My love for Lori and Dave just doubled tonight. They absolutely rocked the detour. Hooray for science-based tasks! They beat the wall climbers, too.

My hate for Eric and Jeremy just doubled tonight. Last week I really didn't pay much attention to them but the horn-dog comments tonight completely turned me from indifference to dislike.

My respect for Fran and Barry recovered just a bit when Fran provided some nice support for Danielle. But they've been dead to me after walking by the clue box last week. That said, I think they are living on borrowed time.

My like for Joseph and Monica improved - hooray for Monica getting into the spirit of the competition and pushing beyond her limits.

I still don't hate Lake and Michelle. He's loud but he's racing. I'm not ready to write him off.

I also loved Wanda and Desiree's reaction at the Pit Stop. They were sure it was the end although I'm not sure why.

Overall I enjoyed the episode. I wasn't sorry to see Lisa and Joni go (at least not Lisa). Joni just needed a better partner. I'm still really loving this season. Can't wait for next week!
DavidK93
I’m feeling very conflicted about Eric and Jeremy. On the one hand, they are horrible. Clearly. But I cracked up about the male prostitute thing. And even them talking about hoping to get some sex , or trying to get into the Pinks’ pants later, I also found enjoyable. The reference to butt-spanking did not offend me. The reference to a Speedo actually titillated me. And the little potch in tokhes really titillated me. And then the idea that they might have to hook up with hippies? Hilarious. Does my system lack basic defenses against That Guy?

Incidentally, Eric and Jeremy and BJ and Tyler are easily ten times gayer than John and Scott were.

For me, personally, it would have been a no-brainer to choose the sugar cane over the waterfall climb. However, I can see where a team confident in its own physical strength would benefit from choosing the climb. And it’s always fun to watch people attempt that weird hurky-jerky ascender thing.

Was it just me, or did this leg strike anybody else as very short? I mean, there was the initial clue, the bunch before the Road Block, spoon-fed buses to the Detour clue, and then the Pit Stop clue at the completion of the Detour. Teams got their Pit Stop clue as early as 10:30, and the hippies hit the mat at 10:40.

I’ll kind of miss Lisa and Joni. I grew up on Golden Girls, and those women are like a pair of six-foot-tall Rue McClanahans.
YourMom
Another solid ep. I feel like the good teams are really establishing themselves. Usually it takes three or four legs before the best teams really distinguish themselves. But I think four of the top five teams are very good (still not sold on the Nerds).

I still hate Eric & Jeremy. They are the tooliest tools that ever tooled, but Phil's reaction to them was the best. I also still hate the Double Ds (lack of brainpower) and Lake & Michelle (asshat and enabler).

I still like Ray & Yolanda (strong, functional team), the Hippies and the Nerds (schtick still not wearing thin on both teams, but the Hippies bugged a little more than last week), and Wanda & Desiree (fun and cute).

I'm starting to like MoJo, stupid nickname aside. They're fairly innocuous. Fran and Barry are starting to work my last nerve. Two straight weeks of moronic detour decisions. I'm having disturbing flashbacks to Mereditch & Gretchen in that respect. But I do admire Fran's attitude.

Lisa & Joni, don't let the door hit ya where the dog shoulda bit ya.

ETA:

Incidentally, Eric and Jeremy and BJ and Tyler are easily ten times gayer than John and Scott were.

WORD.
SeaBreeze341
When it looked like Double D, Fran/Barry, and Lisa/Joni wouldn't change places, I was thinking to myself, "Man, these bottom teams better step up to the plate or else they'll all be out!" Fortunately, Danielle/Dani improved and passed F/B, and Lake/Michelle, until Lake/Michelle beat them in a nice footrace.

Fortunately, F/B are still alive, and L/J aren't! Yay! And BJ/Tyler won! Yay! After swapping with Eric/Jeremy, I was thrilled. E/J did great, but shut up about the girl talk already!
pollybug
Oh. My. God.

Those two wanna-be Frat shits DID not just call Phil a "bitch" and threaten to slap him. And what is with all this hooking up nonsense? I think that they are trying too hard to establish their hetero-ness. They certainly didn't seem too upset in thinking that a man had a nice ass.

Hearing Lane shreik, "I'm comin' after you baby!" is possibly the scariest thing I've ever heard on this show. And why the hell are he and Michelle still wearing those motion sickness patches??? Will they be wearing them all 30 days?

I was so happy to see the pairs on the last bus -- all my least favorites. Frosties, Lake/Michelle, Fran/Barry. I didn't mind the girls until they started buying into the dickheads' pathetic flirting. I was hoping that it would get a flat tire.

At least the Frosties weren't screaming this time. Small blessing. I would've rather kept them than the Fran/Barry. Those two are so effin annoying.
Franz
Eric and Jeremy should just wear shirts that read:

"We're straight. Seriously, we are. We promise, we're not gay...really."

They try WAY too hard.
jjohnson78
Eric & Jeremy - still assholes. "We gotta make the girls feel good so we can get in their pants later", "I'd spank her butt" - God, SHUT. UP. And their continuing strategy of following other teams to locations, while certainly within the rules, comes across as kind of distasteful to me. What the fuck was up with them being so pissy about 2nd place - dudes, Desiree and Wanda (still LOVE 'em) dropped three places and they were still thrilled, so grow up. And one other thing, dipshits - DO NOT be threatening Phil.

I liked Monica a lot more in this leg than in the previous one; she seems to have toughened up a bit and handled a physical roadblock with no complaining and a postive attitude. At this point I'm willing to write off her tears in the last leg as frustration borne of competitiveness.

With the taking of the bus to the wrong terminal, that's 2 MAJOR screw-ups by Lake & Michelle at the start of both legs of the race. Not good for their long-term chances. I still don't think Lake is in Jonathan's league in terms of hatefulness yet, but he started getting there REAL fast en route to the pit stop. In other news, the word "baby" is going to be filing a restraining order against him shortly.

Still adoring Dave & Lori - of course they'd take the science-oriented roadblock!

Good riddance to the Glamazons, or at least Lisa. Joni was a kind, supportive partner to her despite Lisa's wailing all through this leg.
Cubanita
Good riddance, sisters. I wish Fran/Barry coulda tied for last place and been eliminated too. Sheesh. WHY? do the rappeling folks?

Love Ray/Yolanda -- step up the pace.

Wanda/Desiree - Sweet

Lake -- shut your piehole. Yike!
corgi-ears
Eric and Jeremy: "We've got sex on our minds."

Cut to: BJ and Tyler leaving the pitstop and opening their clues.

I love you, editors.
mtlchickie
Eric and Jeremy are officially the first ever TAR manwhores. With such gems as "We gotta make the girls feel better so we can get into her pants later", they're keepers! (GAG.) Not to mention their stellar follow up to Phil(lip) "I outghta smack you, woman." WOMAN?! Based on last season's pants, he seems way more man than you two cretins. (And will always be way, WAY more attractive to me.) I say at TARCON, the women ignore these two and throw ourselves at David. At least he loves his woman, no matter how cutesy they are.

Good Roadblock, but I'm a bit concerned that the 6/6 is not in effect. Not only is that going to mess up the TAR whimsy game, this was the one recent rule change that was needed. I really hope it was a editing mistake.

Phil speaking in Portuguese with that accent almost makes up for that ensemble. Almost (Bring back the TAR7 stylist!)

I liked the detour as one of them was actually relevant to the country for a change (Nerds and Ethenol=kissy kissy. Yay!) Though watching the ascender takes me back to TAR5 and when a certain Bowling Mom met their fate.

Ah Screechies...I mean Glamazons. I wish I could feel for them. But...they screech. And even Fran and Barry, stuck with a replacement car, manages to outrace them. Whew! That's my race!
Calreusop
E/J? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE! They were getting on my last nerve last week, and the "Where's the damned Phil?" remark sent me over the edge. I think out of the sisters, it was mostly Lisa that annoyed me. I love W/D even more, and Lake needs a chill pill.
Muwarr90
So is the Chip & Kim rule not in effect for the Roadblocks this time?

The two sex crazed slackers and Lake can all leave my TV anytime they want, I won't mind.

Phil....Phil doesn't like being called woman.

Detours...Roadblocks, you know what I meant.
dekko
Best. Eyebrow raising. Ever.

Why do I get the feeling that the current standings are pretty much the way the whole show's going to work out?
SeaBreeze341
Those two wanna-be Frat shits DID not just call Phil a "bitch" and threaten to slap him.

But the best part from this was Phil expression toward being ready to kick their asses, via a single "Brow"!
Wildcard28
The biggest problem with this season is that they have/had three teams that seem to have no chance of actually winning. Other than that it's going pretty well .

I also think that the we saw our top three teams this evening. BJ/Tyler, Eric/Jeremy, and MoJo seem to be the most consistant and will probably be there at the end.
fredscott
Hey now, Eric and Jeremy, you better not be talking about hitting Phil. I don't even like it when people hug Phil, so hitting is a definite no-no.
dogfoot75
I have never disliked anyone on TV more than I dislike Eric and Jeremy. Did they do anything by themselves today? They followed BJ and Tyler around the entire leg and making obscene comments isn't really going to endear you to anyone.

Even in glasses and a ponytail, Desiree is pretty. Dave and Lori seem to be a pretty strong team; they read clues and seem to be pretty good with directions. Joseph and Monica are my pick for being the top runner I'd actually like to see win.
cutecouple
Incidentally, Eric and Jeremy and BJ and Tyler are easily ten times gayer than John and Scott were.
Agreed. Nice of the Race to have some non stereotypical gay teams.

I am curious to find out just how badly the Frosties and Fran/Larry fell off the pace. The last time I remember any team getting so far behind was TAR 6.
mharvey816
My love for Lori and Dave just doubled tonight...
My hate for Eric and Jeremy just doubled tonight.

My thoughts exactly. Dave and Lori are gen-yew-wine, the real magilla, and I love watching them rock the race. Gotta love the Mr. Wizard shoutout!

And as for Eric and Jeremy, I am firmly on the Hate Train. Which made the 1st place finish of the Hippies all the sweeter, y'all.
Hey now, Eric and Jeremy, you better not be talking about hitting Phil. I don't even like it when people hug Phil, so hitting is a definite no-no.

Indeed. I'm sure it was included solely to give us the joy of a slow eyebrow pop, but still, boys? Shut It.

Even though Fran and Barry are probably gone next week, I thought their attitude when their car battery died (and they had to wait for their replacement car, per the Blake Commemorative Replacement Rule) was so much better than Lisa and Joni, who only had to drive the damn car which did not have have a dead battery. Sheesh.

"I think we're winners"...except for that whole going home 2nd and not winning at all part. Heh.
I also think that the we saw our top three teams this evening. BJ/Tyler, Eric/Jeremy, and MoJo seem to be the most consistant and will probably be there at the end.

Oh dear, does that mean my Nerds are destined for the Fan Favorite Finishes Fourth slot? NOOOOOooooooo!
SeaBreeze341
So is the Chip & Kim rule not in effect for the Detours this time?

There never was one for Detours.

Lake was actually pretty cool tonight. He's still aggressive, but has toned it down a notch. Ditto for Monica (not really bad, but a lot better than whatever she was last week).

The Frats are makin' me gag.

Tonight's episode was kinda meh, I thought.

Still better than FE, though.
mr e
You know, technically, I think a million dollars *could* buy you a trip around the world with your sister.

I mean, I get it, but still...
kenyaj
Somehow, I don't think that was the first time Eric said, "That guy's got a nice ass." But, ugh! Between talking about how much he wants to have sex during the race and touching Danielle's ass, he proved himself to be nothing but a pig. He and Eric can't be gone soon enough. I wasn't sorry to see Lisa and Joni go, but I wish it had been these two tools instead.
momo
I really don't like episodes where they stagger the departures of buses, trains, or airplanes in order of arrival, thereby practically cutting the filed in 3 parts, the first group is guarantreed not to be eliminated (and I never really get excited about who finishes first on a particular leg), and one member of the last group will usually be eliminated. Maybe one of the teams from the middle group falls behind enough to be "included" in the last group.

Anyway, they do this kind of episodes several times each season, and I really really don't like them.
carolyng
I have to say that for all their attention-loving ways, not one sexist comment passed through the lips of BJ and Tyler tonight. I cannot say the same for Eric and Jeremy. Their schtick is wearing real thin.

Continue to love the Nerds and Mom/Desiree, though the preview scared me a little.

Not sorry the sisters left. No room for a defeatist attitude on the race.

Fran and Barry performed a little better, but their task choice continues to baffle me. You would think the press would have been better for them. But, then again, they madie it on the climb and probably would have finished a little better if not for the car break down.

The girls? Matching outfits? I no like. Also, if you don't slap the frat brother's face when he tells you to turn around so he can touch your ass? You deserve whatever else he dishes out to you.
realityremote
I just love the hippies! Especially when they were nostalgic about the classic VW bugs when they were banned in the States in 1977 - four to five years before either BJ or Tyler was born! They have the greatest attitude about everything they do and it's boding well for them.

And Barry and Fran's delight that they were still in it - just great.

Maybe I still have a case of Oscar fever, but young Desiree looks like a brown-eyed non-preggers Rachel Weisz. A very good thing!

After the farty family edition, this Race is back on top where it belongs (and where Eric adn Jeremy would like to be!)

Love Phil's raised eyebrow.
Stinger97
My hate for Eric and Jeremy just doubled tonight. Last week I really didn't pay much attention to them but the horn-dog comments tonight completely turned me from indifference to dislike.

Being a 19 year old male myself, I can't fault these guys for making comments about girls. It's human nature, and just because they're on a race doesn't mean they've lost their testosterone. I did find their perpetual boner for BJ & Tyler a bit disconcerting.

I liked the sisters, so I was sad to see them go. They weren't terrific racers, but not every team is. They had a good run.

Still hating Lake and Michelle, though Lake didn't grate as much as the last episode. His constant screaming during the leg does manage to get on my nerves, though. I was hoping his rope would snap during the repel.

Dave's mention of Mr. Wizard? He's a winner in my book.

I still think the episode should have been titled, "Punch Buggy White, No Punch Backs!" Anyone else?
Franz
Oh, I just noticed. I guess there's no limit on the Roadblocks anymore.
KellyA
BJ and Tyler are the Ambiguously Gay Duo from SNL.

I think I'll take Lisa and Joni and the Bowling Moms in stereo over the front running male teams that can't leave sex out of any conversation. So not likeable.
Miss Alli
Especially when they were nostalgic about the classic VW bugs when they were banned in the States in 1977 - four to five years before either BJ or Tyler was born! They have the greatest attitude about everything they do and it's boding well for them.

That's why I think they're so obnoxious and phony. Those are not your roots, assholes. They predate you by years. You can't make yourself something you're not.
SeaBreeze341
I have to say that for all their attention-loving ways, not one sexist comment passed through the lips of BJ and Tyler tonight. I cannot say the same for Eric and Jeremy. Their schtick is wearing real thin.

I think it's surpassed that. I'll give them credit, since it really isn't an act and this is how they act in real life. Maybe one or two comments of this would have been sane, but this is pretty much as common as watching the Weavers pray and talk shit about other teams before complaining about the other teams talking shit about them! Sad thing is that given Eric/Jeremy's actions, it means that the "Frats" might be the real "villains" and not Lake.
perrylane

I totally agree DavidK93, when I heard "pit stop" I did a double take at my clock. It felt way too soon - I would have liked to of seen at least one more task.

I am definitely feeling more nerd love tonight.

The hippie schtick is getting a lil old but I did enjoy the "Philip!" at the end
ehkca
Why do I get the feeling that the current standings are pretty much the way the whole show's going to work out?

That's what I'm afraid of.

Fran and Barry? The good news is you're still in the race and the bad news is you're still in the race. No hope of winning, but a couple more days of hard slogging jet-lagged torture. Have fun with that.
mjtigger
Pretty good episode IMO... taxis, great tasks, muscles, physical exertion, stick shift demise, dead battery.

Love/Hate:
  • Love tripled for Dave and Lori- they mentioned Mr. Wizard!!
  • Ray and Yolanda are still up there in my mind- nice muscles on both of them, and Ray admiring his gf was sweet
  • I started to like BJ and Tyler more this episode too- not as showy
  • Desiree? still beautiful.
  • Lake didn't seem as bad, but I reserve any change of mind until I see more episodes
  • Hate Eric and Jeremy. Such crass, obnoxious annoying boys. "So we can get in their pants" - saying that immediately takes away much chance that they will.
  • I actually started liking the Glams right before they got eliminated.
  • Everyone else- "eh".
ETA: I didn't notice the lack of 6/6 either... uh oh, I don't like that at all.
Culturemaven
Yeah, I completely agree with the anti-Eric and Jeremy sentiment being expressed. As jjohnson78 pointed out, they pretty much just followed other people around, and their obvious disappointment at missing out on the prize in first place was really...distasteful. And I could do without the constant "We're gonna get sex" talk, because dudes? You're lucky if your HAND will go to second base with you.

I'm not feelin' Fran and Barry, but appreciated her supporting Dani at the top of that building (that tall, tall building. Man. That was a tall building). Good for them for finishing that road block, it looked tough. But they're no Don and MJ.

Still lovin' Dave and Lori, I knew they'd go for the distilling option. Play to your strenths. BJ and Tyler sort of grated on me tonight. Joseph and Monica seemed to function well, and for someone who is "intense" he doesn't seem to be an "asshole". Yes, I still hate Lake and Michelle. Well, really I hate Lake. I have mild distaste for Michelle.

Looks like several people have directional difficulties, which always makes it more fun.

I can't wait till the Russian dolls next week! That looks like a true, old school, originial style TAR task.
lightofthemoon
I'll really be sad if the Roadblock rule is gone now. That made things really interesting.

I was surprised how much my opinion of teams I didn't like last week changed. Except Eric and Jeremy. Still hate them. I'd pay to see Phil kick their asses, though. But Monica and Joseph definitely rose in my opinion this week, and Lake and Michelle were almost tolerable. Almost.

Bye bye Glamazons. My eardrums aren't sorry to see you go.
lulee
I’ll kind of miss Lisa and Joni. I grew up on Golden Girls, and those women are like a pair of six-foot-tall Rue McClanahans.
I think that's why I didn't like them.

Brazil to Moscow -- it'll be interesting to see what the flight connections are.
Miss Alli
You can keep your opinion that a woman who doesn't respond the way you think she should "deserves whatever else he dishes out" to yourself. We're not having that, like, at all. It's a comment FAR too easy to misinterpret and take out of context, and it's going to start fights. Please think twice and post once. Thanks.
hpyelf
"Where's the damned Phil?" remark sent me over the edge.

I was in the other room when I heard this and my reaction was "there is no way they just said that". Thank you for conferming that my hearing isn't failing me; and Eric and Jeremy..you must be Philiminated next!
Wry Bread
The girls? Matching outfits? I no like.

No, but the yellow is much better than the LOOKATMEI'MWEARINGPINK pink.

The episode didn't change any of my opinions, but my dislike for J&E increased exponentially, and Lake continues to make me want to hit the mute button. His incessant mid-coitus "baby's!" got old 45 minutes into the premiere.

Stay afloat, Wanda! (Is there a A Fish Called Wanda joke in store for next week?)

ETA: I almost forgot to express my joy at the Glamazon elimination! Hooray! Joni (or Lisa?) is one of the few racers I can remember crying outright at elimination.
mr e
OK, so who's ready for Celebrity Death Match: Eric & Jeremy versus Phil and his brother-in-eyebrow, the Rock?

Gotta love how Phil bypassed the comments toward him, and went straight to calling them out on the childish behavior. Kind of like a grandparent: "is this how you are back home?" Translation: "you know, people -are- going to see you being such jerks on national TV..."
bettymojo
Danielle and Dani are just gross. So gross. What the hell was that "gimmemore" hand gesture at the pit stop? Good lord women.

I still don't know how I feel about Monica, but her boyfriend is so damn hot. I love him. I'd want him to be my boyfriend, but then Monica would be free, and then Eric and/or Jeremy would hit on her, and I wouldn't want to inflict that on any girl.

It was cute to see Fran and Barry excited because they are still in it, but by the looks of the darkness they arrived in, I believe next week will be their last, barring non-elimination.
SchoolofRock
Shut UP, Eric & Jeremy, you freaking closet cases, and get off my TV.

And take the Hippies with you. Damn, those two teams are working my last good nerve. I love having TAR back, but it sucks to have the strongest teams (so far) be so grating. I know the Hippies have plenty of fans and I know they are not complete louts like Eric & Jeremy but I loooooathe shtick and therefore find the Hippies unbearable.

I like Wanda and Desiree a lot, and will be rooting for them, with the Nerds a close second. And I'm starting to warm to Joseph and Monica.

I was terrified watching Fran do the rope climb at the beginning, I really thought she was done for. She can be annoying but she's got a lot of guts, that's for sure.
stopeslite
Best line of the night: Dave's homage to Mr. Wizard.

Loved BJ and Tyler winning. Tahiti? Not worth as much as the 20k last week, but oh, the better to rub it in Eric and Jeremy's faces. Hey, we're going where there are hot chicks!
I also thought they rocked the tasks. Those baggy thrift clothes hide some incredibly fine bodies, I'm thinking. Did you see how easily they shimmied up that climb?

Lake: SHUT UP. NOW. I can't stand the hyper-screaming. That's just as bad as the poor lost glamazons, in my opinion.

Fran and Barry: Nice of Fran to help out Dani, but the climb? What were they thinking???

Ray and Yolanda: I'm starting to lose the love a little. They seemed too grimly focused this leg, and didn't enjoy anything.

Eric and Jeremy: One more nasty comment, and I hope all the other racers slap you, and hold you down so Phil can punch you a few times himself.
strategery
Pretty good stuff tonight. They got the bunch out of the way early. The key was obviously the bus ticket order -– but they made that depend both on the RB performance and some navigating, so that was nicely designed.

Nice Detour too. The ethanol was a bit more let-chemistry-happen-to-you than I might have hoped, but that’s still better than a let-gravity-happen-to-you task. Too bad the other one wasn’t “Nuke It,” in which you had to assemble a small nuclear reactor -- just to keep the alternative fuel theme. (Maybe they're saving that for India.)

Eric and Jere-me-so-horny? I have to admit I was wrong about them last week. They are complete tools. If you wanted to go on Blind Date, dudes, go on fucking Blind Date (though now I do wish CBS was throw in some pop-up bubbles ranking on them). And “. . .get in their pants later”? If there is any justice, I have a feeling you two will not end the race as masters of your domain. (You called it last week, SnarklePuss.) And did they say, of Phil, “I’m gonna smack you woman”? You two are dead to me.

Another win-win elimination tonight. Hope Fran and Barry are far enough behind that they get creamed next week. How in the hell did they win the T-Mobile play hard whateverthefuck contests it was (with no offense to whereverthefk)? And you could tell right away when, after the bunch, the last 3 teams off the mat were back in last that they all suck as racers. And they’re all in the same position now.

Next week: Moscow and Matryushkas. Been there, love that.
gjj
That's why I think they're so obnoxious and phony. Those are not your roots, assholes. They predate you by years. You can't make yourself something you're not.

Agreed. It reminds me when punk started really being covered in the media. All of a sudden, you had people wearing designer punk clothes that cost as much as one of those veedubs. You know, why commit to a lifestyle or an ideal when you can just acquire the look. They are so bullshit - they didn't even pick the good clothes from the vintage store where they purchased their persona.

Eric and Jeremy? Please call JOhn and Scott - they have the key to help you open up your big old fear closet. THe obsessive hetero talk seems really just a version of, "I think he doth protest too much."
fashionista79
I’m feeling very conflicted about Eric and Jeremy. On the one hand, they are horrible. Clearly. But I cracked up about the male prostitute thing. And even them talking about hoping to get some sex , or trying to get into the Pinks’ pants later, I also found enjoyable. The reference to butt-spanking did not offend me. The reference to a Speedo actually titillated me. And the little potch in tokhes really titillated me. And then the idea that they might have to hook up with hippies? Hilarious. Does my system lack basic defenses against That Guy?

I've known a couple guys like E&J. It's best to treat them with the eyebrow pop (just like Phil did). These are the kind of guys that say stupid shit, thinking that they're clever and funny and that you want to hang out with them all the time because they're cute, "funny," and "clever." Let them entertain themselves. You throw them a couple of "Oh my God, you're such a dumbass" looks every once in awhile. Eventually they go away. Or you learn to ignore them.

I'm really liking Ray and Yolanda. I loved Ray saying that Yolanda's legs are stronger than his. I hope they go far. I hope they win.

BJ & Tyler, on the other hand, are trying too hard. Yet, I still like them. There's something appealing about them.
keg411
Monica/Joseph (MoJo? Really... okay) give off a Kris/Jon vibe.

ETA: Joseph is not Jonathan. He is cool (so far) and not an abusive asshole (so far).

I kind of like the frats, but I have zero defense against "That Guy". In fact, I usually like "That Guy". I have issues. I did think it was funny how they intercut their "talking about girls" with unintentional (or maybe intentional) Ho!Yay. Besides, with the exception of Kris/Jon, I kind of liked all of the "hated" teams -- Romber, Colin/Christie, etc. -- although they seem like they "raced" more than Eric/Jeremy did this episode, so we shall see).

The hippies are cool, but got annoying after a bit. The Nerds are precious. Loved the "Mr. Wizard" bit.

So far every other team is kind of meh to me. The arguing couple are annoying. The Staten Island girls are pretty but dull. The mother/daughter (I think?) seem alright. The older couple isn't long for the race at all (but will probably get saved by one of those non-philiminations).
BoDiva
I really like MoJo, so I've made up this whole fantasy in which they were given the nickname by dorky friends of hers in college or something. It could happen. I think maybe last week's tears had to do with way too much nervous excitement buildup. Now that they're a couple of days in, she's settled down and they seem to have a pretty nice relationship.

Adore the nerds more all the time. Really like Dani and Danielle because they seem to have some self awareness and they raced well today. Love mom & daughter.

Hate Lake, hate the beach bums. It isn't only that the boys keep talking about sex. It's that the talk doesn't seem at all natural. It seems like forced for the camera, aren't we hot young studs, fake as it comes talk. Not that fond of Fran & Barry (and that makes me think of Frankenberry.)

The greeter looked so sad for the Frosties.

Loved Phil's eyebrow pop at the beach bums. Stupid twits.

I'm excited about Moskow and nesting dolls. Such a scarily random task.

And I don't think the bums will be staying up front. Eventually a task will separate teams and they'll have to navigate for themselves. There's been no evidence they can. And they really shouldn't be disappointed to be in second. They waited to leave second on purpose after finishing first in the first leg. This saves the embarrassment (if they had the wit to be embarrassed).
ThatBadgerChick
E/J with the "I'll be touching your ass now?" The HELL?! Can you see if I have any polyps while you're up in there, doc? Jeebus.

That one pink did have awesome guns, though. Can I have her arms and Yolanda's legs in my next life?

The oldsters are making horrible detour choices. "We don't know anything about motorcycles!" "We don't know anything about turning sugarcane into alcohol!" What the hell, lady? Have you ever watched this show?

Yay for Moscow on the next leg! And OMG, I totally had a dream last night that I was eating the caviar!
