[I've put this here, because it looks to be the best fit. I'm sure CB can move it if he thinks it belongs elsewhere...]

Now that VM is gone, but not forgotten; this thread is to add a scene you wished HAD been there, but wasn't; and discuss same.

Not an added quip, or mere snark; but a scene that would have enriched the Neptune universe. We can agree, I bet, that the #1 one was the Camelot cold open on the pilot, but we got that later. [I don't have just cut scenes in mind; I really mean unwritten but needed ones...]

Please describe:
a) When the scene would have been inserted.
b) What would have happened.
c) How it would have improved the show.

I have several, but I'll lead with the biggest one.

It would have been near the end of Not Pictured, after Logan slips out to leave V with Keith. Not RIGHT then, but after she recovers her composure.

"Dad; I need to tell you something, something I've hidden from you... Two and half years ago, at Shelly's party; I was roofied and raped. I've never told you because I was ashamed at first, but also I guess I was really afraid you would have killed someone; and then I'd have lost you as well as Lilly & Mom.

For a long time I didn't know who did it, but....last night, I finally figured it out; it was Cassidy.....that's how I got chlamydia...but now it's over. I'm sorry I didn't trust you enough to tell you before....

I think this scene would have strengthened the bond between Keith & Veronica; as he could better understand her consuming drive...

It MIGHT have come a year later, after Lamb was killed; then she could add the part about being told to see the wizard... [Keith WOULD have killed Lamb.....]

Discussion?

One kicker might be his response "I knew; Inga told me, but I wanted you to be comfortable bringing it up.." {She regularly underestimates Keith's savvy...}

That scene could have been very powerful, syme. It also could have come sometime during the first arc of S3.

Similarly, I would have liked to see more from Mac about Cassidy when she was going through all the relationship stuff towards the end of S3. It could have been a great scene to further show how close she and Parker (or she and Logan) had become.

I also think there was a missed opportunity with the storyline of Logan's half brother and I wish that would have taken place more slowly, over the course of a few episodes.

I think they missed a golden opportunity during the first arc by not delving more into Veronica's feelings about her own rape. It would have made it more personal, and I think a scene with Keith and Veronica where she finally admits it to him would have flowed seemlessly into the arc.

FWIW; my #2 unScene would be V telling Mac.

...missed a golden opportunity...

But I'm not sure how much of V's reaction we'd see. Part of V's persona is she is very closed with her feelings, closed to Keith, closed to her friends, and closed to herself... Thus the V-Mac scene itself would be a major crack in her facade.

I would have liked to have seen a scene this season, maybe near the end, or near the end of season 2 of Veronica taking that fortune cookie paper of off her mirror. It would have seemed fitting.

One thing I was waiting for all of Blast From the Past was for Veronica to go to Lilly's grave. She never once went but I thought around the anniversary of her death she should have at least gone and make snarky remark like "homecoming dances suck ass now Lilly, you need to come back".

Well if you watched the deleted scene's of season 1 you would see that she didn't go to homecoming they ended up doing the same thing she did with the fab. 4 the year{or 2 years?} before.

As I said above I would have liked to seen in it Blast from the Past in which Veronica did go to Homecoming with Duncan and saw Jackie with Logan.

I would have loved a scene anytime after Lilly's murder is solved where Weevil gives Veronica the spypen and she gets to read the message inside. Because, dammit, I want to know what was such a big deal that he risked imprisonment to retrieve it. Especially as it had nothing to do with Lilly's murder. My personal opinion? It was a message from Weevil to Lilly begging her to meet him on the night she was murdered. It wouldn't necessarily make him guilty of the murder but it wouldn't look good.

I hadn't thought of it, but we never saw Lily's grave, did we?

I guess part of that might be V does not mourn; she gets even.

I have to agree, as I always thought the fortune cookie would be addressed. Silly me.

Besides, if we saw it again, it probably would have ended up with Veronica attaching it to Piz's picture.

I always wanted to see a scene with Keith and Logan talking (or maybe not talking) about Keith's kindness to Logan when he was destroying the tapes. I was thinking Logan could be waiting in the living room for Veronica, and Keith could be waiting with him giving him that remember-how-I-own-a-firearm? look in his eyes.

I'm sure Keith wasn't exactly thrilled with Logan and Veronica getting back together, but it might have been nice for Keith to atleast acknowledge that Logan is almost always there for her when she needs him the most.

If only Logan didn't surf. Surfing ruins all the life saving.

Frankly, I would have liked to have seen a flashback to Logan and Dick (and because they weren't the title characters this would never have happened) about why Dick kept the secret about Tijuana. Why he had Logan's back no matter what. That always interested me, since I believe that Dick is a dick (though I do love him, yes I do), he has always stood by Logan.

I've always wanted to see what exactly happened to Mercer and Moe after Logan entered their jail cell. Did he beat the shit out of both of them or not? It was never shown or even referenced in later episodes.

I also wanted to see Lamb's funeral.

Also I would have also liked to see a scene before IAG, in which Veronica obsessed/dreamt about the dead kids. Even though I love IAG, it seemed so out of the blue that she started to have all these dreams. I know the dreams started when she broke into the bus, so I would have loved it if they had actually shown the way she broke into it.

Ya know, that's what I hear. But how else could we get the gratuitous use of Logan without a shirt? Nevermind, memories of CCBB and season three are all coming back to me. Thanks bfragrant!

Oh so that's why they made him surf, silly me :)
My pleasure.

Also, In TQaTW Logan comes to Veronica because he has done something horrible. I would have liked to see that conversation take place.

This isn't as good as actually showing us, but Rob Thomas said (if I recall correctly) the pen contained a mildly threatening letter to Lily from Weevil saying something like, "Take me back or else..."

I would have liked to see the first meeting between Duncan and Logan after the Aaron-is-the-murderer reveal. It seems like their shared pain should have trumped any jealousy issues.

They did have that fight; early in S2. "I hate him, too..."

But remember when Harron & Logan were in the same cell? In retrospect, I can see Logan attempting murder then and there....
