Has everyone been catching all of the great new promos for new episodes they have been showing on USA?
My favorite is the one where Goren & Eames (in Season 7 character mode) are talking about a case & notice that the USA logo is pasted at the bottom of the televsion screen. Then Goren tries to scrape it off with his finger. It's so cute.
There are also a bunch of short promos of clips of last season's episodes, all conveying the theme of "moving." Most of these promos have been airing during the tennis (U.S. Open) as well as during Monk, SVU & CI itself. I caught one this morning during Walker, Texas Ranger. There was even one on the Bravo station a few days ago.
The promo re: logo scraping was filmed in August. Vincent looks healthy & tan, although he's still packing the weight. But who cares, he's still hot! And Erbe looks wonderful as usual. That woman hardly ever changes. I know she's younger than Vincent, so that she has in her favor.
Comments, anyone?

Yes! The move to USA is already paying dividends, since USA as an organization excels at a) making strong promos for their original shows, and b) running them until you want to put your fist through the monitor to make them stop. CI has gone from being the runt of the L&O litter on NBC to being a major commitment of resources for USA, and it has the potential to really help the show.

Wow I hope so. Just to prove you correct, Mr. E, I walked outside my building today (in NYC) and what should I see but a very cute couple of CI posters suggesting "the move". Should I post a link to a photo of them? I could take it tomorrow.
Anyway I saw the Monk one which was great. Can't wait to see the USA logo one.

I've seen at least 2 "original" ones. The logo scraping made me chuckle especially this exchange
Goren - what's that, Eames - a severed hand, Goren - no the other thing
But I think my favorite is when the movers pack up the crime scene.
I don't know if these need spoiler bars but better safe than sorry.

The promos are great -- and now I've ordered cable. I'd been thinking about it anyway (teh eeevil cable company is running a deal). And I really wasn't liking the idea of having to wait to see new episodes (and avoiding my favorite forums in the meantime), so I caved.

That screen scraping is funny. Probably the best one. Especially how when Vincent does it, he does it at arm's length, stretching his arm out as far as it will possibly go. Like he's afraid to really touch it.
I thought the Logan one with the movers was funny, but not quite as funny as the movers and the crime scene with Eames and Goren. Logan's interrogating a suspect in one of the interrogation rooms, and those movers come in and take away the table. Then they come back and take away the chairs that Logan and suspect are actually sitting in. THEN they come back and take Logan's pencil and pad of paper literally out of his hands. It's funny because the whole time Logan is trying to ignore the movers and grill this guy, even after the table is gone and even when they take away the chairs and then at the end he finally just gives up and shrugs at the suspect and tells him to go on and leave.

Absolutely. CN said as much in an interview and these promos are just terrific - I liked the one with the Monk clips, and the one with Ross saying they're moving and Logan going nuts is fun too. I can't wait to see if we get some like the Monk-Psych-Dead Zone ones, where the guys from Psych and Dead Zone are freaked out by Monk.
Plus with repeat plays, it's not going to be the fall I had last year, trying to decide whether to tape House or CI or Dancing with the STars, since they were all on against each other.

I love the new promos. So funny and they get the job done, everyone knows about the move too. I have high hopes for this on USA because like others have said, USA really puts all its resources behind its programming. Both marketing and show. Looking forward to the new episodes.

I just saw the Gorem & Eames crime scene being moved one last night. But I haven't seen the Logan one yet! Well, tonight is Monk and Psych, so maybe they'll play it then.
I've also seen the promo of clips from other shows showing characters from their other original shows seeming to welcome them.
Does anyone know if they're starting with Gorem & Eames, or with Logan? And I'd love it if they could do more of ALL the characters....a girl can dream.

I would love to see a 2 hour all-four-detectives show again, I think we're overdue for one now.
But maybe wait till Wheeler returns. And have it be a really great, complex mystery with no soap.
And let's hope that the rumored appearance of Carver returning as a judge could play a role.

Nice! I can't wait. Glad they are kicking off the season with a Goren/Eames episode. I'm interested to see how they have Goren's character react to his mother's death this season. So happy for brand new episodes soon.

I am thrilled to death that they have moved to USA and I for one saved all of the new promos from youtube I love the crime scene one a lot, but my favorite is Bobby trying to scrape off the logo. Funny stuff, makes me smile. I love that USA voice over guy's comments on Psych and Monk, so I can't wait to see what he does for CI. I am so glad that the new shows are back I really don't care what happens, just to start watching new stuff soon!!! And mini-marathons for the holidays (I'm guessing anyway) good times begin October 4. Yeah I will be home glued to my set. Already got the night off of work :)

Ok, I know a lot of folks like that the L&Os don't focus on their personal lives but I am now loving it. The recent previews of CI's new eps is thrilling. Eames and Goren getting emotionally naked? He looks a mess. She looks a mess. Juicy.

Did the marathon yesterday end with the episode where Goren uncovered the not-his-brother in the morgue?
I had seen bits and pieces of the one where his mother died but gave up last night when they went from the above episode to a L&O:SVU episode.
Did I leave too soon?
Interesting how the writers changed Bobby.

I noticed that. I thought maybe they were going to show it after the random SVU break. Didn't stay up to check though. Why would they skip the mom-dying ep. Wasn't that the finale of last season?

Last I heard she was pregnant, so I guess she'll be back after her maternity leave. I don't know if she is still pregnant or what.
I like their parterning too, so I hope she'll be back soon.

So true - Thank God for USA. They really have been promoting the hell out of CI. They were even showing episodes at 6am this morning when I was getting ready for my day. I'm seriously a fan and I got behind because of moves and lack of promotion from NBC. NBC sucks anyway.
