Watching my DVD's has made me realize a lot of things the writers just abandoned. For instance:
- Did Phoebe ever see her biological parents after season 5? Why weren't they at her wedding? The snow?
- Did Phoebe and Frank ever actually run RelaxiTaxi? What happened to the van?
- Did Frank Sr. ever meet the triplets? Phoebe tells Ursula about him, but not Frank Jr.
- How did Joey's WWI movie do?
Post your unanswered questions. Maybe someone knows the answer! I always wondered what happened to Joey's boat, but a scene in TOW Ross is Fine (I think it's a DVD-only scene) reveals he sold it sometime around season 8.

If anyone knows this, it would be super! The exterior shot of the Friends apts could NOT have been their apts!!! Monica had a brick balcony, but that building didn't have that at all! It's bugged me for quite a long time...
Maybe mine is more nitpick than anything.
I wondered what happened to the chick and the duck and why there wasn't a final ep with them kind of thing before the "farm" or whatever.

I've always wondered how much Chandler had in savings that he wrote down to Monica for wedding plans.
I also wondered how much the check Phoebe/Mike were going to donate to charity was for.

Here's another thing I've often wondered: what was the official arrangement when they switched apartments? Did they pay each other's rent? Obviously they couldn't mess with the leases, because the purple apartment was Monica's grandmother's. However, Treeger clearly knew the guys were living there in TOW the Free Porn.
The use of "Nana" bothers me, too. I guess the one who had the apartment is Jack's mother, who is alive and lives in Florida. The one who died in S1 is Judy's mother. Still, they refer to both as Nana. I never called either of my grandmothers Nana, but it seems to me you wouldn't call them both the same thing. They could call one Nana Althea and the other Nana whatever, but a lot of times I don't know which Nana they're talking about.

Well, for what it's worth, my great-grandmother was called Nana. I never knew why though, because she was Icelandic and should've been called Amma. And I totally agree about how they would've called one of them Grandma and one of them Nana.
And totally OT, but I remember when I saw the episode that first mentions Nana Althea and I was like 10 and it was the first time I heard my name mentioned on TV. So exciting!

I never understood how there could be a window in the living room of Joey's apartment. Isn't the staircase there? Or maybe the staircase only extends behind the kitchen? But then the hallway seems too long.

I never understood the window in the girls' kitchen for the same reason. The layout of their apartment means even if there was a window there, then the building shape would have to be kind of weird (especially since I think that portion of the wall was angled.)
Also I never understood if there's a door to the balcony or you climb out the window. In the episode with the lottery tickets, they are clearly hanging out a window that is where a door would be.

There is no door to the balcony, you do have to climb in and out through the window. This is apparently pretty common in NYC.
There definitely shouldn't be a window in Monica's kitchen or Joey's living room. There probably shouldn't be one in his bedroom (The morning's here window) either.

Both the window in Joey's LR and the window in Mon's Kitchen could have led into air shafts, not to the open street.

Can pigeons fly in through air shafts? And can you see it raining or snowing? All of those happened through those windows. I've never lived in a building like that so I honestly don't know.

And what about the peeper being able to see into both apartments? That one still really bugs me.

If the peeper was across the street he could since both apartments were against the side of their building and both had window's in the living rooms.

For what it's worth, I called both of my grandfather's Papa, although I guess I did generally attach a last name to one. Mainly, though, I think that, even as a child, I was lazy and sort of stupid. So maybe that's Ross and Monica's excuse.

I want to know what ever happened with the guy Phoebe met at the hospital while Rachel was having Emma. Don't get me wrong; I'm glad they went with Mike instead, but it really seems in that episode like they're setting up a relationship for Phoebe in Season 9.

Didn't that guy get a pilot picked up? The writers said they were definitely setting them up but then he got a new show (which for the life of me I can't remember the name of) so they scrapped the idea and went with Mike.

I'm glad, Mike fits in well with the group. He's got that sense that he doesn't need to be there so he's free to comment on how weird they all are.

I believe that actor appeared on TBS's My Boys, but I don't know if that was the pilot you're referring to.

Well My Boys didn't come along until 4 years later. According to IMDB he left to do a bunch of pilots but was supposed to be the main guy on Miss Match.

Didn't the man (in a quick wikipedia search, it was a man named Clifford) in the hospital tell Phoebe that his wife had died recently? Sick me always assumed his wife had died on 9/11. I thought he told Phoebe that it was too soon for him to be in a relationship, but I may of made that up.

He tells Joey his wife died of a myocardial infarction, but of course Joey doesn't know what that is.

He was in a few eps the first season, but he wasn't one of 'the boys.' Just a passing love interest.

I always wondered what happened to the restaurant Pete offered Monica right before they started dating. I assume she didn't start it, but did she go back to work at the diner? I just don't recall her wearing her 50's uniform after Pete and she hooked up. Was her job situation ever explained? Did I miss it?

She was unemployed and catered a few times and then she and Phoebe got the van and then she got a new job.

I thought the whole van thing happened before the diner job. Wow! Sorry, just got my timeline confused. They clearly covered her situation then.

But you're right; they never came out and said that Monica turned down the restaurant after she and Pete started dating.

She said sh couldn't work for him because he had feelings for her before they even started dating. I doubt Monica would have changed that when they started, she's too smart for that.

they would've called one of them Grandma and one of them Nana.
Not necessarily. Both of my grandmas have always been Grandma, and both my granpas Grandpa.
I too would have liked an episode where we found out what actually happened to the chick and the duck, rather than having it explained ages later.
