Saw Gigi at Marscon 2006 in Minneapolis last week. Can't say much, other then she kneed some guy in the groin, played in the snow, and is based stateside now.

The kneeing came about during some kind of loosely planned opening ceremony skit. I also understand that she did some impromptu things to kill time during the masquerade (costume contest), which imploded as they tend to do.

Quick update:
Raelee Hill announced as guest for the Official Farscape Convention David Franklin May 26-28, 2006 Marcon 41, Columbus, Ohio David Franklin June 23-25, 2006 Apollo Con, Houston, Texas Raelee is an absolute gem of a person. She is luminous in real life - and so charming.
Last year at Burbank David Franklin did an Elvis (Heartbreak Hotel) impersonation during his Q&A. It was really funny. And really good too.

Holy shit. David Franklin's going to be in Houston?! That's only a 6 hour drive from where I live! And I have a friend who lives in Houston who I've been wanting to visit. I... I... I could go to that con.
Wow, I'm going to have to give this some serious consideration. Now if it was Claudia or Ben, or Gigi, I'd give it an automatic yes. But I do really like DF, and this will probably be my only chance to see a Farscape cast member.
On the negative side, I don't recognize a single other name on the guest list for Apollo Con. And my friend in Houston is not a scaper, and probably wouldn't want to go with me. But still, I never thought I'd get the chance to go to a con and/or see any of the cast (I don't make enough money to justify the airfare/hotel costs for the big cons). And holy shit, I could see David Franklin! Sorry, I'm just a bit gobsmacked at the thought of it.

Some of us saw David in Vancouver last year, and he was really funny. And friendly. And, ahem, honest.
Go for it! Convert your pal. Although I'm sure you'd meet other Scapers there.

Heh, well, he's just very open about some of his more embarrassing experiences as an actor. Just ask him about ripped costumes and the Braca calendar. And evil boobies.

And how you just can't ... ahem ... return the offending appendage to its original position.
I leave it up to your imagination what he was talking about - but I thought I was going to choke. Especially at the sad, resigned look on David's face while he told the story.

I thought David Franklin was so funny in those Scaper Studio videos (Burbank Convention 2003 or 2004?). "Loquacious..." He seems hysterical.
I think any of the cast would be fascinating to see, but I have to confess that the only one who'd inspire me to pay for the privilege would be BB. *girly giggle* Geez, what am I, twelve??

I popped up to my local cinema last night and met Gigi Edgely. I’d heard that the movie she’s in would be premiering there and I thought I might catch a glimpse of her. Glad I did; it was a really low-key event, and I was the only fan there. I wouldn’t have recognised her, I don’t think, (heaps taller and younger than I expected) except that when she walked up the two photographers started flashing away and telling her to stand and so forth. Once they were done, I just went up – no one else there – and said “hey, just wanted to say hi, I’m a Farscape fan.” She went “Oh!” and put out her hand to shake mine and asked my name, saying “hi, I’m Gigi” (lol), and was like “So you’ve come to get a Farscape fix . . .” Basically, she was really nice and friendly.
I didn’t get to see the film – it was invite only – but I hung around a bit for the rest of the people to arrive. There were some actors who looked vaguely familiar but I couldn’t quite place them – that’s the Australian film industry for you. No red carpet, no big deal, very casual. It was quite interesting. As I said, I’m glad I went – hope Gigi felt like she had at least one fan there!

Me! I will be. I have my gold ticket in my sweaty little hand and my plane flight booked. :) Very much looking forward to it. The best part is partying with 'Scapers. :D
The Scapecast will be doing a live podcast from the convention as well. Which should be hilarious since we have never done one before. Plus we are thinking of having some of our characters from Tralk Talk perform. I am especially looking forward to Dr. Ernestine Spam and Captain Kurt Hogthrob interact. *snicker*

I'm going, as well. It's local to me, so I don't know if I'm going for the whole thing, but I did buy a charity/breakfast ticket.
This should be interesting. I've never been to a single-themed con before.

That is excellent drgnfille! I will be at the charity breakfast too. You will be able to find me with all the other Scapecasters - running around looking harried with our iRivers. :)
Has anyone got any questions you want to ask the cast? I always end up tonguetied during the Q&As, and can never think of an intelligent, insightful question.
Help!
By the way, Ben won't be the only guest - There will be Anthony Simcoe, Wayne Pygram, Gigi Edgely, Raelee Hill, Paul Goddard, Kent McCord and Dave and Lou Elsey.

Apparently David Kemper is coming
back to TV with a 5-picture movie deal and a new series.
I can't wait to see what he does with the movies. Maybe Sci-Fi's Saturday drek will raise itself out of the midden heap. My opinion, I should add.

From various hints that have been dropped over the last year, Kemper has been talking to some of the Farscape cast about these projects.
So keep your eyes peeled. We might get lucky and see the magic again. :)

Hey Firecracker! I can't believe the Con is less than 2 weeks away!
As a FS newbie, I just know that any question I stand up and ask will have already been asked a million times before, so I won't humiliate myself on the spot. :) But I have a couple of questions to throw out there, and if they aren't ones that have been asked before, feel free to snag 'em.
- Question for Browder, who sang in a handful of episodes. I know Claudia Black is a trained singer, but is Ben? How much singing has he done, and does he have any plans to do any more? (This from a professional musician - he has a nice singing voice!)
- Theater geek question for any of the cast (or 'Scapers interviewed): If you had to cast a Shakespeare play entirely with Farscape actors, which play would it be, and how which roles would the actors play?
Heh...don't know that either of them are necessarily intelligent or insightful, but there ya have it.
Have a great time at the Con!

Good question. :)
Sadly Claudia won't be at the Burbank Convention for us to ask her. BUT she was scouting out locations in Alberta to film the movie and she was in BC, Canada (next door to Alberta) - with a work permit and everything - for over a year, so hopefully now that she is no longer swamped with SG-1 work she can start working on One.
In Alberta.

Even tho it won't be going out 'live' - when it does go out I hope you guys tune in to get a taste of what the con is all about.
And Fridays podcast - Episode 15 - will have the conclusion of Jacob's interview! (The best part - in my humble opinion. ;) )
