First time the Senator's bro appeared I began searching my brain (small area, no problem): where have I seen him? Last night I watched a rerun of a 2005 episode of CSI (the real one, the Las Vegas one) and there he was! Playing a gorgeous movie star who ends up dead. He didn't have many, if any, lines but he did good. I hope he gets to stay with us.
Has anyone seen him in an especially good movie or tv show?

He was in season 3 of ABCFamily's WILDFIRE. He played a cowboy, R. J. Blake. He guest starred in about half of the season 3 episodes. He played a really likable character. His hair was much longer too. ABCFam has season 3 of WF available to watch on their website and itunes.
He is also in VIVA LAUGHLIN this fall. I am hoping it fails so he can come back to the Walker clan.

As a bonus, that might also free Hugh Jackman up to make guest appearances as himself on Scrubs (my dream scenario).

His new show has been picked up so if we do see Jason again, it mightn't be for a long time on the series.

Kitty wonders why, since he's got Nora won over, he doesn't take the next step and tell Kevin he has a gay brother. Robert: "Because I don't trade in that kind of currency. I'm not going to use my brother to gain your brother's approval." Just as well, because if Kevin and Jason had met any earlier, we might not have had The Great Season Finale Pantry Make-Out that has now made so many of us bitterly resentful toward Viva Laughlin. (I mean, I'm happy for Eric Winter [love!] and all, but CANCEL THAT DAMN SHOW AND BRING BACK JASON! Ahem.)
Hehe, I was just reading that, and I have such a 'WORD' to all of it. I just recently got into the series, and he's my favorite of Kevin's love interests (albeit he's only had two others) and I just really loved their sparring. And I've seen Eric Winter in some guest spots he's done, and I really like him and want him to do well in his career, but I really want Viva Laughlin to fail, just so that he'll be back as Jason on Brothers and Sisters. From everything I've read,
it seems as though they are leaving the door open for Jason, so that if Viva Laughlin does get cancelled, he can come back midseason, and if it doesn't, then they can just say he and Kevin have broken up.

I'd assume that by playing McAllister's brother as well as Kevin's love interest, Eric Winter will potentially be able to return to the series at some point regardless of how Viva Laughlin might interfere with the latter storyline. Even if his contract ties him up the whole season and Kevin has to move on to a different boyfriend, I'd welcome his return down the line for scenes with Robert and Kitty. (And surely he'd need to come back for a wedding episode between those two!)

Especially as his character is, you know, a
minister and all, it might be kind of awkward to have the wedding without him. . . .
(And who here thinks
Viva has a chance, Hugh Jackman or no Hugh Jackman? A musical drama series?)

Unless Robert goes back to having a Catholic wedding than he'd need a priest. Still, he's going to show for his own brothers wedding.

He can't get married to Kitty in the Roman Catholic Church unless his ex-wife dies, can he?

Unless he annulled(sp?) his marriage. After all, he's not divorced yet, which now that I mention it, it would sound really tacky to me to be on the campaign trail with your fiance and your not divorced yet, but that might just be me. And that would belong in the other McCallister thread.
But I think getting down to it, it would make more interesting tv to have them married by Jason and for pushing that McCallister is more centre than right.

Yeah I uber love him now, and I'm so torn. I wish Eric all the success in the world yet its all about me (Kevin isnt my fav for nothing) and I so want him back here to continue this relationship with Kevin. They're so great together and you guys took the words out my mouth. It would be glaring for him, a minister to miss his own brother's wedding. Wonder if CBS would allow a cameo?

I dunno- I'm actually looking forward to seeing what Viva Laughlin is all about. It's based on a BBC show called Blackpool - look how well The Office fared!

The Office was lucky that it had the writers and the actors that it did. Coupling was a BBC show too, and that didn't survive the translation so well.

This is true- but I certainly think it helps the odds. As does star power like Hugh Jackman, Melanie Griffith and (of course!) Eric Winter...

I think it's hard to judge how well Viva Laughlin will do. I can't remember how well Blackpool did over here in the U.K (I don't actually know anyone who watched it when it was broadcast, only through the dvd's because of David Tennant) but it didn't have anything like the buzz surrounding The Office. The problem with Blackpool is that I found it fun because i'll watch David Tennant read the phonebook, but aside from that, the murder mystery was dull, the songs off putting in most places and at 6 episodes it still felt like it dragged. I keep thinking that much better shows have been cancelled and that Eric Winter will be back on Brother's and Sisters before the season is out. I (selfishly) hope.

I said this in The Meet Market, but I'll say it here too. VL is just as a bad as the critics say it is. I don't think it will last long and if it does last, it probably has a bit more to do with HJ's contract (he's getting a boatload of money whether it is a success or not), than with CBS having faith in it.

I see Hugh Jackman's judgement was in full Swordfish/Van Helsing mode when he signed on for this train wreck—that's an hour of my life I'll never get back. Wouldn't you think someone developing a musical series would make sure to cast a lead actor that could, y'know, sing?
Ah well, at least Lloyd Owen and Jackman are the ones who will be visible front and center when this thing crashes and burns, and Eric has another job already waiting for him. It's gonna take a lot of making out with Matthew Rhys to make up for that "Let it Ride" number, though.

Yep, I hate that he's going to be connected with this utter disaster. But its Hugh's name that is all over the media not Eric lol. I'm sure every actor has had projects they weren't too fond of or the critics. Eric will bounce back once he gets here, hopefully soon.

The ratings for Viva Laughlin have dropped even further and appear to be hurting Cold Case's numbers now as well.
From
PifeedbackBut CBS has sprung a major leak at 8 p.m., with the time period-premiere of musical drama Viva Laughlin at a mere (and fourth-place) 6.77 million viewers and a 1.2/ 2 among adults 18-49. Comparably, year-ago occupant The Amazing Race 10 averaged 10.89 million viewers and a 3.8/ 9 in the demo (on Oct. 22, 2006), with retention out of lead-in 60 Minutes (Viewers: #2, 11.14 million; A18-49: #2, 2.2/ 7 at 7 p.m.) of just 61 percent in viewers and 55 percent in the demo. Viva Laughlin also dipped in the second half-hour by 1.60 million viewers (7.57 to 5.97 million) and 29 percent in the demo (1.4/ 3 to 1.0/ 2). My prediction is that CBS will pull Viva Laughlin off the schedule either this week or definitely next week.

I don't think i've ever seen a show sink so fast. It's not even a week on the air. I suppose it was extraordinarily bad, though if there had been no singing, it probably would have lasted a few episodes longer! I wonder when we'll know if (When) Eric Winter will be back on B&S?
Lewisfan48
Oct 22, 2007 @ 1:37 pm
I believe they are filming 2.09, and 2.10 and 2.11 are currently being written. So I think the earliest we could expect is December, but more likely early in the new year. (2.10 will likely be the last ep to air prior to the winter hiatus.)

Ditto, I fell for him the minute I saw him on screen, like I said he just seemed to...fit right in. I hope B&S picked up the phone right after CBS hung up lol. I can wait as long as I know he's coming back. Otherwise all this wishing was for nothing, I wont be...happy.
I knew this show was a goner but didn't expect it to be gone this soon. I want to say poor Eric but that would be me being two faced, I want him back like yesterday. That show was atrocious perhaps if it was a good show then I would be sad.

Good for him, I wish much bigger and better things for him in the future. B&S was a missed opportunity but he should be happy that he garnered such popularity in such a short time.
