Might as well christen this was the latest spoilers from TVGuide's Ausiello:

Question: According to new Smallville spoilers at Kryptonsite.com, the status of one relationship will change in Episode 13, "Crimson." Do you have any info on which relationship?— Will

Ausiello: All I'll say is it's a couple we've been rooting for, and Clark is the reason the relationship changes. Speaking of the action-packed "Crimson" episode, Clark gets infected with Red Kryptonite and goes on a massive kissing spree. (It is Valentine's Day, after all.) Among his victims: Two women whose names start with "L." By the end of the day, one of them won't remember anything and another will have proof that Clark possesses some seriously super DNA

Question: Do you have any new Smallville spoilers?— Karen

Ausiello: More "Crimson" scoop: at the end of the episode, there's a big twist concerning the bun in Lana's oven. And Martian Manhunter returns. Sort of.

Question: Smallville spoilers?— Charles

Ausiello: "Crimson" also features the third Lois Lane to find herself flying over Metropolis' skyline. The episode is gonna be huge, people. Huge! And I suspect Tom Welling fans are going to love seeing sexy Clark back.

It's already been mentioned in the discussion thread, but to help consolidate the latest spoilers, the following was mentioned by Comics Continuum:

* A baby's nursery set has been built for upcoming episodes -- and it is mostly blue.
* Lois will be getting an interesting tattoo.

From K-site:

Epsode 6.14 - Trespass
  • Lois Lane (Erica Durance) does not appear in this episode.
  • It's been a while since we've had a "Lana has a stalker" story, so this episode should fill that void that we know we've all had.

Episode 6.15 - Freak
  • Lois Lane (Erica Durance) and Martha Kent (Annette O'Toole) do not appear in this episode
  • A young man named Tobias was blinded in the second meteor shower, but he was left. with a gift - the ability to sense other meteor-affected people, with a kind of a "freak-dar." When someone who is infected by meteors is in his vicinity, they glow green in his eyes.
  • This episode will be directed by Michael Rosenbaum.

Ask Ausiello 13/12

Question: Last week, you said the changed relationship on Smallville is a couple "we" have been rooting for. Well, I have been rooting for Clark and Lois.— Paul Kinney

Ausiello: It's not Clark and Lois. And the change isn't for the better.

Question: Can you tell us something more about this bun-in-the-oven twist you mentioned regarding Lana's baby on Smallville?— Angie

Ausiello: No. Just wait. It’s hot. Happy holidays!

Question: You mentioned last week that in the upcoming Smallville episode "Crimson," the third Lois Lane will find herself flying over the Metropolis skyline. Care to expound?— Brad Sherwood

Ausiello: It won't be a solo flight.

New Spoilers for Justice up at Kryptonsite.

UPDATED 1/15/07 : Clark does have a code name - "Boy Scout."
- Lex figures out that Clark was one of the ones who blew up the 33.1 facility; but when he tells his father this, Lionel comes up with an alibi that Clark couldn't have been there, because he was having dinner with him and Martha.
- Lois and Oliver plan a trip to Monte Carlo, but they end their relationship suddenly when he tells her that he is leaving Metropolis, possibly for good.
- Cyborg has broken up with his girlfriend (from "Cyborg") and was living on the streets, depressed, when Green Arrow found and recruited him.
- Bart and Aquaman have both been working for Ollie for a while.
- Lex is suspicious that the topic of Clark Kent always seems to come up when he and his father discuss "people with abilities."
- Bart incessantly hits on Chloe. She is flattered, but she reminds him that she has a boyfriend now. Bart's flirting seems to make Clark a bit possessive and jealous.
- When Bart is captured, Lex asks Bart who he is working for. (It's HRG, isn't it? Kidding... it's Ollie.)
- Our tipster says the episode is "awesome."

There's also some new pictures for Labyrinth Here.

Kryptonsite also reports that Erica Durance will not be appearing in episode 16 i.e. 'Promise.'

From Ask Ausiello;

Question: I'm in desperate need of some Smallville scoop!— Ashley

Ausiello: Say goodbye to Lois — temporarily, that is. Erica Durance is taking a few weeks off to do Ecstasy, a feature based on the novel by Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting). I think she'll miss a total of three episodes.

Question: Oh, Great Guru of Gratuitous Gaff, you intimate that we will see the death of a Smallville heroine, aka **lo* in "Labyrinth," but if this is a "what if" episode, then it stands to reason that this is by no means permanent.— Jason G.

Ausiello: If everyone were as smart as you, writing this column would be a lot less fun

The Lex & Lana Wedding: When Will It Be?

Lex and Lana are now engaged, and now the big question is "When will the wedding be?"

While a lot of TV weddings wait for season finales, we're hearing rumblings that it may happen as early as the February-airing episode "Promise."

TV Guide's Mike Ausiello says a wedding is coming, but that doesn't necessarily mean anyone's getting married. We don't know what the final outcome of that one will be, but it's a safe bet that Lana's past feelings for Clark may get in the way...

From Comics Continuum:

Now that the "Justice" episode of The CW's Smallville has aired -- with Green Arrow, Aquman, Cyborg and Impulse off on a global mission to stop 33.1 bases -- the open-ended conclusion begs the question:

Will there be a Green Arrow or Justice League spin-off?

The Continuum reached Smallville executive producer Al Gough on Friday and he responded with the following comment:

"No plans for the moment for a Green Arrow spin-off. Sorry," he said. "No plans to bring the entire Justice League back this season but you may see several members toward the end of the season!"

This is the first corroboration of an earlier Continuum report that DC heroes would return to the show this season. This will likely happen in the 17th and/or 19th episodes of the season.

A title for episode #6-17 and confirmation that the Lex/Lana wedding will be in #6-16

I also learned tonight that #6-16 and #6-17 will air in late March, so the break between late February and mid-April won't be as big as usual.
KatieFlirth
I think many of us had seen that coming, but we quite didn't believe it, but as Kristin Kreuk is dishing about it, maybe it's time to go all wild about the specs (I think Aussiello mentioned a big twist regarding the baby a while ago, and some just assumed it was Clark's. Guess it's worse than that. It's X-Files all over again. Good grief).

From Sweet. There might not be a baby....

And the way she delivers the spoilers is just too funny. Girl sure is a trooper (and even manages to sound amused when talking about this crappy story line).

From Ask Ausiello's January 24 column:

Question: Wow! "Justice" was, like, the best Smallville episode ever! Are there any plans for a spin-off?— Jeremie

Ausiello: "We've been talking about it," CW boss lady Dawn Ostroff told me. "I don't know if it's going to happen. It's hard; there are so many pieces to the puzzle, [including] rights issues. But it's something that we talked about. It's not going to happen immediately, but I wouldn't say never. Maybe somewhere down the road."

"Combat" is about a nasty fight promoter who sets up battles between some KryptoFreaks from the Phantom Zone(3 different ones I believe) and some prisoners. Lois gets in the middle of things while she investigates. Meanwhile, a doctor performs a special task for Lex, involving Lana, in exchange for a hefty payment.
eta....Clark gets himself put in jail and he finds a way to fight the toughest Zoner. Also it looks like Lana loses her baby. Seems she begins to experience great pain while she and Lex are on his jet. They make an emergency landing in China. When she wakes up in the hospital Lex has to tell her they lost the baby.
In JL news, seems they have been busy, blowing up 8 of the 12 33.1 facilities.

Smallville: Your Burning Questions Answered!

Tom Welling and Kristin Kreuk, Smallville
Three weeks ago, TVGuide.com asked you, the Smallville fans, what questions you would like to ask series cocreator Al Gough. The response was, yep, super. So stupendous, in fact, that Gough has agreed to field some of the best queries each Thursday during February sweeps. So, with an eye on tonight's new episode (8 pm/ET, on the CW), here is his current take on the fates of the series at large, Chloe and — of course — the currently fractured Clark and Lana romance.
Why did you kill off the character of Raya (played by Pascale Hutton) so soon? I really liked her immediately and found her relationship with Clark to be very much like that of a sister. Are there any plans to somehow have her come back? Also, was she supposed to be a version of Supergirl? — DarcyEW
Al Gough: As enticing as it would be to have Clark embark on a relationship with a Kryptonian counterpart, it would have been an impediment to his destiny. Part of what propels Clark to his fate as Superman relies on the fact that ultimately he has to face his challenges alone. Sorry, Darcy, Raya's not a version of Supergirl. Supergirl is actually Clark's first cousin in the comics.

Will we ever get a full-on romantic Clark-Lana relationship going again? It doesn't bother me that Lana is not privy to Clark's secrets. (Yes, I'm in the minority here.) — Masque
Gough: Masque, you'll have to keep watching for that answer.

At this stage, are you thinking about Season 7? Is it officially the last season? If so, will that change the way you approach the story lines? — Beatle
Gough: We're definitely thinking of Season 7. Lots of interesting ideas are shaping up for what's sure to be another great season. None of us are ruling out more seasons to come, so no, it's not officially the last season.

When will you give Kristin Kreuk some lighter/comedic moments to play? I bet she would be great at it! — Knotnamed
Gough: There are a few lighter moments to look forward to, but this season's story line puts Lana in a very difficult place — not one with much room for comedy. On the other hand, we think you'll see a new depth to Lana and some stellar performances by Kristin coming up this year.

First, I want to say that I love Smallville and it is the best show on TV. My question is: In "Legacy," what happened to the key when it went to the wall? And how did Dr. Swann (Christopher Reeve) get a hold of it? — Tomallison
Gough: Thanks for the kind words. You've gotta bust out those Season 3 DVDs and take a closer look. The key was absorbed into the cave wall — but not for long. Dr. Swann was a man with unlimited resources and amazing intellect. Through his research into all things Kryptonian, he was able to recover that important octagon without anyone knowing.

What might you have in store for Chloe (Allison Mack)? Are we going to see any kind of change in her career? Upward mobility? Is she going to stick with journalism until the series' end? — Ferrus
Gough: Chloe has a lot of interesting challenges to face in the coming episodes. This is a watershed time for her, and she'll be faced with some life-changing decisions. Of course, all of Chloe's mobility will be upward; she's not one to move sideways. And how could you even think that Chloe would ever give up on journalism?

Will Martha break off her relationship with Lionel? And when will Clark learn that Lionel knows about the Phantom Zone? — Kaye2
Gough: Funny you should ask: These questions will all be answered soon in upcoming episodes.

Over the last few years, Mr. Tom Welling has become quite an accomplished actor. Additionally, he has proven to be a talented director. Having said that, I have one question: Is Clark ever going to take off his shirt again? — Emmelinebelle
Gough: We agree with your sentiments about Tom Welling's multifaceted talent. And to answer your question: Everyone's got to take their shirt off at least once in a while.

Why won't you guys make Clark and Chloe an official romantic couple? What's holding you back? I guess I'm just frustrated from years of hoping and wishing and longing. — Clear227
Gough: Clark and Chloe are always going to be the closest of friends. Romance might spoil that. Not to mention Jimmy — she's really stolen his heart. How could we do that to him?

Are Lana and Lex going to get married? I don't want them to because, first of all, I don't think they belong together, and secondly, they never even really knew each other in the comics. I know you don't always follow the comics, but I think you should on this one. — Tomcat22
Gough: This question may be answered sooner than you think. There are lots of differences between the comics and the show, and that's what makes Smallville unique. After all, there were no meteor freaks in the comics, either.

Will Clark go through his training like he said he would, at the end of this season? And if he does, how will that affect him next season? — Milton Fine
Gough: Milt, that's a very good question. When you look back at the comic mythology, you'll notice that Clark's training involved years of solitude. Not exactly the ingredients for scintillating television. But every hero has his trials, and Clark will have to endure his own, whether at the end of this season or sometime later.

Will Jimmy ever return? He has potential outside of being an obstacle for Clark-Chloe. Plus, we know Jimmy has to be there when Clark and Chloe are working at the "Daily Planet" as reporters. — Bluediamond
Gough: The addition of Aaron Ashmore to the cast has been one of our favorite parts of this season. He's been a terrific embodiment of the character, and we happen to agree with you about Jimmy's potential. Keep watching, and we have a feeling you may just see more of him in the future.

The Laxana wedding is a fact people

Passionate for Partition a KK interview and she is confirming that a 8th season is in works

Kristin Kreuk, in a strapless wedding dress, has just tossed a bouquet over her shoulder after coming down down the steps of a church at Burrard and 15th with Michael Rosenbaum.

"Lana's pregnant right now with Lex's child, so they just got married," she says, ducking back inside the warm church for a quick chat. The wedding is the latest plot twist in her sixth season as Lana Lang in the WB's Smallville, the TV series that made her famous. "It's getting convoluted -- the end of the season'll be interesting."
..

After that, she'll keep her options open. "They're talking about eight. I'll probably stick around until the end of seven and then my contract is up. I think I might move on, but I don't know, we'll see what happens.

From Comics Continuum (2/5/07)

Annette O'Toole, who plays Martha Kent on The CW's Smallville, told The Continuum that she doesn't really see her character filling the void of advice-giver after Jonathan's death.

"Clark's really his own man now," O'Toole told The Continuum. "She's really more of a friend than someone who tells him what to do."

O'Toole said she misses John Schneider, who played Jonathan. "Especially on the plane trips," she said.

She also noted that she's wary about Martha's relationship with Lionel. "You never know what's going on with him," she said.

"Progeny" is not about Lana's baby, but in fact it's about Moira, Chloe's mother. Turns out she pretended to be mentally ill in order to separate herself from Chloe. Why? Well Moira was irradiated during the infamous meteor shower way back when and has super brain powers of her own. She is taken away from the asylum by Lex who hopes to use her powers for his own gain. He forces her to use her powers against two of his captive superfreaks, Alexi, who can create orbs of pure energy and toss them like baseballs, and Davidson, who can walk thru walls.
Moira doesnt hide that fact she despises Lex and is able to mindcontrol Alexi and Davidson and tries to use them to kill Lex

Next installment of interview with Al Gough at TV Guide:

A lot of fans originally started watching Smallville because of the promotion of Clark Kent and Lex Luthor, and the much-talked-about friendship of legend. Epic stuff! Do you feel you have done justice to this friendship? Did you have the story mapped out from the beginning and then follow it to the letter? Or did your "Clex" plans adjust over time? Are there any Clex times you wish you had done differently? — OriginalClexFan
Gough: Thanks for your questions, OriginalClexFan. We've always known that the friendship between Clark Kent and Lex Luthor was destined to disintegrate, as the Superman mythology foretells. The interesting thing is how, like any relationship, there are ups and downs. We feel that as their friendship has taken a turn for the worse this season, there's a part of each of them that regrets the loss. No story, especially one that spans six seasons, is going to be mapped out to the letter, but in answer to your questions, no, there aren't any "Clex times" we wish we had done differently. As far as having done justice to this friendship, we'll let the fans be the judge.

Will any other cast members be attempting to direct the show in the future? And if you could get anybody to guest-star, who would it be? — Bluejay
Al Gough: Michael Rosenbaum actually directed "Freak," which airs Feb. 15. Tom [Welling] will definitely be doing another one next year, and we'd certainly love to have Michael take another one as well, but that'll be up to him. No other cast members have expressed an interest, but we are always open to the idea! In terms of guest stars, we've been very lucky to get a lot of our dream list, including Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder, Terence Stamp, Michael McKean and James Marsters, as well as the Justice League and Martian Manhunter. Alas, no Bruce Wayne. We would still love to have Dean Cain (Lois & Clark) on the show (who knows, maybe next season) and Wonder Woman. [For more on Dean Cain, keep reading.]

Do the writers start the season with a blank slate and just write the episodes as they go? Or are certain events you'd like to have happen spaced throughout the year, and are episodes written to work up to those events? — Scooby Doobey
Gough: [Cocreator] Miles [Millar] and I sit down at the beginning of each season and come up with "signposts" for the season in terms of significant events and where we'd like the characters to be after 22 episodes. We then sit with the writers for the first week and vet these ideas. Nothing is set in stone, and a lot of times things change or get moved around, and new (and often better) ideas emerge. We are blessed to have a tremendous writing staff, and together we all build the season. That is the wonderful thing about TV as opposed to writing features: the interaction with so many talented writers and producers. Miles and I feel like we coach the ultimate all-star team!

A while back, Dean Cain was rumored to be possibly guest-starring on Smallville. Any chance we'll see him? Also, are there any other Superman actors (from any of the series) you would like to have on the show (like Noel Neill, Jack Larson, etc)? — Jasonmajor32
Gough: We'd love to have Dean on the show. Like I said above, maybe Season 7 will be the season when that happens. Fingers crossed! Noel and Jack are possibilities as well!

I was wondering if we were going to get a glimpse of the last days of Krypton soon. — LOSTville24
Gough: If you look at those past episodes closely, you'll see a glimpse of the last days of Krypton. Yeah, I know, it's brief, but we can tell you one thing: If we ever do an episode about the last days of Krypton, it's sure to be the biggest-budget episode ever. If we can't make it look absolutely mind-blowing and stunning on a TV budget, there's no use in going there, don't you agree?

Will Michael McKean return as Perry White next season? I would love for his character to team up with Martha Kent (Annette O'Toole, Michael's real-life better half) against the Luthors. Also, I think he should be her love interest. Martha deserves somebody better than Lionel. The McKeans would be hot together on screen! — Kaye2
Gough: We'd love to see Michael McKean return again as Perry White. He was wonderful in that role. Michael has had a hot streak on Broadway over the last few years, appearing in a string of hit plays, and those theater commitments make scheduling tough. But if a great story comes along and the timing is right, you never know.

Do you have a long-term plan for Lionel? Because in seasons 4 through 6, it has been really confusing. Would you be able to clarify whether Lionel was actually good in seasons 4 and 5, or faking it? Lex recently claimed that Lionel was deluding himself. So he was faking? It would be nice to get confirmation. — LexAndLana
Gough: Of course we have a long-term plan for Lionel! He's a character who's always going to keep those around him guessing, and that's the point. Above all, John Glover's brilliant portrayal of the character shows that Lionel Luthor is human, just like the rest of us. And no human is totally good, nor totally evil.

Is Lana ever going to find out Clark's secret? I love Tom and Kristin [Kreuk]'s chemistry. — Faraway17
Gough: We agree that Tom and Kristin do have great chemistry as actors, but you'll have to keep watching to see how much Lana will find out.

Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to answer our questions. Do you have any more spotlight episodes planned for the Martian Manhunter, as you did when the Green Arrow had his arc? Also, is there a finite number of Zoners in the world, or are more out there than we've been led to believe? And could you give a quick "yes," "no" or "maybe" to the possibilities of the following: Mon-El, the return of Brainiac, Green Lantern/Hal Jordan, Bizarro Clark, and a true alternate-universe episode. — Derfel85
Gough: Martian Manhunter will be an ongoing presence this season and perhaps into next. There are a finite number of Zoners, or so we are led to believe. But who knows, there may be more! And to answer your last question: yes, no, no, yes, B, D, maybe.... Oh, heck, I was never very good with standardized tests!!

Hi, Mr. Gough, you are super! Will Chloe die or go crazy? — Yogurtyoda
Gough: Why do you assume she's got to do one or the other? Maybe she'll buy a little house in the suburbs. Did you ever think of that?

I have read that the comic book Warrior Angel, mentioned in "Reunion," has many speculating that Lionel will die in Episode 16 ("Promise"). Is the Warrior Angel mention a clue to what happens to Lionel? My second question is in regards to the favorite Triple-LLs (Lex, Lana and Lionel): I have noticed there has yet to be a scene with just the three of them. Is there a reason why this hasn't been done, and will it happen this season? — Kpjmm
Gough: Lionel plays a key factor in Episode 16, but of course, this is a no-spoiler zone. Interesting that you noticed that there are no scenes with just the three LLs. Maybe we planned it that way, or maybe it was just happenstance....

Part 2 of Gough's interview with IF (I only brought over the stuff that deals directly with Smallville, since he also talks a bit about Mercy Reef):

iF MAGAZINE: There are rumors of a JUSTICE LEAGUE/METROPOLIS series. Is this still a possibility?

AL GOUGH: There are no spin-off plans at the moment of any kind. The “Justice” episode was incredibly well received by fans and critics alike, but alas, right now, the network doesn't seem to have an appetite for a new superhero series.

iF: Martha Kent's election to the Senate seems to have put her on the backburner a bit more than in previous seasons. Will we be seeing a bit more of her later in the season, given her growing romantic attachment to Lionel?

GOUGH: The Martha/Lionel relationship will come to a head by the end of the season, and you will understand a lot more of Lionel's true motivations this season. I believe people will be surprised.

iF: Jimmy's breakup with Chloe signals a return of the crush Chloe's had on Clark all these years. Given that we know he ends up with Lois, will the two of them ever be together, even briefly?

GOUGH: Don't give up hope on Jimmy and Chloe.

iF: We've seen Lana slowly turning to "the Dark Side" this season, both with her engagement to Lex and her realization in "Subterranean" that "money is power". The revelation that she's pregnant has been a shock, as well. Is there anything you can tell us about the direction Lana's headed in?

GOUGH: Lana's had an interesting season and has really evolved as a character this year. Keep watching, I think there are some interesting twists in store in her relationship with both Lex and Clark. I don't think she has "gone to the dark side," but she has grown up this season and I think deals with the situation in a more mature manner. Lex always feared he would corrupt her, but give Lana some credit; she's stronger than you think.

From K-site

and we already kind of new this about Progeny (see above):

UPDATED 2/8/07 (Thanks S.A.M.!): The guest character this week is Moira Sullivan, better known as the mother of Chloe. It turns out that she pretended to be ill to separate herself from Chloe. Why? It turns out that Moira was iiradiated during the meteor shower and has super brain powers of her own. Lex takes her away from the asylum with hopes of using Moira's powers for his own gain. He forces her to use her powers against two of his captive super-freaks, Alexi and Davidson, who have the powers to create orbs of energy and walk through walls, respectively.
- Moira despises Lex and mind-controls Alexi and Davidson to use them to kill Lex.
- Our own commentary here: Wouldn't Chloe have uncovered this information about her mother? And why was her mother in Smallville in 1989? We'll have to see...
- Don't be surprised if there's some stunt casting involved in the role of Chloe's mother.
- Davidson hurts Lana, who is taken to the Smallville Medical Center and tells Clark not to worry, that she has miscarried the baby anyway. Lana also decides to get some tests done for herself to find out what happened with her pregnancy.
- Erica Durance and John Glover do not appear in this episode.

Episode #6-20: Title Unknown

UPDATED 2/8/07: Lois Lane factors heavily into this episode.

From S.A.M: "Little more info. Seems Moira and Chloe had been visiting her grandparents in Granville and driving home when the meteor shower hit them."
