Talk about Nikki here!

Yay to Nikki getting her own thread. She does deserve it.

Too bad we won't get more eps because I like her dynamic with Johnny and Cliff and heck, even Jesse Joe. To see just how destructive she could get when she finds out about Cliff's bad boy ways would've been fun followed by the angsty, hot reunion I hate you/I love you sex.

Also she sets up a nice parallel to Johnny as the recovering teen alcoholic. To see her step up to help him when he slips would've been some nice character growth.

Man, I'm talking like this show isn't ending on July 4th. Bah.

To end, Yes, Cliff and Nikki deserve their own show. Seriously CW, rethink this show with Cliff as the psychotic lead (with voiceovers ala Profit/Dexter) and Nikki as the female lead. I'd watch it as a summer show. Seriously!

I loved the ending scene between Nikki and Jo in "What Liza Beneath". She seems very damaged, and I'd really like to explore her character more.

And I like that she's damaged, and a screw up, but not much of a whinger. And she doesn't seem to be blaming her problems on anyone else, which again, nice to see.

I love that she just wants to drink because it's fun, and easier. I thought they were going to go thr route of having her be abused by the oft-mentioned Dad or something, but we seem to have dodged that bullet!

Also, on a lot of other shows Nikki would be trying to drag Johnny down with her. I love that she respects his sobriety, while not subscribing to it herself (so far).

I mean, I just love the girl. I love her crazed, karaokaze performances; I love her unadulterated use of the country club's pool and liberal smoothie policy; I love that her and Cliff did it wild style; I just love her half-recovered transient self!

Yes to all the above. She is seriously my favorite character on TV right now. No contest.

I thought Tessa Thomson was pretty good in VMars, but I can't believe how much she's grown as an actress since then.

Thought I'd pop in to show Nikki (and the snarktastic Tessa Thompson) some much deserved Love. Her and Cliff make this show for me.





I wholeheartedly concur. She has seriously improved in leaps and bounds in such a short space of time. She can certainly hold her own that girl, add that to her sizzling chemistry with MC and she's unstoppable on this show and beyond.

All teen dramas must have boring characters as the lead ones - it's some unwritten rule I guess.

I'm surprised at how much I enjoy Nikki/Tessa considering I hated her on Veronica Mars.

ITA. I am shocked how much I love her on this show. I even think she is better looking now than when she was on VM.

Nikki is a really good character. She's likeable, interesting, and I'm really liking the actress.

Totally channelling Joey Potter though - I'm glad it was mentioned in the recap this week. It has been bugging me since she first showed up.

Her constant grinning bugs the heck out of me. Even when she's attempting to be serious, she's smiling. Gail O'Grady said she was a good little actress, but I'm not seeing it. I do like her chemistry with Cliff and Jessie Jo - but that could just be them and not necessarily her.
