For all of those who spend their nights awake wondering
'whatever happened to Corey Haim and Corey Feldman? and how are they doing?', well, wonder no more! A&E (a channel who's quickly de-evolving into a whole bunch of cheesy reality shows) will bring you 'The Coreys'. Hey, if it helped Flavor Flav's comeback, it can't hurt, right?
More details
HERE!
Maybe someone can give Molly Ringwald and the guy who played Duckie a call for the next A&E show? How many has-beens can we bring back?

This appears to be the basis for the show as reported by
Zap2it.com.
As fans of "The Surreal Life" know, Corey Feldman has settled down with the love of his life, Susie. He's married and living in a quiet suburban community and, as fans of those Trivial Pursuit commercials know, he's even started acting again. But when the entirely less stable -- as well as broke and homeless -- Corey Haim moves in with the newlyweds, how can hilarity possibly not ensue?

I asked this question in the Surreal Life thread but nobody answered me so I am going to ask it here too....I read on another site that Corey Feldman found out that the baby he and Suzie had wasn't his, has anybody elase heard anything about this??

On the Girls Next Door forum, there is a link to a book by Jill Ann Spaulding, who talks about her experiences at the Playboy mansion. At one of the parties, she met Corey Feldman and his wife, whom she described as really sweet. They invited her to a party, and she described a circle of young, attractive couples they were friends with. She later learned those other couples were swingers when they propositioned her. She doesn't say whether Corey Feldman and wife were swingers, but since those were their good friends, it stands to reason. Also, if the baby wasn't Corey's. . .well, you get my point. I wonder if they will ever address this on the show.

Haim can fall in a hole as far as I'm concerned. But Feldman just makes me sad sad sad. He was a good, solid actor, back in the day. If he just wasn't so messed up, he could have kept working in quality films, second or third lead, maybe even a sitcom, or a TV drama even. But he's got more issues than a newstand, and now people have to be told that he's "started acting again".
Interesting, isn't it, that of the four guys from Stand By Me, the one who's most successful (and alive) now was the throwaway fourth character then.

Will Wheaton has been pretty successful, I would say as successful as Jerry O'Connell. He was in Star Trek: Next Generation as well as doing a lot of writing. Jerry O'Connell I only know of doing Crossing Jordan and going with John Stamos' ex whatever her name is.
Lost Boys would be the movie the Corey's were in that I'd say everyone else kind of dropped off the face of the earth with the exception of Keifer. I loved that movie by the way-especially the soundtrack.

He's the white girl's Flava Flav!
I loved both Corey's. I spent a whole year wanting to be a Goonie, trying to find "Goonie Adventures", etc. I also loved Lost Boys. My husband will prob. tune in because "Liscense to Drive" is one of his favorite movies (and he's not embarassed to admit it).

And Jami Gertz. She's had steady work since then, though CBS cancelled her sitcom. Bah!
I spent a whole year wanting to be a Goonie...
Just a year? I'm still trying, and I'm 20.
On topic, this sounds like an awesome trainwreck. It is nice to know that Feldman is infinitely more sane than he was a few years ago. I'm glad he got his life back on track. As for Haim, well he's been a mess for so long, I don't know if he can come back from it. But if so, I hope he does.
I hope this doesn't turn into another
Breaking Bonaduce. I don't want to see Haim threatening to kill himself every week and snorting coke in Feldman's living room. That's not my idea of entertainment.

OMG ME TOO! This is just so bad its good and I will be watching the hell out of this show. I may even tape it so that I can watch it again and again and again. I was a teen during their hey day, which puts me in my 30s, and I loved me some Corey Haim. Its really a shame that his life turned out so horrible. Though Corey F didn't fair all that well either. That said, I'm still a fan and I watch The Lost Boys at least once a year. I saw it in the theater twice. Once, all by myself. I own The Goonies and watch that once a year as well.
I know this whole moving in with each other is just a plot for the show, but I don't even care.

The Lost Boys is badass. I own the DVD and the soundtrack and ALWAYS watch it when it's on TV. For a while, my mother was obsessed with the
Cry, Little Sister song and if we were ever driving around in her car together, she'd blast it on the stereo. The entire cast is awesome (except for the other Frog brother, whatever happened to him?) and I was sad to hear Barnard Hughes, who played the grandfather, died a while back.
License To Drive is good too, but not a favorite like TLB.
Anyway, topic, I could care less about Feldman, but for some reason I really root for Haim now that he's (allegedly) sober. He was too cute in
Lucas. I hope he busts out the Casio keyboard at some point.

liamarie75, not that it means much, but that picture is from a few years ago or whenver they released TLB on DVD. I'm not sure of the year it was released, but in that picture I know they were signing copies on the day it was released.
I hope that since he knew he was going to be on TV that he tried to fix himself up, lose a little weight, dye his hair a decent color. SOMETHING.
Haim was a decent enough actor in Silver Bullet and Lucas. How he got worse at it is a mystery. I saw a special on him and I know that he had to leave school once he started getting popular, but I guess his parents didn't see to it that he got home schooled or anything. They probably thought he'd make enough money to keep them all rich for the rest of their lives, not realizing that they just gave him opportunities to be self-destructive.

It includes the Cyndi Lauper
Goonies R'Good Enough video, as well as many of the deleted scenes (remember the octopus?!) from the film. You can get the DVD for $9.99 in stores, and it's definitely worth it.
Topic? Haim vs. Feldman, who would win? My bet? Feldman.

Hey, I'm not knocking Wheaton or Phoenix! But the fact is, Wesley Crusher was a very hated character, and besides that, (I thought) Wheaton just sucked in the role. And Phoenix...don't make me cry. He was a brilliant actor, but he blew it up his nose, and that's that. And Keifer was in SBM as well; should have mentioned that, but I was concentrating on the four leads.
Topic: When I and the Coreys were teens, I was young enough to crush on a teen idol (Feldman only, couldn't bear Haim, except for Lucas) but old enough to read between the lines of the press they got, and know that they had some really messed up families. And Feldman got emancipated, right?
Also, I have to amend what I said about Feldman's acting. He had charisma for days, to be sure, and unique looks which still haven't gone to seed. But in DALD, I remember even then thinking, "Waitaminut...He's supposed to be channeling Jason Robards' character -- so why isn't he acting any different?" That was about the time that he was hanging with Michael Jackson, too, and co-opted many of his dance moves and his clothing style (I HOPE that's all that happened). And also with Sam Kinison, who set him up with a hooker. Kinison said it was his first time, too; who knows.
I think what happened to Meredith Salenger was simply that she forgot to get on the A-list before she wrecked her reputation with drugs. I could be wrong, though; correct me if I am.

Corey Haim ain't looking too bad these days
Hmm.Well I stand corrected. He actually does look like he has lost some weight. Unless that is the magic of photoshop. Well he knew that if he was going to be promoting some "look where we have been over the last 20 yrs and where we are now" show, he needed to look better than how he was looking when he was interviewed on VH-1 for that Greasted Teen Stars show. Good for him. Either way, I am very excited to see this show. Should be some good awesomely bad fun!

I wonder if Haim's bloat came from some sort of medication to help keep him off of drugs. Wasn't he doing the methadone route at some point?
He was always my favorite of the two. Feldman just seemed uggh to me and then his whole Micheal Jackson obsession didn't help him in my eyes at all.
I'll probably watch this show, only to see if Haim calls Feldman out on all of his trash talking about Haim in some interviews.

You may have a point,
squirrleyQ. He does have a very bloated look, like someone who is on some meds. He might be on some anti-depressants (as many people who abuse drugs are usually self-medicating some undiagnosed mental illness such as depression), which can have horrible weight gain side effects.

Ugh, you just know the whole show is going to be Feldman "helping" Haim while secretly feeling very superior and bending down so we call all pat him on the back for being such a swell guy. I was always a Haim girl growing up and it's a shame what happened to him. Feldman? I never felt the love for him. He just seems so slimy to me. And then seeing him on The Surreal Life cemented it. Total cheese ball. I still remember him lecturing everyone about eating meat while wearing leather shoes. Numb nut.
