I am ashamed to say that whole exchange gave me wibbly feelings!
I was all ready for a great big Ten/Jack shippathon, but now... Master/Doctor all the way (probably because Tennant and Simm are such bloody great actors!)
I am fickle, shallow and I love teh pretty.

Can I just say that it's so awesome that this thread exists? Jack/Doctor was hot and all but Master/Doctor in all its D/S glory is the one for me.
And it looks like it'll continue with: -"All we have left is each other."
"Are you asking me out on a date?" (Who else could it be?)

Just as in the Characters area, the very title of this thread is a great big SPOILER to the folks in the US/Canada who haven't seen Utopia yet. I'm sure they will not appreciate being spoiled just by logging onto TWoP.
That being said, that whole "Use my name" (the "bitch" is implied) / "Master" was very dom/sub. *giggle*

Maybe turn it to FoeYay: Doctor/BadGuy love (UK pace)
I'm more of the opinion Doctor/Jack is worthy of a thread of it's own.
But, yeah, I rather enjoyed that exchange and I'm not much of a slasher to be honest. Heh.

Well considering the Master has been around for 30 odd years...it isn't a spoiler really...until you confirm that the title name is a spoiler.
But I guess putting UK pace up would then confirm it anyway...gah.

And I find it shocking, shocking to see no kinky fic between them yet.

I remember back when ABC was showing the classic eps that Pertwee and Delgado had some hoyay in the Mind of Evil. In one scene, the Master has the Doctor cuffed to a chair, and is all up close, invading his personal space.
I don't remember the details, but I made a note of it in the thread back then.

I wouldn't worry about the lack of kinky fan fic, it'll arrive soon enough.
Tennant and Simm together as the best enemies ever.
That "Use My Name"/"Master I'm Sorry" really has inspired a lot.
You should watch The Mark of The Rani. The Master seemed to enjoy seeing The Doctor strapped down.

So The Master has always been a fan of bondage play? Good to know.
And I find it extremely squicky that since the actual episode aired, I'm seeing Yana holding the Doctor's hand in a slightly different light.

We're still trying to tease from Promethea in the spoiler thread if The Master has The Doctor tied up and tortured. All she's said so far is "not tortured as such"... so there could still be bondage.
God, I'm sad! ::facepalm::

The impression I got from that is that the Doctor's tied up (which is awesome) and the life is sucked out of him, causing the age make-up to reappear (which is not so awesome as how I can have pretty hoyay with one of the pretties looking like an old man?)

As I was saying: They really do like each other, don't they? It would be quite cute if it weren't for the, you know, 'mortal enemies' part. I'm just hoping the writers don't make them brothers. I already feel guilty enough shipping two children's TV characters, I don't need the added guilt of shipping brothers as well.

It's a classic love/hate thing really. There's respect for each other's genius but hatred for how the other uses their smarts.
If they weren't brothers in the old series, here's hoping they're not here. It'll ruin the FoeYay thing for me.

Doesn't he have great hair? It was interesting, though, how in the flashbacks to "The Christmas Invasion" you could tell it was a completely different style--much less fluffy and less gelled. I hadn't noticed that before. I thought the differences were more subtle than that.

Funny.
Yeah, I guess that in the classic series, the rumor
of the two being brothers had floated around, but it was never confirmed or denied. The way they're playing it out on screen would make me seriously question that should it be that way; and yes I watch Heroes.

No to The Doctor/The Master being brothers. Their rivalry is good enough without that element added to it.

I agree. There was that throwaway line in S&J -- something like "Do you have a brother?" "No, not anymore, it's just me," but I don't need that brother to be the Master. I think having the Doctor and the Master be the last two of their kind is relationship enough.

Agreeing with arizonamyrie, I think the way they're playing it out indicates that they won't be brothers. Unless they're trying to be 'Ugly Betty' or 'Heroes'. Because it is a kids show, the extreme hoyay has to go over their heads slightly.

Even then, was it intended that way on "Heroes" or "Ugly Betty?" UB was more to show Daniel's shallowness about women, but I'm not sure about "Heroes." And, the JB/CE kiss was intended to show that a kiss between two men is okay, especially such good friends, and it shouldn't be homophobic.

John Simm and David Tennant? Oh yeah! RTD knows how to cast his pretty.
I almost feel like drawing Buffy/Faith comparisons more than anything from Heroes (haven't seen enough to really know why, that's all) or Ugly Betty.
Faith (when she was bad) was Buffy's shadow self. The Master serves the same dynamic with The Doctor as well. Suffice to say, it's working amazingly well so far.

I've just seen it. THE STORIES WERE TRUE!
How can that phone conversation be taken as anything but desire and reverence and lust on the Master's end? Seriously. The way his voice could barely contain its bliss when he realized who it was he was speaking to, like all his dreams just came true. And the rest of the conversation is just orgasmic, I'm sorry. How could the director and actors not be making conscious decisions to be fanning the fangirls and fanboys???
And no matter how batshit crazy the Master gets, the Doctor just wants to save him and hopefully run away together to some planet where they can be alone!

That beginning of the phone call was like phone sex, with the 'I'm going to come right now' style of delivery. I'm just wondering what Doctor/Male kiss we will get this week, JB said he kisses either The Doctor or Martha (Win-Win, like I said in Media thread) and there's been plenty of subtext building up for both Domster (not completely right but seemed fitting) and Dack. And we all know the age make-up won't last for long, The Master wants his pretty back just as much as we do.
And another little foyay moment, he blows Aged!Ten a kiss at the end. (Why on earth would it be directed at Martha? I cannot comprehend this.)

Okay, I watched the phonesex scene again (again!). Notice towards the end when The Doctor is asking the Master to stop (again). Tennant leans foreward so he's completely supplicant while the Master stays standing. Now it could be Tennant's subconscious reaction, it could be the fangirls reading way too much into it... or it could be very clever actors seeing how far they can get away with D/s imagery on a children's show.
Same in the Valiant's boardroom. The Doctor is thrown to the ground in front of the Master. He stays on his knees, making no attempt to stand up again, despite nobody telling him he can't get up...
::Paints decking and sees about installing a jacuzzi in the Happy/Dirty place::

I don't see why The Master won't change him back pretty quickly. I took the aging as a lesson to keep quiet and I'm sure The Master would rather have him young and pretty again. Can't exactly have fun torturing him if he's old and weak and ugly, can he? ;)

What I'm hoping happens is In the first 5 minutes, The Doctor decides to bring on a regeneration because he's old and helpless... and pretty much useless. The Master stops him by making him young and pretty again... and then he ties him up, does a Reinette Mind Meld and mentally tortures the shit out of him. It's only through Jack sharing his Lifeforce (via a full on mansnog) that The Pretty Young Doctor recovers!
And that ticks all my boxes where Tennant, Simm and Barrowman are concerned!
BTW, I'm having a housewarming in the Happy/Dirty place. Everyone's invited. There'll be dip.
