Didn't see a topic for The Henry Rollins Show, so I figured I'd start one.
I have been watching this show since it was Henry's Film Corner and I must say I prefer this format. Henry has always had a certain charisma that I think lends itself to the talk show format. He is naturally inquisitive and definately well-informed and is able to engage his guests in an interesting manner.
So far my favorite interview has been the one with Oliver Stone, if only because Stone was allowed to speak about his films rather than simply defend them, which is what he normally has to do.
This most recent episode featured an interview with Penelope Spheeris and it was interesting that they didn't downplay the fact that there is a history between Rollins and Spheeris. Black Flag of course was featured in the documentary " The Decline of the Western Civilization".
The musical guests have been good, but so far he hasn't featured any act that I am personally a fan of.

It comes on the IFC channel tonight but it usually airs on the weekend. It's a good show. There have been about 6 episodes so far.

I used to adore Rollins but I'm pretty meh on him now. He does pick good musical guests - I loved Sleater-Kinney. I think he's a bit too stiff during the interviews.

cheeztoast, I agree about Henry's interview skills. I watched the ep with Eddie Izzard (LOVE HIM!) and it was incredibly low-energy and dare I say, boring. And Eddie is never boring. Maybe they were both having an off night.

I thought the Patton Oswalt one was good tonight. Patton made som very good points when he was tlaking about Americans' willful ignorance. And Henry's letter to the FCC was good as well.

I don't have IFC. I used to back when I had digital. Oh, well.
ETA: I just saw some clips from his show on YouTube. I saw his letter to Ann Coulter and Laura Bush. Hilarious. And I saw the interview with Bill Maher. I've liked Bill. I think I might him a little less if he was serious about him being friends with Ann Coulter.

The season finale this week was pretty good, although I'm not personally interested in Matt Dillon I guess his new work about Charles Bukowski was apropo of IFC (and if I remember right from my Blackflag fan days Henry was really into him as well). The thing I really like was the Rollins band performance. I think Henry's voice sounds better than it ever has. His band is, I think, the best example of why it's important to see the bands he shows perform - Rollins band is (IMO!) almost painful to listen to just on its own (with the possible exception of the melodically lighter - and with different band mates - Nice) but live they're pretty mesmerizing. I hope he gets another season. And if he does I hope to god they bring Heidi back into the studio. Her sparring with Henry was great fun and even though I like her a lot the girl simply can't deliver a line.

I think my favorite segment of this series is the animated Rollins stand up bits - very creative. I also love Rollins' reaction shots during the interviews. I hope this is renewed for next season - good job Henry!

Saw the season 2 premiere last night.
Janeane Garofalo just got about 20% less interesting to me.

Yeah, I watched the show and felt the same about Janeane Garofalo. Being a technophobe or technoilliterate or techno-I-don't-care does nothing but make you appear like a dink to me. A self involved, afraid of change, clinging to the past dink. I did like the fact that I think it was filmed in her actual apartment though.
Over-all the show was disappointing. I find Marilyn Manson interesting, but their conversatin wasn't and I simply don't get Peaches. Didn't Wendy O already do that act?
I miss the movie reviews.
