Dear Tubey -

I noticed this comment from Strega in the FTC:
Our goal is "coherent and readable" not "perfect."

Does this represent some kind of lowering of forum standards? Shouldn't we always strive for perfection even if we can't obtain it?

Can we make this the new tagline for the forums? I kinda like it.
Tubey
Yes, we regret to inform you our partnership with All The Grammar Teachers In The World (ATGTITW) has sadly come to an end and we can no longer afford to proofread each message posted to the forums. For those with a paid subscription to the TWoP-ATGTITW newsletter you will be receiving "Chickadee" in its place.

However we continue to have strong ties to the International Brotherhood of Size Nine Labourers (IBOSNM) and will be putting extra R&D dollars into that giant cannon that shoots things into the sun we keep talking about.

Does this mean people won't be banned for describing things as "very unique" or using who when they need whom?

Hell in a handbasket, I tell you...
kuromaku
"Very unique" - arggh - TWoP'll end up looking like eBay. "Tubey! Very unique and one of a kind! Only 5 available!"

Hell in a handbasket indeed.
jmilazzo
eBay -- hey is that where the Bitterness thread for Lost went? Maybe we can bid on it!
CountryAle
I was all excited about my copy of Chickadee until I discovered that Mighty Mites is no longer featured! Canadian children's magazines are going to hell in a hand basket, I tells ya.

Well as long as Goofus and Gallant still appear in Highlights for Children here in the U.S., I'll be okay!

Tubey, to whom did you relate more as a child-- Goofus or Gallant?
idledandy
Ugh, Gallant is such a Marty Stu!
PhantomChic
Tubey could and would kick Gallant's ass. For that matter, he's probably kick Goofus' ass while he was at it, just for good measure.
Machiabelly
Does the fact that both of your acronyms have an incorrect last letter have anything to do with the loss of grammar teachers?
Tubey
The extra G was algebra.
Actually what I meant was it is and always has been a W.
I didn't just edit it if that's what you're thinking.

That's crazy talk.
