There are so many hot bodies on TV, it's crazy (and unrealistic)!

Seeing as how television is filled with hot bods, who do you think has the best one?

For me, it's like this: For the females, Sandra Oh. For the males, it's Wentworth Miller.

I chose who I chose because out of all the bodies I've seen, those ones amaze me the most.

Hottest male body goes to Ben Browder. The few times on Farscape that we've seen it are jaw-dropping moments. He's aparently quite tall but he's well-proportioned enough that he doesn't look like a giant (and Farscape had a fairly tall cast anyway). He's nice and furry up front and, most importantly, he's not top heavy. His lower body is as breath-taking as his incredible torso. A truly, achingly, painfully beautiful man.

Major, major megaword, fadooski! When I saw the title to this thread, Ben Browder was the first thing that popped into my head. For all of the reasons you listed. The man is a spectacular display of good looks. ...those leather pants... mmmmmm....

I rather think the woman who plays 6 on Battlestar Gallactica has a fantastic body. Tall, lean and just smoking hot.

Ricardo Antonio Chavira. He's tall without being a giraffe, and muscular without being overdone. Just . . . Perfect. Masculine, yet cuddly.

Marcia Cross. The men of DH all refer to her as "The Body" and for good reason. She's lean, tall and classy.

Brian McKenzie from the O.C. gets my nomination for hottest 20-something teen body.

Just as Ben Browder is the standard for filling out a pair of leather pants, this boy was made to wear wifebeaters. He's got this compact, muscular boxer's body. His sinewy arms, full chest, well-fromed shoulders and trim waist betray an almost tensile strength. When he's playing Ryan Atwood, a tough rough around the edges thug, he really knows how to use that physique of his effectively (his bearing and body language).

It's such a turn on for me (and this applies even more to Browder) when a man knows how to take up space. I tend to fold myself in when I walk or sit, eventhough I'm clumsy and ungainly; not a good combination.

I'm gonna have to throw in a vote for Maven off the new season of Surreal Life and formerly from Tough Enough. The guy has obviously been working hardcore on his "musk-culls" since before Tough Enough. I'm usually not into beefy types but for some reason it works on Maven. It probably has a lot to do with his personality because he comes across as the type of guy that's really humble and non-meathead-ish.

Amber Tamblyn. I don't have any good reason, she just has a really cute behind, and is well-proportioned instead of rail-thin.

Giving a shout-out to the pint-sized hot bods:

Sarah Michelle Gellar: Girl is between 5'3 and 5'4 (I've read both), proficient in martial arts, and really well-proportioned. While she's definitely trim, I would never lump her in the same bobblehead category as a lot of other twenty-something actresses.

Kristen Bell: Not only is she a better actress than about 95% of her peers, but all her movements convey such an assurance. To quote a former teacher, she seems to be really comfortable in her skin. And she was really hot in the Maxim spread without being distasteful -- how often does a feminist-minded straight girl get to say that?

Josh Holloway, Matthew Fox, Naveen Andrews, & Daniel Dae Kim on Lost: Enough with this Dharma Corp shit already. I miss the first 40 days when they were all shirtless and scrounging for food and monsters in the jungle.

I'm going with Jason Momoa. Right now he is in Stargate: Atlantis (I don't watch it). He was in North Shore (horrid!) and Baywatch: Hawaii (horrid!). And he was in this painfully bad Lifetime movie called Tempted (it's like How Stella Got Her Groove Back, except really, really bad and with Virginia Madsen in the Stella-type role).

So he's in all these crappy shows and stuff, right? But the man's body is the sexiest thing I've ever seen in my life. He's tall, lean, but with amazing muscles. Also, when his face isn't covered by facial hair, he is the prettiest man EVER. My friend and I call him The Walking Sex.

I was watching Entourage last season, and Eric started dating Ari's nemisis's daughter, and when I saw her at the Bar Mitvah scene I was like "That bitch stole my body." Emmanuelle Chriki. Incredible.

Also, the girl who played Courtney on General Hospital because we have the same body type, but she "went there" and got all buff and super hot.

Tiffani Theissen is amazing too. I love that she's not crazy skinny, but slim and booby and looks different than anyone else.

And Drea De Matteo, both on Sopranos and on Joey. She works hard on her body and you can tell. I appreciate that.

God, yes. I've heard people complaining about Josh for not being as cut, but whatever. I'm all about the arms. And I still remember the cries of "Jin is HOT!" during that one episode when DDK showed up onscreen sans shirt. I love that show.

I second Wentworth Miller. I think his back is just so sexy--and he has the most gorgeous hands too.

Emmanuelle and Samaire Armstrong are both hot.

Sarah Shahi from The L Word and Teachers is incredibly hot. There was an episode of TLW earlier this season where she showed her backside. I swear that was a big topic on the boards over there.

Agree on the Lost men. I could stare at Daniel Dae Kim shirtless all day and have nooooo complaints. Hold on a sec, I'm replaying the scene in my head right now. Ah, memories.

Back when I was a teenager, I thought Steve Burton on General Hospital had such a fantastic body, in particular his abs. Those were some good abs. No idea what they're like now, but in the late 90s? Oh yeah.

Mariska Hargitay has a body to die for. She isn't twig thin and she has such fabulous curves. Her arms are BRILLIANT!

I feel many things when seeing Ryan Carnes of Desperate Housewives with his shirt off, including thoughts of myself as fat and disgusting. That guy could put anyone to shame, really.

Trish Stratus of WWE has always had a great body (she's a former fitness model, for God's sake) but after her last injury she did a lot of yoga and physical therapy and she returned with a very lean, "Pilates" body. Girl just turned 30 and looks younger than she did when she first started 5 years ago.

I agree on Kristen Bell. Great abs. Sean Maher from Firefly also has some lovely abs. I also think Christina Hendricks, who did a guest spot on Firefly and was a regular on Kevin Hill, has a great, curvy body. She did a nude scene on Firefly and I realized how rare it is to see a TV actress whose ribs you can't see from the back. She actually had some back fat and it looked great. I can't believe I just typed that sentence.

I'd also have to go with David Boreanaz. He was looking better than ever in that Bones episode where he has his shirt off. And speaking of Angel alums, how could I forget Charisma Carpenter? She's another one who's been around for a little while, but is now looking better than ever.

I also thought Kari from this season of America's Next Top Model had a great body, so of course she's been eliminated already.

Yeah, Tiffany Thiessen and Lindsay Price. I like that their bodies look so firm without being all muscles, and yet still so curvacious.

I don't get to see many men without clothes on TV, so the only ones that come to mind are Nick and Jamile on So you Think you can Dance...I have a weakness for brown skin and muscles on men.

I bow to the alter of Wentworth. I'm not a big fan of tatoos, particularly multiple, all-over-the body tatoos. But I saw pictures of him as a model. And boy is he hot. His body teamed with those blue eyes, and a girl can melt. Easily.

As a Korean, it's hard to find hot Asian men in American media that isn't portraying in a martial-artsy way or emasculating them [or both]. So, I'm glad that Lost is portraying Daniel Dae Kim in a better light as the season progresses.

And Nick from Survivor Exile Island has the hottest body I have seen on my screen in forever. His torso is so long! And cut!! Drool.

I know she isn't everyone's favorite but I thought Stacy Keibler from Dancing with the Stars had an amazing bod. Those legs!

If you're into ALL the goods, I'll see you Chris Meloni and raise you James Purefoy from HBO's Rome. He did some incredibly hot ALL scenes. The man is gorgeous!

I must agree about Josh Holloway's shirtless torso; it makes me lose the ability to form coherent sentences (I don't know why. It just has an effect on me. And I too have read that some people think he's not "cut" enough and, while it's probably true -personally I think that's crazy talk, but if you look at other actors it's accurate-, I consider it a good thing). But I love me some Matthew Fox back and arms, too.

Also, Julian McMahon. THE best body I've ever seen. Tall, with really really (really) broad shoulders, a nice manly chest and a very narrow waist. He's amazingly well-proportioned- probably the closest thing to the ideal male body.

Oh, and Justin Theroux, Six Feet Under. You know, speaking of ALL. Sigh. So cut it was almost scary. Almost. You could practically see every single one of his muscles. Extremely well built (if not a little too thin. But, y'know, ALL).

Also, speaking of Asses of Life, Jensen Ackles. He's kind of curvy in a masculine way (his legs aren't your typical male skinny legs, they're rather muscular, and so is his torso/back), and, well, his ass. Shapely.

I don't think I ever saw him on SFU, but after seeing him as Marshall the irresistible pot-smoker several years back in The Broken Hearts Club I fell in love with him. I didn't see him shirtless until the Charlie's Angels sequel ... damn.

Physically, I would have to say that the best female and male bodies belong to Brooke Burke and Franky G of Johnny Zero fame, hands down. I was surprised to hear that Brooke looks like that after having kids and it also amazes me how much of a physical speciman Franky G is even though he is a bit over 40 and totally looks 20!

Franky G is over 40? Damn. He's definitely a hottie, and I agree that he looks like he could be in his 20s.

Jon (of Kris and) from TAR6 was smokin.' If I recall correctly, the man had ridiculous washboard abs. He was tall, but not too tall, and just had a great physicality about him. Freddy (of Kendra and) was supposedly a model, but Jon blew him out of the water. And he seemed to be an incredibly nice guy to boot and totally in love with Kris - which made him even more sexy and attractive to me. And Kris was bangin' as well. They were probably the hottest bodied couple so far on TAR.

And this will probably warrant a Scooby Doo stare, but there was a lady on the HBO show Carnivàle who had the best naturally curvy, full-figured body on TV. I think she played Rita Sue (my memory is foggy since I only watched season one and it's been a while). I think the actress' name is Cynthia Ettinger. Someone please correct me if I am mistaken. Anyway, she had a few nude scenes, and I thought she was gorgeous. In the world of TV where many women are either waifish or sculpted within an inch of their lives, she was a notable exception in my mind.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Eko) is not as cut on Lost, but I have seen him bare-chested when he was. Hello! Yummy. He is another man that has great physicality to me as well. Why is this man not married yet? I would be all over him.

If we're counting reality TV, one must mention Reichen Lehmkuhl from The Amazing Race. Anyone who's bought one of his calendars knows what I mean.

ITA, she's got a great, healthy-looking body, and I think has great proportions. I'm glad she's got long hair again now too.

I think Sean Maher (Simon in Firefly) has a gorgeous body - toned, but not scarily so. I think the episode ‘Objects In Space’ is one of my favourites mostly because it's the one where he has hs top off! And Adam Baldwin (Jayne in the same show) has a great body too, in a different way. He has the biggest biceps, and he's so tall and manly-looking - there's a man who knows how to take up space!

Possibly now my favourite phrase ever.

I must admit that Ryan Starr's abs made my own abs want to hide in a corner in shame and weep hot tears of envy. They were (and, I'm sure, still are) SO great.

I first saw him in Mulholland Drive and thought he was cute (in a geeky kind of way), but when I saw him on Six Feet Under, he hit me like a ton of bricks. He has a beautifully lean, ripped body. However, something about his facial features bother me. Can't put me finger on it, though. I have seem him with facial hair in pictures, and that seems to be make me feel better.

This thread isn’t complete without Renée O'Connor. I mean, her abs were so great they damn near got their own place in the credits! There’s a good reason her costume kept getting smaller and smaller as the years went by.

I always found it pretty funny the Xena was shown as being more physically apt than Gabrielle, when it was so obvious that in real life it was Renée that was in far better shape than Lucy.
