Since
CB said we could continue this discussion in this forum, I figured I would go ahead and start the thread.
In case you didn't get it from the title, don't come in here if you don't want to be SPOILED!
In case it's not clear from the title, this thread is for discussion of the spoilers from
Ausiello's TV Guide blog such as:
****** is ******** at graduation.

I'm winging it here, but maybe it's Beaver is murdered at graduation? Please, please, don't let this be true.
***** and ******* have sex.
...Logan and Kendall? Because, ew.
But if the spec that Logan and Veronica are romantically linked is true, then maybe it could be Aaron?
***** fails to show up at *** ******* and leaves ******** waiting.
Keith/Logan fails to show up at the airport and leaves Veronica waiting.

The only two that I think are iron-clad are:
Weevil is arrested at graduation.
Keith captures Woody.
I'm pretty sure that some others are correct, but not 100%.

I don't think we need spoiler tags in this thread because it's basically a spoiler thread.
Based on the spoilers we already have, I think it's probably Weevil is arrested at graduation.

I stated in the "speculation with spoilers" thread that I think one of the clues works out to:
Mac tells Veronica that Beaver (has/had) made a bomb.
Since it looks like Tina Majorino will continue to be important in the series next season, it would make sense to give her some heavy lifting to do in the season finale, like ratting (haha) out her ex-boyfriend/by-then-current-boyfriend after they lose their virginities to one another.

Are people fairly certain about:
Anything that reveals that ******** and ***** are ************ ****** at the end of the episode.
being....
Anything that reveals that Veronica and Logan are romantically linked at the end of the episode.
Or is there another possibility we could come up with for that specific phrase?
YuppieLawyer
May 3, 2006 @ 5:40 pm
I'm sure there are other things we could come up with, but I feel pretty certain that that's right--or at least that it gets the gist of it. Of course, I'm a big L/V supporter, so I am probably biased.

Mac tells Veronica that Beaver (has/had) made a bomb.
I think this is good spec. She might learn this as a result of intercepting his cell phone calls. I always thought the cell phone interceptor mention and how Mac said she was using it to spy on Beav, was a little too specific to just be a throwaway scene.
Yuppielawyer, I also tend to think it's correct. I believe in a previous Finale Spoiler Hangman they also used the term "romantically linked," so it's language common to the show. However, my hopefulness regarding L/V might also be coloring my perceptions. I just want to make sure I have all my bases covered, so I don't get my hopes up for nothing.

it fits (I know, wisful thinking) but it does explain the breakfast scene. The problem with HAARON is that it has six letters not five unless you spell it like Aaron

Logan and Veronica could be irreversibly parted as well as romantically linked.
(I hate Logan, so I'm grasping at straws.)
I like the part about Beaver being born a girl more than Beaver making a bomb.
Vinnie Van Lowe in jail is brill. Wonder why, though. But who else has a three part name?
jjfc
May 3, 2006 @ 7:48 pm
Vinnie Van Lowe is in jail fits but I don't see why or how they will fit that into the episode.
Deputy Don Lamb is in jail has been suggested but Lamb's Sheriff, and that would be some subplot to fit in the finale.
Duncan the Kane is in Maui. Almost works because he was wearing a Hawaiian shirt in the preview. But I don't know why he'd be referred to in that way.

May 3, 2006 @ 8:02 pm
I'm guessing Vinnie's in jail for helping Duncan OR for something he does to help Keith with his undercover work in this ep. I think that's right.
And I'm willing to take my chance on "romantically linked" over "irreversibly parted." A seriously impressive attempt, though.

May 3, 2006 @ 8:07 pm
I read a spoiler on spoilerfix.com about Vinnie and Keith teaming up in the finale to find a guy who has a bounty on him, so I think Vinnie Van Lowe in jail is not a bad guess.

May 3, 2006 @ 8:41 pm
Wow, is there any chance Vinnie and Keith team up to find Duncan? Maybe over the STD reveal, or for some other reason that we don't know yet?
I'm guessing that it's "romantically linked" too. And I think it's Aaron and Kendall have sex, and that Weevil is arrested at graduation. I'm not sure about the others, though. Oh, and even though I think using "Cindy" instead of Mac would make it trickier, why would they refer to her with both names in the same press release?
Le Cerf

Wow, is there any chance Vinnie and Keith team up to find Duncan? Maybe over the STD reveal, or for some other reason that we don't know yet?
They could also team up to find Woody, or perhaps to go off in search of who killed/shot Aaron. Maybe that will be the reason Keith leaves Veronica waiting at the airport?

May 3, 2006 @ 10:04 pm
I think it's Duncan has order the hit of Aaron Echolls.
Though I would like Aaron to get his might Logan get shot instead? Aaron seems to have nine lives and Logan is the show’s whipping boy. And when did Duncan get so aggressive?

Yeah, I'm thinking Vinnie and Keith both go off in search of Woody, but I'm not sure how that leads to Vinnie Van Lowe being in jail or why something like that would be considered such a huge spoiler.
Kimilu
May 3, 2006 @ 11:25 pm
I thought maybe they were looking for Duncan because I'm assuming there's a bounty for him too because of the kidnapping, and because Vinnie is the last person we saw Duncan with. Presumably he has some idea where he is (or at least where he was shortly after DR).
YuppieLawyer
May 3, 2006 @ 11:34 pm
I can't think of any reason why Keith or Vinnie would want Duncan to be found, though. If he's caught, that opens the door to both of them, and Veronica, being charged with all sorts of crimes. It just seems to make more sense that they'd be after Woody since he no doubt has a huge bounty on his head, and we know that Keith wants to see him brought to justice for what he did to those kids, whether he's responsible for the bus crash or not.

Don't know about many of these but it did occur to me that it could be Aaron and Kendal have sex quite easily.
Oh and I really really don't want the hemaphrodite story - I actually think they've set up the idea that Beaver has been abused quite sensitively and any thing else would be over kill. As to whether he's the mastermind behind it all, that might be hard to swallow but I could believe that some action of his contributed to it certainly.
I go with the romantically linked V & L bit as well and have to say wow Duncan would have had an entirely personality change if he orders Aaron's death, although that would actually be quite cool.

That's interesting speculation that I hadn't considered. In the earlier discussion, someone suggested:
Aaron is killed by Clarence Weidman
I thought that sounded likely, but maybe I was just being hopeful. The black sedan certainly looks more like something Clarence would drive, but I don't really know what his motivation to kill Curly would have been. Does anyone remember if Duncan was ever connected to Curly? I remember most of the 09ers were ...

Yeah, but the killer may not have been the one who wrote on his hand. I've always believed that was written while he was alive.

I took it that after the car hit him the driver got out and wrote on Curly's hand and then dumped Curly off the cliff. So, someone between Curly being beaten and the car hitting him wrote "Veronica Mars" on his hand?
YuppieLawyer
May 5, 2006 @ 12:10 pm
sissykay, I think you're right. If it was someone else, then we're talking about three different people or groups of people encountering Curly on that night--the PCHers, the driver of the car, and some other mysterious person. That just seems like too much to me.

I think that Curly has written her name on his hand himself. If you check out the angles, it fits to how you would hold your own hands if you were writing on it. I think that part is a red herring and that we are going to see that Curly was going to find Veronica to tell her about the crash before he was killed.
sissykay
May 5, 2006 @ 10:54 pm
You could be right there are certainly a number of red herrings this year. And yet, his hand looks limp. If I were writing on my hand I would stretch the fingers out while I was writing.

This makes a lot more sense to me than Beaver was born a girl or has/had made a bomb. It's actually the first spec that seems plausible. Even if Beaver was the culprit, the sentence Beaver has/had made a bomb is just kind of awkward. Anyway I like "Beaver got them a room."

Based on the AOL preview that went up today, it appears that the guess about Vinnie Van Lowe being in jail is definitely right. Although one wonders why it would be a "do not release" item if AOL could just go and put it in their preview.
