Was nnenna talking about Africa though? have we heard Nnenna going "on and on and on" about Africa? Why are people inventing stuff out of the clear blue sky to make excuses for that ignorance that came out of Brooke's mouth? Baffling. No matter HOW she meant it, it had absolutely no business coming out of her mouth. She's an ugly insecure bitch. And Brooke was harping on and on and on about Nnenna from what I saw (the limo scene anyone??) Brooke's obsessed with what Nnenna's doing and Nnenna isn't giving that girl the time of the day. she's definitely being the bigger person from what I saw. At least she doesn't resort to cheap name-calling and put-downs.
charmena...I totally agree. I don't get it; please show me clips where Nnenna goes on and on about Africa. From what I see, Brooke is a total insecure, whiny grown woman. Please, give me a break. This girl needs to go home as soon as possible.

Shout-out??? Hee.
I hope this won't double-post (an earlier post seems to have been eaten like a plate of ribs) but I have to comment on how much I love Tyra's non-verbal advice to the girls. To Brooke, I think it was? You need to be more [stomp, stomp], [head-bob], "UHH!" Thanks, Tyra. Very helpful. I must admit to being confused, though, when Tyra said Jade's walk needed to be more "Uhh" but that her krump-shoot was
TOO "Uhh-Uhh." OK, so one "Uhh" good, two "Uhh's" bad. Got it.

I love, love, LOVE Danielle's commentaries. Her description of Nnenna's hogging the phone? Priceless.
Darn it. I missed that. What did Danielle say? I love Danielle's snarky comments. As well as Joanie's. Maybe that's why they are my favs.

I'm going to turn off the snark for a moment and make a serious post.
I know Brooke's Africa comment ruffled feathers. I don't believe she meant it in a racist way, but I still cringed when she said it. It was - at best - a poor choice of words. I'm glad they showed her feeling bad about it later, when she was on the phone with her dad. I hope she and Nnenna made peace off-camera like Coryn and Lisa did last cycle.
Now, here's something to think about: this show has always walked a very fine line when it comes to race. I think Tyra has some sort of fairy godmother fantasy about taking a ghetto Cinderella out of the hood and transforming her into a princess. Eva understood this, perhaps subconsciously, and played the "thug, interrupted" role Tyra was expecting. Tiffany didn't, and we all know how that turned out. I'm not questioning Tyra's motives. I believe they're genuine and generous. I question her execution, and her knowledge of what it's really like to grow up poor.
It seems almost impossible for a girl to escape the slot she's assigned in the first week (the drunk, the boring one, miss ghetto, the brain, the nutjob, the plus-size girl, etc.). The direction at shoots and the feedback at panel all depends on which slot the girl occupies. Sara spread over a desk in a vinyl mini-skirt? "It's starting to look a little porn-ish." Can you imagine Jay Manuel if Danielle had done the same pose "ooh mama hoochie's rent is due!" or something along those lines.
Again, I think the show's intentions are basically ok. The execution is a little off, and there's a stready stream of mixed messages. I'm honestly surprised, given the varied backgrounds of the girls and the stress they're under, that there aren't more flare ups.

Danielle is my favorite, and I hope they will do something about her teeth, too, but even if they do, I don't see CG wanting her with that accent. CG is too white bread.
But I think Danielle has the most modelesque style, and her pictures are stunning.
Also, someone wrote: "Luckily Joanie has filled that favorite spot quite nicely. She's the only one in that bunch with a sense of humor. 'Work it out for God!' HA!"
I have to disagree. Joanie definitely has a wicked sense of humor, but so does Danielle. I think Furonda, Danielle, and Joanie all have great personalities and all show evidence of genuine intelligence. I also think Joanie has the look, the walk, and the ability to photograph very well. But I just like Danielle's look.
Furonda is definitely unusual looking, but I think she is cute. She has a perky, gamine quality to her. She did look much cuter, I think, with her own short hair. She is too thin, though. I think her scrawniness and the fact that she has a very unusual look will keep her from winning.
If they fix Danielle's teeth and get her some voice coaching, she has a chance--but I don't think it will happen. She will be one of the top three, but Joanie and Nenna will be the final two.
Nenna is getting the bitch edit now, though, and she isn't stepping it up with her walk (her turn was hilarius tonight), so it could be that Joanie will beat her. But, still, that little stripper thing is bound to cause them to think twice about Joanie as CG spokesperson.

It doesn't seem like Brooke asked Nnenna to get off the phone in a polite manner. I have Never seen Nnenna yapping about africa. Secondly Nnenna wasn't the only one laughing. Thirdly Brooke says Nnenna is talking about her but the producers didn't have a clip to back up that editing therefore I never saw Nnenna say anything negative or derogatory about Brooke. To me this is a big effort to show some flaw in Nnenna. Thank you Nnenna for not fitting the sterotype on an "angry black woman" who tears of the ugly jaw off Brooke's face.
And by the way we never saw Nnenna's walk at the judging room! They only showed the turn ...which almost every girl got wrong. I am absolutely convinced this is a conspiracy. I saw everybody else's walk not just a turn that they got wrong.

Okay, I missed this entirely. Brooke showed regret while on the phone with her dad? (I legitimately missed this -- I fell on the remote and accidentally switched to "Unanimous" or some junk.) What did she say?

Yes, she told her dad something along the lines of "I said something terrible" - and of course she was crying - but I'm not sure if she was referring to the Africa comment, or "you're a fucking bitch" or the whole flare up in general. She then made a big deal about not caring during the interview, but it seemed like posturing to me.
Maybe I cut her too much slack, but I also learned a lesson from last cycle when we found out that Lisa and Coryn had actually both apologized in a very mature, considerate manner after their fight - and none of that was ever shown until the clip episode weeks later.

Jay isn't being malicious and intending to degrade someone the way Brooke did, but his comments do bug me.
It's the opposite for me. I think Brooke is probably too young-and-dumb to realize just how loaded the phrase "go back to Africa" is. It bugged that she said it, but I don't think her intent was to degrade--I think she was just striking back because Jade hurt her feelings. (And her feelings
are over the top, no doubt, though I still mostly like her.)
Jay, on the other hand, has made it clear in a few episode that his view of Africa and African women is heavily stereotyped. You get the feeling that he'd like to dress Nnenna in a loincloth or some other wrongass cliche out of a '40s movie. The trouble is, he thinks he's being all enlightened and street and stuff, and he's really just showing how white he is.
All that said, I just don't like Nnenna. I started off thinking that she really wasn't especially beautiful but had a sweetness and grace that made her really appealing. Now I'm not really sure why I thought that. She's just blah, and a little too full of herself.
Leslie had started to grow on me, so I'm sorry to see her go. She was never quite as good as she should have been, but still, it totally chaps my ass to see
anyone else go home when that hag Jade, who is growing more crow's feet by the hour, is still around. I don't understand why Jade got the favorable edit and all that praise this week--I thought she was as embarrassingly bad as ever, maybe more so.

From everyone's so-called "spoilers" I thought Brooke would be going home tonight, but I'm kind of glad she didn't. It would have been a boring and predictable episode if she did, though it was totally predictable that Leslie would be going home. If not sooner, then later.
Here's what I thought about tonight:
Jade's krump dance was off the heezy. But her photo wasn't so hot. I didn't think here church runway walk was all that either. All she did was keep twirling. I could have done that.
Joanie's church runway walk was awesome! She heated it up! But I thought her photo from the krump dance photo shoot was terrible. How dare Tyra and the judges boost her head up like she's the bomb? Her signature walk was not all that special.
Brooke has a really, and I mean really sick bod. Leaving the Africa comment aside, I still think that she is crybaby, and while Nnenna should have been more considerate with the phone issue, Nnenna handled the situation better as a grown woman should have, and not cursed like crazy and gone shaming her family like a fool like some other past contestants have.
In speaking of Nnenna, she is definitely getting a bitch edit. Is it convincing? No. Nnenna is still in my opinion the least bitchy of all the girls. Brooke is too dumb, fugly, and insecure anyway.
Leslie. She takes the best photos out of any of the girls. Her portfolio is the most slammin. But aside, still just a beautiful face.
Sara. Really pretty but she does need her mojo back. In my opinion, she was the prettiest in the church fashion show. Too bad she couldn't pull it off like I wanted her to.
Danielle. I like Danielle, but I'm kind of starting to like her less. I don't know...

I definitely, definitely agree. I think Furonda is fug, but I absolutely love her. Danielle cracks my shit up... that comment about Big Ben or the Eiffel tower or whatever had me in stitches. Then, my dear sweet Joanie just keeps pumping out the hilarity. I'm loving all three of them! Despite Furonda's inability to model, I really wouldn't mind them being the final 3... they're funny. Danielle and Joanie, however, are the two best models this cycle, and deserve final 3. Excellent print models, and both good on the runway.
I especially loved Joanie and Danielle's strange, but charming freestyle rapping in the kitchen.

Brooke, if you're going to (justifiably) call someone out on bitchery, at least own it without running back to the phone to weep to your father about how bad you feel (or was that about the Africa comment? I just know she mentioned calling a girl a name). I normally don't mind shy, unconfrontational people (mostly because I was -- and to a certain extent am -- one), but when you cry and shake every single challenge even outside of household drama, it irks.
Yeah, I thought hogging the phone was bitchy, but I want to know where all the other footage of bitchy Nnenna went. Don't editors love bitchery, especially bitchery from someone doing well (at "mini challenges," at least)? If I'm supposed to hate Nnenna, I want some Jade-esque soundbites, not bland phone hogging. Hell, she was giggling at the same goofs that I was giggling at. Where's the hate, man?
The highlight of my night was my mother looking at the tv for a few seconds, then saying, "Jade just isn't that pretty to me. Why is she a model?" If someone can tell you look like a bug through a painkiller fog, it's time to go. I still have yet to see her shot up close, but she looked really rough on my television.
Oh, and "represent the black girls," Jay? Can we stick a fork in him now?

I think Brooke was rude. But... its not like Nnenna is this perfectly behaved wonderful person.
I totally agree. I don't get it; please show me clips where Nnenna goes on and on about Africa.
I know I have referred to Nnenna's lack of identifying as anything but African. To me, it's not so much that Nnenna is all "I'm african" - although her backstory was very decisevely presented complete with "I was raised in Nigeria" and "I might consider going back to Africa to be a chemist there" - but that when faced with repeated comments and commentary on how she looks like an african queen or princess, she smiles and says nothing. Nnenna saw nothing wrong with the "african" girl being put in leapard skin prints. She also does not correct people who call her african instead of american. This is no reason to be rude to her, but I do call shenanigans on it. If Nnenna was born in America and spent a significant portion of her life in America and is a citizen etc... then she is "of african descent" or "african-american".
A girl born in America who lives in france for her childhood is not a french maiden. She's an american who lived in France. Nnenna has no issue at all in embracing a lot of stereotypes about african women. I know it's a competition and I don't blame her for not refusing to wear leopard print or for not correcting the judges that she is not some african queen when they refer to her that way, but I will point out that Nnenna has yet to be confessing that she's in anyway uncomfortable with the stereotype of the leopard print black queen.

-Hopefully, Brooke will work up more nerve and smack the arrogant shit out of Nnenna.
-Ugh! I hate the idea of "guest judges" more and more. Big Gums wanted Sara out because she wasn't very good this week, she kicked ass last week and has been rather solid throughout the comeptition.

I don't know. The judges don't take kindly to girls complaining at shoots. I doubt Nnenna would complain about her costume and risk being chastised. Keenyah got fussed at for not allowing herself to be sexually harassed. Nnenna's probably used to the stereotypes by now anyway. Plus, Yaya comes to mind. When she corrected the judges about their perception of her, which I thought she had a right to do, she got nailed for it.
I have an open mind, and Nnenna's not my favorite, so I'm perfectly willing to concede to the bitch thing, but like others have said, all the editors have shown me is Nnenna hogging the phone, and giggling at Brooke's commercial (which Joanie also did). I love me some BOGO Payless shoe sales as much as the next person, but I don't go 'round rockin payless as though they are high fashion... Where did the budget of this season go?
I think they're being realistic. None of these girls are going to model high-end products.
The elimination always bugs me because JADE should be going home before anyone. I'm beyond tired of her. She's not entertaining at all, just obnoxious. The runway challenge didn't seem at all fair to me. Jade had on a swing cape, while everyone else had some sort of draping that would be really difficult to swing, but oh well.
Are any of these other tramps entertaining? Although, I am enjoying this season far more than either C4 or C5.
They all had "swingable" clothing, Jade just worked her outfit more.
As big of a bitch that C3's Camille was, I remember her being blasted for telling the go see agent that her walk was her signature walk. The panel (Tyra and Co.) really let her have it for that.
Camille got in trouble for being bitchy at the go-see, not because of her walk. The client asked her why she walked like that and then Camille went on some rant about how she was chosen out of thousands of girls, etc. Tyra advised her that if the client didn't like her walk, she should have said that she can do it differently. Bre did exactly that at the go-see with the "punk" designer (and that wasn't even a "fake" casting).

True as well. Say what you will about FuckingYaya, but at least she had the guts to call them on the fake kente hat that smelled like doodoo.
I think Nnenna is choosing to not rock the boat. ANTM operates in a black and white world, after all. Either you are a proud African/Asian/Latino queen or you are a self-hating race traitor. (I'm exaggerating, of course, but there is overtones of that.)

I also heard Joanie's comment about the 'compeition' to become AMTM now being between her and Jade Wow. I think that Danielle is a better model than both of them put together. Is Joanie's arrogance starting to show??
I think Joanie was specifically talking about the church runway twirling challenge.
Even so, it was arrogant considering Danielle is better looking on the runway than either Jade or Joanie. Danielle looks younger, has long limbs and her walk is solid.
Joanie and Jade do not have runway bodies.
Another thing, Joanie seems cool and all, but she looks older than she is and lacks poise and refinement in person.

Yeah, thats why I don't blame her, but I will call her out on her lack of "confessional" complaining on the topic. If Nnenna doesn't want to be identified as "The African" then she needs to do more than smile and nod when she's being called an african princess.
I suspect that Nnenna has no problem using her african heritage to get ahead in the competition. That's fine - its a competition etc, but if that's how she's going to play, it's going to cause resentment. (wasshername from New Orleans would have run into a similar problem)
For the record, one phone and 8 people using it - Nnenna was playing too fucking innocent for my tastes. Brooke was not the only one commenting on it and when you're on the phone for any length of time in a group setting, you need to show some self awareness.

For all the talk of the Brooke/Nnenna racism charges, I thought Mr. Jay's repeated remarks about black vs. white and dancing ability were way more offensive than anything that came out of Brooke's mouth.
I couldn't agree more. It was so lame how he just went on and on and on about it. Talk about stereotypes! Brooke is just young and over-sensitive (or *sentimental* if you live in Jade's world!) and I really don't think she meant it as a racist remark.
Leslie definitely deserved to go; girl has no personality and is boring as hell. I'm loving Joanie more and more, especially if they get rid of that snaggletooth. She rocked the fashion show and her walk was awesome.

I think we should discuss how the hell anyone can successfully model with a BALD HEAD....people will be sick of your bald head in no time and simply not book you...wigs can only do so much....
Actually, there's a pretty well known top model by the name of Alek Wek. She's African, but has lived in England most of her adult life. She's got the whole, "exotic" and "close to bald" look going for her. You don't see her much now; but for the past 6 or so years, she was pretty big on the world catwalks. So it is possible to be successful without much hair... And no, she never wore wigs either.
I get her success, she's known as being the absolute nicest model out there. It's unbelievable how down to earth, geniuine and friendly she is. Nnenna on the other hand is just a flat-out BITCH!
I think Joanie was specifically talking about the church runway twirling challenge
I agree. Joanie was talking about that challenge specifically, and not the overall competition. I mean come on, does anyone in their right mind believe that Jade actually has a chance of winning the whole shebang? Oh wait... this is ANTM. DAMN!

Well, here goes:
I'd be annoyed as hell if someone sat their stoic ass on the phone for all hours of the day, without a care in the world if anyone else needed to use it. Brooke was saying that apparently Nnenna had been talking about how great Africa was, and so she said, "Then go back to Africa," in a whiny voice. Not the best choice of words, but I personally did not take that as a racist sentiment. But that's me. And Nnenna does not appear to care about a whole lot. I'm glad I'm not her dog. Actually, I doubt she would have a dog. I'm glad I'm not her boyfriend. Count that as very glad. In other news, mustaches are out.
Church fashion show:
I'm sorry... actually, I'm not sorry: Joanie is awesome. She was the only one who gave attitude, grace, and personality walking the runway. She was robbed! For real. The woman in the front row looked like she was seeing God or something, though, when Joanie stomped by. But good for her, anyway, her little fan was working overtime. Apparently religion excludes air conditioning. Jade looked like an escaped convict attempting to hide in a convent. With black wings. And a middle ear imbalance.
My favorite part of the episode? When Crazy McClown et al. came out with all that energy, and then Jay says he needed to get a edgy photographer as well. Enter Blandy McIrish saying, "You all will need to bring the energy that the guys had to the shoot," with as much energy as a NPR announcer. Jay really found one in this guy. Whew. I wonder what would have happened if they tried to emulate his energy. Probably alot of bangers and mash eating, and maybe a drunken Irish jig here or there.
Things Sara is probably thinking and would like to scream:
1) "What the hell am I doing here?"
2) "I'm 6'1"? No way! I actually keep forgetting, thank you so much for reminding me!"
3) "Send ME back to the mall? How 'bout not sending your damn recruiters out looking for me! Dumb bastards. I was just fine at Bloomie's 'till your damn crew interrupted."
I would venture to say Nnenna's "personality" is on par, or even looking up at, Mollie Sue's, and even Leslie's, since the characteristic is on the chopping block. She didn't krump. She was a stump. Snore. And whoever said she looked like the Cheshire cat, kudos. Seriously, I'll buy you some Kudos. Oatmeal-raisin.
Anyone see Jade "brushing her shoulders off" while walking up to accept her photo? Puh-lease, pissant. Only thing she needs to brush off are her vocabulary, (gen-DRE)? and other personalities that have been taken hostage by the borderline one. Seriously, maybe that's why she talks in third person all the time. Who does that?
Okay, everyone. Work it out for God!

Brooke was not the only one commenting on it
One of the things that frustrates me is when the girls don't back each other up. If Nnenna's phone use was truly such a huge issue, bothering everyone, a simple "you know Nnenna, Brooke's right, you do hog the phone" from one of the others
might have defused the situation. The same thing happened with Gina and Jade, both at the restaurant with Janice and in Gina's bedroom. Nobody backed Gina up even though they all knew she was right.
Oh well, I guess Jade is right... this isn't America's Next Top Best Friend.

That was a pure Payless Ad. It definitly drew attention to the model and the show. Danielle is still my fave because she seems genuine, funny, and talented. I like her gap, I think it makes her stand out.
I thought Jade's picture was the worst. Brooke's was really good. She has a smoking body. I don't think that her comment was meant in a racist way. This show is so heavily edited, we don't know exactly what happened.

If Nnenna's phone use was truly such a huge issue, bothering everyone, a simply "you know Nnenna, Brooke's right, you do hog the phone" from one of the others might have defused the situation. The same thing happened with Gina and Jade, both at the restaurant with Janice and in Gina's bedroom. Nobody backed Gina up even though they all knew she was right.
I think it's because at the end of the day, most of these girls know that if someone is wrapped up in drama, they are most likely going to be off their game. Plus, 9 times out of 10, they've probably been gossiping on both sides of the fight and don't want get called out. I don't think any of them are innocent.

I thought Jade was twirling too damn much during the church fashion show. How she won that challenge is beyond me.

Correct me if I am wrong, but did Tyra chastise Danielle for having a good walk, and then said at panel Danielle looked too natural in person?
Danielle, you need to have an exaggerated animated walk that is completely UNfashion like, and come to panel looking like Ronald McDonald (see Jade).

I agree, except that in these two cases it's the girl who wasn't really a threat anyway that suffers most. If you play it as a strategy, it would make sense to speak up and fluster Nnenna or Jade over letting Brooke and Gina hang themselves.

Me too. I think it was process of elimination...nobody else twirled! I remember Joanie giving it a shot, but everyone else seemed to treat it just like another runway competition. As soon as Jade twirled, I saw the judge in the backround start clapping hysterically. I think if anyone would have twirled a lot and made a big scene with their outfit flying around, they would have bet Jade.
It's amazing that you get all those diamonds for basically twirling around..in a church.

Yes, but at this point it's a case of "been there, done that" ....after all, this is the fashion industry and designers, etc. are always after the next new thing not yesterday's news....

Lawdy, lawd Jade was like some kind of Bobo the Clown on crack during that church fashion show. "Wee! Beautiful. Wee! Biracial. Wee! Butterfly."
And...PAYLESS SHOES?! What next? We're gonna give you each a torn camping tent from Goodwill's. Work it!

Nah--They already did that with the burlap sack challenge in Cycle 4.

Brooke's "back to Africa" comment was not acceptable. That type of slur is in fact usually used against people who are actually from the place they are told to go back to. For example, saying that someone should "go back to China" or "go back to Mexico" is not less offensive if the target is actually from the place mentioned versus not being from there. Such comments are very loaded, and people shouldn't be flippant about saying them. Frustration is not an excuse.
the only parts I saw were Miss Jay's runway coaching (finally!) and the Brooke/Nnenna smackdown. Miss Jay actually (ding!) gave some good comments, and per Brooke's comment to Nnenna: I don't think it was racist, because she is African
Ms. Jay taught them runway a few episodes ago. Remember the Giant Shoes of Death?
Nnenna's African background doesn't make the comment not racist. I don't know about it being a "fact" that it's used more so against people actually being from said place. When maliciously used, it could be based simply on someone's skin colour and not on knowledge of the person's background.
However, I agree with the few comments of those upthread that said it was not said with racist intention. Although, Brooke had to have known had bad it would sound. She shouldn't have said it under any circumstances. I cringed when she did, but I always "pick up" on those kind of things quickly and I wasn't feeling it this time. JMHO
Speaking about race issues in this episode, what was up with Mr. Jay excepting all of the black girls to do so well
because they were black? And Tyra's "La Brooke! You look ethnic!" comment? This show never fails to surprise me with ignorant nonsense.
Anyway, this episode was ten times better in comparison to last week's crapfest.
Jade, Furonda, Sara, and Brooke had great pictures. I like that Sara had a different angle in her pic than all of the other girls. With her leg stretched out, I think she used her height to her advantage and it works. Leslie was good, but it was not much of a stretch from her other photos. All of her work was always just "nice". She needed to go and I'm glad that the judges are cutting out the dead weight. I would really hate to see how she faired at a go-see with that heinous posture + walk.
Danielle's close-up was just off and Nnenna needs help. I could see Joanie's pic as a
Candies-type ad, but I still think it was underwhelming.

What an awesome episode. I too initially thought Brooke would be the one going home. But, she really did take a good picture. WRT the phone kerfuffle, Brooke should have confronted Nnenna in a more direct and rational manner. Running away while calling someone a fucking bitch is a punk ass move. Hiding out in your room and shouting at the same person to go back to their continent of origin is even more cowardly. Nnenna seems to have no patience for the namby-pamby. Perhaps Brooke should have called her and whined about it, then maybe Nnenna might have listened.
How much did I love the Aswirl Twins? The answer to that would be a lot. I wish they'd teach me how to spin properly.
It was kind of unfair to give Joanie wedges in the turn competition. They are super hard to rotate around in. It should have been easier for Nnenna in those needle-thin stillettos that always want to spin out from underneath you half the time anyway.
Too bad Leslie's very best turn, strut, and flounce was the one she did as she was leaving the judging panel after being eliminated. Why didn't you do that sooner? You might not have been the one going home.
Lastly, clowns freak me out so much that I almost couldn't watch the photoshoot. Go away, scary clown man!

Danielle is my favorite, and I hope they will do something about her teeth, too, but even if they do, I don't see CG wanting her with that accent. CG is too white bread.
Yeah, and we all know you can't get any more "white bread" than Queen Latifah...hmmm?!
Correct me if I am wrong, but did Tyra chastise Danielle for having a good walk, and then said at panel Danielle looked too natural in person?
For whatever reason, TyTy isn't feeling Danielle at all. I hope Danny ups her game real soon. I want her to at least be in the top 3 and I thought her walk was awesome.
Watching again, it looks like Leslie has a displaced hip or something. She walks like a girl I went to school with that had curvature of the spine.
Also, I cracked up when one of the twins made that comment about Sara's heig
TH.
And another thing, Tyra needs to seriously give the ghetto-speak a rest already. Her and all of her
LA-Brooke and
LA-Breshia...
LA-shutthefuckup
LATyra. It's old and it's tired.

"White bread" is an attitude and a world view, and even though CG has Queen Latifah doing spots for her special line, the overall CG feel is bland and not at all edgy or risk-taking. I think Queen Latifah is a national treasure, but she does not in any way "threaten." She seems as safe as Oprah. Danielle doesn't sound like CG. If it were not for her accent, I would consider her the frontrunner. But her Southern accent is not the Southern Belle type, but the "poor South" type.
When I was a child being raised down south, I had a "poor South" accent. For example, when I moved to Pennsylvania at age 12 1/2, I didn't have the "ng" sound at all. I said "sinGer" and "rinGer." I also said "Pinnsylvania." I was mocked for my accent, so I soon divested myself of that obvious class marker.
And that is precisely what I am talking about. Danielle's accent is a class marker, and that is why CG won't have her as a spokesperson.

And in "Boring People from North Dakota" news, Nicole is still feigning interest in pretending to be engrossed in whatever's going on around her when people ask her (fake) questions. Seriously. And one would think that they would attempt to edit the segments to make her and her proceedings appear glamorous, but they can't even do that.
Look! Nicole's interviewing John, an intern from JCPenney's! Oh, they appear to be trading eyebrow upkeep secrets. And oh, wow! Paramus News and Times is snapping her picture right and left! Oh. They thought she was baby Jessica, the girl who so many years ago was caught down in that well in Texas for so long. Ah, such is life. But then again, who isn't shown up by baby well-dwellers every now and again?

Racist/xenophobic/whatever, Brooke's comment was still out of line. You just don't SAY that type of thing about someone.
I'm tired of her constant crying too. She reminds me a lot of Michelle in Cycle 4. Only Michelle didn't talk shit behind people's backs.
And on the UPN online clip, Nnenna doesn't ask Brooke how she did all the time. It was Jade. Nnenna gives Brooke a small hug from behind. Wow what an evil woman.
On a positive note I love Joanie more and more. And those twins were so cute.

It's true, isn't it? Nicole's bland, affectless delivery makes Naima seem scintillating!
