Though I pretty much resigned from the Gorenista club, I still get google alerts about VDO, and on a few recent occassions I see references to deleted scandalous commments about him. Anyone want to give me the cliff notes? Are we STILL talking about the waitress from the diner? I gather a crazy stalker woman is posting something titillating on every open VDO discussion, but it always gets removed, and I'll admit to that while I'd likely have ignored it, now my curiosity is peaked!

Waitress from the Diner? When was that? Please elaborate, if you can. Even old news is good news when it comes to juicy gossip about VDO.
As far as I know, there was a woman who posted some disparaging comments about VDO at that Utah newspaper that covered a story about Vincent going in on his sister Toni's Rib City franchise.
She claims that she is a pro, specializing in sadistic sex. I guess like a dominatrix, along those lines. She says that Vincent was her client while she was separated from Carin. She paints a very bad picture of VDO, one I simply cannot believe. Honestly, I think the woman is crazy.
Does this help?

Oh, it was pretty much that same sort of thing. Some woman claimed to be a waitress in a diner he frequented and detailed a "freakish" encounter. One of the celebrity gossip sites alluded that he had somewhat unusual tastes. I don't have any inkling it any of it is true, and I wouldn't bother with it except for all the heavy handed moderation. When it is clear that all kinds of posts have been removed, it makes me wonder why. Most of the fan sites are pretty freakish themselves, no information that would indicate the subject is anything less than a God is permitted! Even classic heroes had flaws for Christ sake (inlcuding THAT one, lol)!

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if VDO, or any celeb, had, what shall I say, "eccentric tastes" when it comes to sex. Most men have sexual fantasies, but are unable to fulfill them. Celebs have women throwing themselves at them, willing to do whatever, so it's no big shock if sometimes the celeb indulges, especially if they are single & no one is being hurt (consensual adults).
The fact that posts have been removed might be fear on the part of the blog or newspaper. Who wants a libel/slander suit on their hands? And I've noticed that on certain sites, it is sacreligious to do anything but gush & fawn over VDO. Even a simple observation like saying he's gained some weight will be attacked by certain posters.

Donna, I don't disagree with that synopsis at all. And as I said, I'd not have given it a thought if it hadn't been deleted left and right!
I don't really hang on this message board anymore, but I have ALWAYS appreciated the open dialogue, free discourse and lack of Napoleonic moderation. There has always been a certain amount of  factor that is sometimes a turn off to the, ahem, more mature poster. However, there is thoughtful discussion, good ideas, and friendly disagreement.
There is no fawning over each other, or worse, no *thanking* the moderators for disabusing us of our first amendment rights, lol. The NBC board is w/o a doubt the worst bb I have ever visited for these, and many more, reasons. There can be no criticism of the "talent." Only observations along the lines of "Vincent is soooooo dreamy, and he's such a good person, you can tell by the way he ties his shoes....." are permitted (assuming of course you get that comment or one very much like it in a the thread the moderator thinks it should be in). I wanted to rename that site "Pravda." Not after the CI episode, after the official State newspaper of the former USSR (in case one missed the irony, lol). I always pictured the mods of that site as Josh Lyman described them in The West Wing: "obese women in mu mus chian smoking parliments...."
The USA site is peopled by tweenagers I think. The privately owned CI.us site is very good, but there is a bit of a stomp down on anyone who doesn't agree with the half dozen most popular posters.
This site, the "hotness" thread notwithstanding, is the best source for news and discussion IMO. It is the most democratic and the one I'll come back to if CI ever gets good again. ;) Very much hope to see you all soon!

There's already a topic about D'onofrio
here.
Please use the forums to discuss the show, not other websites, or this one. It's
boards-on-boards.
