Too bad this didn't air on NBC:

Most people who only see the show on NBC and were unaware of the CNBC airings of the clip show will never know how bad Brent really was.

Brent was admittedly bad on the show itself, but on the clip show, it was much, much, much worse than anyone could have imagined. Brent's behavior on the first two tasks alone could have been enough for him to be "fired" after the second task (and he probably would have been if Stacy and Pepi had not been so bad on the Gillette Fusion task). Brent really did interfere in my opinion with the fourth task (Post Grape Nuts Trail Mix) a lot more than anyone realized and finally got what he deserved there.

Also notable was Roxanne privately saying to Allie how she thought Andrea was faking/setting it up to be PM of the GM/Chevy Tahoe task (the third), which of course Synergy won in spite of Brent. Loved how before the boardroom how Bryce and Charmaine in particular were arguing over whether Lenny should go.

The fifth task showed how much Andrea tried to interfere with Roxanne's commercial and drive everyone towards the way she saw it, but Sean showed why he may very well go to the end as he keet Roxanne on course more than anyone may have previously realized. In my opinion no one should have been "fired" after that task.

It also was fun seeing how Synergy was able to let loose for a bit during the sixth task (Arby's), including the dance contest the women did with Bill coming into the suite during it. It seemed to really let everyone release some of the tension that had to have been building up during the time to that point (and seeing Roxanne in particular admitting she had a MAJOR crush on Bill).

It was also noticable that Tarek and Andrea never came into "Club de Suite", instead choosing to talk about their teams behind their backs, with Tarek not liking Charmaine and Bryce in particular. Loved Allie's "This isn't Survivor" comment she made about Tarek and Andrea doing that instead of being with the rest of the candidates.

The seventh task (ACE Hardware) further solidified the opinion I already had Lenny deserved to go at that point. At least Lenny stayed true to himself, even to the end.

Finally, the eighth task (7-Eleven) showed how Andrea and Sean were strategizing how to deal with Andrea, and brought up some very interesting (and in Allie's case, very accurate) points on Andrea (including how Andrea would not fit in well in the Trump Organization), while Sean in a confessional said how Michael was "A man.....sort of." If you caught the last scene carefully, you also saw Allie and Sean kissing, so that likely gave away they are the couple that has been hinted.

Some good stuff in this clip show, with the highlight being how bad Brent really was on the show, and they even showed the "Step Up" video at the end that has been floating around of late.

I absolutely ADORED the "Club Du Suite". At first, I was thinking "Why are these chicks practicing their runway walks? This is not America's Next Top Model!!" Then, I saw Tammy who was so endearing with her "dropping it like its hot". I would so hang out with her outside of the competition. Could I love her any more!?!?

Andrea is being a big ol' bitch. No wonder Tarek is so unlikeable to most....Red Succubus is behind it all with her negative mind fucks!

Lots of people had negative edits tonight: Andrea, Tarek, Allie, Roxanne, and Charmaine. Lee and Michael had a pretty much invisible edit and the only people shown in positive lights were Sean and Tammy. I don't know what it means yet, but I do know that Andrea is SO not long meant for the Apprentice world after tonight.
Jim5944
They had a scene of Bryce arguing with some of the team about whether Lenny should be fired (this was in one of the bedrooms). Then Lee whined that Bryce yelled at women and you weren't supposed to yell at women. That entire scene felt like a very rushed attempt for the editors to do damage control on Bryce tonguelashing Trump in his last episode. "See, Bryce was bad! He was bad!" My favorite part was when Bryce said Trump wasn't a god. Then they had Trump voiceover, "I'm not a god, but..." You know it killed Trump to say that.

They had a scene of Carolyn baffled on the Boys & Girls Club task because Lee had bought a stone fountain. The fountain had no place there, which she pointed out. Lee brown-nosedly pointed out Trump loves fountains and has fountains everywhere. She didn't seem to be that impressed.

I felt like Roxanne came off as strong in this clip show and I am hoping that means she's going to be a frontrunner. She was the one who talked about how manipulative Andrea was, but she wasn't presented as neurotic the way Allie was in the clip show.

Andrea came across as all-powerful evil, and Tarek like a jerk. I liked Tarek until this clip show. The way he was sitting around bullshiting with Andrea about they were both so much better than their teams. The worst part was when he said he thought he had picked a team who would be followers. He really said this! Hate him now.

My favorite scenes were:

Tammy/Allie/Roxanne dropping it and grooving during the band rehearsals for the jingle. Allie hit that cowbell over and over.

When Michael was transferred to Gold Rush, Tarek cursed! Right there in front of all of them, even Trump. I don't remember seeing this on the episode. Do you?

I didn't think Roxanne had a negative edit. They showed her close to the breaking point once but I felt the rest was positive or neutral.

Charmaine had that repulsive scene where she flirted with Lenny because she thought Trump liked Lenny and therefore Trump would like her. Disgusting.

That was totally edited out in the airing of the episode!

Did you catch who Tarek said should be teaching six year-olds in that condescending bitchfest with Andrea?
Angel Star
Who did he say that about?

ETA: Thanks, Jim5944!

He said Charmaine was suited to plan birthday parties for 7 year olds.

What do you think the point of that scene was when Bill dropped by for the party and the women gushed over how cute he was? Did the editing people want him to look like a fool, or were they serious? I will admit he looks much cuter when is wearing casual clothes.

That was by far the best clip show Apprentice has ever had.

I think they were trying to show the lighter side of Bill....he's not just a Trumpy ass-kissing sycophant Apprentice. He's just as young as everyone else.

I do agree...that WAS the best clipshow ever! Tammy sealed the deal for being my favorite this season with her "dropping it like it's hot" during the band's intercession and at the Club Du Suite.
Jim5944
I was happy to see more of Tammy. I had no idea the women on Synergy could get down. Roxanne had the least energy of them, but Allie was dropping it all over the place. She's starting to remind me of Tana Jr.

They didn't show Michael or Tammy. Good for them, or bad for them, who knows. Did you notice Tammy was wearing Allie's blue sweater in one scene?

The fired people were remarkably free of delusion. Pepi - I made a mistake, I deserved to be fired. Teresa Torpedoes - I should have brought Charmaine in, this job is hard. Dan - this was good business opportunities. Thankfully Apprentice being a ratings flop now means the people who come on the show don't care about having a big career in the entertainment industry and they can be sane.

Boy Dan looked even better in the clip show. I miss that guy.
ghettofabman
I'm starting to think that Tarek is a plant. I don't think he necessarily knows it yet, but I'm starting to believe producers are up to something shady behind the scenes.

Actually, I am thinking that he, Andrea, and Brent are all plants.
clairedawn
This was a good clip show!!

At the end, Allie commented on how much Trump LOVES Andrea & how he is always telling them how she is so successful & owns 4 businesses & makes all this money, and they've heard it a million times & she is one of Trump's favorites.

I agree that Brent was beyond annoying in the clips they showed..he was like a year old with a one track mind "mommy, buy me that megaphone, mommy can we get the megaphone now, mommy i NEED that megaphone..."

Leslie was so cute in the "dance-off"...which seemed more like a fashion show than dancing, but whatever...I thought Allie & Tammy came off really cute too.

Loved Allie's "This isn't Survivor" comment she made about Tarek and Andrea doing that instead of being with the rest of the candidates.

Ha, that was funny! Allie was like, "The two of them are doing something...I don't mean in a romantic way, but I don't know if they are forming an alliance or what...." then she kind of paused for a second like well, how would that help, "I mean, this isn't Survivor" in a cute voice.

I re-convinced that Bryce is a psychopath...he is over the top obnoxious. I'm glad he's gone.
RhondaGC
I had no idea this was on until I accidentally stumbled across it right at the beginning. I thought maybe I had missed it last Monday on NBC.

Anyway, I agree Roxanne got a pretty good edit. I found myself liking her much more after this show.

"Le Petit Garcon"--Hee!! That was my favorite part. Loved how Lee tried to suck up with the logic: Trump likes fountains, I want Trump to like me, so let's buy a fountain! Who cares if it has nothing to do with the property. If there's a fountain on the property, Trump will automatically like it! Moron. But at least it was funny.

I absolutely ADORED the "Club Du Suite".

Eh, maybe I'm just a prude, but it felt too much like a booty call to me. Especially since the girls were the ones dancing and the guys were clearly ogling. And then Sean talking about their asses and how much he loved them all. It just left me cold. I would have rather been in the room with Tarek and Andrea than participate in that. Although I admit the dancing in the studio was pretty cute.
carricee
Eeek! Do they replay those usually? When was it on?

ETA: Found it in the Ratings and Schedulings thread, thanks!

I thought I was crazy last night when I was channel surfing and ran across this. I didn't think I saw this "clip" episode on NBC and couldn't figure out how I could have missed it. Interesting it is only showing on CNBC.

I agree that Tarek and Andrea are really coming off as the evil pair. If either of them makes it, it'll probably be the most unpopular Apprentice ever.

Roxanne had the least energy of them,

I don't agree at all and keep in mind Roxanne showed them how to "drop it".

What I did find suprising is how cute and engaging and attractive Leslie came off in the clip show. Her editing during the shows made her out to be the saddest, mcsad who ever was saddened on the show.
Jim5944

It looked more like a fashion show to me, mixed with some hotcha moves. There was a strip club undertone with the guys sitting and ogling (and the look on Bill's face makes me think he's been to his share of strip clubs), but I think that's less about gender roles and more about the men who were left. Can you picture Bryce, Lenny, or Lee dropping it like it's hot? I just did, and I liked it...

I would have rather been in the room with Tarek and Andrea than participate in that.

Hearing people talk about their own intelligence and superiority does nothing for me. They reminded me of those two stuck up witches on "The Cut" last year who were sick in bed, couldn't participate in the task, and bided their time by talking about how awful their teams were and how their teams didn't have their education or class. Tarek and Andrea need to meld into one person already - they'd probably look like Carrot Top.

Who had the most new footage in the clip show? I think it was Allie, and then Roxanne, then Andrea. I thought Roxanne's footage was mostly positive, Allie's was mixed, and Andrea's practically drew a cartoon mustache on her face. They also seemed to be trying to make up for lost time by showing us why Tarek is a jerk. I wish they had shown us this earlier, because until last night I'd liked the guy.
CheekyCricket
Sean was shown as someone who largely stays out of the fray: he listens to complaints about various candidates but doesn't get involved or implicated in the conflicts, which bodes well for him. It shows me that he's looking at the long-term picture rather than getting mired in the interpersonal crapola that drags down so many promising candidates.

Andrea and Tarek basking in their sense of superiority--just ewww! An unholy alliance, for sure. Tarek's comment about how Charmaine would be suited for organizing a 7-year old's birthday party is pretty rich coming from someone who lost his first task as PM. Charmaine didn't come off too well in the clip show, but at least she won when she led Gold Rush, unlike Tarek.

I thought the dance club sequence was cute--nice to see them enjoying themselves.
AlexaStar
Charmaine had that repulsive scene where she flirted with Lenny because she thought Trump liked Lenny and therefore Trump would like her. Disgusting.

Can someone elaborate?

Also, what exactly was 'Club De Suite?' Where was that held? What happened?

Were there any Leslie clips?
clairedawn
I didn't think she was really "flirting" with Lenny. More just like being overly fake friendly to him. And then telling the camera that lenny annoyed her, but Trump seemed to like him, so she was just going to be friends with Lenny & ride that wave for as long as she could. But it's not like she was putting moves on him. And she even told him that she found him annoying.

Ally said it was too bad they were so busy they didn't really have time to go out to the clubs. So Roxanne put up a sign that said "'Club De Suite" & basically just turned the suite into a "dance club" so the girls could hold a dance-off competition...which really just looked more like a fashion show. Bill came to the suite and hung out with them for a while. Bill was holding a bottle of water & asked them how much they had to drink...they laughed and said "not enough!!" They showed some people drinking cosmo/martini type drinks. Just looked like a lot of fun. Bill commented that it looked like this season's cast was having a lot of fun & that was a good thing & an important part of the experience.

Leslie was cute in the dance-off. She also had a camera interview where she acknowldged that she wished she wouldn't have waited until week 7 (or 8?) to "step up" and that was probably a mistake b/c it probably made her look less assertive than she actually is. Also, both evil Tarek & evil Andrea said how they both wanted Leslie on their team because they knew "she was a follower & would do whatever they wanted." Tarek said he purposely picked "all followers" for his team, so I don't know why he does so much b*tching that no one on his team will "step up" when that's why he picked them & what he wanted. And the "step up" montage they showed at the end was pretty funny - i hadn't seen that.

Andrea also said that on the first day when Allie & Tarek were picking teams, she stood behind Alllie and told her every single person to pick.
thalassatx
I haven't watched the recap yet, but I think Tarek's dead on about Charmaine. She'd be a lovely kindergarten teacher, but I wouldn't hire her to run a company.
AlexaStar
Thanks clairedawn for the help.

Tarek said he purposely picked "all followers" for his team
Funny since there is no way he'd know who the 'followers' were when he picked since no one knew anyone which was evident by the fact that people weren't even being picked by their names but rather descriptions.
Also call me crazy but Lee and Charmaine are not followers. That guy has an over inflated ego.
CheekyCricket
Tarek said that he picked "followers," but based on his track record in the show, he's scarcely more than a follower himself. Reality check for Tarek: Gold Rush's two wins came when someone else was leading the team. Whereas you lost when you led the team. He envisions himself as a great leader, but he hasn't demonstrated it. Plenty of bluster with few solid accomplishments: that's my image of him, at least in this competition.
ghettofabman
Sean provided the greatest line of the season.

"Andrea treats the girls differently than the boys. However, Andrea hates Michael immensely, and Michael is a man......well, almost."

That was HILARIOUS! I wonder what Sean was trying to infer.
Angel Star
So Tarek was contradicting himself? I believe in the first episode, right after Andrea was picked, he said that he was really hoping to get her because she ran four businesses and that takes a really capable person to accomplish that. Maybe he was just BSing but if he really wanted Andrea, then he really wasn't going with that strategy since he'd know that someone who owns and operates four businesses isn't a "follower."

So I'm not sure where he wasn't telling the complete truth - in the confessional or to Andrea's face.
marylou
I feel completely robbed. First the show really sucks these days, and then they don't show us the good parts.

I wish there was a way to see it. I'd even sit through commercials!

[/Charmaine]

Interesting that Bill came by the suite. My memory may be eluding me, but I can't remember anyone ever coming by the suite who was not a current Apprentice.

For the people who missed the clip show, you can download the clip show off of iTunes for free. I don't ever download shows from iTunes cause I don't want to pay, but free is the right price for me.

Trump dropped by to see Sam in Season 1 and at the end of Season 4 to congratulate Randal and Rebecca for making the Final 2.

Also Carolyn and George have both been there during tasks when the candidates are discussing / working in the suite.

Ok, am outside the US (Aus), and the US itunes site asks for card details (us-issued card) even for the free clip, so if anyone wants to pm me any ideas of where I could get at least a broad recap of the clip show, because it sounds too good not to see within context of the rest of the series. I'll even say "please" if it will help!
gapkid
Isn't there iTunes Australia? I saw it before. You can use your Australian credit card. You just need a credit card number to register, the episode, as mentioned above, is free.
cricketmum
Unfortunately, it isn't available on the Australian version. Thanks anyway.
