Personally, I think he has been back to his old self more this season.
The ultra-white teeth really bug though.

This season, it seems like Fixodenture Bill is a bit more obnoxious as a viceroy than ever before. I appreciate the fact that he was the first, but damn with that sense of entitlement he lords over the aspiring weasels in the boardrooms!

I think Bill has done a very good job as viceroy. He always makes good and reasonable points. He is also been able to see the games people are trying to play and calls on their bullshit. He may not be as outspoken and authorotative as Carolyn which is understandable as she is years senior to him in Trump Organisation. This is true that he has been more of himself this season. He seems much more comfortable. And his recurring appearance proves that his presence is not merely rating booster.

I do like him as a Viceroy. I htink he's well suited for the role.

I think he fits the role well...he carries himself very well and doesn't seem as desperate to have Donald or Carolyn approve his comments. He seems to really have a pulse on what is going on with a task and how effective it is.....i like him....but i still think he is a little bit of a tool!

Yes, I think Bill does a good job NOW, I think last season he said a couple things that were rather irrelevant and also used cliches ("step up to the plate" was his favorite). This season I totally agree with your assessment of him. He seems sincere and he makes good points. I don't think he's a tool or a fool, not in the least.

I thought he was very toolish in previous seasons. A little too busy brownnosing TD, and always looked really tired and gloomy. Now it looks like he's having more fun and bringing the snark--which is good, as Carolyn really is wearing on me for the most part.

In this last boardroom, Bill showed how he can skillfully register a disagreement with Trump's decision, smoothly following up with a courtier's yes-man deference.
Unlike his boss, or even Carolyn, I've yet to see Bill make a point or criticism that's illogical, wrongheaded or simply spiteful. Cliche-ridden, yes, but not stupid.

I think his comment to Stacy that they'd "never know" what really happened between her and Brent was incredibly stupid. I was honestly surprised she didn't say that, you know, cameras were there recording every second of it.
It's one thing if Trump just doesn't care enough to bother looking at the footage, but for Bill to dismiss the incident as some unknowable "he said/she said" thing when everyone in the Boardroom and every single viewer knows that's not true was ridiculous.
I do think he seems much more comfortable this season; but I don't really think he's had all that much of value to contribute since he told the Apex women in S2 that trying to play personal games in the Boardroom was a poor idea.

How do you know there were? It would have been easy for the camera operators to have missed the original confrontation and what we saw looked staged.

Bill's followup post to his blog on the Yahoo! site suggests that he didn't agree with Trump's reasoning in firing Dan. I mean that he seems to disagree with the reasoning, but not with the decision itself. At least he never says he disagrees with the decision: he's "diplomatic," as usual, to put it politely, because he does know on which side his bread is buttered, (heck, he's ever bit as "political" as Lee), but his response to the viewers who criticized Trump for always wanting to bring in the idea guy or girl is as close to saying "Trump was wrong" as I've ever yet witnessed:
Reader's comment:I feel like blame the idea guy is just a safe way to prolong an already short life on The Apprentice for most candidates. Despite Dan's mistakes, he showed a great deal of integrity by not bringing Lenny in the boardroom. Dan recognized that each person should be responsible, since everyone backed the idea, and no better ideas were produced. To take Lenny in is about as ludicris as taking the whole team in for not coming up with something better."
Bill's reply:
I couldn't have put it better myself. They had a very short time to come up with an idea and begin taping the commercial. At the time everyone agreed to go with the castaway theme.

What a jerk, ambushing Andrea in the middle of the task to try to get her to say Michael was a lousy PM. The undead don't have to sleep, so she was alert enough to avoid his mind games, but Bill making me almost pity Andrea made him earn my hate. That embarrassing boot lick to Trump yet again about how easy it was to fire Lenny - then why did they even have a boardroom? What purpose does Bill serve?
Go eat a sandwich, Bill.

What the heck was up with Bill? He went around the entire Boys&Girls task asking bitchy and pointed questions to people. Someone is having a REAL power trip.
What was up with the "Bill stars in Ace Hardware's ad" too?

Yeah, someone was filling his oats a bit too much.
Also, his face looked messed up on that commercial. They should never to close-ups on his face again. Ever.

I think he was out of line scolding them in the middle of the task. It's one thing to ask questions but... I don't know if it's right to help a team by making them aware of what they are doing wrong.
But maybe they liked the confrontation aspect and wanted him to do it.
I think his points are much more on point than George, who seems to fixate on stupid things.

I don't know, this season, he seems to be getting more and more obnoxious as the days go by whenever he is a weekly viceroy. I think he is the first to ever ask how a PM is doing on a task IN FRONT OF THE PM! I guess he is doing it just to try and make the most of his last year with Trump.

The difference between Bill and George:
Bill (when talking about Dan): I liked him.
Trump: Did I make the right decision in firing him?
Bill: oh...oh yeah Mr. Trump.
Trump: Leslie will be successful.
George: I wasn't that impressed.
George will always be better than Bill because George doesn't kiss Trump's ass.

This was another Tool Time episode for Bill. I kept picturing him IMing Trump, OMG!!! Char-Char was like totally washing her hair! OMG!!!!
His expressions in the boardroom made him look like he'd been sucking lemons.

Why was Bill not asked for his opinion in the finale? He spent a decent amount of time with the candidates during tasks, and apparently viewers saw him in the audience. Did Trump forget to ask him during the live show?!

That didn't make any sense to me either. George spent about 3 episodes with this group of people (although he had the grace to not laugh at any of them).
I hope he's doing OK. He has looked very sick this season.

I liked Bill this season so I was disappointed that he wasn't asked his opinion at the finale. He did see alot of this year's candidates but I think I figured out why...he's no longer on Trump's payroll. How long ago was it that he resigned?? It was some time before this season was taped, we know that but since he's not on the payroll anymore, I guess Trump doesn't want to know what he thinks.

I seem to remember reading that he'd resigned as well ... but then. Points to ponder: he made so many appearances on TA, which filmed not very long ago (October-November 05); he did that cheezy commercial; he writes for the Apprentice on Yahoo; the Rancic Bio on yahoo doesn't say one way or another; but he didn't appear on the live finale.
OK, here we go. There was an
announcement from Sept. 05 that says he planned to move on when his 2nd contract extension expired in March 06. I didn't find any info on what he's doing now, but admittedly I didn't try too hard to find anything.

I remember that:
He was supposed to work with Elizabeth (Jarosz from season two) on some project as I understood it at the time.
That very well may have happened, however, Bill I believe is also dating one of Donny Deutsch's assistants (as Deutsch always brings up whenever Bill has been on his CNBC show), and that could have changed things.

this was surprising because Bill was there for all those episodes and he knew how the candidates did. After all he did his opinion wasn't valued and he should not take that crap.

I am not sure if Bill ever had an opinion. I guess there was nothing to value. On the other hand, Bill was such an obvious tool, that he was probably happy for having another opportunity to be on TV and enjoy his 15 minutes of fame - I bet that having an opinion was not part of his contract.

I think Bill's commentary was generally very good, and it was nice to get an "insider" perspective on the tasks he had observed. But I also enjoyed his "podcasts" that I discovered only recently (on Yahoo website)--I think they were really very good and motivational.

Hello everyone. After months and months of reading about various shows and enjoying the forum topics/postings, I have decided to venture out into cyber-writing. The added incentive is due to the fact that I met Bill Rancic at a lecture last week and I just had to tell everyone and anyone who had an ear about my experience. My friend and I attended the lecture and had excellent seats. Bill spoke about his passion for business and how it was practically innate. He spoke of his trials and errors and laughed about the errors. He is a speaker who has such a hold over the audience when he speaks (kind of like Bill Clinton, except with a centered moral compass). Unfortunately, due to editing and Trump, no one can see his true talent on television. He is charming, passionate, seemingly honest, and has a sense of integrity and values. When I went to get my book signed, he spoke to me for quite a while about my education, career, and business. He asked to keep my business card in case he needed to contact a consultant. According to my friend, I was apparently composed throughout the conversation. This was a good thing because as soon as we got into the hallway, I just gasped and headed for the water fountain to get a drink. Oh, by the way, he is quite aesthetically pleasing.
