencing that with Blair. If they want to deal with homosexuality on the show, I think they're more likely at this point to make it someone under 20.

Someone asked in the Spoiler thread what they would do in Season 3 when the seniors go to collage.
My question is where do Serena and Chuck want to go to collage? I see Serena at NYU or Columbia keeping her in NY, same with Venessa (NYU film school) and Chuck (doesn't really care about school so either will be fine). So they could be there for season 3.
Blair will go to Yale which is not that far away so she can be in a good portion of episodes due to weekend getaways and holidays.
Nate wants to go to USC, a little harder to write in unless they do summer seasons. Or he could be so in love with V or so in tune with what he really wants which is in New York that he ends up at NYU or Columbia (my guess Columbia).
Jenny and Eric will be around for a while, so they can develop new friends for them in season 2 to fill in gaps.
If they are intent in keeping G she won't go to collage so she's not a problem.
Dan at Dartmouth is fine with me because we will only get holidays, unless they do summer seasons.

Post my message here instead.
I know this is probably off-topic (well with respect to what is being discussed at the moment) but I didn't find a specific topic to discuss this.
Well, we know some of the potential storylines of Season 2 due to the spoilers for the Finale (and beyond). We can assume that Season 2 will mostly follow the young crew as they embark on their last year of High School.
But what about Season 3 [in the case there is one, which is highly likely in my opinion]? I didn't read the book but I know that the kids kinda split up (some to Yale, etc) after High School. What will they do for Season 3? Arrange the plot so that all the kids get to stay in UES, like for TPTB did for The O.C. in Season 4?
EDIT: If Dan and Serena break up, knowing that Dan doesn't really interact with the others, what will be his purpose on the show?

Well, Dan is a main character. His sister and dad are also characters on the show, as is his best friend from childhood. Even if Serena and Dan are broken up, he will still go to the same school as the rest of them and he could still get tied into their lives. And as in every other teen soap (90210, The OC), I'm sure Serena and Dan will get back together only to break up again a few times. Dan is still the "Outsider" character and supposed to kind of act as an audience-surrogate. He's the Seth Cohen or Brandon Walsh of Gossip Girl. So there's no way he's going anywhere.

I'm pretty sure even in season 3, all the kids will be in New York or within an hour and a half train ride from the city. They're never in school as it is, so it would be unnecessary to show them in college. I go to Columbia and I have a friend at Yale who comes down every Thursday night and stays in the city until Monday morning. There's no reason why Blair couldn't be in every episode even if she went to Yale. I also think Chuck would go to Yale, since that's the usher position he got in Poison Ivy.
Dan will realize Dartmouth is not for him, or I hope he'll realize that, and end up at Columbia. Vanessa will go to NYU film school, and Nate will probably go to NYU, too. Maybe S will take a page from the book and decide to act, in which case she could go to NYU Tisch or else Sarah Lawrence.

Plus with the crazy way UES time works on Gossip Girl, it seems unlikely that the characters will even be shown at school when there's no good reason for them to be anywhere else. It can always be Friday night, even if logic will try to tell you that it should be Wednesday afternoon.
Also, there's no telling that by the 3rd season, the kids will have gone off to college. 90210 was on for two full seasons before they started their senior year, even though all of the characters (minus David) were juniors when the series started. And it wasn't because the writers decided to do half of their junior year in one season and the other half in the next. They got out for summer both years and had first days back and everything. Other shows have pulled tricks to keep their cast in high school longer too, so I guess it's possible that the writers will figure out how to keep the kids in the UES fulltime for longer as opposed to scattering them across the Northeast for university.

I think that in some interviews, Josh had said that he isn't worried about that, since he sees NYC as what this show is about more than high school. So I'm guessing that means they'll all still be around NYC. Plus, if they keep Jenny on, she'd still be in high school too - unless if they go "The It Girl" route with her. What I'm more concerned about though, is the new 90210 show stealing GG's thunder next year.
